California is not Florida, though. I mean, suppose they do run up the totals in those counties over the numbers of registered voters? Who would call them to account? It isn't like the State GOP is up to the task, and I can't imagine it goes anywhere in the courts.

There was a chickadee in the tree just next to me singing " chick a dee dee dee dee dee".
Reminds of of when my boys were in primary school and we lived in a small flat with a great front yard. We hung a bird feeder in the lilac tree and the chickadees would flock the feeder. We often ate dinner outside and I would make up conversations with the birds. It was hysterical. The boys loved it.

This is a good question, and I'm not sure if this can be done or not. In 2020, precincts in Milwaukee had over 100% turnout, and the "excuse" for it was same day registration.
I don't know if CA has that or not, but if they do it isn't from absentee ballots. That pool is fixed based on who is registered.
I do think that if Newsom is going to cheat enough to overcome his current huge deficit, he will need to get help from counties they haven't needed before.
Or he could do the unthinkable, and give the working class voters a reason to not recall him.

Yes, they can impose both as a requirement of employment at any time unless you have a union, are represented by the union and the union gives a damn and raises a stink. At which point they can still fire you but face some repercussions. It does look like if anything happens to you they are libel at least for your stinkin corpse. However, I don't know if that's even been tested. OSHA said a company would be libal if the non-vax harmed you.
Unless you can work it into a race, age, sex, or disability thing an employer can and will do anything to you.

I did that at college a long time ago. I don't know what religion I had to checkmark. I may have become a quaker for all I know. Just because I didn't want the hassle of digging up medical records. The college said ok, that's fine. But we can tell you to stay away if there are any outbreaks.

If you are trying to choose between getting the "vax" and getting the 'Rona....get the Rona. Take ivermectin (even vet type Ivermectin) and then you are over it, and have real antibodies, T-cells and B-cells.
From a paper I read earlier this year, the vaccine(s) do not stimulate a "strong CD4 and CD8 response" - T-cell and B-cell creation. Which means you have antibodies...for a while, then bupkis. I think I read the "half-life" for vaccine induced antibodies was 68 days.

Novamax is still spike-only. It's just another way to induce your immune system to make a (shit ton titer) of antibodies against the spike protein (and this will introduce spike protein into your system as they all do, BTW).
This produces non-sterilizing (leaky) inferior temporary immunity, just like all the others. It does not create any useful memory (T-cell) long lasting immunity.
Now, the Israelis are working on a vaccine that will not target the spike, but 3 other N-proteins of the virus, which are more conserved across mutations. It's still nothing like the T-cell N-protein memory of natural infection, but will (maybe) be somewhat better than the spike shit.

Yes, about 80% of the general population had "resistance" (not immunity) to the 'Rona virus. This was due to cross-reactivity in the T-cell immune memory from other coronviruses those 80% were exposed to. This was proven in lab, and the Diamond Princess early on showed that a large fraction *had to have* some resistance. Ie, couple locked together in a cabin on the ship. One gets it, the other does not. There were many cases like this.
The other 20%, by luck of the immune exposure lottery did not have any such cross-reactive recognition.
Only about 20% of the population were truly defenseless against the virus. Of the other 80% some had better resistance that others, but they all had some resistance.

In a paper I read (from the CDC), there were four coronavirus "cold viruses" identified that have cycled through the population in the last 20 -30 years. They believe that if you had been infected and developed immunity to one or all of these cold viruses, it may have created cross-immunity to Covid19. Which may explain a "not trivial" part of the population already being immune.

Go to the full text, Figure 2, Chart G. On the left is the T-cell profile of natural immunity. Spike is colored purple. Natural immunity pays little attention to the spike.
To the right, the effect of vaccination. It lowers the total recognition and, of that small total, shifts the vast majority to spike.
That spike response in the T-cell memory is useless. It ruins natural immunity.

Why is "spike memory" useless? Here's a very simplified picture of how your memory T-cell immunity works for an attempt at reinfection with something you're previously fought and won.
Your immune system is watching everything coming in the gate, the portal of entry to your body. If it sees something it recognizes, "effector T-cells" go into action.
"Enemy inside the wire! Intruder Alert! Intruder Alert!" You effector T-cells then summon killer T-cells, the soldiers, the strike team. "This is your enemy, men. Seek and destroy!" Your killer T-cells then go and shoot in the head everything that matches the description, including infected cells.
Thus, your immune system destroys the intruder before it gets inside and manages to get a toe-hold. It's like repelling an invasion at the beach.

Now, did you know that coronaviruses hide their spikes at the portal of entry? They don't uncover their spikes until they're ready to infect (it's a lot more complex than this, but this is a basic picture).

I don't know if you're being funny with me but that's where I've been for a while. And life is much better that way.
What I'm talking about is the influence these ops have on our entire society. The pattern right now is to put us all in a weakened state and then to accept their proposed transformation... without realizing either of those two things have happened.

Novavax is still about the spike. It just gives you big initial titer of spike antibodies, like all the others, it just does it in a different way.
It will be as leaky and temporary as all the others.
Again, the Israelis are working on a vaccine that doesn't target the spike, but targets 3 N-protein pieces. That might be better, but natural immunity recognizes far more than 3 of the N-proteins.
As Vanden Bossche has pointed out, the only way to get to a truly effective, sterilizing vaccine is via the live attenuated virus route. Here, you'd be essentially giving everyone a very mild case of 'Rona and getting natural immunity like response.
But this is very hard to do, and would decade a decade or two to do safely. Effective therapeutics were the only sane thing to go for.

Hey pub... wifey is getting frightened by all the news and wants to get one of them. I'm in a cluster with some degree of risk because I am on a medication which does some immunosuppression. No diabetes. Job is pushing me towards it too. I'm trying to figure out which risk I want to take.

I get decent olive oil for cooking in the fall from Partanna with great castelvetrano olives in big cans from Amazon. Olives have been really good and last forever in their juice topped with oil.

Not very many are able to purchase 2 years all at once but what most are able to do is lay in an extra pound or two of rice, flour, salt, cornmeal, oatmeal, pasta, canned tomatos, etc. An extra bit of insurance that doesn't cost much, doesn't spoil, or doesn't take much room. Over time it really starts to add up. Like, almost 2 years now. You should be doing this even if the (expected) lockdowns don't occur. Because nobody has a crystal ball.

I would say that the vaccine is indeed a vaccine but it works on a very specific viral and RBD binding profile and that as the virus circulates through populations it mutates, differentiates (creates different strains), attenuates and modulates to become less deadly and perhaps more infectious to certain populations or less infectious to certain populations.
This is all dependent on a large set of factors.
Bottom line, everything is bullshit and an Op, nobody can trusted because they have demonstrated they can't be trusted.
So, there's that.
