Very Random Videos O Fuck Canada Video of the Day Thousands of indigenous children died - of tuberculosis and other diseases of the day - in government-run boarding schools starting in the 1880s. It got so bad that many of the deaths simply went unrecorded. This has been known for decades and a seven-year inquest published a detailed report on it all back in 2015. So why is it suddenly an headline issue now? Because politics ruins everything. Axolotls Cause Sleep Disorders Video of the Day Hololive JP went axolotl crazy with the new Minecraft release. There's a very rare blue axolotl in the game that has a 1 in 1200 chance of appearing when you breed two axolotls. To breed two axolotls you need live tropical fish, which aren't easy to find either. Kanata (Coco's friend and real-life roommate) bred over 3000 axolotls before finally achieving blue heaven. She spent so much time live-streaming all this that she developed sleep apnea. Here's Officer Oozoru investigating the conditions on Kanata's unlicensed axolotl ranch. Usada Pekora Sings the Opening Theme of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics Video the Day I'm not even kidding. It's called Roto's Theme.
That FrameWork Laptop Might Actually Not Suck Video of the Day Schematics or Die. I don't know the people behind this laptop, but Louis Rossman has been calling out electronics manufactures for years over the irreparable crap they spew out, and he's cautiously optimistic. That Ryzen Alienware R10? Yeah, Nah Video of the Day People have complained - a lot - about the fan noise on these Alienware systems. Now you get to see why. If for whatever reason you get one of these, pay extra for water cooling. The air-cooled model tested here instantly failed thermal testing. You Know What Also Fails Thermal Testing Video of the Day In this case, an RTX 3090 that melts the temperature probe. Disclaimer: In Soviet Russia, temperature probe melts you. Never mind the commies, we need to throw the blockchain people into a volcano.
Or find a roomier volcano. C'mon, man, you got 20 choices... Although detailed statistics are not kept on daily activity, generally there are around 20 volcanoes actively erupting on any particular day. I bet if they had one erupting 500 yards from their home's backdoor, they'd be a whole LOT more interested in detailed statistics. Incidentally, with 20 of 'em poppin' off every day, I can embrace the power of AND. Posted by: GnuBreed at July 24, 2021 01:33 AM (F0YaR) 4

Pixy; if you don't mind I have a personal question?
Are you Aussie or Kiwi? or what?-I ask because I long had great respect for Aussies with they're F off mate attitude towards gov't and all. A do it yourself kind of thing and made no bones about it. Something like I imagine the US used to be like. -And now I see where the Aussies have enacted a lockdown of lockdowns where the gov't actively patrols the skies to prevent any violations and one gal got arrested cause she used a drone to get some cigarettes? W.T.F. A Drone. I didn't realize a drone could transport the virus. (Kiwis have always been socialistic from way back. Visited there in the late 60s so I know what I speak of. Sorry if you're a kiwi. I assume you somehow escaped the brainwashing.) Anyway I just wondered how you are fairing under that lockdown regime and WTF happened to the real Aussies of years gone by. P.S. I've mentioned before; love the tech updates. I can barely understand most of it but I like having a bit of info about that stuff since some of it bears on our future.-Cheers Posted by: jakee308 at July 24, 2021 03:46 AM (wb4G5) 20
I love Pekora. I can't understand some of what she's doing and even with the subtitles on I still can't get what's going on but I love her giggle and mild insanity. (i like the one where she plants fireworks all over and blows the place up)

Posted by: Skip at July 24, 2021 04:08 AM (Cxk7w) Federal Transport Law. There's a sign before every grade crossing that marks when they must begin to blow the horn. Then it's one blast, pause, then 2 blasts, paus then as they pass the crossing one long blast. The rules vary a tiny bit per RR but they must blow the horn at a grade crossing even one protected by crossing gates. Technically a town or city can get a waiver for the horn blowing but the RR doesn't have to follow it they may still blow their horn. It's because of all the nimrods who either can't hear, don't look or are just plain stupid and think that a couple minutes wait isn't doable for their agenda. Believe me I've got a major road comes by and from late in the eventing till about 6 am that's pretty constant and it's only a few thousand feet and up a hill so it gets amplified. Look at it this way (it's what I do) if you didn't have any trains going by we'd (the country) be in very sad shape economically.
I could tell when things were going good in the economy or bad by how many trains went thru town at night. Really. So silence means no trains means no economic activity requiring transport of goods. Posted by: jakee308 at July 24, 2021 04:47 AM (wb4G5) 43

Urgent call! I here ya. 40 years in IT, probably about 35 on-call. Wasn't a problem when it was MVS/VM/Univac. "Midrange" killed it with all the bogus alerts. As our footprint grew we had way to many bogus alerts. CPU was a biggie. Fixing the alert issues was a challenge. Don't wake up the team for bogus crap.
Email for Urgent always got me. If it's truly urgent it should be a phone call. Of course a phone for a 1 out of 77 failure at 4am would result in a lot of open positions as people left. Posted by: JerseyDevilRider at July 24, 2021 07:49 AM (ae/RN) 62

While I've never had a GPU destroyed by a game, I have had my computer bricked, twice, by uninstalling a program made for a subsection of 3D modeling. I'll never touch that company's products again - I had to install for school and a) it's too expensive for a broke ass individual (like just about every program out there, but employers expect employees to buy their own licenses on their own, no I'm not bitter or anything) and b) it bricks computers upon uninstallation.
