I used to be in charge of exit burns- we would practice yearly on the proper procedure for a total burn before a bug out. But this was 30 years ago, and the department, while always left, is now a millenial cesspool. The fact that they were requiring AmCits to request evacuation assitance by filling out an internet form shows how decrepit the consular services department has become. There is supposed to be a warden system to alert in country AmCits of impending danger and what to do in a bugout, to include calling individuals or going to get them if they needed help.

I feel like I wasted my time trying to serve my country to the best of my ability, since it has all been flushed down a squatty potty.

Afghanistan is now a vassal state of Pakistan's ISI and military (which is not the current government). The Pakistan ISI and military's next move will be to take over their own country again. They are supported by the Chinese, which has always had a close relationship with Pakistan (common enemy, India).

Seen that before. One of my kids, who is a musician, commented that on classic rock songs the bass lines are a lot more complicated than bass lines in songs today. The best analogy I could make for him was that to the guys playing bass 50 years ago it was like the left hand on the piano, not just another rhythm instrument.
