It's time for Purity Tests. I would usually agree that Purity Tests are bad, but when the proof piles up that almost every member of the "conservative" political class is in fact a liberal Democrat, it's time to start making them cast hard votes to prove they're not on the left. Or, even if still secretly of the left, willing to pretend hard enough to cast conservative votes.

Or, if they're part of the "conservative" media, it's time to force them to write columns defending conservative positions that their leftwing pals and Potential Future Employers hate -- and that they probably hate, too.

If they refuse, then cast them out.

A group must exercise some control over who is allowed to be part of that group -- especially the group's political leadership.

What makes this more remarkable is that the liberal "Republican campaign strategist" Dowd wrote just three years ago that it's time for White Male Christians to stop running for office -- to give women and racial and religious minorities their shot at political power.

But now? Nah.

We know the recent history of Trump (no conservative himself) and the absolute rejection of anything he tried or his base supported. Now that base, which used to call themselves conservative, needs purging too, to purify the GOPe as a rump party that offers token resistance to leftist goals as long as there is room at the pig trough for all pigs.

They did fold it into three. I think to make it fit the slot in the ballot bin....but still now it appears to be mailed.

I gave them the unopened vote by mail envelope and it got stamped with red letters and I was told it would be shredded.

There was also a box by the curb a ballet envelope could be dropped in.

That's a seriously technical art form. That's probably employing what's called focus stacking. You can't usually get that sort of detail, front to back in one picture, rather a series of pictures with varying focal planes which are then digitally layered using specific filters in something like P-shop. Often this employs a macro focus rail, which moves the camera itself rather than attempting to internally adjust the focal plane.

Some people do it with a dead bug, but an awful lot manage to do it with a living subject. I'm lucky if the damned bugs hold still long enough for one snap. Some people make a pretty decent living doing this. I'm fine with fluffy bumble bees and honey bees, but that's pretty much where I draw the line.
