The Morning Report - 8/20/21

xitaljoe.jpg

Good morning, kids. The weekend is here and with the entire nation of Afghanistan, along with billions of dollars in military hardware as well as tens of thousands of American lives being handed to our enemies on a silver platter, the alleged "president" of the United States, Joe Towelette Biden, has called a lid and is going back on vacation. Can you blame the guy? Our southern border is wide open, our economy is heading towards collapse, our cities are no-go zones for even Dirty Harty and Snake Plissken, when they're not being brainwashed to hate their country and their heritage, our kids are being traumatized with perpetual masks and isolation, our freedom of speech, self-defense and now movement is being eviscerated on the pretext of a virus being fear-porn'd as plague, and on and on and on. Yes indeed, undoing nearly 2,000 years of human development is hard work, especially for a man with the mental capacity of a fern.

Alluding to yesterday's question about incompetence over ideology or vice versa is moot. Biden going back to his bowl of Galantamine 'n Cream in Delaware has me convinced that the nightmare that is unfolding on the other side of the globe is most definitely enemy action. And when I say enemy, I mean Biden's handlers and everyone who conspired to rig and steal the 2020 election -- perhaps even the People's Republic of China itself.

The pattern is clear for those who wish to see. Simply put, the left thinks America is not only evil, but irredeemably so. Hence, any policy, be it foreign or domestic, that weakens our nation-state should be pursued, the goal being that the nation-state will eventually corrode to the point of collapse. They don't care that the hollowed-out dystopia will be long past its desirability for subjugation, so long as they get to be in charge. As Lord Varys said of Littlefinger, "He would see this country burn if he could be king of the ashes" . . .

. . . What started with Woodrow Wilson finally came into full force and in open view under Obama. Every time he could, Obama favored strict Islamist regimes over Western-friendly governments. Whenever overseas pro-democracy demonstrators flew American flags, Obama reflexively sided with their oppressors. He removed sanctions from Cuba and Iran and asked for nothing in return. The JCPOA, the Paris Accords, and the Trans-Pacific Partnership were specifically designed to weaken American power behind the flimsy guise of noble causes.

What would strike the neutral observer as unabashed idiocy comes across as cold, deliberate Machiavellianism to anyone reading between the lines of Obama's head swivel speeches. Obama is a mechanical Leftist, harboring the paint-by-number faculty lounge dictums of America as a negative historical force. Hence, almost every action he took was to weaken that force. Through this lens, one can see the pattern clearly, and his actions make perfect sense. . .

. . . Biden can't be pro-American or anti-American or anything in between because he lacks the capacity to formulate a value system necessary to organize and prioritize such concepts.

Not so for every bureaucrat underneath him who was at best complicit, at worst a willing executioner, of his disastrous Afghanistan pullout. The same fool-me-once suspicion that Americans apply to the supposed 99.99998% of FBI field agents who, we are assured, are disgusted at their "few bad apples" who tried to overthrow a presidential election... yet from whose noble ranks emerged not a single whistleblower... should now be applied with equal force to the Pentagon. . .

. . . We just let the pro-democracy protestors in Hong Kong, Cuba, and Iran know that they don't have our support, other than the occasional week-too-late hashtag. We just let our allies in Taiwan, Ukraine, South Korea, and Israel know that we folded like wet paper to illiterate pedophiles in pickup trucks, so good luck against the million-man professional armies who are busy reassessing the futility of your current ceasefires. We just showed that, contrast to the dictum of "leave no man behind", we will leave every man, woman, and child behind who, be they American or Afghan, civilian or military, ever lifted a finger to help us. We will literally let them fall off our planes. . .

. . . The left, including its swamp bureaucrats who administer our wars, has no qualms with what happened in Kabul. They support Biden's grotesque withdraw not in spite of its consequences for America, but because of them. They want to see America humbled and weakened on the world stage. They want our enemies to outmaneuver us. They want us to lose our global leverage. . .

. . . This was all deliberate. . . What happened in Kabul was deliberate. In fact, I would argue it went far better than most leftists dreamed it would. . . Far from being a tragedy, our abandonment of Afghanistan was one of the left's biggest foreign policy successes.

Read the whole thing. It's a cold, but necessary, slap in the face that even I needed. In the not too recent past, the political divide over even some of the most hotly contested of third-rail issues did not mean that both sides did not have at the very least a modicum of respect for the political norms, boundaries and rules in which they operated. Politics at one time did indeed end at the water's edge. But the reality is we are no longer debating issues; we are debating the validity of the existence of our way of life. Meh, if you look at the actions of Teddy Kennedy, arguably the most destructive politician in post-war America until the coming of Obama, the will to destroy goes back a long, long way. The Hart-Celler act that flooded the country with illegal alien registered Democrats in 1965 and the close-to-treasonous trip to the Soviet Union where he promised to help derail Ronald Reagan's SDI are just two prime examples.

And speaking of immigration, legal or otherwise:

The United States, Europe, and other countries about to be saddled with a massive refugee surge spent countless billions and sacrificed the lives of their young men to build a country out of the rock and ruin of Afghanistan. They took bread out of the mouths of their own people and filled VA hospitals with the wounded, inside and outside, in a sacrifice that Afghans squandered.

The blame game over the fall of Afghanistan will go on for years, but the simple fact of the matter is that the majority of the Afghan military surrendered to the Taliban or ran away. Any debt here is owed to us by the Afghans. We have paid our debts in blood and treasure. The Afghan refugee crisis shows that the Taliban still have any number of ways that they can hurt us even once we have left Afghanistan. Their ability to turn the refugee tap on and off will allow not only the Jihadists, but their allies in Iran, Pakistan, and Turkey to blackmail us and our NATO allies by using Afghan refugees as a weapon. That's a weapon we have to take away.

America is already staggering under the massive weight of illegal aliens arriving south of the border. We cannot accommodate the illegal aliens we have, let alone hundreds of thousands of people arriving from a stone age society whose values are fundamentally at odds with our own.

The Biden [junta] created the Afghan refugee crisis. It should not expect Americans in Texas, Wisconsin, Virginia, and anywhere else it's plotting to dump its new wave of aliens, to shoulder the burden for a crisis that it created. The collapse of Afghanistan is one disaster. An Afghan refugee surge would be a second disaster. We can survive the collapse of Afghanistan, we can't survive the collapse of America.

No doubt about it. It's deliberate. If the boot in the groin was the 2020 election, and the sucker punch in the face was the purging of political opposition on the pretext of the January 6th Capitol Reichstag Fire, then the disaster in Afghanistan is now a hobnail boot curb stomping. We can talk all we want about impeachment and elections and what have you; the only way we are going to ever stop this let alone turn it around is if Leftists are removed from every level of government - from the White House down to the most obscure department of every agency. And that is going to take some heavy lifting, for all definitions of that phrase.

Meanwhile, as all that was going on, evidently there was some sort of bomb threat at the Capitol yesterday. I guaran-damn-tee you that Afghanistan or no Afghanistan, if the perp had even stepped in to Trump Tower 30 years ago for five minutes just to take a leak, this would be front page news for the next 10 days.

Oh, and it looks as if you will have to get vaccinated if you ever want to get on an airplane ever again. With any luck, America will run out of jet fuel so this won't be a big deal. How long before you have to show your internet searches or voter registration?

Have a good weekend.

I appreciate this sentiment and know it's true. But it's a fool's errand to hang my hat on it as my salvation. In reality, it's not going to happen, given the makeup of half of America. We will never, ever be at a point where enough people can see where we're going (total societal and financial collapse). And that's just for those who are well-meaning, but LIV. There are countless millions in our midst who are anti-American. With millions more coming illegally and from the ME who are not exactly friendly to America's founding ideals. We have to face that and figure out how to go forward. Leftists are entrenched in every level of gov't. And it's because of the voters that we're at this awful place, fraudulent elections notwithstanding.

They're not stupid, they're being forced to ban "adult content" by the payment processors (Square, PayPal, Mastercard, and Visa). This is exactly what happened to Gab and Parler, and to the GoFundMe for Kyle Rittenhouse.

The difference is now that liberals are outraged over this "attack on sex workers". I hesitate to describe a bored college girl selling photos of her boobs as a sex worker, but it's interesting to me that there's a growing left/right consensus that a lot of what the global elites are doing is stupid.

I can't help but believe that the only reasonable route is through a re-emergence of federalism, and even further decentralization within each State since the urban centers are hell bent on being a perpetual dystopia.

Its happening in Florida. At the State level, they are doing all they can to keep the non-urban areas relatively free; its the urban areas that are competing to see who can replicate a lower level of Dante's Hell.

Oh, never, I reckon. The piecemeal approach to all these restrictions is because the Complex was still pretending to abide by the rule of law. That era is coming to an end, and they will no longer pretend. They'll be more comprehensive and simplify things greatly soon.

What I envision is something like zones based on distance. In your local zone - say, 50 miles from your home address or to the edge of an urban area - there is unrestricted movement unless the state affirmatively places you on house or neighborhood arrest, probably related to a crime real or imagined. After that, though, you'll need to cross a checkpoint and that will require an internal passport. Passports will be granted only to VIPs and Complex affiliates in good standing. One-off, single-use travel passes - say for a vacation or bereavement - will be issued on demand and only if you pass a background check.

That will be far simpler.

I remember when that phrase "global citizen" was an occasional, ungrammatical curiosity.

After a few years it seemed to seep into more and more contexts, and ultimately became part of the universally taught K-12 school curriculum and part of the Unquestioned Assumptions that have since superceded American civilization and our Constitution --like the "Nation of Immigrants" clause that mandates unlimited admission of Third World migrants.

May explain why this huge push to have a limited fleet of short-range transportation powered by the fickle winds of non dispatchable electricity.

The problem with that is, there are still guns, and also even Communist China isn't at that level of surveillance. Also leaving this shithole won't be an issue because that which makes up shithole nations is moving in, and quite frankly the current set of residents are pretty crappy citizens too.

82 Went to Gwinnett County, GA school board meeting, which last year flipped to Dem control, like the rest of the county. Angry parents managed to get the mask mandate lifted at the end of last school year but they happily slapped it on again with the Delta panic Meeting was about 2/3 patriots and 1/3 progs/libs, about the same ratio as the 30 speakers allowed. Lots of good speakers on our side and lots woke insanity on their side. Best was a black mother who went on a tirade about elite white speaking for her because she supposedly has no voice Listening to progs repeat the idiot talking points and even announce their preferred pronouns, BLM slogans, Love is Love etc... was painful. Seeing/reading it on the internet is bad but even worse in person, especially when it was students doing it. They are brain dead.

Good meeting but I fear it is all 20 years too late. Parents are pissed and getting organized but the libs are in control of the schools and full of hate and contempt for us. No minds were changed in room, including the school board. No reasoning is possible with the wokes. It further confirmed for me we are headed for either a civil war or tyranny.

A hybrid of 1984 and Brave New World, with a drug-addled, dependent populace in a brutal top-down totalitarian structure.

That won't last long, though. It can't. It will collapse shortly after they fully implement it.

The blind Obama worship is far bigger and more dangerous than any other politician. With no reason, except the promise of "charisma" and "racial healing", people overlooked everything else about the man and threw themselves at his feet.

134 Why do we have 10k or 10s of 1000s of Americans in Afghanistan? Who are these people? Deep Staters? Private military? NGO actors? War profiteers? Private contractors? Why didn't they get out before Bagram closed on July 5th, which was known?

Why is it our military's job to protect these people making serious bank over there? These people know before hand that they have to get out before the military gets out, and many sign contracts stating this.

So again why is our military being used to protect special interests of this class of people who ignored the deadline to get out? When did our military become a force to protect these private contractors? This is very new in our nation's history like 20 years old new.

This is a manufactured crisis and I don't trust the NeoCons or NeoLiberals running this crisis and offering up solutions.

Even if Trump sought to promote Republicans, he certainly did not do so in the military or embed his people in the deep state extra-Constitutional agencies. He failed at that and, given the level of animosity he faced from those forces, it is certainly understandable why.

Yup, that's another option. It would require a digital currency, though, and that's a hard thing to implement in the US for two big reasons. The first is identity politics. Minorities, and especially American blacks, don't use the banking system so much and run cash lifestyles. The assholes in the Complex even came up with a name for this: "underbanked." That is a challenge, though probably surmountable.

The second is Eurodollars. Huge amounts of American money is overseas, sometimes in use as a local or national currency. That money has to be able to repatriate or it becomes worthless and it all falls apart. Digital-only currency will destroy repatriation. The Dollar must fail as reserve currency before it can happen.

One of the lessons that Europe learned during the refugee crisis was that AFGHAN MEN were responsible for a huge number of gang rapes in public. In broad daylight.

The Afghans are so barbarous that 6 EU countries automatically deport them.

The Afghan refugees were "motivated by a deep and abiding contempt for Western civilization. To them, Europeans are the enemy and their women are legitimate spoils, as are all the other things one can take from them: housing, money, passports."

"Their laws don't matter. . . ultimately, their civilization is going to fall anyway to the horde of which one is the spearhead. No need to assimilate, or work hard--these Europeans are too soft to seriously punish you for a transgression. Their days are numbered."

Here's the thing about it being a secret plan, though: there's still no excuse. It's clear what's going on and how people are playing the game now. There should be at least one Republican senator on the floor at all times. Draw straws, and do it as shift work. If there's an emergency, activate your phone tree and filibuster until the rest of your caucus shows up. If they *aren't* doing this, they are even more worthless than I thought.

The Democrats are perfectly capable of doubling down on stupid by having Biden blabbing in front of a microphone. They are not going to suddenly become sycophants again. They appear ready to move on to Harris.

Posted by: Jen the original at August 20, 2021 07:34 AM (G6Kvw)

195 Framing the Afghanistan debacle into a "win" for Democrats is actually kinda' smart. A lot of LIV's and nominal Democrats will shake their heads and lament the situation only because they don't fully grasp the implications. Telling them this was exactly what *biden and the Democrats wanted will force them to either acknowledge this, or not.

Personally I think there's so much disorganization inside this fractured administration that nobody knew/knows what's going on day to day. Either way, the Democrats own this shit.

And a bloodletting on their books. This won't actually be caused by a vax requirement. Most people have had a shot anyway, if the statistics are to be believed. They can probably still fill planes. The real problem - as we see with masks and over the past year - is that flying is being made so much more miserable than ever before. Everyone is on edge and everyone is pissed off. I flew last month and everyone is angry. Hard eyes behind facemasks, little or no conversation, everyone is rude - staff and customer - there are big placards up about how you need to be less mean and not break the rules, etc.

Vax requirements will just make it all that much worse. Flying used to be miserable. Now it's hell and getting worse. That's bad for business. It's only a matter of time (if this continues) that they all get consolidated and then nationalized as a state carrier or two. That's probably what they want anyway.

This is thinking way too small.

Joe Biden is nothing more than a figure head. He is not in control.

It is not one man who is a moral monster, it is the Left in general which is the moral monster.

Everyone from Fauci to Bill Gates to every Democrat Governor to everyone in the CDC and FDA and WHO to everyone in teachers' unions and school boards to military leaders to everyone in the media to everyone in social media and tech companies to everyone in Hollywood and sports leagues and the NCAA and universities across the country.

All those people have been involved in pushing COVID policies, pushing Critical Race Theory, supporting domestic terrorism through antifa and Black-Lives-Matter, supporting the suppression of dissent of anything related to COVID-19 (masks, lockdowns, vaccines, HCQ, Ivermectin, etc) and supporting the destruction of the last remaining recourse of a free society - free and fair elections - with their support of the rigged and stolen election of Nov 2020.

People need to stop focusing on Biden. This is the result of the long march through the institutions.

THEY CANCELED THE FOREIGN POLICY DEBATE. Trump's strongest areas were in economic and foreign policy. What did the press hammer him on in the debates? COVID. Every single debate. The press (and the Presidential Debate Commission) did everything they could to distract from Trump's strengths and give succor and cover for Biden.

The clearest opportunity for the LIV to make a choice that would have impacted the events that just transpired in Afghanistan was the contrast between the GEOTUS and the FICUS. They didn't want that to happen.

Trump interacted with the press nearly every day, and had been interviewed at this point over 50 times, and many of those interviewers were overtly hostile.

It's double-think to say "I believe they have cleverly schemed their way into power, but once in power their cleverness stopped. It's a plan, a plan to destroy, and there is nothing you can do to stop it.

If anything the Taliban have shown a roadmap of sorts for defeating Democrats, endure the overwhelming force and wait until they have exhausted all will and resources to oppress (from their perspective) and then resume control.

Will much be lost during the period of oppression? Yes. But as long as your freedom-loving American heart persists, the enemy will never triumph and extinguish your will. It is the way of the Sovereign above to preserve His remnant, and this time is no different.

If the last 4 or 5 decades allowed us the peace to relax, the next 4 or 5 will require diligence in teaching generation after generation the principles of human freedom so that they never perish from the earth.

This is my take. Some of it was deliberate - like turfing Trump's plan and not implementing anything until far too late to matter because the Mil/IC complex was sure Biden would reverse the withdrawal. It's not something along those lines.

In order to pull off the steal, the Democrats needed a coalition of powerholders broader than any one Democrat could call in favors for. In consequence, we have a rule by an oligarchy. Big Tech, Disney, Deep State, Wall Street, Urban political machines, etc. If they lose major parts of that oligarchy, they lose power. In consequence, all the major players have veto power. That's why you see things like the waffling back and forth about lockdowns, some players want them, others don't, so the status quo tends to hold. It's just rule by a dysfunctional committee.

I would imagine the decent, honest family loving Mormons would feel as bad about their dishonest co-religionist as the rest of us would feel about the greedy and dishonest people in our own faith traditions.

323 Here are a couple of promises from Psaki-hockey in her first White House Press Briefing, the evening of Jan. 20, 2021. Both have reached their expiration date. The first one long ago, but it's especially damning now.

"If the president were standing here with me today, he would say he works for the American people," Ms. Psaki said. "I work for him, so I also work for the American people, but his objective and his commitment is to bring transparency and truth back to government, to share the truth, even when it's hard to hear."

Also, Jenny promised the White House Press Corps daily White House Press Briefings, except on weekends, unlike the previous Administration according to her. This week, there has been one Press Briefing, on Tuesday. A Press Briefing is not currently scheduled today. (I do not have a direct quote for this one; my source is an NYT article.)

Incompetence would explain a minimal level of "glitches" in the withdrawal. Even the guy in the bomb truck functioned at a higher level that the military, the State department, and our highest "leadership"? No. Plus I'm not buying that Europe knew nothing. If they spy on Trump, they spy all the time. I call bullshit. This is all CYA.

The idea that we pulled out while still replenishing supplies is just sinister, btw, and is further evidence of coordination. I suspect this is a Turkey-Iran-Obama thing. I still don't get why Wray is 100% on board with this, but then Obama is a religious figure.

His Plan B is seaborne launch. They already do recovery-at-sea through their automated flat-top barges (they call them "drone ships"). They have leased - last time I checked - and end-of-useful-life oil platform for conversion into a seaborne launch platform. If that works, he can launch from the sea, which has many benefits around positioning (and avoidance of EPA and other US government interference). He still does his manufacturing here - for now - and they can still fuck with him, though. I suspect he's planning around assembly and manufacturing elsewhere, but I sure don't know.

All three are probably capable. Korea and Japan are certainly capable. There are a lot of good reasons to *not* have nukes - primarily because they are an exorbitant cost center but they are also a security concern. Why have your own nukes when you can use ours?

That math changed pretty dramatically within a week following the 2020 farce of an election. I would be shocked if they didn't start crash nuke development programs by then. If they did, they probably have working weapons coming on line about now or during the next quarter. There are still delivery problems (missiles are hard), but in an existential crisis they can also shove one into the hold of a passenger jet liner and blow it up near the target. That would be a suicide mission for the pilot, but it would work.

There are WHG's that have NG/propane fueling. You have a permanent connection to your gas line, and hoses to connect to external propane tanks.

It's not psychosis at all, it's being fed organized lies, and they are well organized and constant. There is no "delusion" there is propaganda. Pretending it's an illness, normally means one can recover (schizophrenia is for life, btw). This is more like a less preposterous, but more constant, "War of the Worlds" broadcast. The result of a constant drumbeat of fear inducing lies is not delusional, though it seems fun to say so. This is far worse.
I am no fan of calling evil illness. It's not. Mao was not ill, he was evil. The same with Stalin, Hitler, etc.
I despise the bullshit that "nobody who wasn't mentally ill would kill someone" seems to be imbedded in our society. It's false at best, and it gives them a false out and limits blame and consequences.

My local Ace Hardware did the bare minimum to comply to asinine county rules. When those expired back in April, all that shit came down. No more shields, no more masks, nothing. Maybe a quarter of customers are masked, but their workforce - mostly young people with a couple of old-timers who I suspect own the place and really know their shit - demasked on day zero. It is hands-down the most normal place in the county.

And it's a neighborhood hardware store that has been there for a long time, which is an added bonus. I love proper hardware stores.

Yes and yes. Above note I recommend NG/propane for a WHG. If I were buying a new portable generator today it would be tri-fuel gasoline/NG/propane.

Solar "generators" are really batteries. I don't think the ROI on anything being sold as a solar genrator today proves out. A solar array with a bank of batteries makes sense for a full off-grid power option but for standby power it doesn't.

463 A federal appellate court refused late Thursday to delay implementation of a judge's order reinstating a Trump administration policy forcing thousands to wait in Mexico while seeking asylum in the U.S.

President Joe Biden had suspended former President Donald Trump's "Remain in Mexico" policy on his first day in office and the Department of Homeland Security said it was permanently terminating the program in June, according to the court record. U.S. District Judge Matthew J. Kacsmaryk last week ordered that the program be reinstated Saturday.

The Biden administration appealed to the 5th U.S. Circuit Appeal in New Orleans and asked for a delay in re-implementing the program, formally known as Migrant Protection Protocols, pending appeal. The administration argued in briefs that the president has "clear authority to determine immigration policy" and that the Secretary of the Department of Homeland security, Alejandro Mayorkas, had discretion in deciding whether to return asylum seekers to Mexico.

466 Their data clearly show that innovations and the patents that protect them greatly enrich innovators and contribute to income inequality but it is equally clear that innovation lifts all incomes and increases social mobility across the board.

Thus the most innovative states exhibit not only the most extreme income inequality but also the greatest social mobility.

CRT destroys this idea with EQUITY. Gates had an OS and business suite that worked just OK, he wealth cost me nothing. Bezos got the book to my front door easier than a trip to Barnes, his wealth cost me nothing.

We have about 150 Million people that have no problems with Pelosi, Schumer, and Biden literally SUCKING money out of the economy with ZERO return, but they infinite hatred for people that work hard, save their, and support themselves.

469 Re generators, your service lines regulate the size of the possible generator in kw and placement. On solar, aside from panels is the necessary battery storage for bad weather and night use. Off grinders can make a whole house solar work but it generally requires a very low power budget lifestyle and propane etc for heated water and heat.

very, very true. i mean, i can't figure out how they pulled it off. it's fucking impressive from a dispassionate view. but how they got so many leaders, and regular people to go along and not question it is just... stunning.

476 Surprisingly, not a lot of discussion over at DU about Biden and his Afghanistan success. COVID, mostly, and a hodge-podge of random race baiting and "Trumpster" mocking. However, the post below is gold. Shows how deluded the left is, and more importantly, how much they hate you. If they honestly believe the crap in the post, they definitely want us locked up or dead.

Yeah I realized after I hit "post" the first time, I should've expanded a bit, but writing out my entire thought process here probably won't translate well into pixy. Suffice it to say I'm guessing very little, if any planning & coordination among cities/states/countries went into the Covid response. Leftists think alike, act alike. They don't need to see a memo or anything like that - one makes a move and the rest just move in lock-step.
