The Morning Report - 8/24/21

goalonggetalong.jpg

Good morning, kids. Tuesday and while the chaos in Afghanistan has normal people desperate to flee the dark age terror and tyranny that is at the black heart of Islam, a truly horrific story out of Australia, a land, people and culture I had thought was about as far away as you can get from the evils of Mohammedanism brought to mind the truly immortal words of 19th century German poet and essayist Heinrich Heine who prophetically wrote:

"Wo man bucher verbrennt, verbrennt man auch am ende menschen. Where they burn books, they will, in the end, burn human beings too."

I have to apologize in advance for even reporting this to you, but it's vital to know just how insane Australia has gone in their anti-COVID fight.

But in Australia's most populous state, New South Wales, several rescue dogs were shot dead last by local authorities. According to Angus Thompson in the Sidney Morning Herald, the rural Bourke Shire Council "killed the dogs to prevent volunteers at a Cobar-based animal shelter from travelling to pick up the animals."

A spokesman from Australia's Office of Local Government (OLG) said that they had "been informed that the council decided to take this course of action to protect its employees and community, including vulnerable Aboriginal populations, from the risk of COVID-19 transmission . . ."

. . . NSW Health reports there have been no locally acquired COVID-19 cases in Cobar in recent weeks.

Not deaths. Not even hospitalization. Not a single CASE. And for that, they shot dogs.

I feel sick."

Tell me about it. With all deference to Heine, all things considered, I do not think it's either hyperbole or irreverent to paraphrase him by stating "Where they shoot dogs, they will, in the end, shoot human beings too." And by shoot I don't mean vaccinate. I mean quite literally shoot. The same mentality that drove ordinary Germans and their accomplices in slaughtering millions of Jews first one by one by mass shooting and then by the thousands in the gas chamber is operating right here and now with this virus. The psychological warfare engendered by pimping a virus as lethal plague has now created mass hysteria to a degree that anyone who refuses to mask up, lock down and roll up a sleeve is viewed as an evil death-bringer.

The idea is no longer mainly to persuade people to get vaccinated but to punish them for not following orders. Authoritarianism is always done "for our own good," you see. Under totalitarian regimes, punishment camps are called "re-education" camps, to teach you how to be a better person in society.

The vax mandate is the natural progression from the kind of cruelty that has reigned through the pandemic. Whether it was screaming at unmasked people in low-risk situations outdoors or reporting your neighbors for gathering with friends and family, the severity with which we've treated each other has been intense. "We're better than those people" has been a hallmark of the pandemic among people who've actually been the worst.

We've turned a virus into a moral test. You can catch it even if you've masked, even if you've been vaccinated, but if you don't mask up and get jabbed, you deserve to be sick. We see that in the perverse glee of so many, like those now urging hospitals to delay or deny treatment to unvaccinated COVID patients. . .

. . . COVID is a political weapon, and cruelty is the point.

It is pointless to go through the litany about the nature of this virus and all viruses in general, the idiocy of masks, the efficacy of these vaccines or even the fact that the only person running a risk of illness is someone who is unvaccinated. Those who seek to destroy us have driven a large swathe of the population hysterical with fear that mirrors that of 14th century Europe, 17th century Salem and 1930s Germany. They do not want reason. They want conformity. And if they cannot get you to conform then you will be treated like a dog in Australia. Funny how dogs are considered half a step above Jews in the Islamic world but I digress. Then again, about the only differences between Islam and g-dless communism is the fancy calligraphy and geometric decorations. Remember that the word Islam translates into English as "submission." QED.

The Polish-Canadian pastor who faces a potential four-year jail sentence for holding church services in Calgary, Alberta, is warning Americans that the tyranny he saw growing up in communist Poland has spread to Western countries. . .

. . . Pawlowski, who was maced in the face, claimed that Portland police watched the incident from their cars and did nothing. The clash with Antifa marked a poignant episode in Pawlowski's speaking tour throughout the United States, during which he has been urging Americans to vigilantly guard the religious liberty he claims is quickly vanishing in Canada . . .

. . . Earlier this year, when a public health inspector arrived at his church with armed police during Holy Week to inspect the sanctuary during a service, Pawlowski drew international attention when he forcefully ejected them.

Within days, a motorcade of Calgary police pulled over Pawlowski and his brother on their way home from church. As they cuffed them in the middle of a busy highway and dragged them into police vans, Pawlowski called the officers "Gestapo psychopaths," a reference to the Nazi secret police.

Pawlowski, whose grandmother once hid under a mattress while a Nazi soldier raped another girl above her, does not use the term lightly . . .

. . . Pawlowski said his speaking tour is intended "to let Americans know that what's happening in Canada has already started to happen here, and is going to happen in the United States if Americans will not rise up." Because of their country's unique role in history, he warned that how Americans respond will bear consequences for the entire world. . .

. . . By sharing his story of what has happened to him through the years, Pawlowski hopes "to awaken as many people as possible that you are losing your liberties left and right. Canada used to be a free nation. It is no longer a free nation. It is under a totalitarian medical regime. And we need to rise up, stand up, and push this great evil away or else. . ."

. . . "The enemy is not hiding anymore," he said during a Facebook live stream of the event. "The enemy is in your face. The enemy is challenging you, just like the Philistines challenged the army of God. And, at that time, what they needed was David to come to understand that their God is bigger than the enemy's god. His God was a lot bigger. And if God is for us, who can be against us?"

Regarding the potential jail sentence that awaits him in his home country, Pawlowski remains unafraid. "Historically speaking, everyone that wanted to change something from tyranny to something that is free and beautiful had to face difficulties. ...And I decided that if no one else wants to pay the price, I'm willing to pay that price. I'm willing to be the voice for the voiceless, for the millions of people that are terrified, afraid of the tyranny. They're afraid to lose their jobs. They're afraid to lose their lives."

This is at the heart of the debate of whether one should or should not get vaccinated. It's not about a medical or even a public health issue. It's now a question of standing up to tyranny as an individual. Commenters and myself included are sick to death of pundits and authors going on about taking a stand and doing something. Well my friends, this is where the rubber meets the road. Even if you did get vaccinated, if they want to see your papers, refuse. If you are a business owner, refuse to cooperate in demanding to see papers.

Easier said than done as you could face revocation of licenses, fines and even jail time. But that's what this is all about. Knuckle under, crawl, grovel and beg for them not to hit you in the face or stand up to this no matter the consequences. Upwards of half the nation has not gotten the vaccine and evidently at least a third will refuse to take it. If this illegal regime and its cronies in and out of government decide to force this on the nation as it seems they are, they will quite literally destroy the economy. That leaves them no other option than forcible vaccination. And that is a line that they are getting dangerously close to crossing.

Yes, there's a shit-ton of madness going on with the Afghanistan situation but this here is what it's all about. Die on your feet or crawl on your knees?

NOTE: The opinions expressed in some links may or may not reflect my own. I include them because of their relevance to the discussion of a particular issue.

14 The Aussies should be ashamed. One thing foreigners despise is when Americans are disappointed in them. I recall when all of Spain went Ape shit because an American leader questioned their leaving Iraq and compared it to Bullfighters. The same with the Aussies. if we talk about Crocodile Dundee, the rugged Outback, or God forbid, Breaker Morant, they will freaking lose it.

These guys gave up their guns decades ago. Americans think highly of them but for the most part, it is based on folklore.

Be nice to her, though. The vaccine has broken so many people's brains.

I have no doubt she's struggling with what's she's done - and will have to continue doing indefinitely - to her body, and for nothing. She outright admitted to you that her vaccine doesn't do anything. She knows it. She thinks about it every day, and is making lifelong relationship choices based on it.

35 The Australian dog-killers remind me of a detail of Nazi life - before the Nazis actually got around to murder, they encircled Jews with tighter and tighter rules. "Forbidding" rules, listing all the things Jews *weren't allowed* to do. We think of big things like owning property, running businesses, shopping at normal stores, but there was no detail too tiny for the tyrants not to wring some cruelty out of. One of them was that Jews were not allowed to own pets. Just like that. No reason for it, because tyrants don't have to give REASONS for what they do. This is where we're heading, and I think we'll get there faster than the Third Reich did. The rules are now being drawn up to punish the non-compliant, for no reason than because to the rulers, there's nothing we don't deserve, and so there's nothing out of bounds to do to us. They'll get to killing eventually, but we're now at the sadistic torture stage.

50 COVID is a political weapon, and cruelty is the point.
++++
Case in point: my experience yesterday. Some of you know that my mom is in the hospital for a minor operation. It is done, but was harder than they expected (a 90 minute surgery went on for four hours). My dad was with her, and I went to the hospital after work. I got there before they had her assigned to a room for her overnight stay. The hospital is back to their full-blown "COVID protocols."

The wayfinding at this hospital isn't great in the first place, and following the meager signage from the parking structure to the main hospital led to a door that was closed and locked, with a sign saying that the entrance was closed. No directions to another entrance, no apologies, just "closed."

Forty minutes of wandering finally led to the COVID-controlled entrance (the only public entrance) with a check-in table staffed by contractors. They have only surnames in the computer system they can access, no given names. So they couldn't tell me where my mom was and they refused to let me in. (con't)

Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at August 24, 2021 06:51 AM (Jsjd7)

51 (con't) They sent me away. I called the hospital switchboard to inquire, and they told me where she was but that her room was not assigned yet. I went back to check-in with my aunt. They would only let one person up to see her (they didn't know someone was already there). We decided my aunt would go instead of me, and I would head up once mom had a room.

So I asked where I could wait. The contractor at the check-in desk told me I had to wait outside. In the 90 degree, high-humidity heat. Alternatively, I could wait in the hot vestibule between the outside and the check-in desk, on one of three plastic folding chairs, until my mom had been moved to her assigned room. I opted for that.

An hour of wandering with poor wayfinding and no secondary directions after they closed all but one entrance, a bureaucratic nightmare, people with disparate information, arbitrary rules, surly staff and an open-ended wait in an environment that envies the DMV for its comfort.

At least her actual doctors and nurses seemed competent and had good bedside manner. Until one of the three of us had to leave because COVID rules are "two visitors only for inpatient." So I hugged my mom and went home.

My father was a good example. Docs told him if he didn't stop drinking he would be dead in 10 years. But he didn't want to live 20-30 more years sober, and that's HIS call to make, not some Nazi Karen's.

--
They would only let one person up to see her..
--

I said it a year ago and I'll say it again today.

THIS is what was killing half of the old people in nursing homes. They were locked in their rooms alone and afraid and kept separated from the people who loved them (and often the only people who gave a sh*t whether they ate anything or not), and they just gave up.

The Nazis had one flavor, the Soviets another, the Chinese a third, etc. - but it is *always* the same. This is how totalitarianism works, and how it will always work. Those systems need scapegoats and victims. Once selected, those scapegoats and victims will have the noose tightened on them in all dimensions until they can't tighten it anymore. Then the scapegoats and victims are slaughtered en masse.

But even the rest of the people can't rest easy. The attacks and controls on the designated victims - for the good of society, of course - will be applied to the rest of them, too - usually within a few minutes of their implementation. Today they come for unvaxxed. Tomorrow they come for the rest of them.

In a fascinating coincidence, that same study tied those foods to what would stop Global Warming, and you'll never believe how unhealthy meat is. You'll die before you're 25 years old.

Of course. Life is a high-risk exercise. There are things that can be done to mitigate that risk, but everything involves a price and a trade-off. Cloistering yourself in a bubble, eating engineering foods with perfect vitamin and protein balances, never going out, never breathing untreated air, never handling a sharp object, never driving or riding in a car or airplane, etc. - this may well keep you alive for a long time by minimizing risk. But with what cost to quality of life, to joy, to learning?

Everyone has always - and will always - make their own risk calculations. We probably make them hundreds of times a day. This morning I had a third slice of bacon with breakfast. I wanted it. It made me happy. It wasn't the healthiest choice. I don't care.

No. You'll always get it. Effective vaccines let your immune system respond immediately so you don't get sick. Good vaccines let your immune system respond immediately so you don't get sick and so the pathogen doesn't spread (sterilizing vaccines).

The COVID vaccines are certainly not good because they don't sterilize. They appear to be effective, but not for very long.

Remember the terror of the "asymptomatic carrier" thing from last year? The thing that led to mask mandates? The thing that turns out to be exceedingly rare in reality? Yeah, well the vaccines make it a lot more likely. Vaccinated people will get the virus but won't get sick - but the vaccines are non-sterilizing and so they can - and will - spread it.

No, this isn't the point. Consider this: according to their laws and their government procedures, there *was* nothing wrong with what they did. They were fully correct, fully justified, fully legal, and doing great work.

This is one reason why the "reality is on paper, everything else is hearsay" attitude is so dangerous. Just because it's legal, it doesn't mean it's right. Just because the state structure says so, doesn't mean it is.

Posted by: Too Bad Costa Rica Sucks at August 24, 2021 06:37 AM (oWBc3)

The "wailing and gnashing of teeth" is because this is normalizing. Anyone can understand shooting a rabid dog who is tearing out the throat of a child. But to shoot - repeatedly - dogs who pose no threat, who look up at you with utter love and devotion in their eyes through the moment you put a bullet in their brains is to lower your moral bar.

Shooting dogs is purposely designed to nudge you to willingly shoot people. I cannot make it any clearer than that.

Ideally, the bastards responsible for this would now be struing up from lampposts, each with the picture of a dead dog nailed to their chests. But no-one will do that. And that is the only way to stop these bloodthirsty bastards cold.

Someone in the ONT said it will take guillotines in the streets of Australia to stop this. It will take the same here.

134 The killing of animals to prevent people from caring for them is just one more abhorrent check on their descent and might be something to get people to wake up

--

It will wake some people up. Millions of people look at their own dogs as part of the family. We mourn them when they die as if we've lost a family member, a child, a best friend. The shooting of these poor dogs is feeling very personal to a lot of people. They're not shooting recalcitrant people yet, but this hits very close to home in just how very shocking this Covid insanity is manifesting.

Liability that is backstopped by the federal vaccine liability fund. If there are problems - and it appears that there are and if the ADE fears come to fruition then there will be very serious problems - then it will be back to the well and they'll issue more bonds to cover it - punishing all to pay for it.

Not to mention how hairy liability is going to be. What if you have trouble after your booster in the FDA approval era, but you had the first two doses under the EUA? What if your first does was EUA but your second was FDA approved? What if your first two doses are FDA approved but the booster is EUA (it's unclear how this will work yet)?

No one knows. It's a snarled mess. Calvinball.

That phrase is one of the few times I've laid down the law, hard and with no exceptions. I had a coworker once. We were friendly. He didn't drive (poor vision) and sometimes needed to hitch a ride home. We lived in the same general area, so I'd give him a lift on those days. He was also an old-school soft socialist, but we were chummy enough.

One day on the drive to his house, he started prattling on about "The Greater Good" (tm). I told him, "That is an evil phrase and attitude. The ends do not justify the means, they never have and they never will. Now you have to make a choice. This is my car, and my time. You will never say that again while you are beholden to me. If you do, I will stop and you will get out. You can walk home and never ask me for anything again."

He didn't ever mention it again in my presence. I felt kind of bad about it at the time. I was harsher than I needed to be. I don't feel bad about it now.

I understand, I'm much the same way. I still go through spells of it frequently, even if it doesn't have quite the hold on me that it used to. The trick to breaking it, for me, was to discover something that made the depression a liar. Once you render it false, it's easier to recognize and dispel. (Not perfect, but easier).

For me, it was that I don't actually hate my life. I hate the world. I hate false people, bullies, and power games. I hate abusive bosses and HR departments.

Everything I hate is external to myself and my person. When I'm by myself, in a safe place, playing video games or reading, I'm happy as a clam. Throw in some good discussion with people who don't suck and I'm never better.

273 No, this isn't the point. Consider this: according to their laws and their government procedures, there *was* nothing wrong with what they did. They were fully correct, fully justified, fully legal, and doing great work.

Exactly right. People are so uneducated today, they have a cartoon vision of the Nazis as just spontaneously erupting geysers of evil. If you'd been there and ASKED them why they were doing what they were doing - laws against Jews, killing the handicapped, medical experimentation on humans - they'd have been able to give you lots and lots of well thought out reasons for their actions. They had it all worked out. They even used health protection as a justification for a lot of what they did. Just like the Soviets, they were worshippers of Science, and could trot out any number of studies and statistics to prove what they were doing made sense.

Now, at some level, many of them knew this was all wrong. That they went to such lengths to hide their atrocities shows that they sensed they were doing evil. But when you have a government and mass population all yelling propaganda non-stop, it helps to drown out those doubts and keeps the machine moving.

296 JJ, I was doing some reading yesterday and two things just stood up and slapped me in the face:

First off, Carl Jung (The Symbolic Life) speaking on how easily mass psychosis could decimate a population, ala the Salem Witch trials:

'Indeed, it is becoming ever more obvious that it is not famine, not earthquakes, not microbes, not cancer but man himself who is man's greatest danger to man, for the simple reason that there is no adequate protection against psychic epidemics, which are infinitely more devastating than the worst of natural catastrophes.'

In other words, a society gripped by mass fear is massively dangerous to itself

And then Joost Meerlo, who wrote A Rape of the Mind, documenting brainwashing techniques in a Totalitarian state, showing how waves of fear and them calm primes a society for totalitarian rule (sound familiar?)

The parallels to today are scary as hell.

The primary defense against this used to be isolation. The Salem Witch Trials, for example, were bad for Salem (and became an object lesson for all) - but the disease didn't spread out of Salem.

Thanks to our interconnectedness, mass-scale communications, government/corporate interference, etc. the disease can spread quickly and easily. Add into it that the internet - and social media in particular - has created a fourth type of communication with which we are utterly unfamiliar, and shit's going weird faster and bigger than I would have thought possible when I was a teenager.

Extremely true and apropos, as social media has given people with nefarious intent the tool with which to inject fear and thoughts into a extremely large portion of society. The people themselves are addicted to the dopamine that comes from social media, so they willingly head for the hit, just like the rats who shunned all food and water for cocaine in the infmaous experiment.

Social media is their tool, and I cannot yell loudly enough how people should avoid it like the plaque.

_____________

Not true in all cases.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, fully vaccinated, recently announced that he'd gotten sick again after being infected a second time with covid.

Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Jackson, both fully vaccinated, both had to be hospitalized after they got infected by the covid virus again.

That recent Israeli study showed that of those in the hospital there for covid symptoms, over 60% had previously been vaccinated.

The vaccines do not guarantee that you won't get sick if you get infected by the virus a second time. They do not guarantee that you won't have to go to the hospital, and they do not guarantee that you won't die from the covid virus if you get it a second time. Lots of fully vaccinated people have died from covid.

During the call, the president alluded to the 'Black Hawk Down' tragedy of the Somali Civil War, which saw 18 US personnel killed.

I agree. Here's what I don't know, though, and it is impossible to find out although I think it might be important: if social media weren't rigidly controlled by political partisans, would it be any better? Would it be differently worse?

No clue, but it's an entirely new form of communication we have never had before in human history and we don't know how to deal with it - or if we can deal with it. We've always had three kinds before: one-on-one (a conversation), one-on-many (a lecture or address) and many-on-one (a petition, a protest, etc.). Now we have many-on-many - something that was never possible before because it has to be mediated and enabled through our technology and that technology didn't exist. No one know hows many-on-many works, and if we can deal with it even if the platforms were honest.

385 "You do not shun people, ban them from public spaces, mock them as idiots, deny them gainful employment -- and life-saving surgery -- out of concern for their well-being."
It's become clear to me that the various mandates are almost purely punitive at this point, and I think that quote is a good, pithy summary. It seems like another example of the projection of the Never-Trumpers and Democrats. Sure, there were the Tweets, but remember how "Cruel" Trump was for enacting his "travel ban"? And his border control? etc., ad infinitum? Now that the self proclaimed kind people have the power, I think we get to see what cruelty really looks like.

Lots of fully vaccinated people have died from covid.

a well fit N-95 might do something, but nobody is wearing those. One study says by far the most particles emitted are under one micron, another said the average size is ~5 microns. ... In any case, for most masks, the air goes around, not through the mask.

What I really want to know .. how long does covid survive in an aerosol? Temp and humidity and sunlight I guess are all factors, but we should have definitive answers to this ... if we do, I have not seen them. ... Protect the vulnerable, let healthy people be free and they will (already have?) develop herd immunity as always happens.

392 The Australian and New Zealand 'governments' are criminally stupid. They may be following an extreme version of the 'science of COVID protection,' but they are not looking at the scientific real-world evidence in the rest of the world.

The real-world science is that the COVID bugs laugh at lockdowns, unless you have an extreme, social and economic-life destroying lockdown forever. Do those idiots plan extreme lockdowns until a 100 percent effective vaccine against all known and future unknown variants is available? Good luck with that.

400 Lots of fully vaccinated people have died from covid.

Based on the numbers we have COVID is somewhat more fatal then the jabs.

But...that's just the short term consequences, since essentially all the testing done starts with when they started jabbing people at the end of last year.

It is possible that for everyone, and for younger people certain at this point, that the COVID jabs are lowering the average human life span.

414 There are a few fundamental and very unusual issues with the FDA approval. First the testing was done based on the first shot, there is some data on the second and virtually none on the third. They also have NOT completed studies on myocarditis, pregnancy and other conditions. They also apparently dropped their placebo group that was part of the testing because they felt "ethically" they should be vaccinated. That's never been done. OK, so how can we actually study real outcomes? Long term outcomes? You sit, wait and don't get it. Let everyone else be the test group.

420 I got the vaccine (J&J) and I thought I was making an informed decision. I knew I didn't want an MRNA vaccine as they are too new, unproven, and rewrite your DNA. J&J and Novavax are closer to traditional vaccines and their technology has been around and used much longer. Still not as safe as your traditional weakened/dead virus vaccines, which are coming but take much longer for some reason. Probably not as high a profit margin.
Anyway you don't encourage people to take a vaccine when you short circuit your own testing procedures so that it's easier to force people to take it. Especially when in the past you've suspended vaccines with a fraction of the adverse side effects we've seen with these. This demented push to jab all of us by people who obviously don't give a shit about us is the prime reason no one wants the jab, and many of us who got the jab are seriously questioning just what it was they actually put in us.
