Government Teachers Gone Wild: Teachers Direct Students to Salute the Gay Pride Flat and the Antifa Flag

The head of the Los Angeles teachers union says it's fine that due to "distance learning" and an already lazy, incompetent workforce that kids don't know how to do math.

The important thing, she says, is that they can recite leftist indoctrination points, such as every BLM riot really being a "protest" and every rightwing protest being an "insurrection."

he head of the Los Angeles teachers union claimed that there is "no such thing as learning loss" for students who were forced into remote learning during the pandemic, saying the children learned "survival" and "the difference between a riot and a protest."
"There is no such thing as learning loss," United Teachers Los Angeles President Cecily Myart-Cruz told "Los Angeles Magazine" in a rare sit-down interview when she was questioned about how her insistence to keep the school district locked down during the pandemic impacted students.
"Our kids didn’t lose anything. It’s OK that our babies may not have learned all their times tables. They learned resilience. They learned survival. They learned critical-thinking skills. They know the difference between a riot and a protest. They know the words insurrection and coup," she continued.

We've made them "differently abled" -- you're welcome. Now they have one less privilege.

The Los Angeles Unified School District is the second largest district in the country, with more than 600,000 students.
Myart-Cruz was at the forefront of rejecting Gov. Gavin Newsom’s push to get teachers back into the classroom in March, saying $2 billion in incentives for teachers to return to in-person teaching was "a recipe for propagating structural racism."
"If you condition funding on the reopening of schools, that money will only go to white and wealthier and healthier school communities that do not have the transmission rates that low-income Black and brown communities do," Myart-Cruz said at the time.
Amid talk of the district implementing hybrid learning this year, she said in her interview with "Los Angeles Magazine" that her objective "is getting back into schools as safe as possible."
But added: "Are there broader issues at play? Yes, there are."
"Education is political," she said. "People don’t want to say that, but it is."

She's gloated that while you can recall Newsom or school board members, "How are you gonna get rid of me?"

She's also claimed that Jews are behind popular discontent with "distance learning."

Last winter, she posted an article to Facebook reporting that a Chicago superintendent believed parents who pushed for students to return to in-class learning were part of "white-supremacist thinking." She captioned the Facebook post with, "Right on!" and claimed that UTLA staffers were being "stalked by wealthy, white, Middle Eastern parents."
The UTLA president was accused of anti-Semitism for the comment and was also slammed for allegedly ordering a study to be conducted on the racial backgrounds of parents protesting her remote stance to ostensibly prove her point that racism was behind the push to get kids back into the classroom.

Project Veritas has video of an antifa teacher proclaiming he intends to train his students to be "revolutionaries," and gives them better grades if they attend leftwing "rallies." (Or, you know: Mostly Peaceful Riots.)

Gabriel Gipe, AP Government Teacher, Inderkum High School: "I have 180 days to turn them [students] into revolutionaries... Scare the f*ck out of them."
Gipe: "I'm probably as far left as you can go."
Gipe: "I post a calendar every week... I've had students show up for protests, community events, tabling, food distribution, all sorts of things... When they go, they take pictures, write up a reflection -- that’s their extra credit."
Gipe: "So, they [students] take an ideology quiz and I put [the results] on the [classroom] wall. Every year, they get further and further left... I'm like, 'These ideologies are considered extreme, right? Extreme times breed extreme ideologies.' Right? There is a reason why Generation Z, these kids, are becoming further and further left."
Gipe: "I have an Antifa flag on my [classroom] wall and a student complained about that -- he said it made him feel uncomfortable. Well, this [Antifa flag] is meant to make fascists feel uncomfortable, so if you feel uncomfortable, I don't really know what to tell you. Maybe you shouldn't be aligning with the values that this [Antifa flag] is antithetical to."

He also flies the gay pride flag. So he's bipartisan:

Gipe: "Like, why aren't people just taking up arms? Like why can't we, you know -- take up arms against the state? We have historical examples of that happening, and them getting crushed and being martyrs for a cause and it's like -- okay well, it’s slow going because it takes a massive amount of organization."
Gipe: "I think that for [left-wing] movements in the United States, we need to be able to attack both [cultural and economic] fronts. Right? We need to create parallel structures of power because we cannot rely on the state... Consistently focusing on education and a change of cultural propaganda. We have to hit both fronts. We have to convince people that this is what we actually need."
Gipe: "There are three other teachers in my department that I did my credential program with -- and they’re rad. They’re great people. They’re definitely on the same page."
Gipe: "Sacramento, as a city itself, is incredibly diverse. But we're surrounded by a bunch of right-wing rednecks."

I know this is all part of the Long March, but it's still weird for me to see someone connected to teaching kids cheer for actual ignorance and stunting of social growth for their charges, and not be tarred and feathered by the locals.

Unless "survival" meant learning how to prep for the oncoming disaster of broken supply chains and rolling blackouts, the kids failed on that front.

They also get the completely wrong definitions of "riots, protests, coups, and insurrections."

So an incomplete on 1 item and 4 fails on the rest. For an entire year. Sounds like loss to me.

he had his "interim health director" who is not even an MD or from a HC background (but she's pretty! and a nice loyal bureaucrat) declare that under that law ALL SCHOOLS AND DAYCARES in PA have to be fully masked

it had been up to individual schools and districts to decide, and we had the parents going to meetings etc etc. we actually did really well with having most districts go optional (you can still wear masks!!! my son's school I would say about half the kids were wearing)

Yep, and we keep importing more and more assholes. It's like a magnet. Once the locusts feed and there's nothing left, they'll move on to the next state. They've already metastasized in Oregon and Washington. I'm second generation my family came in the mid 1920's. Now that my mother has passed, I'm free to leave. But you get so invested (properties, friends, work) it's hard to think about starting over at my age - unless I straight up retire. That might be my option. I'd rather just start shooting these fucks, sounds like a lot more fun.

I was one of those kids with no dad. On the Father Son Boy scout camps I was paired with another kid whos data couldn't make it and got to have our own little campsite plus visit with all the other dads. I'd rather have been banned from coming than ruin it for others.

He not so much told me what to think but pointed out we should get information from all sides and think things through. Btw i learned more from one good prof than all other teachers combined. The only other training that was as good was taught by enlisted regular joes.

Tennessee has what they call the Hope scholarship where they basically use a lottery to fund a scholarship for everybody in state who graduates high school and has a pulse.

What this means is that the colleges there, at any given time, are full of freshmen who have no business being there. I've seen some freshman classes at a Chattanooga campus with a collective IQ of 45.

It's a great way for the colleges to fleece the citizens there and make sure that high school kids with a 1.1 GPA get to go to college for 70 to 75 days or so.

For those looking for Christian private schools check out those affiliated with the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS). There are a bunch of them, second only in number to Catholic schools. We are Evangelical Christians and not Lutheran but have been incredibly blessed by our son's LCMS school. We had orientation today (school starts tomorrow) and the principal stated unambiguously, "We will never teach your children something contrary to the Bible". Having our kids there now two years I know he means it. The LCMS is very conservative and traditional, we could not be happier.

I know it's a financial stretch for most people, but do you really want your kids spending a good part of their day being indoctrinated by atheist leftists? Pulling out our kids was one of the best decisions we ever made even though we had to cut back on spending in many areas. Well worth it.

They've noticed up there that GPS stations they put up for various reasons show an interesting pattern that instead of holding in place on a fault the station will slowly, over weeks slide back to its position. This energy is more or less what a moderate quake would release. So it isn't clear what strain is building up on that fault right now or when a new one might go off.

I've heard the overdue about San Andreas for some 40-50 years, and it was a 70 year cycle.

Yes, the classical age did emphasize "the Classics" and Rhetoric. The demand to end memorization has hardly made our education better - neighborhood kids growing up would learn hundreds of baseball players, stats and scores without any problem.

The PREP act goes far beyond the existing system. When there is an "emergency" as defined by the Sec. of the HHS, legal immunity is granted to the "covered persons" who are executing the approved "countermeasures" against the emegency.

Such a PREP emergency was declared for Covid. Hospitals and others have complete immunity from lawsuits (except for "willful misconduct") for the treatment of Covid, but only if they stick to approved countermeasures, defined the Sec. of HHS declaration.

So, if they do anything fed.gov doesn't say they can, they lose that immunity.

This goes well beyond the current "standard of care" stuff. You get a get-out-lawsuits free card.

Never underestimate how uninformed many professionals are, including doctors.

Low information people are the same everywhere. Most institutional physicians believe what the cdc tells them. They aren't really Mavericks which is why they are there. Nurses are worse because most of them aren't even trained to read research and understand statistics well enough to determine if a study's conclusions are even valid. Hell that is probably true of most physicians too.

Average number of work days in a year is around 260. Most full time teacher contracts in the state of Washington are for 184 days. Starting pay in our SD is 54k and we are on the low end in this state. Do the math.

probably true, but Dr Zelenko (and thousands? like him) gave the alternative, preventative, early treatments ... and are not being sued.

imo, or in my guess ... those doctors that withheld early prevention did harm, and just because they thought they were gaining legal immunity ... that might not actually hold them blameless. ...

(oh, yes, I heard of great results from early treatment, and those treatments were at worst harmless, but I chose to protect myself legally by following the crazy protocol of sending people home to get much worse, at which point we made great profits in the hospital, even when the patient died) The procedure was a financial success, BUT the patient died.
