The U.S. has got to get the politicians out of the war business. Politicians: fucking up wars since 1945.
- There was plenty of politicians fucking up the war during the Civil War. They even had their version of critical race theory. An episode during the Battle of Petersburg was known as the Battle of the Crater. The idea was to explode a huge mine beneath the Confederate trenches then storm through. Troops were trained specifically for that action. Word came down from Washington, black troops were to be used even if they were not specially trained. The mine blew up, the untrained troops poured in, they couldn't get out, the Confederates shot them down like fish in a barrel. When the US was leaving Vietnam, units moved into base areas that had been occupied by other units to load out. A friend of mine's was scanning a base area with metal detectors for mines before moving in and the metal detectors went crazy. They eventually discovered that a previous unit had buried trucks full of all their "excess" weapons and equipment - dug a ditch, drove them in, covered it over, and left for the US. This has been going on a long time. I doubt seriously that our stuff on a lot of Pacific islands or in Europe ever left after WWII. 136 -- {{{NaCly!}}} Heat has been horrible. Did you hear about the flood here in Omaha? The monument shop had twelve inches of water inside. The XO stopped by last Sunday morning while running errands. So he clocked in and started cleaning up. All day Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, they had all the doors and windows open, hoping to help dry the place out. the owner called in a restoration company. Restoration company says interior dry wall has to go because the water soaked it. So all the sample monuments and markers and other odds'n'ends are piled up in the XO's work area and he is not best pleased.
Just for fun, go to YouTube and look up "Omaha flood". One of those videos was taken just across Center St. from the monument shop. Another was taken in the parking lot of the Hy-Vee just to the east of the shop. There's another video of a couple of guys trapped in an elevator with the water rising to their necks. No, nothing happened to Schloss Sabin. We're up high enough. Gack!!!! I *hate, hate, hate* chiggers. Grew up with them back East. Thankfully, I've only been attacked by the little SoBs once out here. SHANGHAI, Aug 13 (Reuters) -- China announced scores of new carbon-intensive coal and steel projects in the first half of 2021, research showed on Friday just days after a key U.N. report urged immediate global action to curb use of fossil fuels and prevent runaway climate change.
The push comes as climate experts exhort governments around the world to take drastic action amid increasingly widespread extreme weather events, like deadly wildfires, drought and even central China's highest rainfall in 1,000 years -- events that experts say are directly linked to human impact on the environment via carbon emissions. Save the World from the worst of the Carbon Polluters. of course, all the Paris accords, all talks excuse China, and India ... only Western society must be destroyed. what globalists have planned after that, idk.
