The Quotes of The Day

Quote I

"It's just another layer of security and protection," OEMC's Executive Director Rich Guidice

Quote II

“You’ll never find fairness on the left, look all you want, you’ll go cross-eyed,”Jesse Watters

Quote III

“These are people who spent $200,000 and they want perfection,” Doug Gollan, founder of Private Jet Card Comparisons

Quote IV

'Our members are tired. Our members are feeling the pain of these COVID deaths.'' Mike Podue, president of ILWU Local 63

Oh no, Jonah Goldberg hardest hit. PAIN IN THE A*** Covid could cause ‘restless anal syndrome’, docs claim

COVID illness may cause what doctors describe as “restless anal syndrome”.

It’s as bizarre as it sounds, causing a person to feel they constantly need to move in order to relieve the “restlessness” in their anus.

We don't want them farting. Now we don't want them burping. Just let the cows be.

The controversial quest to make cow burps less noxious
It’s not so simple as just feeding them gas-busting seaweed.

It's an oppressively hot morning in the barnyard, even in the shade of the long open-air structure where the cows come to feed. On a typical farm, they would gather around a trough, but here at UC Davis they chow from special blue bins, which detect when and how much each one eats. It’s like Weight Watchers, only researchers here aren’t so much interested in these cows’ figures, but how much they burp.

Well the horse is out of the barn. Is this research in time or too late?

Senior author Dr. Clara Humpston said: "Cannabis is often considered to be one of the 'safer' drugs and has also shown promise in medical therapies, leading to calls for it be legalized globally. Although we are unable to establish a direct causal relationship, our findings suggest we should continue to exercise caution since the notion of cannabis being a safe drug may well be mistaken."

Dr. Joht Singh Chandan said: "The research reaffirms the need to ensure a public health approach to recreational drug use continues to be adopted across the UK. We must continue to progress measures to improve the prevention and detection of drug use as well as implement the appropriate supportive measures in an equitable manner to prevent the secondary negative health consequences."

Fed Vice Chair Clarida Traded Millions One Day Before Powell Emergency Pandemic Statement

Earlier this week, with Fed hawks suddenly dropping like flies following the resignations of Boston and Dallas Fed presidents, Rosengren and Kaplan, amid a public outcry over their recently-revealed daytrading activities which benefited them as a direct result of monetary policy decisions they were explicitly and directly involved in, we joked that if the Fed wants to get rid of all the hawks, they just need to leak the trading records of Kansas City Fed president Esther George, widely viewed as the most vocal hawk among all FOMC members.

We all know Joe Biden's residency in the White House isn't going well. That was President Trump's plan all along.

ALM BEACH, FL—Trump has revealed to reporters that Biden's so-called "victory" in the 2020 election was actually a 4D chess plot by himself to make his own presidency look good. According to Trump, every time there's a major crisis now, people will look back fondly on the years 2016-2020, remembering the last great golden age of America when everything was great and we had a "really handsome, extremely smart president."

We can all gather together at Christmas if you are exposed to the common cold, the flu and even HIV/Aids. But not if you want to avoid the Chinese Kung Flu.

Brennan asked, “But we can gather for Christmas, or it is just too soon to tell?”

Fauci said, “You know, Margaret, it is just too soon to tell. We have to concentrate on continuing to get those numbers down and not try to jump ahead by weeks or months and say what we’re going to do at a particular time. Let’s focus like a laser on continuing to get those cases down. And we can do it by people getting vaccinated. Also, in the situation where boosters are appropriate to get people boosted because we know they can help greatly in diminishing infection and diminishing advanced disease.”

Last week one night we looked at some mental illness on full display. The Hodge Twins address this issue.

Sure would be funny if this attention whore ended up in jail on an obstruction charge.

DOG the Bounty Hunter says tips are still pouring in as he hunts down Gabby Petito's wanted fiance Brian Laundrie - however, he isn't sharing those leads with law enforcement, the TV star has revealed.

Dog, real name Duane Chapman, joined the hunt for 23-year-old Laundrie late last month at the behest of his fans shortly after Gabby's remains were found at a Wyoming campsite on September 19.

For $8K one would think they hire a tutor and pass the old fashioned way.

Over two dozen people taking a national exam that could lead to a career in teaching were caught cheating Bluetooth-enabled flip flops to get an edge over the stiff competition.

Cheating has always been a big problem in India, especially during potentially life-changing exams. I remember watching surreal scenes of people climbing the walls of a school building in Bihar to hand cheat sheets to the students taking their year-end exams inside a few years ago, or army applicants forced to take exams in their underwear to prevent cheating. This year, authorities in Rajasthan went as far as cutting the internet connection in the state during the exam to prevent cheating, but they still couldn’t prevent savvy cheaters from trying to get a leg up through nefarious ways. The latest method of cheating reportedly involves Bluetooth-connected flip-flops sold by criminal gangs for up to 600,000 rupees ($8,000) per pair.

OCTOBER 1--The McDonald's customer who called in a bomb threat to an Iowa restaurant because he did not receive dipping sauces with his 30-piece Chicken McNuggets order has pleaded guilty to a harassment charge, according to court records.

Robert Golwitzer, 42, last week copped to a misdemeanor count in connection with a bizarre incident in late-June involving a McDonald’s near his home in Ankeny, a Des Moines suburb.

Golwitzer, seen at right, was sentenced to 12 months probation and fined $430 during a September 23 court hearing.

According to an Ankeny Police Department report, a McDonald’s assistant manager told cops that a man who called the restaurant “was irate due to the fact he had requested 30 chicken nuggets and received no dipping sauces for them.”

When the worker replied that the patron could return to the restaurant to retrieve the sauce

Pet Thread, Misanthropic Tonight's Feel Good Story of The Day.

A home invader was mauled to death by two dogs inside a Georgia home and later discovered by the owner, according to reports.

The Newnan Times-Herald reported on Thursday that Coweta County investigators were alerted after the body of a man was found at a home in Walt Sanders Road at 10:30 a.m. local time last Friday.

The outlet added it was the homeowner who discovered the man's body on his front porch when he returned home.

153 Not as big a port as LA/Long Beach, but Seattle and Tacoma ports are essentially dead. Been that way for months now. There are many cargo ships anchored near Everett 25 miles to the north of Seattle, full of containers. The locals are bitching because they run their dirty diesel generators all night, making noise and polluting the air. But since they are in a navigable water (Puget Sound), local or state pollution or noise laws don't apply.

The docks where containers are stacked. are empty. Absolutely empty. A nephew and his friend became Longshoremen about a year ago. They have very junior status, but one of them has worked one 4 hour shift in the last 3 months.

It isn't the Longshoremen, they report for work every morning and are told to go home. It's the Port and the trains that are calling the shots.

And who owns the trains? Why, Warren Buffet. Holding out for raping his customers. Which is nothing new.

158 Buckingham is a lot different style, but he was no slouch on guitar either. It's an interesting story. He and Stevie Nicks had a band, and were completely broke in LA. Mick Fleetwood was at a recording studio and heard one of Buckingham's guitar solos playing in the background, and wanted to know who that was. It was a tune called "Frozen Love", you can hear it on YouTube. Fleetwood offered him a job without even a demo or rehearsal, but Buckingham insisted it was a package deal - had to include Nicks. This was risky, because they already had singers. The new incarnation of Fleetwood Mac is not liked by all, but I'd argue it was largely because of his guitar and arranging skills. They sold a LOT of records right after that. Rumours might well be the best selling album of all time. "

"Shutupandplay" on YT has a lesson on his "Trouble" that is tricky fingerstyle, but a beautiful tune on acoustic. The MTV version is awful, actually.

168 That movie The Lobster is kinda effed up. Whoever thought it up has some "issues" of some sort.

That said, what's sadder is that premise is less scary/bothersome than the one we find ourselves in.

Our government (with of course the threat of being arrested by people with guns *yes that's coming*) is making people get a chemical injected into them for a disease that is almost 99% non fatal and mostly survivable to supposedly protect them but has a greater chance than 99% of causing them to die or have a debilitating disease for the rest of their life and that does not confer immunity on them to protect them from the people who already got the disease and survived or haven't and are walking around.

If anyone knows of a previous movie that comes even close to that please let us know.

The Fed is a complex institution. It's the central bank of the United States, what is tasked with the money power, the creation and destruction of the dollar (but not coin, which power the Treasury still has directly, but it's a very small component of the total money supply).

It was created in a convoluted way on purpose, to be sort of quasi-private entity legally. Obfuscation.

The structure is basically, the country is divided into 12 regions, with a Federal Reserve Bank in each one. The one in NY, the NY Fed, is basically the main one, since that's were the big money is. That's where the open market operations are conduction. The other 11 banks are basically vassals of the NY Fed.

The Board of Governors, including the Chairman are all appointed by POTUS and confirmed by the Senate.

205 Not to break my steak of asinine insouciance, but a thought has been occurring to me lately.

Conservatism, in the Kirkean/Buckleyite formulation, is essentially Liberalism tempered by the wisdom of civic institutions. Right?

Well, what happens when civic institutions are subsumed into The State? When the functions of church and charity are arrogated to the people who have a monopoly on force? The people who champion Conservatism will default to trusting "Institutions", never appreciating that said Institutions are undermining the very civic structures that Conservatism once claimed to uphold. "Ham 'N Eggers", Et Cetera.

There is probably a lot there to mine, when I'm thinking more rigorously, but there is definitely a germ of a thought there as to why Conservatism has so thoroughly shat the bed in the guest room the past few decades.

Then there is the Federal Open Market Committee, which is the body that actually sets the monetary policy, and directs the NY Fed's open market desk to do the actual money creation and destruction.

The FOMC consists of 12 members, the members of the board of governors, the president of the NY Fed (always), and 4 of the presidents of the other 11 Reserve Banks on a rotating basis.

Now, the Supreme Court has kinda sorta ruled that the Board of Governors is mostly a public, federal govt. institution. Kinda sorta.

Heh, basically the federal courts have said the Board of Governors is a federal agency.

However, the Reserve Banks themselves are basically private when it's in their interests to be considered private, and public agencies when it's in their interests to be considered public.

232 A better question might be, what was wrong with the United States Treasury?

I mean, why was the "Federal Reserve" necessary to begin with? What was the purported necessity, etc. 1913 gave us direct election of Senators, too, widely considered a really fucking stupid idea, by anyone paying attention. Oh, and the Income Tax, too. Immediately followed by a Stupid Fucking War on the Other Side of The World. Hm.

243 So, when I took my husband to the emergency room this past week, I did not even set foot in the building. I dropped him off at the sidewalk and waited in the parking garage.

Later that same morning, I got an unsolicited text from the Colo Health Dept saying "Would you happen to have a positive Covid test you'd like to tell us about?" Supposedly I can share anonymously using the personalized link provided. Uh, if they are providing a link for my use, it's hardly anonymous.

Here's my quandary: I caught this stupid illness because Colorado just HAD to have a big ole surge in shots for the college students. Every single surge in jabs is followed a month later by a surge in cases. On the one hand, I don't want the state to know they managed to make me sick. On the other hand, if I report my case, it helps illustrate once again that more jabs means more cases.

I want to damage the credibility of the idiots who keep pushing the jabs.

A doctor has found an increase in cancers since the COVID-19 inoculation rollout.
On March 18, Dr. Ryan Cole, a board-certified pathologist and owner and operator of a diagnostics lab, reported that he is seeing a massive "uptick" in various autoimmune diseases and cancers in patients who have been vaccinated.
This doctor trained at the Mayo Clinic and runs the largest independent testing laboratory in Idaho.
Explaining his findings at the March 18 event, Cole told Idahoans that the vaccines seem to be causing serious autoimmune issues, in a way he described as a reverse HIV response.
Cole explained that two types of cells are required for adequate immune system function: Helper T-cells, also called "CD4 cells", and killer T-cells, often known as "CD8 cells."
According to Cole, in patients with HIV, there is a massive suppression of helper T-cells which cause immune system functions to plummet, and leave the patient susceptible to a variety of illnesses.

260 >> I mean, why was the "Federal Reserve" necessary to begin with?

Thereby ol' buddy, hangs a very long tale. Much history and banking history there, and all sorts of dirty deeds. Basically, Big Banking, which at the time was basically JP Morgan, who controlled it all, decided it was in their interests to form a central bank, and the US govt agreed.

The Federal Reserve is the result of the merger of JP Morgan's empire and the US govt. This entity was delegated the money power of the United States.

It's bad to give politicians control of the printing presses. Imagine AOC or anyone being able to print money. But it's bad for a cabal of oligarchs to have that power as well.

285 I've still missed the national media reminding us to take Vitamin D3, C, and zinc to strengthen our immune systems.

I can't miss how badly they have ignored Ivermectin as an effective therapeutic to treat Covid patients. In fact, most hospitals have banned it's use for Covid, even though the massive evidence in India has proven it to be incredibly effective solution. Many large pharmacies refuse to fill an Ivermectin prescription for Covid. Not as a one off, but as an official policy. In America, the solution is to lay you down in a hospital bed and let you die.

But I really wonder why the medical industry is pushing the seasonal flu shot again, when the CDC reported in 2020 that virtually nobody died of it. Instead of the normal 20,000 to 80,000 deaths, the CDC reported none, for the first time ever.

Yeah, I'm getting pretty damned sick of their lies, too.

Back in the day, before the creation of the Fed, the US Treasury almost went broke. JP Morgan bailed them out. There was a run on gold, and the Treasury was about to run out.

Morgan went down to Washington, went in the Oval Office and basically dictated terms to POTUS and the Sec. of the Treasury.

Morgan's own personal wealth was not all that much (just a few billion, maybe tens of billions in current dollars). When he died, John D. Rockefeller quipped something to the effect of "hell, he had us all by the balls, but he was poor!".

But he controlled what would amount to trillions and trillions in today's dollars. JP Morgan could've picked up the phone and crashed the US economy if he wanted to.

But he didn't. It was not in his interests for the US economy and govt to crash.

So later on, JP and the boys realized they needed to merge with the US govt. They wrote the Federal Reserve Act on Jekyll Island, hence the book.

But, the public would be against anything the banskters were for, so they had to pretend they hated the Federal Reserve Act, and make it convincing enough that the public would think it was punishing the banksters.

Clever deception which worked.

Yeah Emmie - it was a real experience, I never did get a good handle on how I managed exposure as I was pretty isolated. I think it may have been some mail parcels, I was ordering a lot of different stuff, some originating overseas through no real idea where it got me. I hadn't had "the flu" in years, and flu symptoms are characteristic. High fever, severe body aches and fatigue. It was a dry cough. I dosed with supplemental O2 and some antibiotics for any lurking bacterial infection. Not the worst flu maybe, but it was no slouch in my case.

362 In the burning times, the South will live off of kudzu.

You can eat the vine tips and young leaves, and roots. The peeled roots can be ground or pounded into gluten-free flour. The starch in kudzu roots can be fermented to make alcohol. Roots are best dug up in the early fall, but can be harvested all winter if you need the calories.

And then, we will regain the 7 million acres that kudzu now occupies.

398 The docks where containers are stacked.

402 Apologies but I've been kind of obsessed lately with beefing up my literary background. For the first time in my life, I'm actually interested in reading some Shakespeare plays.

Would anyone have any ideas about which of his plays I should start with, and then how to proceed from there? I went ahead and got inexpensive copies of Hamlet, Romeo & Juliet, King Lear, and Macbeth.

404 Was that in a University town? I'm pretty sure given the frequency, locations, and perpetrators it's kind of an "Extra Credit" kind of thing in the bolshevik departments.

One of the earlier exemplars I recall at least locally was down in Iowa City in the 1980s aka "People's Republic of Johnson County", a more un-likely hot spot for KKK activity could not be imagined. I mean sure, leftists are actually racist AF (like everybody else, black or white or yellow or red etc) but overt acts just Do Not Happen.

So this black guy claims graffitied Swastickers and KKK was spray painted on his Mercedes Benz. All the usual gnashing of teeth by the usual suspects, op-ed in the newspapers, candlelight vigils, the whole nine yards.

Then a couple weeks later it was revealed the black guy had been shopping around extensively for a new paint job on his mercedes benz, and had been trying to get it claimed on his auto insurance, that kind of thing. The Poleece became suspicious and he recanted under questioning.

"Well it could have happened, and that's just as bad!!" was the official Mea Culpa out of the whole ordeal. Just good old fashioned agitprop, training, and gen. fvckery.

489 455 @441 in CA it's the law you have to disclose my deaths in the house in the past 5 years.

How many .... deaths at your place ... in the past 5 years? More than Ed Buck? Maybe .... I'll just stay in a hotel.

490 I'm guessing a lot of these backups at ports and railyards are union tactics. In many of these ports the long shoremen already have to be incentivized, on top of thier enormous salary, to do thier job properly and on time. The pandemic has allowed the unions to add in more no show jobs, on top of being able to slowdown loading/unloading to try and get more payoffs to do thier job.

491 My mom is into quilting, they come out really nice and it looks like a lot of work.

492 Skip, it is a lot of work, start to finish.

It is just a hobby now, so it's fun and mostly relaxing. When I used to make them to sell, it was more stressful.

That may be part of it, but I'm thinking there might be other factors to consider. For years, we knew that there were a lot of Baby Boomers holding onto skilled jobs, and working past normal retirement years.

With all of the hassles introduced by COVID restrictions, like masking in the workplace and whatnot, vaccine requirements, etc... how many of those people went "Eh, fuckit, I'm done with this and moving somewhere warmer"?

Now for truckers, add in the impact of a sudden, artificial drop in shipping caused by the closure of so many businesses, and the impact it might have on owner-operators who suddenly had truck payments to make and no freight to haul.

Like everything else, the problem is probably multi-faceted. One of my boys works for a very big, national shipper. He told me over the last year, they have had driver turnover of over 100%. They pay good money but just can't keep drivers. Long haul life sucks in any case but to get folks to do it right now seems impossible. I'm sure there's more to it than that though.

There's problems in short-haul also. My brother works for one of the national carriers, and used to be a sort of emergency-stopgap driver they'd send in whenever somebody quit on a critical route. The turnover rate kept him flying out almost every week, and he got so sick of it that he went back to doing local runs.

501 Just a quick thought. I would put more faith in Dog the Bounty Hunter than the FBI right now. All of the major leads have been found by people giving them to the FBI. No major break though has happened due the the Brain trust at the FBI.
