I decided to work my way through this exercise and to see where it might lead me. At the end of the process, I have to admit that I felt just a bit uneasy. Now keep in mind that there could be a vast difference between the data that the government gathers that it determines makes me a national threat and data that only relates to my exercise of free speech without my intending to do anything insidious in this country. Perhaps they should focus some more on sports that don't have the
athletes wearing skin tight uniforms and next to nothing like shooting and archery. Nah those are too violent for NBC to promote in primetime. For some reason, the ogling doesn't happen to the female shotputters and hammer throwers. Posted by: pep at August 02, 2021 09:21 PM (ZsR3z) 86

Interesting Olympic history just learned on YouTube from The History Guy, wonder if its all true.
The 1920 games were held in Antwerp even though the country was still pretty much a disaster from the Great War. The 1916 games were supposed to be in Berlin and we all know the next time games were held in Berlin what happened. 1920 saw the first use of the five rings and first use of the Olympic oath. Also these games saw a new generation of Olympians compete as the Great War and the Spanish Influenza had killed many of the earlier Olympians. The American team was composed of many veterans of the Great War. But getting to the games was an adventure itself. First ship chosen ran aground in Puerto Rico and thus the captured German liner Princess Alice now the Princess Matoika was impressed. Alas the ship had just been used returning American war dead from Europe and smelled. The athletes were consigned to the lower sweltering berths and the food was horrendous. Conditions were so bad more than 100 athletes signed a letter of complaint. Still at the games the Americans won 81 medals. Just looking at Florida data. Vaccine failure is quite evident there now. Infection rates are correlating with the vaccination rates. Worst is the elderly (all those retirees), which are the most vaccinated. 65 and up crowd are over 70% fully vaccinated. Overall risk correlates well with age too. So whether there's any ADE/OAS effects going on, or just failing vaccine efficacy would remain to be teased out. Well that appears to be blowing up in their faces as well looking at the Florida hospitalization data. The most vaccinated elderly hospital rates are going up. ABC News tonight. I force myself to watch once a month or so. It's all lies and omissions. Every single word of it. I use a lot of vintage cookbooks, and shrinkflation is an issue there, too. Lots of recipes call for a package of, or a carton of, etc, which often shrink over the decades.
In one case, a Dromedary brand cookbook with lots of date recipes has an artists drawing of their products on the back cover. I took a magnifying glass to it to discover that, at least according to the artist, a carton of dates when the cookbook was published was 10 ounces. Everybody is selling their home, getting an RV, and
going on the road. Ok, I exaggerate but a whole lot of people are doing this now. I hear more and more each day. People used to go, "well this place sucks, let's move way over to that place that's so much better!". But now every place kind of sucks so people are becoming nomads. Posted by: banana Dream at August 02, 2021 10:00 PM (meTku) if that is what you want to do, and can do it, I say go for it. I have been a lot of places so I can say some places do suck and some are pretty damn good. The difference is stark really, depending on what you are looking for. If you want friendly people and to live in beautiful areas, no question those places exist. Just like how so many places are dumps and most of the people are clueless if not actually unfriendly. It might sound cliche but Red Areas are so much more welcoming, it is pretty much night and day. Posted by: Quint at August 02, 2021 10:15 PM (ZS6f0) 255

I'm not sure what it's going to take, whether they need to be hit upside the head with a 2x4, but a number of things are clearly in alignment for even the most clueless, it isn't "conspiracy theory" when everything is plainly overt and in your face.
If you've been studying at the University in the last several decades it is obvious Whitey McCrackerson is Persona Non Grata. Not just as a student per se, but in society. This has been the implied if sometimes unspoken thesis that was woven through everything. Once you know what to look for, it becomes a game. The difference now, is it has been mainstreamed, it isn't content to use weasel words or ambiguous teaching materials, it isn't relegated to required-for-graduation classes taught by wack job anarchist quack perfessers, it is being deployed to government and corporate world, schools, media, and entertainment. One of the first things that has to happen whenever saboteurs in government or wholever want to start troubles, is a unified approach to demonizing a particular race, or religion, ethnic group, political party, etc. The target group must be "otherized", and made unable to find employment. 1. As the glaring examples of vaccine failure hit, they are going to n-tuple down on blaming the unvaccinated. You're gonna be portrayed as absolute pariahs. The Karens are going to be cheerleaders for this. I'm reading they are fast tracking full FDA approval, and that will be done by the end of Sept. I was hoping there might be a Frances Kelsey or two still in there, but apparently no, and they are being pressured to get 'er done. Once they get full approval, then the vax mandates are gonna kick in like you're never seen. You're going to be under tremendous pressure. The Band received some kind of Canadian award equivalent to a Presidential Model or Kennedy Center Honors here in the US. At the induction ceremony, Garth Hudson had by far the best award speech I have ever heard. He thanked everyone. For several minutes. He named obscure performers no one had ever heard of who played instruments no one had ever heard of, every roadie, every assistant, friends of his parents, and I'm sure some people he just picked from the Ottawa phone book. The other guys caught on to what he was doing after a minute or so and started cracking up, but trying to stifle it because it was an important occasion. Garth did it completely deadpan and finally turned over the podium to Robbie, I think. An impossible act to follow.

"Half-life" of 68 days, and essentially nothing in terms of neutralizing antibody levels after 198 days. And the latest data confirms that the 6 month efficacy at preventing infection is down to 16%. Garth was a Music Teacher, he gave music lessons to the members of The Band before they became a formal group.
I never really understood much about them until later years, reading about their rental house "Big Pink" in the Saugerties, by way of my interest in Dylan. I learned to play the tune a little bit (The Weight) on my guitar, and it even sort of has a little bit of Dylan vibe to it, somewhere in the JWH album frame. Yep, that's the way it's supposed to work. But looks like the memory immunity from these spike shots ain't too hot, is it? I've read several papers on that. There is very little T-cell memory created by these damned shots. BTW, natural immunity doesn't suffer from this little problem (if you don't fuck it up by getting vaccinated). I'm going to try to summarize some highly technical stuff that I was reading, from one of the guys on Denninger's forum about this memory thing and spike-only and the problems with that. I don't understand this stuff in detail, but this guy does, and has opinions. Creating vaccines against coronaviruses is very hard. There's never been a successful one in humans before. They have done it in animals (but they killed a lot of test animals getting it right). I read about this early in 2020 with the vaccine hopium, and that's one of the reasons I was skeptical from the get-go. So, due to the panic and freak-out over this thing, tremendous pressure was put on Pharma and the Top. Men. in the field to make a vaccine. DO IT, DO IT OMG OMG! WERE ALL GONNA DIE. With that and the $$$ signs in Pharma execs eyeballs with all the billions going to be thrown at them, they get reckless and threw caution to the wind. Who watches men figure skating? In tennis, too, I find the women's game easier to watch because it's not as fast and you can follow it better. My daughters and sons played lacrosse, and the women's game (which has no contact, at least not intentionally) is a lot faster and more entertaining. Natural immunity doesn't pay hardly any attention to a coronavirus spike protein. They mutate these so much, it will easily evade, so the immune system, through the school of hard knocks of natural selection has learned to target the more conserved N-proteins, the ones that don't change that much. And guess what? Cornaviruses *hide their* spikes from the nasal and respiratory tract where they first invade. They only "show their spike" in the way a spike antibody would detect later. And (this is what the guy on Denninger's forum was saying) this means that a spike-only vaccine *could never be sterilizing* in the first place. Only an N-protein immunity could be sterilizing (but try that is very hard to do, create an N-protein vaccine that would look like natural immunity). So from the get go, the Top. Men. knew they were gonna make a non-sterilizing vaccine. Posted by: publius, Rascally Rapscallion (Mzdiz) at August 02, 2021 11:19 PM (Mzdiz) 426

You know, I would like to see line-cutting developed as an Olympic sport. Participants would use an axe and/or machete, and would be required to cut a straight line one meter wide through dense second-growth conifers. Distance of one kilometer. You could have singles and two-person teams. Cut trees have to be thrown off the line.
I have had to do this as work, and it is very hard work indeed. Posted by: Alberta Oil Peon at August 02, 2021 11:23 PM (kAO4z) 432
So what the Top. Men. did was come up with the idea of making a vaccine that just flooded the zone with spike protein antibodies. Basically a mass swarm defense. One the virus got in, and activated, this swarm would bind at stop it. This was basically a reckless thing to get results (and $$$) fast. This would get initial efficacy high, but as we see, wane over time (I'm not even considering all the possible side effects, just the efficacy). I was skeptical because a vaccine that elicits antibodies to a single protein on a virus didn't seem like it would be super effective. I have a distant relative who runs a vaccine research lab at Harvard and he has spent his distinguished 30 + year career trying to create vaccines. If it was as easy as grabbing a gene for a single surface protein and injecting it suspended in something that could get it into the nucleus, we would have vaccines for lots more viruses than we have already. I am not worried about the ADE stuff. I think the clotting and the peri/myocarditis are all caused by the antibodies to the spike protein. I am not concerned that the vaccines will make all of your cells crank out spike protein forever. Posted by: Eric Schmidt at August 02, 2021 11:50 PM (YkawN) 486

Here's a paper exploring some of that I was trying to ramble about, which makes some points: https://tinyurl.com/2vyefmyr The front line of defense against these coronaviruses (and other respiratory viruses) is in the mucusa of your nose and respiratory tract. The paper talks about how none of the current vaccines target any of that. They will produce nothing there. Yet, that's where you have to go to get sterilizing immunity. Your natural immunity does just that. Your immune system knows a thing or two because it's seen a thing or two. Quint that's a commonly held misconception. "Legal Tender For All Debts Public And Private" means if you owe USD to somebody, they have to take it. For example, you can always pay your property taxes in cabbage. They don't like it, because it's a pain in the ass, but they have to. Or your brother in law lends you $50, he wants his money back, he can't demand a check. An existing debt.
The grocery store, you haven't bought anything yet. They don't have to take cash, because you don't owe them anything. BUT, by the same token - they don't have to take checks either. Or, they could also say "Cash Only!" if they choose. Heck, they could go to barter. The seller always decides what forms of payment are acceptable if you think about it. So how DID your class go?
.... It was a little different. Usually we ease our way through a particular chapter hitting three to five verses at a time. But I thought it best to read the entire chapter and then revisit key themes so that it was a little more reverse engineered. When a woman gets raped to death and cut into pieces, it requires a broader approach, IMO. The first thing I had to establish was that no one in the story was innocent, including the woman, and to basically point out that a central theme of Judges that is often repeated throughout is that "In those days Israel had no King and everyone did what was right in their own eyes". From this I conjectured that that base nature of humanity when it is apart from following God and absent an earthly king, is essentially that of an animal.
Posted by: Common Tater at August 02, 2021 11:57 PM (UXHfL) ahh, that makes sense. One angle of the "Legal Tender" conundrum, is one theory that would be fun to try.
It goes like this, if you owe a debt to some entity, and they make a stink about Cash, and refuse the cash (and say, demand a check, have them sign a statement. The theory is, that debt is no longer collectable. They refused payment, after all. But, it has to be a debt, as previously described. That's why governments will always take cash, in more ways than one. Them: You owe us $500 Me: OK, here's $500 Them: We don't take cash Me: Sign here... >> I think the clotting and the peri/myocarditis are all caused by the antibodies to the spike protein.
That seems to be the case. The spike protein generated by these vaccines, or pieces of it, leaks into the blood stream, and something about it is pathogenic to endothelial cells. And I read something that the genesis of that is likely the antibodies to it. Some individuals are very sensitive to that, and you get the heart and clotting reactions. Publius and Tater, this is an informative site. Lower right graph shows that the vaccines might lower severe disease probability. It could also be showing that the vaccinated tend to be higher socio-economic, so they start in better health than the unvaxxed in Singapore. Or that they are treated in higher quality medical settings. I would prefer that it showed some vaccine efficacy, but we really will not know for a while. And as I said before, if vaccine production was as easy as Pfizer and Moderna, we would have many more vaccines to more dangerous pathogens than SARS-Cov2

178 A 4th Capitol law enforcement officer is being reported dead by suicide.
Posted by: DaisyB at August 02, 2021 09:53 PM (Hswbs) There are only two reasons for this. First it must have had nothing to do with 1/6, as we all know that was as violent and rough as a normal concert. These cops are well trained and I doubt they'll start killing themselves over the weak crap that happened at the capitol. Second is that they committed that 6 gun shots to the back suicide that tends to happen when you cross a democrat narrative. Posted by: Rbastid at August 03, 2021 12:13 AM (XwTyM) 519
The bar lets you run up a tab? Sure, they'll take cash, OR, you will know in no uncertain terms that is not OK. But it would be "unenforceable" or however lawyers put it. They would have to take cash at the end of the night, but as a practical matter they might say "don't come back again".
There's a lot of things a business can do, but that doesn't mean they should. Accepting any and all forms of payment may make sense, or maybe not. Contractors like cash, I've found. It is useful to sometimes ask (at the right time) "Hey would you discount a little bit for cash?" I remember the guy who replaced the front door in the winter, he built a little tent around everything to keep out the cold, took a while to do everything. If I did it, it would look like an Abstract Art. Hanging a door is "easy" but it has to fit right. He smiled really gratefully when I started peeling off fresh, crisp new Benjamins into his hand. So we are not talking about the Irish Brehon law?
Posted by: Kindltot at August ..... I think Brehon law typically conformed to Christian canonical law, yes? In ancient Israel during the time of Judges, Israel still was filled with heathen religions and Jews that were not conforming with Mosaic law, as the Sanhedrin had yet to be established. During that time, the Lord raised up regional judges to deliver the Jews from various oppression, though the faithfulness of the Jews was always short-lived, as it is in our day with all Christians and Jews. Our sin nature is strong. Posted by: Bitter Clinger at August 03, 2021 12:16 AM (7F9te) 521

Cash is a pain in the ass, from their perspective, because it is. Have to have someone you can trust to take it, count it, keep track of it, and take it to the bank. And then other people try to steal it to. "Shrinkage" is what employees steal. At a bar, it might be a beer, booze, packs of smokes, cash.
Going to a card system cuts out a lot of potential issues for everyone. Theft, robbery, pilferage One thing I've noticed generally, just when society has reached a literal digital Panopticon level, tracking, face recognition, the works - the "authorities" have decided to say "Fuck it, we're not going to prosecute crime anymore". This is really curious. Because finally - after 5000 years or so, they can catch just about anybody, doing anything, if they really want to. It isn't a question whether we live in a police state, the question is why is there so much crime? Posted by: Common Tater at August 03, 2021 12:24 AM (UXHfL) 530

I would suspect that many people who suffer extreme side effects from the vaccine would have suffered extreme effects from the disease as well, because they would be dealing with an infection on top of the anti-spike antibodies. Of course nobody seems to be trying to find molecular markers to try to figure out a way to screen people so we could predict who that might be. I also am comfortable wearing masks, and think a good quality, well fitting mask made of two different types of fabric can help. I travel, shop, interact face to face, etc, and, have observed this phenomenon in every airport and city. Proper masks might be as good as the vaccines. https://tinyurl.com/4sneyemx

Okay, I think (*think*) I've got it why there's no memory T-cell response evident from these spike-only protein. As from what I was going on about above, coronaviruses hide their spikes from the immune system initial recognition. Your immune system will only see the N-proteins. So, once the spike antibodies have waned to nil, along comes the Covid-19 virus which gets into your nose and respiratory tract and starts going at it. Your immune system doesn't see it, even if there is spike memory. Your immune system will start seeing spikes only when enough of the virus is now in your system, after replicating like crazy. Eric, the problem with a new virus, there isn't any T cell memory or herd immunity. And this is almost certainly an engineered virus, some kind of jiggery-pokery gain of function variant, and almost certainly something about specifically they aren't telling us. I don't know what it is, but I'm betting it isn't very comforting.
By the time the vaccine was rolled out, millions of people had already been exposed and/or contracted Covid and recovered. It may be a vaccine is contraindicated for them? Dr. Bossch's conclusion:
"From the very beginning of the mass vaccination program, it should have been clear that because of the intrinsic limitations of S-based Covid-19 vaccines and their deployment in mass vaccination campaigns in the midst of a pandemic, herd immunity was simply the last thing this mass vaccination program could possibly achieve and that moving this program forward would fulfill all the conditions for driving S-directed viral immune escape to eventually result in full resistance of Sars-CoV-2 to the Covid-19 vaccines. Boosting vaccinal Abs with 2nd generation vaccines is not going to solve the issue of immune escape, even if the immunization with 'updated' vaccines would be repeated by 6-month intervals. This is because 2nd generation vaccines will primarily recall S-specific Abs elicited by the first generation vaccines (due to 'antigenic sin' and not be effective against recombinations of Sars-CoV-2 variants, which are highly likely to occur as a result of co-infection, especially in the most vulnerable..." To summarize Bossch in more appropriate language: YOU STUPID FUCKING FUCKS HAVE FUCKED US ALL UP THE ASS. Your goddamned half-assed vaccines had NO FUCKING CHANCE of creating herd immunity even if your managed to vaccinated 100 FUCKING PERCENT OF THE POPULATION! YOU STUPID FUCKS! But that's not the worst of it, you stupid fucking fucks. YOUR HALF-ASSED vaccines are going to ensure the this god-damned virus becomes completely resistant to all your damned vaccines, no matter how many boosters and reformulations you try. Well that makes perfect sense, then. /s
The experts in the US deny that herd immunity can be conferred by naturally acquiring Covid-19 and recovering from it. In fact, they retroactively changed the textbook definition of herd immunity to imply it can only be achieved through immunization. That's not "conspiracy theory", they really did that. Is that misinformation or disinformation? Were they wrong before, or are they wrong now? So then, this other guy says that the vaccine is incapable of achieving herd immunity? Maybe, but then, what is the point? Increased survivability for some. Maybe serious side effects for many, who are at statistically zero chance of getting hospitalized. "There's somethin' happenin' here, what it is, ain't exactly clear." Anyway, they ain't tellin'. Posted by: Common Tater at August 03, 2021 01:56 AM (UXHfL) 583

Welp -- My favorite cousin's wife died of the CCCP virus yesterday. He, her, and several of their close family all came down with it about 3 weeks ago. All have since recovered, except her.
She had been hospitalized for almost the entire time, and finally contracted double pneumonia before dying. She was morbidly obese and diabetic and had refused the vaccine; a mistake on her part if you ask me. But it's still a *somewhat* free country. Anyways, chalk up another death to Fauci and the ChiComs. Posted by: GnuBreed (FoYaR) at August 03, 2021 02:04 AM (F0YaR) 586

One of the "interesting" things I'm reading about obesity and metabolic syndrome and insulin sensitivity and pre-diabetes, all that crap, in addition to a bunch of other stuff, it causes inflammatory issues and screws up how the immune system works. It's possible your cousins wife had Covid-19 before, but didn't get a sufficient response to protect her? Scary stuff. Maybe the Vaccine would have killed her? Would have been worth the risk for sure, I think.

Hm, it does have an "aluminumy" taste to it. Making it stronger does help, I suppose. Crappy coffee is one thing, WEAK crappy coffee, well ... That'll never do.
I added a bit of salt before brewing and that seems to offset that "dry" metallic thing goin' on. It does make a crapload of coffee all at once pretty quick, so there's that. It starts perkin' almost immediately when plugged in, which I do not understand how that works. I guess the small depression in the stem area is the only boiling area. Then a relay or cutout eventually determines it is "done"? The lights dimmed for a second when I plugged it in, LOL. Another peak load power plant comes online when I run this baby! Yeah! I started drinking coffee in the .mil come to think of it. Never really saw the need before. I did then! I picked up a small universal voltage coffee maker that I used for quite a while, and would scam on generator voltage at the TOC once in a while. Made a pretty good cup. Then I bought an MSR X-GK stove and would use our discarded JP8 fuel samples for unlimited supply. That worked pretty good. Now there's an overly complicated, Rube Goldberg contraption affair. But it does crank out the heat to make coffee.
I will say supplying higher ranks and assorted grumpy sorts with fresh coffee in the field isn't unwelcome. Posted by: Common Tater at August 03, 2021 03:53 AM (UXHfL) 659

Good story, red. maybe? KP story: cooks brought over the large (4x2x?) pan they had just baked a shit load of chicken pieces in, and dropped it in the dirt for us to get to, eventually. wind blows, wheeled and tracked vehicles go by, and dust, to include macerated cow flops, blows everywhere.
HC comes along, tries to mock me, then comments about the pan with all the chicken bits in it: "they should have made gravy with this" he said, after he had pulled a small piece off the side of the pan, chewed the good parts off, and then threw it back in. That entire article on the $15 dollar minimum wage is bogus for a couple reasons.
One is that the cities they cite as the best don't have a minimum wage that is that high. That has a bearing on the costs and if $15 was the min wage then I'd bet that the costs there would rise. Second they use a base wage of 2400 BEFORE FEDERAL TAXES. They did this mainly to hide the amount that the fed would steal when all is said and done. Which is blatantly imbalanced. They should be honest and check what things cost more and why and I would bet that the taxes taken out by Federal, State and local are some of the main reasons. Other than inflation and guess who's causing that? Posted by: jakee308 at August 03, 2021 05:06 AM (wb4G5) 671
As far as the "Askhole" I'd be more concerned about whether the advice they didn't take was any good. Cause maybe you're one of those people that folks ask about stuff just so they know what the bad way to think about it is.
If you can't figure out who the mark is, it's you. Twist that around; if you can't figure out who the asshole is, it's probably you. Posted by: jakee308 at August 03, 2021 05:09 AM (wb4G5) 672
