I didn't dive deep into it as with other (ineffective) "mitigation" policies, which were/remain pointless, and in many cases damaging, in a situation of a prevalent highly infectious respiratory virus. But my impression was that, except of course *before* some well ID'd pathogen had spread, and in the case that it was only found in a particular country or area, travel restrictions have no value. Which makes sense.
And I see lots of comparisons of current country infection rates, death numbers, etc., with suggestions that vaccination does/doesn't matter, IVM works/doesn't work, on and on.
But it's pretty unlikely that comparisons of rates in different regions and latitudes shows anything at all. Hope-Simpson. Rates will vary regionally, not by "policy". This makes the same desired point, but actually at least is apples/apples and within the framework of the proven (if unexplained) Hope-Simpson patterns.

Been using it as an anti-allergy 'medication' for several years. Two 500 mg capsules (1 ea. morn/night) have taken my wife off of a daily Zyrtec. I take one in the morning, and occassionally boost w/another. We use Solaray QBC.

I took quercetin before the whole Covid thing hit because it is a decent anti inflammatory. Lessens the amount I have to take allergy medication for example. Ditto for vitamin D. The only thing added during cold and flu season anyway was Vitamin C with Zinc that you use for colds which include those caused by coronaviruses (not covid). Both Walgreens and CVS have generics of this but I take Cold eeze primarily because the chewable tablets taste better.

Funny story on that. Once a week or so, I was sent to the local German bakery for fresh brotchen to pick up a dozen of those delicious things. They always gave me 13.
I know, I counted. So. I ate one on the way home. Until, one day, dad decided to stop and pick them up hisself. Busted, big time.
I confessed, got credit for ingenuity, no penalty. Whew.

Funny that you mention this. Today, for the first time in ages, I stopped to buy a baker's dozen bagels. I can honestly say I was sick as I have ever been for about 7 of the days. But I was able to keep my oxygen levels up using breathing exercises I found online.
I took vits D3, C, Zinc, Tumeric, the B's, lots of fluids and I have been in bed most of the time since last week Thursday. I got pink eye as a secondary infection and have had a major MS exacerbation as the main aftermath so far.
I suppose I am in for a bit of a recovery.
I do plan to go back to work Tuesday.

There is absolutely NO reason to spend $ on supplements for these things. Onions are a great source of quercetin (+ all kinds of other phytonutrients) and a good source of vitamin C. Pineapple is the best source of bromelain and a fantastic source of Vitamin C. Eating real food also gives you the entourage effect of all the other stuff they contain. Only specifically supplement what you can't get naturally. Going to town (figuratively) on fruit and veggies will give you many of the phytos you need.

Does anyone know how easy it is to get hold of Ivermectin or HCQ? My aunt just got diagnosed with Kung Flu, and while I normally wouldn't worry about it, she had a heart attack earlier this year, so I'm concerned she's not in the best of shape. (Hasn't gotten the vaccine*, so nothing to worry about on that front at least.) And I don't know whether the pharmacies are making it as impossible to get Ivermectin as they did to get HCQ.
Any ideas?

Yeah, blood clotting with occasional strokes as a result are the main thing I've seen from my own reading. It seems to be a result of the spike protein; myocarditis and pericarditis (not that I really know what those are) are the particular risks. I only brought this up to tell you all that it IS possible to beat this in spite of the ever dreaded comorbidities.
Also because I have other drugs I'm taking for the cancer, I couldn't take ivermectin.
My hubby looked everywhere and couldn't find quercetin.
I am going to get some first chance I can though so hubby has it in case he ever gets sick.
My doc has me at very high but D3 levels for the MS. He wants me to stay above 74.
I'm sure that helped.

I can handle most peppers fine, I've chewed bits of carolina reapers before, had them and other hot peppers in sauce and I sweat but I'm ok. I love hot spicy food.. But there's something Indian places can put in their garam masala that will destroy me and haunt my bowels for a day. You look at online western recipes and it looks like pumpkin pie spice but damn, when you ask for hot they have some trick. I learned my lesson and am careful now.

A woman in my church caught it last year and wouldn't ever get out of bed and move around, and she never got over the symptoms; died about a month ago. Don't let yourself get bedridden.

I'm watching a British series, 'Walking through History'. There weren't commercials in the first few but there have been in the last 2 episodes I've watched. Annoying as hell. And it's not just once, it's like every 15 mins.

There are tales on Denninger's forum of CVS and other big pharmacies in various highly blue areas refusing to fill ivermectin prescriptions.
One guy told such a tale with a shrieking rabid lefty Karen type pharmacist who berated him for trying to use it, and then called the doctor who prescribed it to cuss him out as well.

Licenses should have been revoked for a lot of what passes for "medicine" today, starting back whenever the first "sex change" operation happened. Unfortunately the AMA is a bunch of leftist asshats.
