Cenk Uygur: I Would "End" Joe Rogan If I Fought With Him
Incredibly, hilariously, pathetically, Cenk Uygur claimed that he would beat up Joe Rogan should they get into a fight-- that Cenk would "end him," as he claimed.
Cenk based his ludicrous claim that he could beat up a fit mixed martial artist -- Rogan was a black belt in Tae Kwon Do when he was younger, and then became a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu when he was older -- despite being an obese, non-athletic clown with no training in combat.

I don't understand this comical conceit of some very soft men that despite never training in a combat sport, despite having no interest in a combat sport, despite never even training to throw an effective punch, despite never sparring or fighting someone in the ring or in the martial arts studio, despite never doing the intense two minute drills of throwing constant punches and kicks partly just to train yourself to have the lung capacity to even be able to breathe effectively during a fight -- Despite having not spent a single minute in 30 years fighting or preparing to fight, a lot of "men" just think: Oh, I'd naturally just be good at fighting. I'm pretty sure my "natural instincts" would just kick in and allow me, a person with absolutely no fighting practice or skill, to dominate in a real street fight. No one thinks that despite having never taken a guitar lesson, their "natural masculine instincts" would just kick in and let them play guitar at a near-professional level if they had to during a Guitar Duel. No one thinks that despite never swinging the bat or practicing one's spring, one's Natural Aggressiveness would just turn on and allow someone to hit homers in a college-level baseball game. No one thinks that, despite having never studied a field like civil engineering, their Heart and Spirit would just take over for them if their physical safety were on the line and allow them to suddenly design a bridge or train tunnel. But a lot of idiots like Cenk, who I guarantee you does not even know how to throw an effective punch, think that they're just good at fighting for some unspecified reason. Cenk, you're a big fat tubby softbody with no physical training, barely any muscle to speak of, and zero mental toughness. I guarantee you that if you were in a fight, all your opponent would have to do is circle you and dance outside the range of your chubby-boy fists and you'd pitch over with your lungs seizing with adult onset sports asthma within two minutes. You're a joke. The fact that you once sat on a smaller kid in sixth grade does not mean that you're a naturally-gifted pugilist.

In order to be a full member (Black Scarf)... you need to take a test, where you fight for a full 5 minutes straight, against multiple Tigers (one at a time)... That's 5 minutes of full on, non stop fighting. You are then evaluated as to how well you did... ie, were you still safe, how was your form at the end, did you give up.
Damn hard test.

In order to be a full member (Black Scarf)... you need to take a test, where you fight for a full 5 minutes straight, against multiple Tigers (one at a time)... That's 5 minutes of full on, non stop fighting. You are then evaluated as to how well you did... ie, were you still safe, how was your form at the end, did you give up.

I saw a fit dude do a "simple" workout once where you got in a boxing stance, held one hand up for defense and punched continuously with the other for one minute. Trainer called you out whenever your other hand dipped below your face. Punches slowed considerably after about 20 seconds and he got called out at least 5-6 times for dropping his hands.

I do remember though when something would go down at say a party, it was like a superhero was involved against the other guy. You just never really know what type of skill the other person has had, but you will get destroyed if they have any sort of training and the other person is just "angry and tough" and assumes that makes them effective in a street fight.

So I'm an Akidoka and Nidan in Kenjutsu (Japanese Sword), but due to medical issues I can't train daily. It would take me MONTHS of training to recover lost muscle tone and re-sharpen my reflexes and skills that I worked so hard to develop.

There is this fallacy out there that if you are kind of big that you will prevail in a fight. At about 210 lbs. many years ago, I trained in my younger days in boxing and was fortunate enough to be able to spar with a number of professional fighters who had a wide variety of weight ranges.
Trust me, internet tough guys like this idiot, you have no clue who you might run up against, and obviously no clue that discretion is often the better part of valor. These boxers were uniformly nice, down to earth people, never looking for trouble, but not exactly the kind to suffer total fools gladly. I remember once a Green Beret with a few drinks in him picked a fight with one of them. Let's just say, I doubt he EVER picked a fight again.

Newbs can't make it more than about 45 seconds without gassing. I'm a middle aged dad and can easily beat the shit out of untrained guys in their 20's even if they significantly outweigh me.
Joe Rogan would kick the shit out of that fat tub of shit without breaking a sweat. Go look up video of him throwing kicks to a heavy bag. He'd break your ribs with a single clean shot to the body.
Men have this weird conceit that they'd be badassed fighters even when they have no experience at it. Probably the hardest thing about fighting is learning to take a punch and stay focused.

I think this is one thing that can be blamed on Trump. The fix was in with Hillary, but not enough. They were so confident they believed their own lies. They were simply unprepared to cover the % they thought would bring them home. On top of that, Trump performed beyond expectations. They had to pull out all stops. Wake the sleeper cells. They got sloppy in their panic. Masks dropped. Many of us woke up. They had a timeline with Obama, and saw the finish line. Suddenly, it was FUBAR. To top it all off, they almost lost again, and had to cheat in the open. The global timeline got thrown out the window. Populism and plebs need to go. This is it, the final stretch, and nothing is going to stop them. They're a cornered animal. They've declared war on citizens, the camps are being built. They'll have year zero NOW, or go down trying. All because of some Real Estate tycoon they thought was on their side.

I've seen people who "know how to fight" because they were dickheads who ended up in a lot of fights and I've seen trained boxers/MMA practitioners and there is such a wide gulf between the two it's unreal. Like your local Joe Single-Digit Handicap at the golf course and Tiger Woods shows up. Even if you're competent at something doesn't mean you can hang with people who really work at it.

Also, I imagine a lot of it comes down to self-selection. There's both the mental and physical capacity to do serious harm and to take serious harm. Most people are simply not physiologically prepared (or even designed by their DNA) to succeed in the domain. Like hockey players. Anyone, I suppose, can play hockey. But to succeed professionally is to possess DNA that permits survival in a very hostile world.
Same with MMA. "Anyone" can try it and improve with practice, but the professionals? They are built differently. A normal will actually risk death against a fighting machine.

Sometimes, as happened to me and some friends.a couple of times, just walking away doesn't help when opponents follow you out to the parking lot. Been coldcocked more than once trying to avoid a confrontation. Didn't work out for this guys though...just pissed me off.

Actually - repealing ObamaCare is simple because hardly anyone in the country is using it. It's networks suck to high heaven. It actually managed to do the opposite of what it intended - making the link between healthcare and employment even more pronounced. Trump did do some things to fix the negative impact Obamacare had on small group and individual markets - and small group has recovered somewhat. And more importantly Biden hasn't done anything to reverse them.

its reaction training. You do a thing a lot you don't have to think about it. A boxer or MMA guy they just react. Its faster than thought. Its like blinking when somethin is headed toward your eye. If you aren't trained like that, are just a casual bully, you are going to get beat. The MMA guys are even better when it goes to the ground. You don't even know what is happening and find yourself in BJJ joint lock and you are finished.
Coolest thing is some dude actually landed flying crane kick - from Karate Kid - in a match. It was awesome. Instant lights out.

The reason I got into martial arts is that I found out that wrestling, which is a strength based activity, quits working at about age 35, which is when my high school wrestling quit working in a real fight.
Joe Rogan is highly skilled in BJJ, one of my friends who runs a BJJ and Judo school, knows him pretty well, and he says Rogan is for real.
