It's if the person being cared for gets medicare. And they can't get medicare (at least in our case) unless they have paid providers. So no health insurance or anything.

the walkway is an open grate floor. So you look at your feet and you see the river 150' + below you.
It was definitely a trip.
I got only half way cause a Bridge Authority truck rolled up and the guy said to get in and he'd take me the rest of the way. I said I wanted to walk it and he said In or else (call the cops next I guess) so I got the ride to the other side. I really wanted to walk the whole thing. I'm not sure I could've made it. It was scary to some extent. My mind knew I was safe but my reptile brain was gibbering in a corner.

And they knew about the thrombosis (clotting) when they put this stuff out. It comes from the amount of spike protein agitating the immune system to flood the body with platelets to sweep that protein up.
Dr in Canada says what's happening is micro clotting which then gets out of hand and can flood the lungs/heart with the immune reaction to the spike protein.

Well, finally!
I mentioned last week that I fell down the back steps at my Mom's, with some significant but apparently not permanent damage. I've spent the week here at Mom's, recuperating. And using her net connection with a steady IP. So, yay, on the sockpuppet list again for the first time in a long while. The badly scraped and bruised thigh muscle, the sprained tendons, the cracked back rib, all worth it to get on the list.
Heading home tomorrow to our poor, abandoned kitties... and variable IP.

It appears the spike-protein only immunity is waning over time (and this stupidly, spike-only, is the easiest for the virus to evade by mutation -- natural immunity is to proteins from the whole virus, and that is much harder to evade).

OK, weird health experience here yesterday. I was grilling the lamb chops J loves. Got really tired, couldn't finish, asked her to bring them in. Plates assembled, broc/caul casserole, chops and crispy fries. Meal I love.
I could only eat a bite and had to lay down. Slept fitfully, coughing a lot. No appetite. So today lethargic again, dozed a bit, finally ate the meal tonight.

McGoohan is a pretty clever murderer. But Columbo is clever-er.
My favorite one for the comedic side was the last one McGoohan did, which was pretty close to the last Columbo episode was he played a crooked mortician who had to kill Rue McClanahan, a gossip columnist, who had the goods and was going to expose him
He did things like steal jewelry off corpses and use knowledge gained from rich and famous corpses to blackmail their families.
Columbo does the Columbo schtick of questioning him at a mortician's convention where's he winning their Man of the Year award. In tribute to McGoohan, they sing, "He'll be buried six feet under when he goes, Oh he'll be buried six feet under when goes" to the tune of She'll be coming around the Mountain.

I mentioned earlier in the week a guy who sent a "flounce" email regarding leaving/being removed from a project. Just learned that he died unexpectedly over the weekend. That's all we know for now, but seems like an obvious guess that he killed himself. I actually wondered about that because of some of the language in the email, but I asked someone who worked closely with him (which I didn't), and he didn't think so... I guess I should have pushed more.
I never know how to feel about people killing themselves. Usually a little jealous, if I'm honest. My religious beliefs don't allow me that option.

The mechanics were I was topside and 2 of our friends climbed down, and I lowered him to the two on the ladder and they shouldered him down.
Once the 4 of us got him down the hatch it was easy to get him down the ladder and then into berthing.
Thankfully it was the forward Hatch. Midships or Eng Hatch would be a real bitch and you'd almost need a hoist to not kill someone.

That's interesting, but it's a misleading headline to me. It's an Israeli company developed spyware. Called Pegasus, but who knows who is using it, it's not that the Israeli govt is using it to spy on all mentioned.
Personally I'd be glad if the Israeli govt was spying on them all. They'd do a better job than our IC who seem to think the biggest threat is folks who might post here. Yeah true heirs of J Edgar they are.
