Good morning, kids. The weekend is here and a quick survey of the links fills me with both a sense of dread and believe it or not, one of hope. For sure we are heading at "warp speed" (pun intended) for catastrophe. At this point, with the Afghanistan bug-out disaster disappearing from the headlines (undeservedly so since it will go down as not only the greatest strategic blunder in our now terminated history but perhaps a pivotal moment in world history), we have the disaster of a deliberately open border and the ramping up of totalitarian population control under the pretext of containing a virus that has a lethality of around 0.06% for anyone who is infected and which mutated out of existence and into milder and milder variants months ago.

In some way, shape or form, all of the above are interconnected. For sure, the consequences in both the short term and in the long term are going to be existential. And as I have stated many times, the more things collapse and the more the abject criminality is exposed, the more punishment is heaped on ordinary American-Americans for the crime of merely noticing it, let alone objecting to it. Look at the words of bald-headed commie stooge Alex Mayorkas:

So, we have rescinded so many Trump immigration policies, it would take so much time to list them," Mayorkas responded. "We rescinded the remain in Mexico policy. We rescinded Of course, the public charge rule that deprived, vulnerable migrants from accessing certain critical life benefits. We have restored the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, the DACA program."
Mayorkas later added that the Biden [junta's] response to the border was a "very profound" departure from how former President Donald Trump secured the border.

There you have it folks. Aside from the glittering stupidity of simultaneously claiming that there is no crisis, then claiming that there is a crisis and it's Trump's fault and now crowing about how you reversed all of Trump's policies which is an admission that what we're witnessing is a result of it, all of this is the weltanschauung of this illegal occupation junta. If Trump did it, undo it, and vice-versa. Of course, it's not just about Trump because what is Trump? Trump is the 80 million-plus Americans who voted for him and a hell of a lot more than that who do not want to see us and the world plunged into a dystopian dark age of G-dless Sino/Islamic totalitarian tyranny. But that is exactly what those who stole the 2020 election want. Cocksure that the 2016 election would cap off the 100-year generational struggle to achieve that goal, the results on that glorious night was Tina Turner slapping Ike in the face. Everything after that was Carlo Rizzi beating on pregnant Connie until Sonny pulled up at the toll booth on the Causeway.

And here we are. It's kind of a miracle that after Teddy Kennedy's (who until perhaps Obama and Biden caused more damage to the republic than any other American ([native or otherwise]) Hart-Celler Act in '65 and then the big Simpson-Mazzoli con job of '86 that Ronald Reagan was duped into signing, hand in hand with the 50-plus years of brainwashing 2-3 generations of our children that a considerable (if not what used to be an overwhelming) majority of people are still not down with the program.

That is why our borders are being erased. If you cannot convince (i.e. con) the people to vote for their own enslavement (that is if you can't steal every election everywhere), then just replace the people.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, lampooned as the Baghdad Bob of the administration, routinely insists that the border is closed, all evidence to the contrary. When legitimate questions or criticisms are offered of what is clearly a disastrous policy, the preferred response from the Left is to accuse that person of being nativist, xenophobic, or racist.
Beyond that, this White House is not above giving oxygen to absurd, social-media-fueled theories. Psaki recently criticized images of what some interpreted as federal agents in Texas on horseback using whips to corral Haitian migrants. Despite the outrage from blue-check warriors on Twitter including U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), the charge was proven to be demonstrably false when what appeared to be a whip in a photo was actually the reins to control the horse.
For all the destruction this administration has caused on the border, there is evidence it also may be failing at its ultimate goal of owning the Hispanic voting bloc and cementing power for generations. A recent poll found that Biden's support among Hispanic voters is cratering in Texas. It turns out they don't want to live in an overcrowded country rife with poverty and lawlessness, either.

Psaki-Psircling back to Hart-Celler, even before the Republican Civil Rights Act of 1964, black Americans were leaving the ranks of the poor and disenfranchised and gaining more and more access to the middle class and mainstream American society. That is like shoving Dracula into a hall of mirrors and dousing him with holy water from a firehose to the Democrat Party. The answer? Replace blacks with illiterate peasants from south of the border to fill the voter rolls (while also destroying the black family and keeping them hooked on Uncle Sugar's welfare rolls like dime bags from Sportin' Life). Even when that wasn't working, exemplified by a growing segment of the Latin American community that wants no part of Democrat induced squalor and political enslavement, you had Simpson-Mazzoli. Comes Trump and the economic miracle that resulted in minorities being lifted out of poverty, off the food stamp and welfare rolls and away from Democrat politicians faster than you can say "Truminlamprzur Covfefe" and down goes the border wall.

That was not going to be allowed to happen:

. . . the far-left Democrat Party dislikes this country and its recalcitrant, non-compliant citizens so much that it wants to replace them with people from failed states.
The idea, of course, is that bringing in impoverished people from other countries will create a massive underclass, one with little education, an inability to speak the majority tongue, and a lack of understanding of America's unique constitutional tradition.
In short, they will become Democrats. That, Democrats hope, will cement their position as the dominant party in America. With never-ending welfare for all, it will be 'Make America Dependent Again,' MADA. That, at least, is what that party's elected and unelected officials appear to want.

So now, we have the same shit attempted to be played out in Israel with the so-called "right of return" of a non-existent people to a land that they have no right to which they claim was stolen from them. While Israel has so far successfully prevented what would be its destruction via population replacement, we have not. We're being flooded. Not just with Latin Americans and Haitians who do not share our culture, language or perhaps even our ideals and values, but for sure people who want to mostly peacefully behead us and impose an 8th century totalitarian death cult on us. Same as socialism only with fancy calligraphy and geometric patterns.

But, as I said, there is reason for hope. Look what is going in Melbourne, Australia. BLM aside, look what is happening with black Americans getting in the forefront of the anti-vaccine mandates here. Look at the woman standing up at the school board and reading what amounts to homosexual pornography from her kid's textbook and making them squirm. And look at this person in the New York subway ripping up the perverted advertisements and in some cases being cheered on by fellow straphangers.

It's all anecdotal for sure. But all it takes is one, then another and another and another. The words of one of the greatest mass-murderers in history, Chairman Mao, certainly are applicable here:

"A single spark can start a prairie fire."

Let's burn this mother down. Metaphorically speaking, of course.

To a point, yes. This is why, for example, I think that State ended their program to maintain some emergency evacuation capability. That was a Trump program started in response to Benghazi, and both of those mark it for destruction.

In general, though, I think this isn't really the rule. I think the rule is simpler and worse: "If it's good for America, don't do it." Trump was a big America booster and tried to do the right thing. Undoing anything good for America will necessarily involve undoing everything Trump did, but I suspect that's a secondary motivation. "Trump did it" probably moves it up the priority chain, but isn't the real reason it's on the list in the first place.

This is out of an article that is, based on the excerpt, regime-skeptical. That said, this kind of thing right here is a good example of the subtleties involved in our defeat. They have ceded the premise, and it's baffling and absurd.

The reins did not "appear to be a whip." They were reins, and obviously so even at first glance and without inspection. Race-baiting, open-borders, reactionary professional progressives misinterpreted the reins as a whip, or knew they were reins and lied about it. One of those two, nothing more. They did not "appear to be a whip" - a bunch of stupid, ignorant racialist reactionaries who see white supremacy under every rock decided they saw something that wasn't actually there. Here's a better way to formulate that sentence without ceding the premise and the narrative:
the charge was proven to be demonstrably false when what progressive leaders including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez incorrectly assumed was a whip in a photo was actually the reins to control the horse.

Payroll taxes. Okay. It doesn't say if it was for him or his employees, but the Bidens aren't a major enterprise. This is probably for him and his immediately family. So just how much is the half million dollars?

Well, Social Security is 12.4% up to $127.2k in income. Medicare is different, it's 2.9% and no cap. So on that first $127,200 of income, Biden owes $19,462 of that half million. The remainder of $480,538 is all Medicare.

$480,538 is 2.6% of $18,482,230.

So to get that tax burden of $500k in payroll taxes, it implies an income of $18,609,430 and that's only if we assume no abatement strategies, shelters or legal avoidance. I don't know how much time was involved - the article only says 2017 - but it also doesn't matter. $18.6 million ain't bad for a public servant with no accomplishments...

There is an unlimited backlog of potential investigation targets and only so much time and so many resources to commit to them. Like any organization, the Attorneys General offices, the IRS, the FBI and other agencies must make choices based on cost/benefit analyses and likelihood of success. The threats posed by the criminal Trump family and the orchestrated sedition and insurrection planned and fomented by various fake nonprofits that serve the conservative moment are much greater than alleged tax underpayment by Biden.

They are going after the important things. The less important things will have to wait. If you want more enforcement against a wider array of subjects, you need to be prepared to fund and expand those agencies to deal with the workload. As of now, they simply don't have the bandwidth. Being forced to choose what to work on out of an essentially unbounded sea of options will always result in some things not being pursued because they simply aren't that important in the context of justice.

That the naked can now clothe themselves is a *good* thing. Hell, the first world has represented a *declining* share of the global apparel market - and about fifteen years ago apparel started declining against other sectors for the first time, namely against electronics.

Their appeal to quality makes sense, but the argument is so stupid that it's astonishing that anyone can fall for it. It doesn't even take well-honed critical thinking skills.

I saw this last weekend. I like seltzer water and buy it there and get the Costco house brand. It's okay (not great, but good enough) and much cheaper than alternatives. They were out. Bottled water was poorly stocked. I didn't notice paper products because I have plenty. The drugstore section had a lot of gaps, too, as did dairy (no half-and-half, for example).

Just-in-time is still showing its stress, as is production and transport. We now reap what we have sown in our quest for efficiency and the cost of robustness.

I have noticed the last week or so that there is a deliberate movement on social media to discredit the VAERS database. On every post I see of someone talking about the ridiculous amount of reports of severe adverse effects on the database, there are people replying that the VAERS database is meaningless, because anyone can post anything and nothing is verified.

my better half works for an import / export house and there is a hell of a line of ships, especially out there. as to the rumor of scuttling ships, i doubt that pretty seriously.

regarding not getting containers off the boats, there's no where to put them. apparently there's essentially a trucker shortage in the us. they can't get drivers so things are stacking up on the piers, and there's no room for new containers. this is also affecting shipments around the world, as it's very difficult to get containers ON TO boats for shipment. so it's driving prices up on shipping as items are becoming rush and shipped via air if possible.

Yup. Cuomo is a scumbag, but if it were as a big deal as these women are implying, they'd file charges. She probably didn't like it found it aggressive and humiliating. She also made a choice to not pursue it. There may have been very bad, very corrupt, very dangerous things that would happen if she did pursue it. But she made the choice not to.

I'm not sure what's driving the shortage, but i'd suspect its a combination of all 3 plus covid fear. i know i've listened to so many convos of her trying to find trucks to move containers. sometime shit sits in the warehouse because the trucks can't get to it. it's kind of a cascading problem, as someone said up thread, bigger ships having more containers needing more warehouse space, plus fewer truckers to move containers sort of compounds the problem.

I again come back to systems issues. It is trivial to do duplicate detection and rudimentary validation. "Has this serial number been seen before? If so, send the ballot to a provisional stack for adjudication between duplicates." "Is the serial number missing? If so, reject the ballot."

That shit's easy. Other validations like "Is this name and address already present" are harder, but doable. But not even the easy stuff was done. These systems are *designed* to be easy to abuse.

Now its just one big truck thruway. Trucks everywhere. Pass by the rest stops they are full of trucks, they overflow down the entrance and exit ramps. The truck stops similarly full.

Every one of those trucks has a sign on the back that says "We are hiring." I see billboards by the highway saying that truck companies are hiring, both drivers and owner/operators.

So where are all those trucks going?

For good reason. Costco is in the magic zone for retail. Their average customer is a family with six-figure earnings. Their customer base is the retail holy grail. They're fine.

But beware construction as a measure. In my old town, Circuit City built a new store in a new mall and it operated for less than six months before they declared bankruptcy and liquidated. Big organizations move slowly and things that long since stopped making sense will not only be finished, but sometimes be *started* when it is already irrelevant and doomed.

There is a huge Wal Mart warehouse/regional shipping just north of Denton, Texas that wasn't there 10 years ago. Easily 100 bays. Always full. Multiply that by 50 countrywide for just one company. Now do other companies.

It got really bad really quickly. I am a Dread Millennial and I graduated in 2008. My first three and a half years of college were pretty normal. The place was full of insane communists, but there's nothing new in that. It was, however, fairly tolerant. I could engage in arguments with students and professors. My contrary positions did not harm my grades. I was in the minority and always on the defensive, but it was tolerant and at least somewhat open.

Then early 2008 happened. Everything got hard-edged and aggressive virtually overnight. The better Obama did in the polls and the more primaries he won, the more aggressive the communists got and the more run-of-the-mill libs turned hard left. It wasn't just the students, it was also the professors and administrators. I didn't make the correlation at the time, but in retrospect it was obvious.

Something about the JEF made them all know that they were ascendant and it was their time to rule. It turned *fast.*

Naproxen works quite well when I have a flair up. You can check the max daily dose on the net. Take it with foods or milk because that much will mess up your tummy.

The best thing to do is when you feel that first "twinge", take a couple of naproxen and try not to use the joint.

I've had gout-like flair ups for decades and took prescription anti-inflammatories. When Naproxen became OTC it was very good news because I could treat it early before it got out of control.

Changing diet never helped me as I avoided most of the high purine foods already.
