Cheri Jacobus was always a vaguely-annoying famehound who thought Twitter would make her a star. The election of Donald Trump melted her brain and turned her into a hysteric. And a Democrat.

And now she's fretting that the North American Man-Boy Lincoln Association (hat-tip to El Kabong) is taking all the money from Democrat donors that will be needed in the midterms to pay for their vacation homes and private Korean boy band performances.

I started reading the Great Battles for Boys books to my littles. It requires some explaining at times, but they have decent pictures and are written briefly enough and elementary enough that it is not a worthless endeavor. I can see that and if any spending was cut at all I'd be for it no matter what the source. I used to argue that we needed to promote and push for real cuts in typical right wing stuff like military and intelligence and law enforcement (there's waste everywhere), to show good faith.

Neither do we. At least I don't think so. Purina says that 99% of their pet food is made in the USA. It's not just foreign products that are being affected. Our local resteraunt can't get the right fish. Our grocery store ran out of dairy products. None of those come over on containder ships.

The shortage problem is bigger than the MSM is letting on.

Imagine you need 100 components, parts etc. for a product.
You need all of the 100 (especially if it's something sophisticated). So if you are out one, the product doesn't get made.
I dunno about pet food. We started stocking up on cat food weeks ago. But people all see the same things, and may have started buying up all the supply on the shelf, because nobody is sure about next week, anymore.
As we merrily move along to a low trust society.
