When He Opened The Seventh ONT, There Was Silence In Heaven

Welcome to Friday night. Anyone start packing for the TxMoMe yet?

Fun fact: If they made That 70s Show today, it would be set in 2002

Fido Friday: Don't take the boy. I offer myself instead

Please, tell me this isn't a real thing.

The internet seems to believe it's real, because people have started to meme it.

In case you're wondering how me, a middle aged guy, finds out about all this crap going on with the youth set, it usually goes something like this:

Thoughtful wife

uhhhh.jpg

That's nice, but don't try his brownies

Go Go Gadget rockets!

I'm not sure if it's the rockets making this guy go, or the hoverboard.

I don't know if I'm “gifted” or not, but I do feel like this when I'm trying to hand write notes

Feel good story of the day

From “safe, legal and rare” to “Selfie time!” in just one generation

I've seen Captain Mexico cosplay before, but this is a new one

Avengers! Assemble!

Some folks may want to make fun of the costumes, but to me this looks like an impromptu thing. Like a group of guys decided to go to a school dance around Halloween and this is what they came up with. For that level of effort I think they did a bang up job.

Story time! What have you done while high?

68 I don't understand having that many guns - I mean, even if you include the wife and kids, that's only 8 guns that can be in use at any one time. Honestly, you'd put the little one on reloads, so six guns in use, plus 6 more in reload reserve being passed back and forth...just wasted inventory - the space used to house all those extras would be more efficiently used as ammo storage instead.

I have seen some made up sticker that say tyranny. I am a bit shocked by how few do this. It is legit tyranny. I recall when BLM was huge, no one dare mess with the sings or they would be called out. I see legit tyranny, and few say or do a thing.

Most are in red areas and don't have to deal with this. They in particular should be calling it out since they are safe.

79 Don't clean headstones with household cleaners! As the stone ages, it develops a patina that helps protect the stone. I have taken classes in headstone preservation and there are certain products that have shown to be effective and do not harm the stone. Mix one cup of ammonia to 5 cups water and put in a spray bottle. There are also other products that can be purchased that are made for this purpose. Use a natural bristle brush.

Keep in mind that in many states it is against the law to harm a headstone (well intentioned but incorrect cleaning is considered harm) and can only be cleaned with the permission of the cemetery or the family.

If the stone is granite? Little or no harm, especially if rinsed subsequent to the acid wash. Limestone or dolomite? It will begin to dissolve, and the engravings will become blurred.

TJ played an important part in the ways of men in the world. If I have to explain it, then I am already lost because you should have learned this in fourth grade. And no I am not kidding, they used to teach this hard core in fourth grade. If you weren't in VA,then yah, it was likely lacking big time.

Actually, no he isn't, anymore.

For a couple of centuries, Jefferson was an absolute icon for Liberals...which is as he should have been, for actual Liberals.

They're all gone now. Lately, the New Left have have become uncomfortable with Jefferson, mostly on account of slavery. In point of fact, Pete Butterjug has said that Jefferson's visage on Mt. Rushmore is, 'Problematic'.

Jefferson deserves all the plaudits he has traditionally received. It wasn't he, per se, that owned slaves. They were inherited by his wife. Manumission was not a legal option. In debt? Well, I guess so...he complained about the burden of the slaves, and his obligation to 'feed two hundred mouths'.

Them as complain about Jefferson are, at best, misled.

Well, geologists are taught to use a drop of acid on a rock to help identify it. Most igneous rocks have a distinct absence of calcium and/or magnesium carbonate minerals, and do not fizz when acid is dropped on them. Sedimentary rocks like limestone, sandstone, and shale are made up either mostly of carbonate minerals, or have carbonate cement, and fizz a little, or a lot, when acid is dropped on them.

Like all rules, there are exceptions.

We go across the street from the hotel to a bar we drank at a lot and had a Bloody Mary, our bartender who had got to know us by that point says "When do you leave?", buddy says "Thursday at noon". Bartender says "You boys better get a move on."

We somehow missed a whole day and both thought it was Wednesday. Barely made our flight.

221 More observations from inside enemy territory.

Went to the apothecary. Immediately was accosted about my masklessness. Told them, Milady had my mask, and walked on. Did take the mask, but decided to just walk out anyway, mask in hand, leaving Milady to get what she came for.

Went to an old favorite bakery. Wear a mask inside to order, served outside. Credit card or exact change only. Plus other rules and hassles. Milady bought some cookies, while I sat outside watching the sheep.

Next, went to the deli. Due to discouraging signage, I decided not to even go in, but Milady said nobody mentioned her masklessness. Funny.

Went to a Greek restaurant. Nobody cared we were maskless. Sure is funny to see folks walk in, put on a mask, ask for a table, and go sit down & take off the masks. A cup of avgolemono soup, a plate of sizzling saganaki, and a glass of Roditis. So, that was good.

273 Speaking of cursive, Pookette brought home her cursive workbook today. The book is mostly okay, but there's too much emphasis on types of curves. The ironic part is that I *know* the teacher is using new material... because she's the one who taught ME cursive! And despite my printed "chicken scratches," my cursive is pretty good. We'll see if Pookette's winds up better than mine.

We know not the hour or the day.

Since I've been redeemed I now have only one allegiance. He plucked me up out of the depths of damnation, I owe Him my allegiance.

Where Christ's work converges with the reinvigoration of America, you'll find no better ally.
Where the two diverge, I'll be nowhere to be found.

At this point my faith is solely in Christ and Christ alone. During prosperity of the country and my life, my faith was asleep and dormant. Through these times, I feel evil pressing in all about, and truly see the world's need for Him. So I lift my eyes to Heaven and say "You're will be done."

I wound up trying to teach myself cursive after she died, and eventually got dip pens and fountain pens and the like. The dip pens teach why we do cursive the way we do, because if we write like we are using a ballpoint or a crayon it tears the page up and bends the prongs of the pen

A bunch of cities were put to the torch by raging mobs. A shambling dotard puppet's treacherous boyars took control of our rudderless ship of state.

It's been a shitty run.

Except for me. My baby was born. My parents retired to their dream home. My one brother escaped Colorado, and the other had his own daughter. My sister and I have managed to muddle through pretty well, given our particular circumstances, and we'll carry on to our better futures soon enough.

358 Friend of mine got her car stolen on Wednesday. She needed a chauffeur to get her cat to the vet and some errands run. I took off work early and drive her all over the damn city. Got it done.

Took her to happy hour. She needed a drink. Had to show proof of vaccination to get into the pub. Got into it with some douche when he challenged me about JAN 6.

I didn't back down. He was 6 ft plus. I'm 5'4 on a tall day. He couldn't even name the woman who was murdered. Fuck him.

I have not problem processing 2019.

It's 2020 and since that I'm having difficulty with. I really believed we were saved and could reverse a lot of the damage done by Obama and others. That we could lose that chance was possible and I could deal with that but to have it stolen and the institutions meant to be our emergency crew to recover from even that to have failed us on top of it all.

Now I'm just numb and hunkered down and am praying just to go out with honor, bravery and making those bastards regret that they ever had reason to meet me. Molon Labe

I use he as in the general english usage that worked quite well for the last 500 years. I have no clue (well an itty bitty one) what gender pixy might adhere to.

Well there was bundling back awhile ago. No penetration tho.

one of each gender would recline on a bed but with a board between them so as to prevent actual contact. I guess it was to find out if they could sleep sleep with each other in the same bed.

And when I heard this, I realized that kinda made sense cause there's been some women I just could not sleep in the same bed with and vice versa. Especially a small bed. Got to be a King size for me.

400 The Norwegian White Tip .308 is Low Recoil Palma Match ammo.

And it is more valuable to the collector's market than to the shooter's market. In other words, you can sell/trade it to the collectors and acquire more shootable ammo in trade, than the number and count of Palma rounds you might have on hand.

I don't know where one finds the best portal to the ammo COLLECTOR'S market, but post this on the Sunday Gun Thread, and you're/I'm/we're sure to learn!

there are some interesting documentaries on how they teach French in the Legion. They start off pretty friendly, like an American French language class. Then after a while you speak French. The in between time is when you realize you have choice at all.

464 Hatari, if you're determined to check out the 'high' of pot, do try it another time or two.

On the other hand, if it's no big deal-- why waste the money? Your call, of course.

I used to smoke it, back in the days before it was routinely "enhanced" with God-knows-what (which made it less than pleasurable anymore) Might try it again from a State-run store. Would grow my own if I could get seeds, LOL.

As I said, 1 beer and I'm tipsy. It's really a matter of tolerance, which is gradual increase in usage over time. A few months ago, I took 2 months off. 25 mg was a lot more intense than it otherwise would've been. Great time playing keyboards and working on some music/writing projects I have.
