The Saturday Night Joke

A large woman, wearing a sleeveless sun dress, walks into a pub in Wealthwood She raises her right arm, revealing a huge hairy armpit.

She points to all the people sitting at the bar and asks, “What man here will buy a lady a drink?”

The bar goes silent as the patrons try to ignore her. But down at the end of the bar, an old, owl-eyed drunk slams his hand down on the counter and bellows, “Give the ballerina a drink!”

The bartender pours the drink and the woman chugs it down. She turns to the patrons and again points around at all of them, revealing the same hairy armpit, and asks, ‘What man here will buy a lady a drink?”

Once again, the same little ole drunk slaps his money down on the bar and says, “Give the ballerina another drink!”

The bartender approaches the little old drunk and says, “Tell me, Paddy, it’s your own darn business if you want to buy the lady a drink, but why in tarnation do you keep calling her the ballerina?”

The drunk replies, “Any woman who can lift her leg that high has got to be a ballerina!”

A Second Saturday Night Joke

GIRLS NIGHT OUT
Two women friends had gone for a girl's night out. Both were very faithful and loving wives, however, they had gotten overenthusiastic on the Bacardi Breezers. Incredibly drunk and walking home they needed to pee, so they stopped in the cemetery. One of them had nothing to wipe with so she thought she would take off her panties and use them.

Her friend, however, was wearing a rather expensive pair of panties and did not want to ruin them. She was lucky enough to squat down next to a grave that had a wreath with a ribbon on it, so she decided to wipe with that. After the girls did their business, they proceeded to go home.

The next day one of the women's husbands was concerned that his normally sweet and innocent wife was still in bed hung over, so he phoned the other husband and said, " These girl nights have got to stop! I'm starting to suspect the worst...my wife came home with no panties!!"

"That's nothing" said the other husband, "Mine came back with a card stuck to her ass that said.....

"From all of us at the Fire Station. We'll never forget you." (H/T Bob)

Destination weddings are a pricey for both the couple and the invited guests. If a guest RSVPs and doesn't show up: Should they be invoiced?

Newlyweds Send $240 Invoice to Guests Who Didn’t Show Up to Destination Wedding

Is there anything more unnecessarily stressful than wedding planning? I would argue that if you're getting so worked up over celebrating your special day to the point where the day itself becomes more important than that special someone you're spending the rest of your life with, well, then you probably don't think that special someone is so special.

On 2 Sep 1972:
The Erie Canal Soda Pop Festival was held over three days on Bull Island, near Griffin, Indiana. The Promoters expected over 50,000 music fans, and over 200,000 attended the festival. Many bands pulled out as the festival drifted steadily into anarchy. Bands that did appear included Flash Cadillac & the Continental Kids, Black Oak Arkansas, Cheech and Chong, Foghat, Albert King, Brownsville Station, Canned heat, Flash, Ravi Shankar, Rory Gallagher, Lee Michaels and Frosty, the Eagles, The Amboy Dukes, and Gentle Giant. Three concert goers drowned in the Wabash River and as the festival ended, the remnants of the crowd burned down the music stand. via thisdayinmusic.com

Who knew Indiana could be so fun?

Don't take the brown Meth. I repeat don't take the brown Meth. It's bad man and causes you to be a Genius Award Winner.

PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A Lancaster County man is facing charges after police say that he drove across the state of Pennsylvania, through at least seven counties, after he thought someone was spying on him through his CD player.

According to state police out of Punxsutawney, the 28-year-old from Manheim, Pa. walked into the Punxsy station on Aug. 28 because he said he didn’t trust the police in Lancaster County. The man proceeded to explain to the police that someone had replaced parts in his CD Player so someone could spy on him.

Police noted that it was immediately obvious the man was under the influence and hadn’t slept in multiple days.

Back in middle and high school, we had some footwear Nazi coaches about what was allowed on the gym floor.

Some of those coaches were some real pieces of work. Back in high school, and damned if I can remember the head coach's name. It's on the tip of my brain, but won't come out.

Fucker used to strut around in little tight gym shorts and a tight muscle shirt. He was developing a little gut. There was one female teacher who was quite the hottie. This fucker would suck in that gut and strut like a rooster when ever he was in sight of her.

We all used to laugh our asses off about that. Fucker cussed me out one time for wearing Nike running shoes with black soles on his precious gym floor.

Posted by: San Franpsycho

I think that's different from what people usually call a destination wedding. I've known a couple of people who live in the same state with almost all of their relatives and close friends, and decide they'd like to combine their wedding and honeymoon by getting married in Las Vegas or the Caribbean. Two of the people who did this were on their third marriages, and shocked at how few people were willing to spend money on airfare and hotel bills for their third "special day".

154 Never saw a fan fight that I recall at Caps' games. One playoff game up at the Spectrum, however (won by Caps in overtime, Kelly Miller goal) featured an amusing sight as we exited - a (presumably Caps') fan in a Caps' jersey literally being chased by a small group of fans in Flyers' jerseys.

Caps games were like several west coast pro sports venues - often fans for the visiting team were more numerous, or more vocal, than the "home" fans. Pretty simple result of old franchises/brands with their generational devotees vs. new-ish outfits. Also, before CA declined, at least in San Diego, attendance at pro sports (even if the team were doing well) was always a struggle.

Day-time games, of course, especially. Chargers in their prime could fill the stadium, but not if they weren't 1st in their division. As a kid I asked my dad about this, he patiently explained that were 34 other great things to do outdoors here, most free, so.

It does not mean that you can discard them wholesale, either. You have to read them, and then ask yourself, "from what I know of the science, does this make any kind of sense at all."

FWIW, I tend to disregard the claims that the clot shot makes you arm become magnetized, or that it contains microchips, etc. etc. It's just not a very effective vaccine, as we have become accustomed to vaccines in general. I had considered it but grappa is generally made from the pomace left after they press the fermented grapes. (and mine are Concords which don't make good wine anyways)

I suppose I could go down to one of the wineries and ask for a truckload of pomace "for my garden" or "for my hogs" when they are pressing and brew it up in a couple of 55 gal barrels, but then I would have to build a distillery too, and I am not sure I want to violate so many federal laws

239 "Question: is he a psychopath or a sociopath? Show your work."

What's the difference?

Let me phrase that a little more carefully. I've searched the web over looking for definitions of the two terms and all the ones I could find had the sociopath and psychopath essentially overlapping. So, what's the practical difference between the two?

Dental insurance is often the perk that gets cut first. Let's hope we are keeping Ace in the lifestyle he is accustomed to. IKEA shelving, Vespas and the necessary accessorizing man bags. When kids are diagnosed as psychopaths, they don't call it that. They label it "oppositional defiance disorder" or some such shit, because they have no treatment for psychopathy and don't want parents to panic. But, it's the same damned thing. When they use the term "sociopath," they usually mean nobody has been killed, no animals maimed, no fires set, but that doesn't mean it won't happen. Usually the term "Psychopath" is saved for the kids when they reach 18 and can mutilate, murder and maim at will. Not every one does, but they will if they get the opportunity.

264 there is definitely a gasoline aroma. Cheap slivovitz is tough for me as well. But it is interesting with grappa, so many talk about how much they love the high end, special stuff a chef will give only to certain customers. But really the people are skilled at what they do or they are not.

I don't doubt they make really good grappa, but there is a reason it is a cult thing and has remained a cult thing for a long time outside of Italy.

I have heard of Marc CBD but haven't tried it. Even the fairly expensive commercial brandies don't appeal to me that much. Even something like "privilege" is just smooth, and not much else. Better than any grappa I have tried though.

This. At the federal level a grant to prove X is going to require you prove X regardless of the data. Your "peers" may very well be your neighbor's dog or a can of tuna. It doesn't matter as long as X is proven by the data.

Generally, I suspect all scientific research is compromised by money. I'll do my own "peer review" and decide accordingly.

321 When they use the term "sociopath," they usually mean nobody has been killed, no animals maimed, no fires set, but that doesn't mean it won't happen.

On the serious level, I had a long discussion with my TKD grand master who was also a clinical psychologist. The bulk of his work was done in corrections facilities. He said the two terms are quite often used synonymously. The characteristics of each has a significant amount of overlap. He did say that some professionals would make the distinction that sociopathy was caused by environmental factors while pyscopathy was genetic. He didn't necessarily buy into that. He said in the end it really was a fruitless conversation unless you were in a court of law. He said a great many people manifest sociopathic tendencies but it doesn't mean they are clinical. Sometimes people are just heartless asshoes.

kinda sorta made sense, but then later he said .. (iirc) "so within three years, everyone that got the vaccine will die". I was like ... wait, did he just say that? Maybe he was fired by Pfizer for good cause ... or maybe they really are trying to kill us, not just control us (seems unlikely, but things are pretty crazy now).

I'm with Dr. Malone, at risk people should get the vaccine even if only to make outcome less likely to be deadly. I've read some of the more scary versions ... imo the repeated vaccines are about money, and carry risk. But some claims are pretty wild.

Posted by: Additional Blond Agent,

My understanding is that a psychopath is more "organized" and while they feel no empathy, they understand how to appear normal to gain advantage.

A sociopath is what you would call "disorganized" and does things which are against society and people, and has no empathy, but does not try too hard to hide it.

In short, a psychopath will rape your daughter and lie about it. a sociopath will rape you dog on the front lawn.

374 I've read some of the more scary versions ... imo the repeated vaccines are about money, and carry risk. But some claims are pretty wild.

The best campfire story to date is that the Chimera will continue to confound the "vaccine" necessitating further booster shots. With each booster shot, the body's natural immunity is increasingly compromised. Basically Fauci's failure with Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome is coming back in the form of each mRNA dose hurts the immune system necessitating yet another shot to deal with each disease and influenza that the body once used to defend.

Shorter version: People will have to pay regularly to get a shot to survive what they used to be able to handle. Your life is now contingent on a continuous subscription to Big Pharma.

375 incorporated or expressed by endothelial cells, including vascular endothelial cells causing immune response against those cells, inflammation

The Canadian doctor (Hoffe?) elaborated on that. He studied over 900 patients he vaccinated. He used the the D-timmer blood test which indicated significant microscopic clotting issues the kind which wouldn't be apparent using a CT scan. He warned that the vaccine is a mechanism for injury, doing permanent damage to critical organs. He warned that the worse is yet to come. Dr. Peter McCullough has said similar things.

It is not hard to find that kind of intent, going back just a little into the Gates fiascos, and their plans to "Flood". flood the media, so their message drowns our everything ... Flood is their word in their planning meetings on overcoming mass resistance.

But my guess is for now they are content with forced compliance on masks and mandates ... then repeated boosters. Once they have internal passports based on social credit scores, we may welcome the soylent green in vaccine form, or whatever their next step is. ... The madness of forced vaccinations of not at risk children has to be stopped.

420 Reproducibility is key.
To expand: Reproducibility by an outside lab using your protocols is key.
This then goes to a peer reviewed journal.
This is how it is supposed to work.
Posted by: The Man from Athens
No offense. But that is not how it works. How would an outside lab know of your work, or repeat your work if it was not published? You think researchers do novel work, and then hand that work to a competing lab to confirm/test it?
No. That is not how it works, or it is supposed to work.
You do work in your own lab. You repeat the same experiments at least 3 times each, and convince yourself that you have a repeatable result. This novel result you write up and submit to the editors of JBC or Science or Nature or whatever. They then send your manuscript to 3 or more reviewers, hopefully competitors in your field who are knowledgeable about the techniques etc. Who then look at the data and decide if there are any errors in your logic or your data. They give a yeah or nay about your paper. If yay, your article gets published. Then other labs repeat your work, maybe. As part of their own work to expand it.

The lady explained that she walked by once a week to the grocery store to get groceries, but at her advanced age, it was becoming a bit too strenuous and that she was considering buying a car.

Hale asked the woman what kind of car she would like, to which she confessed she didn't know anything about cars, but that her deceased husband drove a car made by Plymouth that she always liked. Hale asked her what make it was, to which she replied "something angry, I think."

Hale thought for a moment and replied "A Plymouth Fury?" ........

I didn't say that the Rulers were smart, they truly believe the lie that the windmills will generate nameplate power for thirty years with little maintenance. They believe that solar panels will last generations.

Even if they didn't, which requires more human resources to maintain? Thermal generation or so-called "renewables"? Nukes require too much human input to keep them going, that is why they keep disregarding nuclear energy as a "Green" source. We'd placed blocks under the car's wheels, and I had slacked off the comealong so I could shorten the chain and take another pull on it, when the car rolled over the blocks, causing the comealong handle to spin around and schwack me hard on the upper arm. No bones broken, at least.

I wonder if I can parlay that bruise into "proof of vaccination"?

There is an interesting scene in Neal Stephenson's Anathema, where one monk asks another to punch him in the face, hard, so he can understand more about self defense. I learned a bit that day.

"Fantastic" said the widow, "I'd like one the same color as my late husbands."

"Oh ma'am, what color was it?" replied the owner.

At this the widow pulled an ear of corn from her grocery bag and said "Yellow, just like this."

444 Robert Hale replied despondently "Ma'am I only have a green one, and those are old cars and pretty rare. I doubt I can get a yellow one."

At this the seemingly meek widow suddenly grew outraged and began to strike the owner in the head with the corn cob.

As this was happening, another salesman came out of the restroom and took notice of the fracas. He looked at the receptionist and asked "What's going on?" In disbelief.

The reception shrugged her shoulders and said "Apparently Hale hath no fury like a woman's corn."

Off the top of my head, I'd say nukes have the least need for manpower, for the amount of energy produced. One refueling crew could keep a whole fleet of reactors going. And since the fuel is so energetic, the labor needed to mine it, truck it, and refine it is much less than for coal or petroleum.

I can easily see the very elderly and others with lower metabolic health weighing the risks with the supposed benefits. That has little to do with character, just simply working out the risk ratios.

Propaganda is also extremely effective in terrifying some and seducing many people into forgetting everything they ever knew about colds and influenza and adopting some of the most insane medical practices.

The war is mainly fought against petrol based; but it is also very irrational going after petrol since fuel is just one category of essential product. Fertilizers, medicines, plastics, cosmetics, lubricants, etc. are integrated in our lives.

I need to think more about all of the inputs needed to keep nuclear running, particularly the mining, refining and latter disposal costs in human input. Solar and Wind also have mining costs...

Currently there are 445 plants with 50 more in the pipe - mostly China and India. (two expansion reactors in the former USA)

with nuclear, you have to keep in mind that some labor is intrinsic to keeping the machine running, and some is dead-weight, whose only purpose is to comply with ultra-paranoid safety regulations.

El Camino, and its Ford counterpart, the Ranchero, came out on the late '50's. Ranchero was first by a year or two, in '57. They are basically 3-passenger coupes posing as pickups. Their tonnage rating would be about one-quarter ton, if one were given. They look cool, but they are pretty useless as pickups. Anything much larger than a couple bales of hay or a keg of beer defeats them. And there is a distinct lack of lockable secure storage if you traveling in one.

You wanna talk about abbreviated capacity in a "truck", you've got to take in the early '60s Ford Econoline (on the Falcon platform) "pickup truck". The Honda Ridgeline of it's day. The worst though, were the Corvair Greenbriar and the VW truck based on the bus platform.

Frankly, a 60s/70s Datsun pickup would work circles around all of the aforementioned. Including the rust. Nothing could rust like a 60s/70s Datsun.

Love 'em or hate 'em, but the Econoline, VW transporter, and Greenbriar were legitimate commercial trucks. I never owned any Corvair models, but I owned several VW vans, and a much-loved '65 Econoline van, with cargo doors on both sides. They could easily handle a half-ton load, which is what they were rated for. Owned Datsun trucks, too, and liked them as well. One thing about the VW and Corvair (rampside) pickups is that the cargo floor was much lower than regular pickup designs (not so the Econoline), which was useful when loading things like a refrigerator off a furniture dolly.

Not arguing the loadability and essential utility, there. We loaded up the rampside Econoline with dirbikes and gear for desert riding till the damn truck was crying uncle.

Short life cycle vehicles though. Cooling, braking, suspension, undersized "car rated" bias-ply tires, etc. PERFECT platform for resto-mods, and wow, does the modern gear make 'em what they should've been, way back then.

534 Not enough information here. It makes it a good question though. I guess it comes down to generations and how different generations perceive things. The first issue is if a 22 year old is considered a kid.

Did the kid want his father to stick around to see how things turned out? Did the kid have a mile to walk home or 20 miles?

I know in my day if my dad took me to a bar, saw I had other interests than hanging out with him, gave me money and left, it would be seen as a major bonding moment.

In the end the key is how old he was, what he wanted his father to do, and if doing so was negligent. If the key point is that it was a "hip hop bar" then why go there in the first place?

535 My dad took me to dinner on my 21st birthday along with a friend of mine. It was a great dinner with wine. We had Grand Marnier as an after dinner drink. The first time I ever had a drink I tells ya.

Maybe it is a generational thing, but after that time, the very few times we went to a bar, I always saw it as taking him to a bar.

Kinda surprised to see you here still. Actually, it's pretty cool, TBH.
Are you still in touch with Elle Jaye? Cooth? Maybe Slap?
