9 Sunday it is!

It occurs to me I will have to order more razor blades soon. I shave every 48 hours generally, and get 2-3 shaves per blade, but I have 7 razors. Each one gets its blade changed usually on the first of the month. Thus I use 7 blades a month.

What can I say, it's a hobby.

115 Mornin', all. Busy with things yesterday intentionally. I have seen folks make the argument that Bush was doing what he was allowed to do to call out BLAMtifa. I am beyond done listening to politicians talk; so I can't really judge. I know I have to stop just shy of hate for W. Gore would have been so much worse. Maybe he would have brought back sanity in rebellion, but I doubt it. I have voted for the lesser of two evils at some political level my entire life. Not good, but it's the choice I have been given since I can't run myself and don't have the funding to buy myself a politician.

Here's to a better Sunday!

141 Morning peeps. Here's a tidbit on dementia; my dad had it pretty bad before he passed. The thing I remember about him was how he'd repeat things over and over. The same story, same comment, etc. He simply didn't remember saying the same thing 5 minutes ago. When I'd remind him he'd get a bit torqued off. There were some flashes of anger, mostly (in my opinion) because he'd realize he couldn't remember these things and it made him mad. I think there was a bit of understanding in his mind what was happening to him and he couldn't control it. *biden has it bad. He'll be incapacitated by dementia by the end of the year regardless of the meds they pump into him.

148 Today's lectionary reading-the three year cycle of Scripture from the Old and New Testament is about the danger of an unruly tongue. Even though we may be surrounded by a firestorm of cursing and discouragement, James reminds us that we are not alone. Ivermectin is one of several ionophores, others including hydroxychloroquine, quercetin, and resveratrol, the latter two available over the counter. Resveratrol. Know where you can find a good natural source?

195 Well, I would like to say that at my local remembrance of 9/11 there was the Mayor and other folks from the county. They all spoke of the bravery of the first responders, many who gave their lives in service to others and we had some moments of silence. One official who was an Black woman spoke of the fact that we are all part of the same human family and we should work together and support each other in the nation we love. It was a short memorial service but I found it meaningful.

209 Actually unless Bush specifically mentioned January 6th (which I didn't read) it's unclear what he was specifically referring to. He mentioned anarchy, did he not. That could as easily be references to Antifa or the BLM rioting.

It's a coy attempt at plausible deniability, but it doesn't work. Bush is already on record attacking the Jan. 6 protesters as insurrectionists in an official statement: https://tinyurl.com/e79j5h2e

He's also expressed support for BLM: https://tinyurl.com/2cnue4x3

So he can sidle about in the shadows with his vague, unspecified accusations against "domestic" enemies and hope to slither by due to people's generosity and willingness to give the benefit of the doubt, but he's just being shifty to avoid getting direct heat.

Lot of different ways to play that out.

If you feel that you are smarter than the Chinese, then you are getting inside information on how they are creating a bioweapon.

If you are in collusion with them, then you serve the same master and your thoughts should not include the paradigm of sovereign nations.

If you feel morally superior to the Chinese, then you are feeling like James Bond and feeding them bad info while sending home the good stuff.

I know that those involved are as amoral, less intelligent, unpatriotic and trying to serve an evil master.

His speechwriters were and are pretty good, and his speeches read much better than anything Obama The Magnificent's writers produced. Given his antipathy for Trump, expecting much more re "domestic terrorists" from a Bush speech would be foolish. Looked at a certain way, Bush went farther yesterday condemning the Democratic Party's use of violence by urban guerrillas than any other high profile GOP politician except Bush and a couple Congressman. The right shouldn be careful to avoid a too finely tuned a persecution complex.

276 I too avoided any observances which only serve to make our surrender all the more bitter.

It's hard to mourn our losses with our tail between our legs. I'm distracted by the losses yet to come, as they surely will.

I defer to those who pathologies orient them towards ceremoniously observing defeat, loss and death and the victory of evil. Personally the shrines disgust me as it reminds me of weak people trying to show virtue and caring about the dead while ignoring the living. I don't understand tearing down statues of bold leaders while constructing temples to our enemies' victories and reminding ourselves on how effective they were in killing our kinsmen.

If that is how a person is wired, my words and thoughts aren't going to change it. That is where our society, such as it is, exists.

287 I read another story long ago about a seat-changing game the muzzies were running on domestic flights. After take-off, intentionally moving around the cabin, swapping seats, approaching the cockpit, general pain in the ass stuff.
They were probing the reactions of the other passengers along with the crew. Softening up the opposition.

294 Because it's against the law to do that kind of research here in the US so we have to farm it out.
Posted by: Mister Scott (formerly GWS) at September 12, 2021 07:32 AM (JUOKG)

For a very long while it wasn't unlawful - as long as it wasn't on the US mainland. That is why Galveston and Plum Island were research centers into the art of weaponizing plagues. Even then they were colluding to make it sound like we wouldn't do it, yet wrote the law to secretly allow it.

One problem with so many thrillers where Ethan Hunt, James Bond, et al are saving the world from maniacs is that the villain often starts from scratch. The truth is that there are a lot of morally flexible people who use tax dollars to go the long haul then the psychopaths swoop in, bribe those with the package and take it the last mile.

297 One of the endless gifts Obama gave us. It isn't a treaty because we are not calling it a treaty.

The constitution says congress has to approve treaties, but does not explicitly define what a treaty is, therefore, a treaty is only what you call a treaty.

It isn't gain of function research if you don't call it gain of function research.

We avoided everything, but then last night stumbled upon a fabulous documentary series on Nat Geo where 9/11 survivors recounted events of that day. It's called "One Day in America."Rescue stories, recounted by both the rescuer and rescued, but also the losses. Recommend if it's available for streaming (Hulu IIRC). Nothing current or woke, just story telling and people who setpped up to the challenge.

306 I don't get the avoidance of these things. I complain about how these events have become theater of failure or celebrations of the feminization of our culture, but people should take these in and process them with either prayers for our redemption and delivery or for maintaining anger and bitterness with a long view on retribution. Save and share the pictures of the burning Towers and falling people. Point and laugh at the "drone club" and their current feeble embodiment. Use their mockery as fuel.
