BEAR FIGHT! I wouldn't link this if it was too violent. It's not. The two bears are fighting, but in the beginning it's just roaring and dominance-display stuff, and even during the second half, when they're actually fighting, it looks like the sort of controlled violence which is designed to producer a winner but not produce a corpse. Sport combat, just like humans perform.

Doggie roll call.

Copycat.

Weirdly human looking monkey. I swear this looks fake. It looks like a guy in a monkey suit with an animatronic mask.

A dog tries to teach a kitten to play with a ball.

Peacock picnic.

The hound will be taking his dinner in the parlor.

Mom cat acts quick to protect her kitten.

Puppy and cat having a play-fight, with added Steve-Inman-style fight sound effects.

Really cool vertically-built domino chain reaction. They're actually little wooden planks and not dominoes but it's the same idea as the domino fall.

Inman: Darwin Awards: Tokyo Drift.

Antifa soyboy thinks he's Spider-Man, but he's really Captain Traction.

Discount Jack Black is having soy-induced psychosis. Soychosis!

This kid thinks that soccer is a combat sport. And he's good at it.

Trump Derangement Syndrome is bad for driving.

Dolphin vs. orca again.

It's Friday. Give yourselves a high-five.

Yeah, it used to be that people would put sugar in tomato recipes because the old tomatoes of the past were more bitter and acidic, so the sugar cut it. They dipped them in any gravy or liquid they got, to soften them up some for one thing.

337 Can't-Miss Meatloaf (came out of a church cookbook 30 years ago)
sauce
1/2 cup ketchup, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tsp dry mustard,

meatloaf
2 lb ground beef, 3 slices bread, crumbled, 1/4 cup dried onion, 1 egg, beaten, 1 beef bouillon cube, crumbled, 3 tbsp lemon juice

mix the sauce ingredients, mix the meatloaf ingredients, then mix 1/3 of the sauce in with the meatloaf ingredients. Set the sauce in the fridge. Put the meat in 9x5 pan in a loaf shape (use cooking spray to prevent sticking). Bake at 350 for an hour. Remove, pour off fat, pour sauce over top and cook for ten more minutes.

Fun fact. Grog was named after British Vice-Admiral Edward Vernon who was called "Old Grog" because of the coat he wore. He added it to British sailor's daily rations in exchange for banning them from having any other alcohol on the ship.

Admiral Vernon had served with George Washington's older half-brother, Lawrence Washington. When Lawrence bought a Virginia estate he named it after his old commander - Mount Vernon.

Once, though, some Indian delicacies he was looking forward to were devoured by the Suprise's usually manageable and reasonably well-behaved rats. Why did the rats rampage through the stores? Because they had broken into and developed a taste for the cocaine Maturin was hiding below decks. Once they'd consumed it all, they went nuts, looking for a taste in every nook and cranny of the ship, devouring everything they could get their teeth on. "Well, we still have the wine Stephen."

366 On the subject of always trusting the media-approved science because it's never wrong, the Theranos lady popped up in the news again. Apparently they're going after her for fraud.

I was really disappointed when I found out that Bill Frist, whom I previously had much respect for, had gotten mixed up in that mess. Of all the mostly useless famous people that they stacked the board with, he should have known that something wasn't right.

Yeah it was little stuff like that which made the series fresh and interesting. The Hornblower series had some good scenes built around food on ships too. Like the time he was quarantined on a ship full of cattle and slaughtered a bullock a day to feed the crew

interesting, but sure sure casting is difficult. To me, prob because I saw the movie first, whatshisface is now Maturin and it would've been cool for his wife to play his wife if they coulda got a sequel made (that focuses on some of their lady sprees and bad luck ashore).

I caught a snippet that Jack is as tall as Maturin's mute giant of a loblolly boy (whose name I forget). But fatter, so much fatter.

So instead of awakend Thor, we'd cast fat Thor.

(Spoiler alert: 99% chance they will.)

464 Skynard and Allmans very different. Skynard's live show was very rehearsed, arrangements very faithful to records. Allmans were looser, improvisers.

The Daily Mail, which can still be relied on to report news that the MSM won't touch, has fallen victim to this, too, perverting their traditional style of ogling to report that some fat chick has put on a VERY busty display, like anyone cares. They especially seem to like one fat chick, Lizzo by name. I'm not sure what she's famous for, but I'm guessing it's not modeling.

470 Not to say Allmans weren't well rehearsed. But they allowed more room in live arrangements. Skynyrd was well known for its tight, note perfect live shows. Ronnie Van Zandt ran a very tight ship in that respect.

Posted by: IC at September 10, 2021 08:34 PM (Nyumu)

Biden wanted a bad guys body count before the last C-17 took off. So that he could say he got revenge for the 13 dead and 20 wounded military personnel. I recall reporters on the Pentagon beat saying Joe told the Pentagon that the local commander was authorized to take-out targets with no approval from his higher-higher. Kabul became a US drone free-fire zone.

477 I'm just going to throw this out, as I think it's interesting. Was talking to an old friend, one of us. Sinema was mentioned. We went around about why she's screwing with them, my theory being she just like effing with people's heads.

He took it a step further. Remember, she is a senator from AZ. She may be thinking that it worked for McCain, and wants to be the Democrats' "maverick".

Maybe.

There's a simpler analysis, that amounts to: she's a Leftist, but she wants to be re-elected, so she avoids anything with live current. Manchin, too, but he has a worse chance of getting away with it, considering where WV is these days.

I remember that. I was at my parents. Dad woke me up and said something odd was going on. I remember when I got out there I said I remembered how the plane had hit the Empire State building and Dad said 'Yes, but that was at night and there was fog.'

Then the second plane hit.
