The Quotes of The Day

Quote I

‘My partner and I had only purchased the home in December so to say our hearts broke when we saw inside is an understatement.’Chelsea Hingston

Quote II

“Every time that the variant appears in the world, our scientists are getting their hands around it. They are researching to see if this variant can escape the protection of our vaccine. We haven’t identified any yet but we believe that it is likely that one day, one of them will emerge.”Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla

Quote III

“The change in policy, we had no choice — the short answer is banks,”OnlyFans founder and CEO Tim Stokely

Quote IV

These dopey pundits were not actually influential leaders of men. Or women, for that matter.

Don't you forget it. Emerald Robinson

Quote V

“We absolutely have to have a vaccine mandate. It’s for the safety of all involved, particularly members of the public who are interacting with city employees on a daily basis. It’s important for colleagues to also feel like they have a workplace that is safe,” Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot

If he had cognitive skills, Uncle Paste Eater would think he was having a bad week.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday rebuffed President Biden’s request to halt a lower court order that revives the Trump-era “Remain in Mexico” border policy, effectively forcing the new administration to have to push illegal immigrants back across the border.

The justices issued a brief order saying Mr. Biden and his team failed to show they were likely to succeed in their challenge to the district judge’s ruling that Homeland Security acted arbitrarily in revoking the policy, officially known as the Migrant Protection Protocols.

Six justices, all GOP appointees, backed the lower court judge. The three Democrat-appointed justices sided with Mr. Biden

RIP Rolling Stones' Charlie Watts.

Charlie Watts was never a flashy drummer.

Unlike John Bonham and Keith Moon, he never spilled all over his kit in a drunken, dangerous tightrope act on the verge of tumbling down on his band. Instead, Watts had quietly anchored the Rolling Stones for more than five decades, serving as their terrific rhythm section's key component, a solid and understated drummer whose love of jazz informed nearly every one of his professionally played beats.

Gonorrhea Lectim

The Center for Disease Control has issued a warning about a new virulent strain of this old disease! The disease is called Gonorrhea Lectim. It's pronounced "Gonna re-elect'em", and is capable of crippling our current population.

The disease is contracted through dangerous and high-risk behavior involving putting your cranium up your rectum. Many victims contracted it in 2020 when they elected Joe Biden and Liberal Progressives into power and are only now starting to realize how destructive this sickness is.

It is sad because Gonorrhea Lectim is easily cured with a new drug just coming on the market called Votemout. It is pronounced "Vote-em-out". It can be picked up at your local pharmacy without a doctor's prescription. You take the first dose now as a Federal election can be called at any time. The second dose should be taken just before the 2022 elections, otherwise Gonorrhea Lectim could eventually wipe out all life as we presently know it in the USA .

Please pass this important message on to all the bright folks you really care about.

While we are talking about elections. I know you won't be shocked to know that Bill "I Can't Suck Enough D*ck" Kristol is voting for one more democrat.

Never Trumper Bill Kristol proudly announces that he’s now enorsing a Democrat for governor, proving that his descent into becoming a Democrat wasn’t just related to Trump:

As your humble Cob I am happy to announce there is no such thing as voter fraud.

A California man was discovered asleep in his car in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven store in Torrance with drugs, cash, and several drivers’ licenses, according to ABC7

Oh… I nearly forgot. There were about 300 unopened recall election ballots in the car.

Taken together, it’s an interesting picture, don’t you think?

Having 300 ballots in your possession is suspicious. Having the ballots AND several drivers’ licenses clearly establishes intent to commit voter fraud.

“Last night, officers responded to a male subject passed out in a vehicle in the 7-11 parking lot,” the Torrance Police Department wrote on Facebook.

“Officers learned he was a felon & located Xanax pills on him. Officers continued their investigation and discovered a loaded firearm, methamphetamine, thousands of pieces of mail, a scale & multiple CA drivers licenses and credit cards in other individuals’ names.”

If you are traveling in the middle of nowhere and end up in the ditch. You are stranded. It doesn't matter if you have a cell phone. You are stranded until help arrives. Unfortunately White House Spokes Ditz Jen Psaki doesn't know the definition of "stranded".

The Biden White House often appears to have its own version of reality when it comes to events in the news, which is a risky enough adventure given the growing concerns about the cognitive decline of President Joe Biden, but his spokeswoman really pushed the limits Monday on spinning the truth.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki scoffed at Fox News White House reporter Peter Doocy during Monday’s briefing when he referenced American citizens being stranded in Afghanistan.

Not only did Psaki push back hard to insist the reportedly thousands of Americans still in Kabul who are finding it all but impossible to get to the airport to be evacuated are not stranded, she said it was “irresponsible” to suggest that they are.

Negligent homicide of thousand of nursing home residents isn't enough to have an Emmy stripped away. But a little grab ass is.

The organization behind the International Emmys rescinded former New York governor Andrew Cuomo’s Emmy award on Tuesday.

The International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced that “in light of the New York Attorney General’s report, and Andrew Cuomo’s subsequent resignation as governor, it is rescinding his special 2020 International Emmy® Award.”

California continues to bleed employers. Once again Texas cashes in.

Forgive us if we sound like a broken record, but the exodus of California businesses out of the state to more affordable and competitive economic climates grew worse last week.

The Los Angeles Times reports that the latest corporate headquarters to announce their departure is AECOM, the global engineering and construction firm.

According to the times, “a company spokesperson said AECOM is moving because ‘Dallas has emerged as a U.S. hub for corporate headquarters and a compelling corporate talent magnet, particularly among our peers and public companies in the engineering and consulting sectors.’”

Though 2,500 employees will remain at AECOM’s California locations across the state, the CEO and C-Suite will relocate to Texas on October 1. The company has 47,000 employees worldwide.

Can't sit? Eventually those feet are going to fail.

Kazumi Squirts, not her real name, has spent a lot of money on her look but it's certainly paid off thanks to her Instagram.

The 24-year-old, who lives in Miami, US, shelled out $20,000 (£14,400) for a Brazilian butt lift which has left her unable to sit down.

She's struggled with her body for years, having been told to lose weight by beauty pageant judges as a teenager.

But since growing up, the model has turned her attention to plastic surgery to achieve her desired look.

The beauty said: "I'd always been super insecure about my size and had tried everything to lose weight.

"I was skinny growing up but when I turned 19 I entered a beauty pageant and it was the first time my look had been scrutinised."

If you had plans to go to the NRA Convention in Houston: Forget about it.

The number of big gun manufacturers and other major exhibitors that have pulled out of the National Rifle Association’s Annual Meeting and Exhibits was too much. Losing big names like Rurger, SIG Sauer, FN, Browning, Springfield and many others meant that most of the biggest draws for the tens of thousands of NRA members would be missing.

So, given the realities of exhibitor cancellations and the challenges of Covid, the NRA has announced that the 150th anniversary NRAAM Scheduled for September 3, 4 and 5 in Houston has been cancelled. It’s another big financial hit for the association, the second consecutive convention that’s been cancelled due to Covid.

22 Just started watching the series Counterpart.

Episode 3 starts with a woman watching a preview before a movie, and well i'm sure to people 2017 it was creepy and authoritarian, but today many would cheer it.

It was a PSA about getting vaccinated, wearing masks, staying at a distance, reporting in those who are sick so they can be jailed, and pretty much everything we've seen in the last year and a half, including using the phrase "don't do it for your own health do it for the health of your neighbor"

It was almost unsettling how they either predicted the government's actions almost perfectly, or ended up being the playbook for all those in power/media who know nothing beyond tv shows and movies.

Oh yeah it's on Amazon and we know Bezos is so squeaky clean in this.

26 Thanks for the ONT.

I am always sad at ruins- even though I am fascinated by them. I remember seeing a picture set from urban explorers in Detroit showing office buildings with the roof caved in, moss growing on the desks. I always think: who worked there? Who poured their life into that company? Who left a coffee stain (invisible now) on that desk blotter. What would the cleaning ladies who maintained the building in it's hey day think of it now.

Fen mentioned last night how she found Churches converted to Mosques sad. I agree, but it is slightly different. The one might have had hundreds of years of work and blood sweat and prayers of the faithful and was surrendered. The examples above were just abandoned. Temples to humanity, left to rot.

Nothing so nefarious. A few months ago, OnlyFans began laying the groundwork for a legitimate IPO, and once all the lawyers and financiers got involved, it was only a matter of time until they would be forced into the mainstream. Too many liability issues in the adult entertainment space in terms of illegal video, human trafficking, coerced content, etc. There's no realistic way to police everything on the platform without hiring thousands and thousands of moderator monkeys, and even then, that's not a sustainable business model in a world of algorithms.

I still find it hard to believe that the Deep State and Globalist reaction to the election of Donald Trump was to destroy the West and turn the US into a vassal of the CCP.

Sure, but what I don't understand about all of this is the Deep State and Globalists are of The West, if there is no longer a West, then the Deep State and Globalists will ipso facto no longer exist or have any power.

I guess it could be chalked up to demonic possession.

This sucker is great. Sure you have to bend over and pick it up repeatedly, but it does beat running a vacuum yourself. W/ 2 dogs and a cat this does a very thorough job. You send it on it's way and you can go do something else other than vacuuming. I'd recommend it to any Morons over 29.

Episode 3 starts with a woman watching a preview before a movie, and well i'm sure to people 2017 it was creepy and authoritarian, but today many would cheer it.

Posted by: Rbastid at August 24, 2021 09:06 PM (B2qUs)

That show existed in a weird, liminal place between quality and woke, largely because of how good Olivia Williams and JK Simmons were at playing two characters each - seriously, Simmons in particular did the best dual-identity performance since Christopher Reeves as Superman and Clark Kent. I enjoyed both seasons of the show despite the STARZ-mandated sex scenes every other episode, but I'm glad the show was cancelled when it was, because it'd be garbage by now if it was still going on.

As for the PSA, it's amazing how much the show predicted, and how the writers wouldn't have been allowed (and probably wouldn't even have wanted) to write the exact same storyline three years later. Much like the Stargate SG-1 episode which had a storyline about a fake vaccine - not a chance in the world you could make it today, regardless of what its political polarity was at the time.

It makes a certain amount of sense. I can't remember where I read it, but several months ago I saw a quick bit where someone (probably a woman) was claiming that she'd reported a video that supposedly had her in it to Pornhub, and asked them to take it down, but nothing had happened. If that sort of thing is happening often, then it would be in the best interests of companies such as Pornhub to have a way of stopping anonymous people from posting video of their most recent one night stands online.

Usually what's always left out of those stories is how the girl was doing stuff while at work or in uniform. There was an article a year or so ago about a female mechanic with an OnlyFans that got fired. And they wanted it to be about the awful car dealership that fired her. Then you read that they merely cautioned her and were coming down on other employees bugging her about it. What got her fired was posting nudes where her uniform is visible, you know like flashing her tits. And some may have been photographed at work.

Yeah it was obvious decades ago the federal finances were beyond fooked. So then it became a question of how they would "handle" that. Also obvious they would inflate away their obligations. A lot of things that are obvious now, I didn't anticipate. At all.

It looks like in general terms though they've opted for iron control over at least some segments of the population (assuming the tin-foil hat brigade crowd is incorrect, and they aren't planning on killing everyone right away).

None of this shit is going to "work" for any length of time so it's a matter of time.

I think that there are quite a few gals that have chosen this particular side hustle, so there are probably a lot of stories similar to this. Someone used to making $20 an hour, and then making $300,000 a month for a few hours in front of a camera modeling could be blinded not to follow tax laws. The IRS doesn't care about how you made the money, just want to be certain they get their share.

387 To answer someone up above, no, the budget resolution passing the House doesn't guarantee anything. It's not appropriations. It sets ceilings within budget function categories.

But it is a calamity, in every respect. And reflects how far gone (all the way gone) the country is, in that the idiotic Speaker can "brag" about the stupid and disastrous provisions by comparing it, favorably, to the catastrophic "Great Society" debacle. Generations of degradation, misery, waste, and dependency, corruption, failure.

It cannot be filibustered in the Senate (privileged matter). One it's most outlandish idiocies, amnesty, might be removed via it being found non-germane by the Senate parliamentarian (but in Paraguay, as we now are, I expect this too to fail - no offense to Paraguay, they might be at or above our level by now).

But it doesn't actually spend a dime. That's appropriations, later. All those matters *can* be filibustered in the Senate.

390 Or go bankrupt and jam down the bond holders, slash pensions and social security and fire a couple hundred thousand essential personnel

Well they already are bankrupt. They won't jam bondholders, at least foreigners. They'll jam social security recipients first. "Private" pensions are toast. A lot of state constitutions have it written right in there, that state employee pensions are sacosanct and must be paid over all else.

That should be worth a bucket of popcorn or two right there alone. Yeah, I just wondered how they were going to "manage the decline" with all those unfunded liabilities.

When you realize that they have probably decided if they can kill off all the "unfunded liabilities" the numbers look a lot better, it makes sense. There isn't enough money in the world to pay off all the shit they've spit out, and it isn't even close.

The fact the gubbmint in the guise of congress is acting like teenagers with a stolen credit card on acid tells me they've long ago stopped planning on any sanity. It's just a bustout operation at this point and has been since the 1980s

I'm seeing something similar in my extended family. Elderly relative who used to have a huge machine shop and is now in the mid stage of dementia and is working with family to liquidate most of his stuff while he's still around to help value it. His son has just taken a lot of the stuff without getting permission, and other relatives have robbed him blind too. That, combined with the dementia, have made him super paranoid now. Reminds me of when I went to an estate sale in the neighborhood a while back. Obviously it was the grandkids in charge of liquidating the estate, and they thought they were sitting on some kind of diamond mine. I was interested in some old C64s and 1541 drives that I had no idea if they worked. They scoffed at my reasonable offer, and the dickhead-in-charge looked up an eBay listing for a vintage C64 that I can only assume was in great shape and verified working, then jacked up the offer to some ridiculous level. It was so far from reality that I literally put the stack of gear down and just walked away.

Okay, I think I've finally figured out how this FDA sort-of-approval approval works.

Now, by law, if there is an approved treatment, then any EUAs are void, so this would seem to invalidate all the other EUA vaccines. Well, the letter of the law is approved and "adequately available" or some such shit.

So, by defining the approval for a new legal entity named "Comirnaty" (but the same Pfizer ClotShot(TM) we're familiar with, they can claim, legally, that Comorbidity is "not adequately available", so they can continue with the all the other EUAs.

Clever bastards, aren't they? Violate the spirit of the law by following the letter.

His wife is still alive and has her full faculties. In fact, said son (not hers, she is his stepmom) has been attacking her as being incapable of managing the household finances and the liquidation, I assume as an opening gambit in order to try to seize more control for himself. I always knew he was a drunk-ass, social-climbing, bullshit artist, but I didn't think he would stoop that low. I'll end with saying that the couple's will has been amended multiple times over the last few years, for very good reason. 439 One thing not mentioned, the reason in ordinary times vaccine manufacturers are not held liable, is the most common vaccinations were off patent, and not super profitable, eventually, fewer and fewer companies were willing to manufacture them any longer. Not with the huge liability exposure.

Like it or not, if they rolled out a Saline solution mandate, out of 330 million people, probably a few would die. These make for juicy lawsuits for the bottom feeders. That's how pharmaceutical companies got their "immunity".

None of this applies here and now however. This is a new virus, and a brandy spankin' new vaccine. They stand to make a lot of money.

So why the immunity from wrongful death lawsuits, or being injured? How about life insurance policies?

Does life insurance pay off for getting hit with a chinese manufactured bioweapon? I bet they have exclusions for that, get right down to it. How about death or injury from experimental, emergency use only vaccines?

Ten bucks says the fine print says somethin' somethin' about testing in experimental medical trials.

443 >> How about death or injury from experimental, emergency use only vaccines?

That's actually a separate thing, which was established under some law the Shrub signed in 2005. Pharma lobbied heavily for it.

The is the VICP, the vaccine injury compensation program which was established by the original law that gave Pharma immunity. It's "funded" by an excise tax on every vaccine administered. To make a claim there, you have to have hard proof. There is some process for that. The bar is high. They pay out, of late, about $200M per year or so, and have paid out a total of $4B over the life of the program.

This is a "no fault" system. The bar is high, but not insurmountable. If you have a valid claim that a vaccine caused injury, they pay.

Now, that 2005 law established a concept of "countermeasures" to a biological attack or other public health crisis. Covid has been defined as such a thing.

The "vaccines" fall under a "countermeasure". Injuries from "countermeasures" fall under a CICP, countermeasures injury compensation program. There is no funding for it. And the bar is much, much higher. You've got to file a claim in the DC circuit, and the bar is very high.

It's so high, it's doubtful anything could pass it.

447 The vaccine thing...why ARE they pushing it so so hard? To the point that they are risking really serious pushback. Perhaps even the turning of their force projection organizations. Although it doesn't seem to work for the purpose it is supposed to, it doesn't look like the death rates are high enough for it to be a viable depopulation move, as such a thing would have to work fast if the perpetrators expected to come through alive. Is it a money grab only? Some sort of control acclimation which actually does more to promote distrust than control? Just another pharma failure where they had good intentions but whoopsie so they are trying to save face by making everyone take it then claim it fixed things? We have reached a point of low institutional trust where I really can't 100% believe anything from anybody that I haven't personally verified.

Some people map it out like this: "Vaccine Mandate, Vaccine "Passports". The control mechsnism is there for "Social Credit Scores".

The totalitarians want complete control over you, whether you can obtain food, water, travel, housing, medical care. If you don't have the "politically correct" opinion, or vote the wrong way, or aren't the right color, whatever, doesn't matter what it is you become "deplatformed", and cannot make a living. Forcing people to participate in a medical experiment without their consent is a crime against humanity. Twisting the laws to try to redefine your experiment as not-an-experiment doesn't make it okay.

Don't tell me they aren't doing lots of targeted Gain Of Function research and will be able to unleash bioweapons on specific demographics.

458 >> The vaccine thing...why ARE they pushing it so so hard?

This is the $64 question. I don't know for sure. I suspect something very sinister is going on. At this point, I can believe some very far-out shit.

For the non-far-out, consider this. US govt has been funding lunatic GOF research in bed with Chicoms (for whatever reasons). Chicoms fuck up, leak it out, and US govt shits its pants. Fauci, Daszak, Baric, et. all, the ones up to their eyeballs in this shit, along with the rest of the Deep State are afraid that if this is bad, the public will string them up if the truth is known.

So cover the hell up that lab leak. Now, frantically try to develop something to fight it. You've got all your buds in Pharma -- throw billions at them and promise them all sorts of profits if they help you do this vaccine Hail Mary.

Now, you do it but then find you've fucked up even more than original Chicom leak (see Vanden Bossche). So you double, triple down, 'cause that's only way to keep the can kicked down the road.

459 Well no - don't lose sight of the fact the crime against humanity is bioengineering flu viruses. That's the crime part.

If you can trust the government intentions, the vaccine for this bioweapon or engineered virus released in China is your governments response.

And the government has passed legislation that requires you to take a vaccine in the event of a bioweapon attack. Forcing you to participate in a clinical trial.

They are in a pickle, and don't want to admit any of this.

My paranoia revolves around it being something used to place a marker. RNA vaccine looks for some particular genes, and if it finds a certain combination, plants a flag.

The next virus out of Wuhan will be a genetically selective bioweapon, designed to kill based on whether or not they have the marker.

The kind of thing a mad eugenicist would come up with.

No offense but you haven't been paying attention. Coal plants shut down (in this country) and lots of nuclear plants shut down or not built. 464 azjaeger, past opinion surveys I'm aware of indeed showed weak acceptance of "climate" idiocy. However, "they" have indeed acted on it and are imposing huge costs on the world and the US. I haven't seen any estimates of the cost, but even now, they would be enormous.

The opportunity cost of the money wasted on "green" nonsense is large enough, but it would be dwarfed by the money wasted through artificial de-selection of coal for power generation. That one thing alone has probably been a measurable hit to GDP for years.

And, like so much else, thanks to Trump's removal, this particular damage will now be enormously, enormously magnified vs. what was likely otherwise. And as the brainwashing and disinformation will now continue and be ramped up, the public opinion realities will probably change for the worse as well.

My take on the push to eliminate all fossil fuel (this alsp means our current transportation too) and replace it with so called green energy is to collapse the economy, pin the population in place, and centralize the control of access to energy. I don't think for one second that any of these Uniparty people for a second think green energy on a mass scale, including electrical cars, is remotely viable. But it is viable for an elite ruling class. The logical outcome is something resembling a feudal society; the original socialist/communist system.

That was sort of how I adopted Wolf. His "humans" would let him out, and I'd say hello and stroke his fur from time to time when I saw him. I'd say to myself, "I *like* that cat." Then his "humans" got evicted and turned him out to fend for himself. He was making a living going door to door for handouts when I took him in. It's been a great deal for both of us.

Funny thing: I didn't think he was all that attached to me until he was older. Looking back, I realize I was his human and he was my cat, and there was never any question about that on either side.

508 Not gonna miss the commute, especially when winter comes!

Not gonna miss the 3 am wake-up, or the corporate and coworker BS.

Not gonna miss the endless, repetitive grind.

Counting down!

509 And I'll agree, 69 is nowhere as old as 70... When I was a kid my Grandpa B seemed old...

Both Milady Jo's father, and my father, died at the age of 50, in 1968. Jo remembers she, friends, and siblings, thought, 50 is so old. Me, too, 'way back then. Now, of course, nearly 20 years older than my father ever got to be, I think, so young, so before their time.

Thanks for the condolences for my mom. The more I reflect upon it, the more I think of her death as perfectly timely. Not many can say that.

Me either. But I worry that I won't be able to afford to live comfortably. Houses even in the sticks are bloody expensive to buy, food and gas are getting worse by the day, etc. I worry that I'll buy a small house and then find I can't afford to keep it up, that I'll have to work at Walmart, etc. My plan is to do some online editing work, but I have to find some gigs now to get started.

515 Wolfus, I was forced to retire. For personal reasons, but mainly in order to care for my husband. Corporate entity makes no allowance after fmla/personal leave are exhausted. I really didn't want to end my career this way, but ????
Had no other choice.

Yes, I'm apprehensive but not truly 'scared'.

The Lord will provide!

Praying that you find the means to live well AND exit the rat-race!

BTW, no shame in being a greeter at WallyWorld... and no regerts (sic) if you get fed up and walk away, LOL!

Saw above you're not going back to your job.

As much as I love mine now, and would miss it, I know I'm getting closer to being ready to say I'm done. Feeling that whole life is too short thing and my bucket list is long.

Maybe I need to win the lottery ;p

I reverse engineered it a few years ago when I came from Hungary.

I signed on for emails about certain kinds of jobs at indeed.com, and made note of what certifications were most in demand, or just generally required/preferred.

Still working on Project Management.

Posted by: Miklos, probably overqualified at August 25, 2021 04:38 AM (QzkSJ)

558 Early in the ONT, I was asked how I backed the school board into a corner, ot allow me ot work without a mask.

You are not me, so what I have done has not worked.

But what could work is looking at the Executive Orders and Emergency Orders from the President and the CDC. The Executive Order form the President does not apply to me. Neither does the CDC order.

What to do is get the CFR cites that underpin the orders. Look at the scope of those CFR and USC citations. See if you do not fit within that scope.

There is a lot of sloppiness in the Federal Government.

@SanFran, if you're still around, the thing we are depending on is that the Taliban have said for 20 years they want us gone, and we are leaving, which is giving them what they say they want. So they shouldn't interfere with us giving them what they want. It's not much, but I think that's the premise of the entire operation.
