The Morning Report - 8/19/21

laslicks.jpg

Good morning, kids. Thursday and the disaster unfolding in Afghanistan with a fudge-ripple effect in Joey Biden's ice cream dish and what's left of America continues, as it no doubt will for perhaps weeks to come. This is not going to be just a drive-by event in the daily soap opera that passes for news as Rush Limbaugh, PBUH, would describe it. This is something the media will not be able to control because they did not create it. And now, as is painfully evident by Biden's interview with Greek fireplug George Stephanopoulos and an horrendous press conference, the Left is desperate to try and change the narrative. Spoiler alert: it's failing miserably even as they try.

With now a potential hostage crisis that makes the one that befell the hapless Jimmy Carter in the wake of Iran falling to - what a coincidence - medieval Islamic fanatics, there are some revelations that are just beyond the pale. Yesterday, Ace covered the scoop from the National Pulse about the DC junta trashing a Trump administration contingency plan in the event of a situation just like what is unfolding in Afghanistan. It is beyond insane that they axiomatically oppose anything and everything associated with Trump just because, Trump. But with thousands of Americans and westerners stranded in what is about to become a circle of hell on earth, how the hell did we lose Bagram Air Base, which is or at least was one of the most heavily defended American bastions in Afghanistan, if not on that side of the globe? The answer to that is going to make blood shoot out of your eyes.

The decision to abandon Bagram in favor of HKIA could result in a massive, unprecedented hostage crisis, should the Taliban decide to attack and then overcome the U.S. forces defending HKIA. If that happens, the possibilities grow grimmer from there. Black Hawk Down, the Iran hostage crisis, ISIS beheadings, all possible, all by the thousands. The U.S. military will be doing very well to avoid that. The Taliban would also be wise to avoid it, as going hot would force Biden to redeploy a massive number of forces to retaliate. The possibilities spiral out of control from there.

In any case, Milley clearly says the plan to abandon Bagram came from the commander in Afghanistan, Gen. Austin "Scottie" Miller, in response to orders from Washington.

It's tempting to call for Miller's firing now, but there's a problem with that. He already left.

NBC ran this story about Miller stepping down from command of U.S.-NATO forces on July 12. It's poignant now to read the quotes he and his commander, CENTCOM's Gen. Frank McKenzie, offered Afghanistan at the time of Miller's departure. . .

. . . Clearly, they could not count on that support. McKenzie knew so at the time. Miller's plan would have been in development and briefings since April at the time of his departure on July 12. In fact, the United States abandoned Bagram Air Base a full week prior, the AP reported at the time. Miller's plan had already been initiated on July 5. . .

. . . This was the plan: bug out of the largest U.S. base in the dead of night without even telling our allies, then a week later reassure them that we were always going to stand by them -- when the military knew Biden had no intention of doing so. . .

. . . They still, in my estimation, managed to make everything even worse by choosing to defend the wrong patch of ground. They had a choice and chose very poorly. That's not hindsight, it's a recognition of how things are playing out right now. Again, Bagram provided capabilities that HKIA does not.

But the choice was forced on them by a man in the White House who never served in uniform, who foisted his drug-addict son on the military, and who set arbitrary dates for withdrawal without any regard for the conditions and facts on the ground. Biden's MO since taking office has been to fling executive orders and edicts with no regard for the real-world consequences, and then blame Trump or someone else when it blows up in his face.

My first reaction to reading this involved the phrases "court martial" and "summary execution." You can start with Vanilli Milley and Lloyd Austin and go from there. But, as the saying goes, the fish stinks from the head. And in this case it's an empty one that is maintained at a near constant 20 degrees farenheit that is giving the world the biggest ice cream headache in history.

The other day, I had a long conversation with a friend and we were debating whether or not this is incompetence or intentional or what. It mirrors conversations with another friend about the mind, such as it is, of NYC's hideous Wilhelm Klink DeBolshevik, who my friend (who see things in purely partisan political terms) insists is incompetent. I tried telling him, and I think at least it is sinking in, that his incompetence is driven by his worldview. Even if someone were incompetent, a bad decision or even a string of bad decisions would not create societal chaos and breakdown. Some inkling of common sense would prevent wholehearted support and cheerleading of abolishing police forces, or in this case, just leaving an entire nation, and a strategically important one, that you spent 20 years trying to prop up that cost trillions of dollars and thousands of lives in the hands of bestial dark age monsters. Worse, sending a signal to every criminal, be it muggers and rapists or tyrannical nuclear-armed regimes, that you apologize for being such a poor excuse of a victim.

It is a fact that the Chi-Coms have infiltrated every aspect of our society all the way up to and including the highest levels of government. With that as a set-up, the estimable Lara Logan was on with TuCa yesterday and said it out loud:

What she told Tucker will confirm your worst fears: Things are playing out as they are, complete with violence, death, chaos, and a massive risk of a hostage crisis because that's what the government wants, much as it wants an open border:

Investigative journalist Lara Logan, host of "No Agenda" on Fox Nation, said Wednesday it is clear the United States government prefers the chaotic outcome in Afghanistan as well as the criminal and humanitarian crises at the U.S. southern border.

Logan told Fox Nation's "Tucker Carlson Today" that whoever in Washington is truly "pulling the strings" of the government intends for these crises to intensify, given their oft-unstated ability to stop them from worsening.

[snip]

"Whoever is in power right now, whoever is really pulling the strings -- and I don't know that -- they could do anything they want to change this. And they're not.

Debate about intentional or incompetent or both or what . . .

. . . "The NSA and the [NGIA] are watching this happen in real time," she claimed.

"And they're doing nothing to stop it. Why not? So what the Afghans will tell you is that the United States chose this outcome."

"The United States government could change this even today. And they don't do it. They don't use the leverage they have with Pakistan. They'll give you 5,000 reasons, but it doesn't matter."

. . . America is at a very dangerous crossroads. It appears that she is being led by an incompetent moron but it's probably worse than that: She is led by people who wish to "fundamentally transform" America, place purported global goals above American well-being, and don't care how many people die to achieve their goals.

So, where the hell do I even begin? What Logan postulated even a few years ago would have gotten her thrown into a psycho ward. After everything we've seen especially since last November, what she is saying is the sum of all of our fears, so to speak.

It's not incompetence. It's not even politics. It's insanity. And it is every bit as insane and ruthless as the Taliban. Yes, of course, sick bastards like Stephen Colbert or Michael Moore slime us with that comparison but it is pure projection. They're just too out of their minds to recognize it. As Raymond Ibrahim noted yesterday in his lead piece, Islam has been on the march for 1,600 years and they have a singular goal - world conquest. The same thing with those who control Biden, despite being on the march for just over a century.

They do not tire, they do not give in, even when they suffer setback after setback. Look where they are now and look where we are. It's going to take becoming as ruthless and singleminded as they are just to survive, let alone restore peace and sanity.

On a completely different, yet as with most things, not unrelated note, this week marks the 30th anniversary of the Al Sharpton-led Crown Heights pogrom, or "riots." The Washington Free Beacon is doing extensive coverage on it if you want to escape this madness. Meh, some escape, right?

9 I only saw two clips of the interview that circulated last evening (are there more?), but I think Stephanamopolopanuluffagus did a decent job of pressing Sleepy Joe.

Biden was really getting agitated and flustered. Now maybe that's a low bar, given that he's not accustomed to answering any unscripted question that can't be answered with "chocolate chocolate chip," but GS got him there nonetheless.

Indeed. Keep in mind that in 20 years of combat operations, we have lost around 2,500 American servicemen and about twice that number of American contractors. The Afghan body count has been much, much larger, but bluntly they're Afghans and not Americans.

This catastrophic fuckup of a withdrawal may end up killing more Americans in the space of a couple of months than the previous two decades of active war fighting - and many if not most of them will be non-combatants. What a disaster.

In AoSHQ terms, embrace the power of and. There is a lot of malice in big-picture terms. For example, "don't win in Afghanistan, but also don't leave and drag it out." Then there is rank incompetence in execution - like leaving equipment to the enemy without scuttling it, or fleeing our major strategic base in favor of a civilian airport in an urban area. Combine them together, add a spot of luck, and you get the biggest international debacle in generations.

27 She is led by people who wish to "fundamentally transform" America, place purported global goals above American well-being, and don't care how many people die to achieve their goals.

Its pretty damned obvious. The people with the loudest voices in this "fundamental transform" are oddly, all Malthusians with a ZPG worldview (the ovens are off to your left, please step forward).

Look at ALL of their policies are driven with a common template - build a world for a few hundred million enlightened people. Which explains their choice in "hands off" electricity generation, destruction of the medical system, no new infrastructure for the millions of new immigrants. The new dependency on robotics for manufacturing and auto-delivery with autonomous vehicles and battery operated lorries.

It makes far more sense to see the mRNA as an integral part of their population reduction plan and this insane level of intensity to get everyone jabbed.

37 This stuff about our puppets fleeing with cash and the Taliban and various ANA factions picking it up by the bag load makes me think of something from long ago. When we invaded North Africa at the start of our involvement in WWII, we were by no means confident that we win. We also weren't confident that if we lost, it wouldn't be a harried rout of our forces or an outright full-blown slaughter of our men. This posed a practical problem, along with everything else: how do we keep from enriching the enemy with convertible US dollars if we lose? We don't want our gold going to the Nazis.

So we came up with a solution. Money used in theater was slightly different. It had, IIRC, a yellow seal instead of a green seal. If we lost, all yellow-seal money would be repudiated and refused for conversion, debt payment or repatriation. It would then be replaced with new money. If we lost the theater, the enemy would get no usable money. It was a clever solution to the problem, and it should have become SOP in every combat theater since then. If Afghans wouldn't be able to use their pilfered money outside the theater, I suspect things might look at least slightly different or less embarrasing.

In 2014, I was in San Francisco for a convention for work. I had to go to a customer dinner and I and a group of colleagues walked the mile and a half from the hotel to the fancy restaurant where the company was hosting the customers. It was broad daylight and we were followed and harassed by aggressive street bums, everything smelled like piss and there were needles in the gutters.

After the dinner, I refused to walk back. Not after dark. There was a cab stand with one taxi. I missed it. I chose to wait. Eventually an unhired black car/town car stopped and we negotiated a cash price for the man to drive me to the hotel.

That was seven years ago now, and it has gotten worse every time I've been back. In 2018, I went to an internal conference in San Francisco. One of the natives there was staring out a window from the Hilton at a row of tents on the sidewalk and bums fighting and lamented what had happened to the city. It is to my regret that I didn't reply.

Part of the problem is that normal people eisegete their own understanding of the word "concern" as in "looking out for their best welfare and safety". When these goblins say "our concern" they really mean "our" as in the Children of Cain whose "concern" for the young girls is that they upset that these girls are off the lucrative market for child sex trafficking.

I'm doing ok. Lot of swelling and bruising all over the leg. Off the prescription pain killers and down to just ibuprofen every 12 hours. Negligable pain, except when i am doing one of the PT exercises that has me lock my leg straight then lift it up and hold it for ten seconds. That hurts right under the knee cap.

59 52 That was seven years ago now, and it has gotten worse every time I've been back. In 2018, I went to an internal conference in San Francisco. One of the natives there was staring out a window from the Hilton at a row of tents on the sidewalk and bums fighting and lamented what had happened to the city. It is to my regret that I didn't reply.

Read a book recently on the second siege of Vienna with the lead-up and aftermath. The author mentions that after about 75 years of Austrian victories, the empire stultified. The result was institutional fantasy where the people in charge had no idea of the real world. Welcome to institutional fantasy.

90 Lara Logan's fears are predicated on the assumption that the US government is a singular entity, of one mind, represented by Joe Biden. But what if this is not the case?

The lack of action could just as easily (if not more so) be explained by factions of the government pitted against each other. There is no way Biden is calling the shots. He is a figurehead put there so that the Deep State (or whatever you want to call it) could "go back" to how things were before Donald Trump.

Now I can think of two possible division sets. 1) Different factions of the Deep State are fighting among themselves as they have the power, but lost their unifying factor... fighting Donald Trump. 2) Deep state vs factions loyal to Donald Trump. Either are possible but perhaps I need to explain #2. Trump did a number of unusual administration reorganization moves between Nov 3 and Jan 20, ones that make no sense if he was going to give up and run from Washington. They might make sense if they were to strenghten the hand of his allies in the government after Jan 20. Does Trump have allies? Yes, there is no way he could have beaten the Clinton machine in 2016 without help.

This is completely unreasonable. We are in a period of actively unfolding international crisis while lives are the line. This is absolutely NOT the time to call into question or attack our political and military leadership. Such actions to score cheap political points will only sow division and trigger a lack of confidence in our institutions as they do their best to defend America and uphold her values.

After this crisis has passed one way or another, there will be time for investigations and if needed recriminations, and we will support those with full vigor. But the time for that is not now. United we stand and divided we fall, and we will not sow division at a critical time like we are experiencing right now. That is not who we are, and not who we will ever be. Now is the time to rally toward victory, not play into our enemies' hands by dividing our country in the face of an active crisis.

111 Pace Lara Logan I do not believe the deep state is that good that they can create the conditions for chaos and then use the ensuing chaos in exactly the way they want. That's a triple bank shot.

This misses her point. She said Afghans are very clear-eyed about this war, saying America could have and should have stopped the Taliban supply lines from Pakistan at any time, could have and should have defunded Pakistan's military, which used the money to fund the Taliban, and could have and should have bombed the Taliban hard in May, when they began their offensive in violation of the deal they made with the US. They expected to be bombed, and when they were not, they launched their take-out offensive.

Logan's argument is the Afghans see this war as a simple choice: if America wanted to win, they could have, and if they wanted a negotiated peace, they could have (with little effort) achieved that, simply by following through on Trump's threat to bomb.

This is a basic risk in our current form of government: politburo shot-calling. There is no leader and the politburo runs everything and trots out Biden on occasion to maintain the fiction. One problem with this is that there are various factions in the politburo and in the deep state and in the Party - throughout the Complex, essentially.

That is my *guess* as to what is happening. Some members of the politburo have some information, other members have other information, no one can assess what they don't know or issue orders across factional lines. Some parts of the government follow one plan, others follow another, all of it informed (or misinformed) by different internal networks to their champions in the politburo.

137 Good morning, kids.
------------------
I absolutely love the morning report and your commentary but I respectfully disagree.

(1) We knew the Talbian was going to take over eventually;
(2) We just didn't think it would happen so soon;
(3) I'm not explaining why I said they wouldn't take over or why we got this wrong;
(4) You don't want us to be in Afghanistan forever, do you? Why would you want that? That's crazy!
(5) Hunt--- I mean Beau
(6) Chocolate chocolate chip

A black guy with dreads, he walked up to me and casually asked if I wanted some weed or coke. I said no, I was in the military and they frowned on that. He walked a half block with me apologizing for not recognizing the significance of my haircut.

204 They do not tire, they do not give in, even when they suffer setback after setback. Look where they are now and look where we are. It's going to take becoming as ruthless and singleminded as they are just to survive, let alone restore peace and sanity

What I believe, and I know many of you think I'm a hopelessly naive person for believing it.

JJ is correct. The left, China, and Islam are in a marriage of convenience to overthrow western freedoms in a quest to remake the country into what they want. The intend to destroy each other to achieve victory for their view after we are eliminated.

What all three of these philosophies under estimate is the principles in the founding documents of the fundamental right of individuals to be free, and order their lives without coercion. People will fight for that right as can be seen in many places worldwide.

In America, the majority (and it IS a majority, I can show demographic proof) will fight, but for now they wish to effect change through the ballot box. We have a history of mostly peaceful change, and people aren't ready yet to give that up, yet.

For starters, peg our currency to theirs at an unrealistic, favorable exchange rate for our exporters, then maybe subsidize our strategic industries (such as steel), dump it by the metaphoric truckload on the world market, and drive their producers out of business.

254 All the COVID-over-internet talk almost compels me to repost this from a few weeks back:

This is not as absurd as it sounds because of an oddity in internet standards dating back to 1994. That year, RFC2954 was issued, entitled "Hyper Text Biological Transmission Control Protocol (HTBTC/1.0)." Quote:
"The document describes the HTBTC, a protocol for for transporting small-scale biological material using transport-agnostic abstraction for delivery between internet-connected endpoints.

There is increasing electronic collaboration amongst biological scientists and being able to efficiently and cheaply share nano-scale biological material will advance their collaborative research efforts when combined with send-side sampling equipment and receive-side reconstruction devices."

This was never fully implemented, but the ability is present in all standards-compliant devices and software. This legacy capability exposes an infection/escape vector (which is why it was never fully built), so the video call mask mandate is sensible to minimize risk.

It makes far more sense to see the mRNA as an integral part of their population reduction plan and this insane level of intensity to get everyone jabbed.
_____________

Yep, the government's insistence that everyone must get one of these leaky vaccines makes no sense from a rational perspective.

We already know that a large portion of the public has a natural immunity to the China virus. Vaccinating them makes no sense, and there is some evidence that it actually screws up their immune system response and makes them more vulnerable to variants.

Also, the CDC estimates that around 120 million Americans have already been infected with and recovered from the China virus, and vaccinating them makes no sense either. These people's immune systems have produced antibodies to the virus that give them much more robust and longer-lasting protection from the virus and its variants than any of the vaccines do.

Then there are young people, who are at little risk of getting seriously ill or dying from the virus. Even Dr. Robert Malone, the inventor of the mRNA vaccine technology, says that vaccinating them makes no sense and should not be done.

Yet here we are.

260 But for the first time in generations, the populace is aware of how corrupt and incompetent the ruling establishment is. And how far out of touch with the values of the majority they are.

They are fighting back in small ways as they can, in board of education meetings. The recall in CA will be an indicator if a deep blue state will say "enough".

2022 will be a possible inflection point. The current situation will not get better and is likely to be much worse. How voters respond, especially when they know the Democrats are going to cheat without any restraint, will be instructive.

Will we see the FBI jailing peaceful protesters that are standing outside Detroit precincts demanding that the vote count be transparent and follow election law?

If another election is largely viewed as stolen, then we will see if we have a future. The forces arrayed against us believe that we will meekly succumb to their rule. I personally don't think we will, but that is just my opinion. I could well be an idiot for believing that.

The real answer is probably because we can't or won't because everything is a disaster and no one is in charge.

The paper answer is probably that our agreements with the Taliban restrict us to the airport and that if we violate that agreement - as our UK allies are - the Taliban will seize the airport in a new offensive, slaughter our men holding the facility and eliminate any chance of evacuation for remaining US citizens.

Back in Colorado we had a neighbor who was one of the Afghan translators. He was nice, hubby met him when he assisted the dude with a dead battery. So. . . don't think assimilation was happening.

There are photographs of people wearing masks during the 1918-19 Spanish flu pandemic, with a mask on the family dog and one on the cat. (I'd like to know how they managed that.) These pics were published in a book that appeared long before the current hysteria, I think, so it's not terribly likely they were p'shopped to match with the current narrative. Of course that was a *real* pandemic. But my point is, people have always done stupid things when driven by fear.

Doesn't even need to be the Yuan. It could be the SDR or anything else. Or even nothing at all. If the US Dollar ceases to be the standard for international settlements, the Eurodollar market collapses and our currency value will plummet hard and fast.

We're an import-dependent economy. We've spent 30-40 years hollowing out our industrial base and sending it overseas. We can't produce what we need at home and are utterly, fully dependent on imports from around the world. All of those imports will become extremely expensive, and so so all at once. It will take probably a decade of privation to rebuild anything like enough of an industrial base to get back on track, and that assumes that we aren't invaded in the meantime and that we don't have meltdown after blowup after collapse for want of engineers who know what they're doing and companies that don't prioritize "diversity, equity and inclusion" over competence.

Cats are tame, but not domesticated. Not really. Domesticating them would make them unfit for purpose, which is to be unhinged killing machines that keep pests out of our structures (especially, and initially, grain warehouses).

We shrank cats down so they couldn't kill *us* but that's about as far as it went. Cats are all feral, and even well-behaved house cats are stalking murderers. They are this by design.

It depends on the cat. My smart black cat Marie-Antoinette was not only fine with walking on a lead, she loved it. The first 2 times she was uncertain, but willing. The 3rd time, when I brought out the harness, she ran to the door crying as if saying, "Let's go!!"

Admittedly she was smarter and more adaptable by far than most cats. I've never known another who was willing to try it.

No "allegedly" needed. Cartels absolutely control the border. And not just the human trafficking. Also the drug trafficking, weapon trafficking, etc.

And Biden's idiotic policies are enriching the cartels to the tune of billions of dollars every month.

Well, we're certainly not talking about Haiti, which is weird. Typically when there's a natural disaster like that the sitting POTUS is letting us know what he's doing to provided ASAP assistance, which countries he's coordinating with, etc.

I get that Aghanistan is a more pressing issue for us, but considering Haiti was delegated to VP Kamala the WH could feasibly he working on both? Mis Hum said something similar on last night's ONT. I'm in the same boat (altho Pfizer here). I imagine it's a growing opinion. Many who have gotten the initial "vaccine" likely struggled with the decision to do so. Now we see that it didn't / doesn't really work, so concerns have been validated. So it is highly likely that folks will not agree to the booster(s).

421 Milley is officially an errand-boy in this. The official chain-of-command, by law (yeah, I know), is from POTUS to SecDef to CentCom Commander.

CentCom Commander is Marine General Kenneth F. McKenzie, Jr. Any investigation of Joe's Chaos needs to grill this guy. He had to have signed-off on or tacitly concurred with all the orders issued by General Scottie Miller, Commander-Afghanistan. And he passed withdrawal orders and schedules from POTUS and SecDef down to Miller, or issued his own withdrawal orders to Miller, to meet POTUS/SecDef goals and objectives.

Milley is officially only an advisor in all this. How much he pushed-around Austin and McKenzie remains to be discovered. Key questions must be answered by McKenzie: What were his recommendations and advice to Austin? What was his assessment of Afghan army ability to stand against the Taliban? Did he agree with the orders he received and passed-on to Miller? What withdrawal orders did he himself write to Miller based on SecDef mission objective orders.

The scale of the the finger-pointing and blame is still unknown.

There was a fairly long article posted on Insty's site yesterday, written by some guy who worked for years with European "refugees." He was writing (reluctantly and with a heavy heart, of course) about how the Afghan refugees were continually raping and assaulting people, were continually stealing and taking part in welfare frauds, and how as a group they just refused to live in accordance with the law, because they hold European societies in contempt and believe they are justified and entitled to rape, steal, kill, pillage, whatever.

He claimed in his piece that other muslim refugee groups have assimilated somewhat, but the Afghans simply refuse. But their behavior is similar in some respects to the Somalis who live in Minnesota. Like their poster girl Omar, they lie, cheat, steal, etc., with no shame. Remember the multiple day-care scams they were running to rip off millions of taxpayer dollars? @RNCResearch

CNN reporter responds to Biden saying Afghanistan withdrawal was not a "failure."

"A lot of people outside that airport...would like to know: If this isn't failure, what does failure look like exactly?"

477 Do you get the impression that our government wants to admit terrorists? I do

I don't believe there is any coherence in government policy at this point.

There are many people who don't have the vocabulary to understand the idea of terrorism. That is why you see a lot of people abusing that word by calling Trump supporters "terrorists" or people who don't wear The Veil "terrorists". They only know that the sound "terrorist" means something to hate and wish dead. So those people I would not expect to have any rational concern for admitting terrorists.

There are also open borders types who see the former United States as an economic opportunity zone, and consider MS-13 "sparks of divinity" because it is politically expedient. These too, are people not to take seriously.

There might be a handful of throw-backs in the government who are 9-11 minded, but after twenty years they are probably in retirement.

480 That was a Truth Bombing of Dresden by our sister Lara Logan.

This is the defeat, humiliation and Hostage Crisis that the Obama/Soros Syndicate wanted and China demanded. Please quit calling Biden stupid and incompetent. I know he's a retard, but this is their plan. It's not stupid. IT IS EVIL.

Shadow Brain Hussein picked right up where he left off: building a Muslim Brotherhood Caliphate for his Ayatollah. They are seeding the country with terrorists by dissolving the border.

They are also happy that Biden is bearing the brunt. He's disposable. He's a walking zombie. He's already done. Toast. If they can, they'll retire him say "Problem Solved!", install Harris and Booker, and continue on as before, calling it a clean slate.

But it won't be a clean slate at all. It would be the same old shit, only worse; the Destruction of America. Ronnie:

"...make no mistake about it, this is an evil force. Don't be deceived because you are not hearing the sound of gunfire, because even so you are fighting for your lives. And you;re fighting against the best organized and the most capable enemy of freedom and of right and decency that has ever been..."

482 Just a reminder: It takes a 67 votes 2/3rds of the Senate to temporary remove a POTUS. It takes a 75 votes 3/4ths of the Senate to permanently remove a POTUS under the 25th amendment.

PJmedia pointed out the reason the Dims won't allow the Big Guy to be removed via the 25th Amendment Section 4. Once Comma-La is sworn in a POTUS, there would be a 50-50 tie in the Senate with no tiebreaker. The Dims would have to surrender control of the Senate, with no assurance that they could get a VP nominee approved by that body to break ties.

489 Bagram was the Alamo. You never abandon the Alamo until all of your people and assets are out. The military knows this, and I find it specious they didn't advise the civilian side on this aspect. It is what held the last president back. It is why we had a conditions based agreement with the enemy. We would draw down in order according to the removal of people and assets. This nonsense that it was either Bagram or HKIA is nonsense, and more driven by artificial civilian requirements then practical military needs. Numbers of soldiers didn't matter. You could deal with that later after the precursors were accomplished. For some reason, we did none of that. You figure it out.

495 What people should worry about is the same people who are responsible for this disaster are responsible for our nations security and defense apparatus. The same people responsible for our open border that is creating a disaster. The same people responsible for defending us from other rogue nations and threats. They have proven totally themselves incapable, unwilling or deliberately subversive to our collective security and well-being.
