16 some are starting to compare Biden with Lincoln. Lincoln ask for his generals to resign, hell he fired them. This poor guy Biden has no clue. In some ways I feel sorry for the fellow. He was robbed of the presidency just like Trump was.

Lincoln was a real president. If you F'ed him up he would fire your ass and he didn't give a damn about judges from afar. They didn't have Hawaiian judges back then.

There is a old line "act as if". This is what Biden should do but he is not capable. Trump should have done the same thing, but he was surrounded by enemies.

if you go to a library, and check out "The Great Courses". they use a Christian "Scholar" named Bart Ehrman. He is also an Atheist. I think that is one of the most cruel things so called scholars have inflicted on people just trying to learn about their faith.

There is one funny part of one video when the Atheist weirdos crown Ermann on year. At the end of the video he calls them the dolts that they are for denying Jesus existed. Even this atheist prick hated the pricks he was associated with.

37 I don't think I need to worry about flooding. My place was fine in Katrina and all the subsequent hurricanes; I'm fairly close to the river here (oddly, the higher ground is near the river) and the levees are solid. I'm just concerned with the power going out.

Homewood Suites/Hilton's website can give me a decent rate for a place on the 30th and 31st, but I can't find out what the window to cancel is. And right now it's "outside of normal business hours," so I can't ask anybody. I suppose I'd better make the reservation, then call back after 8 am and ask.

Posted by: Wolfus Aurelius at August 28, 2021 05:21 AM (+nNqu)

38 I dont like bart Erman, I think he is a prick because so many libraries use him as a "biblical" and Christian scholar. But here is one point where he said he had enough with the atheist dummies. These people make flat earther's look sound. start at the minute 50.

While it is vital to protect the constitutional right of freedom of expression for these groups, consistent with mission accomplishment, national security, and good order and discipline, its important to remember certain limitations. Yup. That was his point - he would rather speak out than be part of that dysfunction organization. He wanted others to see that they are not alone in rejecting the current leadership.

For a week now we've wondered why no one in Biden's team has resigned in shame. Well, this guy just showed them how it's done, of sorts -- not personal shame (because he's not responsible for the Afghan exit CF), but how to stand up and say "I will not be part of this." He made a show of it by publicly denouncing them and making them fire hiim.

he had 17 years. He was a battalion commander. He gave up more than many would for any reason. I believe in the chain of command. But this shows it is not working. This guy stood for something. He might have been wrong but I doubt it. Things are really this bad. There has to be a time when we reorient things or they are going to get worse.

if criticizing Milley is wrong, the the military is truly warped. There needs to be a major review and even that likely won't change things. If the hard left took over even the military, we are in big trouble.

I believe, with very few exceptions, such as our very own nevergiveup, the command ranks at and above 06 are all lefty. The NCO ranks at E9 coincide with the 06s. About 50 percent of the 05 and below as well as the same for E8 and below are lefty down to the 04 and E6 levels. After that, it's go___ to be the rank and file kods raised by loving parents such as Nurse's boy in the Marines and their peers. We still have hope.

the president always chose his chairman of the joint chiefs. That was always a political position at the whim of the president. But there is something really weird here. The Sargent Major of the Army? Men who command everything? I hope people realize how new this is and and warped this is. There betters are retired and in graves. They would slap the shit out of these political hacks.

i think back over decades of this stuff when we warned the worst could happen. It seemed fake in some ways, we knew it was real but the reality of it seemed on election afar. That they have taken the military shows nothing is sacrosanct. All the worst ideas happened. At this point I am at a loss. I do know we have good people in the service. 167 we were talking about political generals during the Civil war in a previous thread. The worst you can say about those guys is they were out of their league and they wanted to represent their party. Some wanted personal aggrandizement, North and South. They would bicker about time in service and who was superior to whom.

But they never lost the cause, North or South. The politics were raging and in the North it was worse in some ways. But never were they more focused on remaking America than they were on winning the war. Today you have many who think the military is some type of Lefty experiment. Even the worst Generals during the Civil War wanted to crush the enemy. Many were incapable but at least that was their aim.

177 Stop pretending there are variants. Al Qaeda = Taliban = ISIS = ISIS K = whatever other bullsh*t you want to use to attempt to distract from current events.

More importantly, Biden and his team did this on purpose. Full stop. Remember Obama's Arab Spring and Muslim Brotherhood support?

He told our allies in June that we'd be supporting them through the withdrawal so their people and embassies would be safe. It was a purposeful lie to prevent them from being able to bring in additional support, make appropriate plans, and maintain order in the region.

Biden and the people in control of Biden WANTED this, and they got it. Wildly successful, matter of fact.

Proof is in my name field link.

184 college football might be the most capitalist thing around. The best players go there because they win. They win because the best players go there. It sounds like something that can never change but the opposite is the case really.

I remember when Nebraska was always in the top five. They had the best offensive lineman and that made a mark. My school did great, but in the bowls they couldn't stand up to Nebraska.

THese things change a lot more than they used to. Nebraska did their thing but gave up on an NFL offense. Texas focused on recruiting and not much else. Now they are in a weakened league and trying to figure out what to do. I guess it is good that teams need to figure a way forward and not simply look back at past glories.

I checked the net and it basically sucks. It means fighting to the end, it means giving everything in battle while you are retreating.

The technical term is how cannoneers would fire their weapons in retreat, and reorient the weapons using the blow back and cords. They would fire and use the blow back to retreat, The cords would align the weapon.

When someone is retreating en prolonge, they are giving you the F you signal. They are saying I will leave, but I am going to leave everything on the battlefield.

I misspoke there. I think most commanding officers think leaving these weapons is sick.

259 Nebraska, under Devaney and Osborne kept the coaching staff constant. By the time of Solich, those coaches were old and tired and not trying. My brother's punter got a coaches visits and full ride to the PAC10, and a "hey. Walk on and we'll find you a scholarship by the time you're a redshirt sophomore." phone call from Nebraska. Callahan presented the same pro-style offense that 90% of us he country was using, recruiting for the same athletes, in a place 1500 miles from the nearest beach. The option game allowed Nebraska to get first choice for athletes with great but narrow talents. And moving to the Big 10/14 killed their major recruiting ground in Texas. They're now a bigger version of Wyoming.

272 According to the Left, any talk of biden resignation, impeachment, or 25th amendment cheapens those mechanisms for removing a president.

273 The LtCol even said he would be fired. He should have. He said what needed to be said and laid his rank on the table. The point is that is what the 3 and 4 stars should have done, laid their rank on the table and told Biden to stuff his plan.
But you can't have a functioning military where every swinging dick is free to question command. So he was rightfully fired.

Posted by: Cat Ass Trophy at August 28, 2021 07:48 AM (TayrX)

i agree, there needs to be a time out and massive retraining. A lot of Colonels and Generals need to retire. A lot of people teaching at war academies like the Naval War College, National War College, and Army War college need to retire.

that Lt.Col broke the trust. But he also said what is true and he risked more than any of us have done, at least in this circumstance. There is a point where someone has to call things out, there is a point, when enough is enough.

This guy was wrong, but was he wrong to call out Milley? At some point people need to say enough is enough. I would not be personally sad if this officer had a go fund me that took care of his family.

277 I think one of the reasons so many really poor decisions were made this past week with the Afghanistan shit show is that there are no leaders amongst the administration to coordinate things. Those behind the curtains, pulling the strings don't care and see the confusion and failure as a net positive for themselves.

Ultimately all this is on rezident retard. But he neither cares nor realizes it. None of his cabinet are worth a shit either and that seems to be the norm all the way down.

285 The phrase rule of thumb should be replaced with general rule, because the saying allegedly comes from an old British law allowing men to beat their wives with sticks no wider than their thumb.

But even Brandeis concedes that

no written record of this law exists today.

287 It is simply breathtaking to compare the daily competence, concern for country and communicative presence of mind of Biden and Trump. That no one within the allegedly educated and "enlightened" classes can see this continental-divide level contrast, or remark on its astonishing nature, is despairing for the country.

maybe so, but it was time someone said enough was enough. We have seen the "communism must win" tee shirts, we have seen the high heals for infantry soldiers. This guy Milley makes Clinton's head of The JCS,look like Patton. The military is in crisis, these soldiers are told to be leftists, something they have never been told to be before. But we ask these men and women to take it? We ask them to defend the nation and also be woke? No other soldier has ever been asked that.

i would wonder if my commander had my back if I said the wrong thing. I say he was wrong and he said he would pay the price, But about a hundred others need to do the same thing until the political military ends.

I am not at all defending the woke military. I don't doubt morale is low because of it. There needs to be accountability among military and civilian leadership for this debacle.

It is just absolutely necessary to follow the chain of command. What he did is no different from what the generals did that undermined Trump, except he did it on Facebook because he is going to run for Senate.

how do you know that? I think you are being very unfair here. This guy gave up a career when he was three years from getting a retirement for life. It is easy for both of us to opine, but then again, we could take him at his word.

How many times did I say he broke the rules? The modern military leaders break them all the time as they are all in on leftist democrat wokism.

They do whatever it takes to win and we play by rules that the other side disregards every fucking day. Get your head out of your ass and realize what is going on! Yeah, you are right. Better to keep quiet as more young men die for nothing because joe biden and his woke generals want a photo op for 9/11. Maybe one of our kids will be next to be sacrificed for the woke agenda, you would be ok with that, right?
