Biden is trapped: if he doesn't give a public address, he looks weak and out of touch. If he does, he's going try and blame Trump which no one will believe and may very well harden the population against him.
One of the things I keep hammering is that Biden has no core constituency. The closest he has are the upper-middle-class white progressives who comprise the managerial class and the bureaucracy's upper levels. They believed that Biden would "restore America's reputation" by which we mean their popularity with the rest of the globalist class. Instead, this disaster is a public humiliation of them as well. People will endure a lot of things, but public humiliation is one of the least.

We rate this claim as completely false. First, while Biden did make the alleged statement, he was only relaying a message developed by his press and State Department team, so they weren't really his words. Additionally, just as the mentally ill aren't liable for crimes they commit, Biden's reduced mental faculties absolve him of the responsibility of what he says.
Second, photos from Afghanistan which make it appear a helicopter landed on the roof are misleading and lacking appropriate context. The helicopter was much too big to land on the roof of the US Embassy, and instead landed in the ground within the embassy compound. Completely false!

I saw a report online that Tolly-bon had NVGs and Afghani checkpoints and patrols didn't. Tolly-bon fighters were able to roll up on checkpoints, wipe everyone out, and disappear before anyone even knew they were out there.

The problem is that even if they invoke the 25th, "Biden" can just submit a letter to Congress that he's feeling better and then Congress has 21 days to vote on the matter. But Congress would need 2/3s majorities to uphold Harris as Acting President.

Other than the Taliban and their asshole supporters, the only person truly and sincerely happy about all this is Jimmy Carter. He hung on until he was 96 years old, and can now die with a smile on his face, knowing that the number of people who would and did say the same about him has gone from 9 figures (hundreds of millions) to 3 figures (hundreds) just in the last 7 months. And those hundreds are all people who were (like Joe) completely senile when Joe was elected, so they haven't been keeping up. I seriously expect Carter to die peacefully in his bed before the end of the year: he has no reason to hang on now.

He couldn't get good intelligence about what the situation on the ground in Afghanistan really was, and he couldn't get his traitorous generals to obey his orders. But he was still able to keep it under relative control there for four years, which is a lot more than Biden could accomplish.

But if one steps back and keeps the overall picture in mind, I find the claims by some that the demoralization of the Afghan regime/forces which is allegedly a byproduct of that process/deal was the key to this rapid collapse ..... unpersuasive.
Even, for analysis, granting the premise that any deal with the Taliban would have huge corrosive effect on the regime's ability to operate and resist - which is itself quite reasonable - what was the alternative?
We're not talking about pulling the Colts out of Baltimore in the dead of night here. It is difficult to imagine a disengagement process that could be kept secret, and that wouldn't have the same effect on Afghan regime morale and calculations, *regardless of the details, style, or timing*.

Plenty of trainers have stories about entire groups of Afghani trainees getting frustrated or angry and quitting on the spot during training. The trainees also mostly couldn't read, write, drive a vehicle, and were uncoordinated imbeciles.

Plenty of trainers have stories about entire groups of Afghani trainees getting frustrated or angry and quitting on the spot during training. The trainees also mostly couldn't read, write, drive a vehicle, and were uncoordinated imbeciles.

The Norks may have manpower, but they are in the middle of a drought, and the crop yields are forcasted to be very low - more dandelion soup this year.
PRC has its own problems - rainy season is fast approaching, their mega dam is not repaired fully, and the young Chinese are getting tired of the heavy hand (and surveillance) of the OLD
