At my day job, the first of our big product launches for the quarter went live at 1AM - the joys of living in Australia but having customers all over the world.

The phone didn't ring.

Anyway, the site did not melt down in the face of a massive marketing campaign, though we did shake loose a couple of bugs and a slow query on a secondary database.
Thought I was going to get away with just a ten-hour day today, but no.

And (I'm sorry no offense) this is mostly the citizens fault.

I have to say, can see the US go/going the same route. I do think the reaction will be a bit different but after what I've seen the last 2 years and the willingness of supposed smart people to acquiesce to orders that deny ones rights and doing little to nothing about it at the time I'm not sure what the outcome will be.

Sure people are up in arms now over a mask mandate but will they defend those of us who refuse to get the vax when almost everyone (well almost 50%) has gotten the shot. They're not going to fight for our right and without a large number of people defending a persons right to refuse to do as ordered by the Gov't illegally we'll get ordered and arrested.

It's not a matter of "If" anymore but a matter of "When".

I've lived thru some rough times but this is the first time I was truly afraid of this country.

Yeah but it's the Post. They've been breaking a lot of news, and Karol Markowitz does a lot there. But that's then used as a list of stories the rest of the media knows to ignore, or lie into obscurity.

They'll keep this up until Cuomo is gone/arrested (which won't happen with all the corruption) and it'll be completely ignored by all other US papers outside of Epoch Times (which also has their own great and much harder version if sudoku)

First was that the press KEPT pushing whatever her problems were, so that they kept reminding her, so that they kept making things worse and worse and intentionally stirring up whatever the mental problem was to begin with. I thought that was an interesting observation.

The second was that whatever medication she used to not be crazy (Adderall?) was illegal in Japan and she wasn't allowed to possess or use it. Seems like that would be a good storyline for the press if true.

Michael Phelps also made a documentary about the emotional rollercoaster of being an Olympic athlete -- training for many years w/little income, sudden fame when you place or win, media cruelty if you then publicly choke or public misbehavior, then back to obscurity. I would bet what Phelps is doing, working w/athletes to handle this emotional stuff, factored into how they are covering Biles.

Maybe if the media would focus on more athletes and sports than just 5 along with the enema of their "human interest focus" rather than on the sports they wouldn't have time to engage in cruelty of some. The girl that won gold in skeet shooting doesn't get any fame or celebrity.

They remained highly recommended and in all facilities and I saw at least 90% face diapers compliance the other day. Now they gladly reimpose them due to CDC recommendations within hours without waiting for any feedback or comments. If there was any doubt this makes it crystal clear who they think they are working for. And it isn't the parents.
