The Moderate, Centrist Candidate Relentlessly Promoted by NeverTrump Is Now Pressuring Tech Monopolies to Censor Your Personal Texts If They Contain What the Ruling Junta Considers "Misinformation"

Muh Norms are being restored left and right!

Kira Davis at RedState:

The Biden administration has failed spectacularly at their goal of getting 70% of the American population vaccinated for COVID by the beginning of July. It was unrealistic in the first place. Most Americans are not hard-wired for obedience, even if COVID lockdowns proved too many people seem to be...

Now Biden's team and surrogates are making plans to censor your private text messages the same way Big Tech censors your social media posts.

In addition to their KGB-for-dummies plan of knocking on your door to inquire about your personal medical decisions, the White House plans to activate left-wing groups and activists to put pressure on phone carriers to censor SMS text messages that may contain "misinformation" about COVID, the vaccines, and heaven knows what else they may consider to be wrong information.

From Politico:

Biden allied groups, including the Democratic National Committee, are also planning to engage fact-checkers more aggressively and work with SMS carriers to dispel misinformation about vaccines that is sent over social media and text messages. The goal is to ensure that people who may have difficulty getting a vaccination because of issues like transportation see those barriers lessened or removed entirely.

"We are steadfastly committed to keeping politics out of the effort to get every American vaccinated so that we can save lives and help our economy further recover," White House spokesperson Kevin Munoz said. "When we see deliberate efforts to spread misinformation, we view that as an impediment to the country's public health and will not shy away from calling that out."

Via Tim Pool, two thirds of Americans say they already censor themselves due to the conformist pressure to repeat the official corporate propaganda -- but that's not enough for the Ruling Class.

The poll of 1,462 people found 18 percent said they censored themselves "all the time" while 48 percent said they did so "sometimes."

Fifty-nine percent of those asked deemed current levels of censorship in the United States to be "out of control" and "unacceptable," according to market research firm Invisibly, which is backed by Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund.

Most respondents, 91 percent, said they had a negative view of censorship.

Flashback to May:

Nobody can deny that there has been a massive amount of censorship taking place in the social media arena but what some have only suspected to be true is that the government is behind it. That is, until now. The Montana Daily Gazette, one of our sister publications, first reported that Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai publicized court documents that prove the U.S. Government entered into a formal agreement with Big Tech to censor speech they did not agree with.

As Montana Daily Gazette reported, the combined federation of Big Tech companies is, effectually, a monopoly holding at least 90 percent of the current combined market share in social media. These would include such companies as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and other tech companies that make sharing viewpoints in the public square available to its users.

...

As reported by the Montana Gazette, the court documents focus on an invention called Twitter Trusted Partnership and Twitter Partner Support (PSP) Portal. This, according to the Gazette, "is the means and mechanism by which federal or state governments can issue a 'censorship order' to Twitter, which has agreed to comply with such orders, as the price of avoiding regulatory oversight."

....

A few key points from the court filing are:

...in 2017, in cooperation with state officials and that they created a new centralized Governing Coordinating Council (GCC) that brought together both state and federal officials to create an electronic infrastructure for surveilling speech and monitoring "Influence Operators."

...began formulating and designing the framework for silently violating the free speech rights of US persons by first characterizing speakers as "Influence Operators" (IOs) thereby fabricating a sinister connotation where none exists, as the ideological framework to justify canceling speakers who exercise their right to express their opinion

That a partnership between Big Tech and state officials created a Playbook which is described in the court filings as a "step-by-step manual on how state officials can deal with 'Influence Operators' and prescribes the Best Practices that must be followed."

The manual, according to the court filing, "promotes a unified effort that results in speed, simplicity and efficiency," and "provides all the tools that a state official would need to silence a person identified as an 'Influence Operator' for opining that a state election official has violated Federal law."

And don't forget -- FaceBook's fact-checker on Covid is itself China-linked, and naturally censors stories suggesting that the Chinese created covid-19 in the Wuhan lab.

Lead Stories -- a so-called "fact-checking" outlet partnered with both Facebook and the Chinese Communist Party-linked TikTok app -- has launched a campaign to defend Wuhan Institute of Virology collaborator Ralph Baric after The National Pulse unearthed his 2018 remarks outlining how to "make money" from pandemics.

Representing yet another conflict of interest, Lead Stories is funded in large part by Facebook, whose founder Mark Zuckerberg’s personal charity has sent six-figure grants to Baric.

As revealed by The National Pulse, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative awarded a $433,000 grant to Baric's University of North Carolina Chapel Hill lab for coronavirus research.

One day after The National Pulse published the article revealing Baric's how "to be prepared and make money in the next pandemic" slide, Lead Stories had the article removed from Facebook.

There are a shit ton of laws and regulations that have to be ignored to enable this sort of spying.

Not that mere law means anything anymore.

8 So one of the things the COVID brainwashing op has left our society with is a rather sudden widespread acceptance of censorship, invasion of privacy, and related techniques.

Things that would have been rejected out of hand by all but the most deranged only a few years ago are being floated daily. Each day a new nudge. Real censorship has never been tried.

44 I commented on this yesterday, but this is psychologically an interesting and dangerous move. Most people, if they sat down and thought about, would acknowledge that Big Tech and Big Telephone are more alike than they are different.

But that's the rational side of things. Viscerally, they're very different. Everyone just expects to be spied on while using the internet. They're tracked and manipulated at all times and everyone knows it. Phones are different, though. There's much more legacy. Phones are viewed as generally sacrosanct, with many exceptions and warrants and the like needed to fuck with the phone system.

This will change that. This will put the Telcos and Big Tech into the same mental space in a whole lot of people. Trust - and many people, most probably, *do* generally trust the phone company - will go right out the window. It would be nearly as severe as the state tampering with the mail. It will be bad indeed when they do this.

So I hope they do. People need to learn that there are no trustworthy businesses or institutions left anywhere, in any industry.

They're flailing. Trump was a sign that they had lost control. They thought that they had 2020 in the bag, but had to pull out last minute ballot dumps which made it obvious that they were cheating. Basically everything going on in the world, financially, politically, culturally, is a series of quick fixes to whatever problems pop up, only to discover that in doing so they've created a bigger problem down the road. Like a spendthrift who can't break the habit, so borrows increasingly large amounts of money from increasingly more expensive sources.

On the 70% of the public vaccinated, does 70% of the public even need it? That's not snark, I'm legitimately curious.

How many people have medical conditions that contra indicate getting it?

How many people are under 18?

How many people are under 12?

How many people had COVID and thus do not need a vaccine?

Why is that information so difficult to obtain?

But you cannot coordinate with third parties to abrogate the law, and then act as a disinterested third party. The fact they are outsourcing and them coordinating to achieve those limitations is a conspiracy and scheme meant to achieve that which it could not do directly.

So be it. 1A protections were against the government because, at the time, there was no such thing as -- and nobody ever thought there would ever be -- mass censorship by monopoly "private" companies controlling most of modern communication. Now there is. So under liberals' own theory, the 1A should be flexibly and breathingly applied to these private companies. See how easy this is? Penumbras, baby!

Can it be spread asympytomatically?

What easy steps can one take to mitigate COVID besides the Quintuple Threat of staying home, not socializing, washing your hands, wearing a mask and staying safe?

Are there otc supplements? Weight and exercise recommendations?

90 I remember people actually laughing at me (not y'all) when I said they're combing your text messages. You do not have privacy, at all. It was already obvious a long time ago that DM's are the same as anything you post for public consumption. Just less people see it.

Are they listening to your voice messages during phone calls? Of course not. They've got computers doing that, triggered by keywords. Then, they'll capture your entire call as well as start paying attention to whoever you're in contact with. Orwell had no idea how important the technology end would be, but he got the gist of it. And, if you've got Siri or Goolag homespy, nest or any of those other "helpers" you're not even safe taking a dump.

So when a black person says, all white people are racist. And therefore are calling me racist, without knowing a thing about me. They are insulting me, and I hate them.

106 Most people, if they sat down and thought about, would acknowledge that Big Tech and Big Telephone are more alike than they are different.

Very true, although in the 70s, 80s, and 90s there was a huge war between tech guys ("net-heads") who thought the Internet would take over everything and the phone guys ("Bell-heads") who thought packet-switching wouldn't scale and you'd need dedicated lines to each device.

The tech guys won that quite decisively.

You can get Quercetin over the counter or from vitamin/supplement places, or Amazon (ick).
Quercetin acts a lot like HCQ as a Zinc Ionophere. Mercola had a long video chat with Dr. Zelenko, who was one of the first to suggest HCQ. And HCQ only works with Zinc, and early on in the Covid19 infection.
You can also get veterinary Ivermectin (a lot of people use this) and the dosage directions are on Anne Barnhardt's web page.
America's Frontline Doctors can be reached, and for a $95 consult fee, telemedicine, they can and will prescribe HCQ and maybe Ivermectin.
Ivermectin is a very effective treatment AND prophylaxis for Covid19 (and some other viruses).
It is not expensive and ONE DOSE a month is prophylaxis against Covid 19.

But, obviously, that's a who watches the watchmen sorta situation.

218 Zinc opens cellular barriers for the hcq to get into the cell. As I understand it....

Good information, for the rest of it. Thanks.
Posted by: Flyover

No, actually that's backwards.

The HCQ (or Quercetin) helps transport Zinc into the cells. They are both Ionophores (Ion transport molecules, such as Zinc Sulfate). Zinc kills viruses because it stops certain metabolic actions that viruses need to reproduce and further the infection. Your body's cells naturally inhibit the transport of Zinc across cell membranes. Because Zinc (in excess) can also be somewhat harmful to normal cells over an extended period of time.
HCQ is generally NOT toxic (some people have had heart issues with it), but it was on the WHO's list of essential medications (as it is a prophylaxis and treatment for malaria).

So - why in G-d's name, if you KNOW this, would you answer them honestly when they call to find out if you're the kind of terrible person who might have possibly considered dangerous ideological heterodoxies without immediately demanding the cancellation of the person who uttered them?

If one of these people called me, it would just be "fuck yeah, censorship fucking rules, I love it, I wish Oliver Darcy lived in my house to guide my every single thought with his enormous wisdom and tolerance."

Ghosts are an acceptable level of crazy, provide one isn't seeing them ever 5 mins or every time the lights go out, or they are obsessed with exploring every "haunted" location they can find online.

But like you said, it is often the path to more crazy.

And women tend to put up with men's sports obsession, and as many of us who've decreased/killed that in the wake of sports going broke and look back now, is that really much crazier than ghosts? At least most ghost believers don't wear coats proclaiming their crazy.

341 Back in the 70's the local university had a program where local families could act as a local family to foreign grad students (travel was still expensive). We had an Iranian engineering student, and a neighbor family had a young Iranian couple. So for Thanksgiving, we decided to celebrate all together, thinking that the Iranians might enjoy having fellow countrymen at the table. HA! Turns out under the Shah, private speech was reported on, to the point that even immediate family members were not comfortable speaking freely among themselves. When the Iranians realized they were to have dinner with another, the couple immediately excused themselves and left, while our student explained why: they believed that he would report on what they said, and he was concerned they would report on him.

Is this where were; headed, with Big Tech censoring private conversations and FBI posting tweets encouraging people to report on their own family members for 'white nationalist' badspeak?!?
