The Morning Report - 7/1/21

adamsappl.jpg

Good morning kids. Thursday and as July begins, things are heating up, especially in the absolute debacle of the Democrat primary for the NYC mayor's race. For many of you, I know the sentiments about this city are colorful, manifold and direct. Hell, I still live here and I feel the same way. But what's going on here has ramifications politically, not just in deep blue urban shit holes which, sadly, tragically, New York has been rapidly transformed into, but into suburbia and exurbia as well. Plus, the parallels between what happened on the night of November 3rd-4th 2020 are in your face. Funny how declarations of "stolen elections" aren't the realm of tinfoil hat conspiracy nutters. Not when it's Democrats hurling the accusation.

From Election Day to whenever the result arrives, via a puff of smoke or whatever means they choose to announce it, chicanery and shenanigans are more than merely possible. There's a lot at stake in this election; not least is the possible discrediting of Bill de Blasio and the entire "defund the police" project. Eric Adams, a former cop, ran on a law and order platform. By the end of Election Day, he looked to be cruising to a win. In deep blue New York City.

That's no small thing.

Then all Hades broke loose when the city released a vote total that included 100,000 more votes than were cast on Election Day despite the fact that the absentee vote hadn't been counted yet.

Adams raised his hand and questioned what was going on, as anyone might expect in the circumstances. Liberals pounced on him. Glenn Greenwald caught 'em pouncing and also called them out for trying to slip away once the city announced that it somehow, accidentally, included 135,000 test votes in its ongoing actual vote count.

Among the questions all this raises is, just how incompetent is Bill de Blasio's New York City?

Another question this raises is, are the Democrats who run that city gaming the ranked-choice count to keep Adams out of Gracie Mansion?

His win could humiliate de Blasio... Adams ran on undoing what de Blasio has done to the NYPD. All that has to be taken into account.

Plus, Adams is black . . .

. . . The left is living in dread fear of losing minority votes. That's powering their divisive and nakedly racist policies now. They actually believe that undermining the entire American project and teaching us all to hate each other is their path to retaining power. And they may be right! . . .

. . . There's motivation for Democrats to cheat, and where they can, they do. They control everything in New York. Eric Adams poses a grave threat to them.

There's a lot at stake here, and as important an issue that it is, it's not just about the abolition of policing. Don't forget that just as this is erupting in New York, the election audits in Georgia and Arizona are coming to a head - - election audits that the Democrat Propaganda Complex were and still are shrieking their heads off about. Well, if Joe Biden really did win legitimately in a landslide and all this talk about the 2020 election being stolen is nonsense, then QED an audit would prove that fact, would it not? Now, Adams, a black man who is obviously getting fucked over by his own party puts that party in a bit of a pickle.

As New York and dozens of other cities burned over the course of last summer, the official response from everywhere was to defund the police. Now that position, despite the best efforts of Propaganda Inc. to brainwash you otherwise is political poison. And defunding the police is also a central pillar of BLM, Antifa, Crackpot Disg-Race Theory and all the other cancerous poison being force-fed on us. They are inextricably linked. If one goes down, then the danger is the entire house of race cards collapses in on itself with it. Sure, the pretzel logic explanations and denunciations will flow. Already, pinheaded talking fistulas like Piss-Hockey Psaki are not only distancing themselves from the entire defund the police madness, they actually have the unmitigated gall to declare it was the Republicans who are defunding the police! A brontosaurus with the esophageal capacity of Kamala Harris ain't gonna swallow that one.

Again, Eric Adams is black and a Democrat. Trivial as it might seem, it is a big deal. If a toilet floods in Atlanta again, or a blackout suddenly happens in the Baking Apple and Adams' lead evaporates in the dead of night, he is not going to go quietly.

A few observations:

Ranked choice voting is nothing more than yet another attempt for the powers that be to control the outcome of elections. No doubt it was in that dead (for the moment) HR-1/S-1 "For the People" Act. It's a friggin' insult to the notion of fairness. One legal registered voter with valid proof of identity, one vote, one day only. The one with the most votes at the end of the day wins. Yet somehow, this is racist and disenfranchises everyone but male white supremacist insurrectionists. And to ask how it does that is male white supremacist insurrection, so don't bother.

People are fleeing New York, as well as California and all the other areas of mostly peaceful scorched earth rioting. The question is, after all of this, are they going to continue to behave as Mark Levin labels them, locusts that vote for the people and policies that caused them to flee in the first place? For sure, some will. But unlike migrations in the past when the country was relatively stable and people were leaving for tax purposes while still espousing their liberal bullshit, what's going on now is literally life and death. And yet somehow, Eric Adams won the primary of a far left party in the nation's quintessential far left bastion running on a platform that is in direct opposition to what that party stands for. Cognitive dissonance of both Adams and his supporters or a sign of major changes?

Something's gotta give.

It's becoming more and more disturbing to realize how purposeful it was that hundreds of thousands of Americans were intentionally killed, and millions more lost their jobs, and 40% of small businesses where permanently closed down forever and ever while tanking the best economy in 50+ years.

It's so disturbing your mind won't really let you look directly at it for long. I sort of like the reparations angle, it makes it so much easier to dismiss all of this hype and marketing as just a craven way to extort money out of otherwise amiable people.

If the roles were reversed, the targets of reparations would rightly and loudly point out the ham handed thuggish and greedy nature of those demanding reparations. There sure as heck wouldn't be any collective guilt.

++++
Extremely, but it goes beyond mere incompetence. It's malicious incompetence. They're clearly cheating. For some perspective on this, I wanted to know what the election night vote total was. That wasn't in any of the articles - just the as-of-then percentage breakdowns. What I found eventually is that as of 23:00 on election night, there were about 530k ballots cast, with an estimated 125k absentee ballots outstanding.

135k is too many. Those aren't test votes. We'd expect maybe 20 test votes per machine (every candidate, every party, every machine), but that doesn't explain 135k. 135k isn't test vote, it's a test *election* and it that raises even more questions. They fudged more vote than they have absentee ballots, and it's 20% of the actual total. They went bonkers.

74 135k is too many.

Okay. I'll play.

Not all black people have been denied wealth, or even a comfortable middle class lifestyle. Many have worked hard, made the correct choices, showed up to work, learned their jobs, and advanced accordingly.

If so, why? What is the shared common genetic trait that you're saying black people have?

Sure, that's possible. They planned to dump the absentee vote, slide in their "correct" totals, and then certify. I could buy that.

But it still ties in to the same underlying point: they're both malicious crooks *and* incompetent idiots. Both conditions appear to have maximized in the NYC primary.

The CRT proponents in our Bright Blue Suburb do this in email "surveys" to parents in which they present five choices to questions such as "How uncomfortable are you talking about race?" with responses ranging from "not at all" to "slightly" to "extremely" etc.

Then they lump together their preferred 3 or 4 responses and "inform" the district of such things as "90% of our respondents are uncomfortable talking about race .... More Needs To Be Done !!!

Of course "get the f*ck outta here" is not one of the choices, or "stop making everything about race" And, of course, this tactic specifically taught to commie "community organizers" in their course materials on the web.

And they can't play their reserve card on this one, either. In the Before Times, when NY was short on power, they could buy it from Canada. It was expensive, but available.

YES

Apart from the obvious, that it is designed to help the 2nd place candidate get elected* over the candidate with the most votes, this is a key tool for stealthily stealing an election.

If ou election has ranked choice voting, then the "feature" of weighted ballot counting is enabled. SO it;s not one person, one vote, it's one person, fractional votes.

This will make it infinitely easier to manipulate ballot counts (just tweak the weighting more for Biden, I mean, your guy) and you have plausible deniability.
I don;t recall where, but part of the 2020 steal included precincts w/no ranked choice voting having their ballots counted fractionally in Dominion. So for every 1 vote DJT got, Biden got something like 1.21.

A few years back, I took my folks on a road trip to look at places they might want to move when they retire. One place we went was a lovely little village in North Carolina where they used to live long ago. It didn't make the grade for retirement (absence of medical facilities), but it was a nice trip down memory lane for them.

When we were there, we saw a large estate that was covered with solar panels. It was hideous. A signal that says, "We can't reveal our true intentions just yet. The other side might connect the dots and then we'll be out of power.

We just have to be more careful and keep the lie going for a little longer until our side gets true wealth and power. Then we go for the killings."

I actually hope they do it at this point. Not because black Americans deserve reparations, or that I deserve to pay them, but because of what it will cause. If they decide to do it, then they have to determine qualification and that is going to get very tricky indeed. "How black are you" is going to become a legally-valid question, and indeed a question that *must* be asked.

I have laid in reserves of popcorn for when the state is forced to draft and pass our very own Nuremberg Laws. It oughta be lit as fuck.

141 Good morning all, and a hearty thanks + HB to JJS.

Now, I'm sitting back and grinning like an idiot at the idiots in NYC trying to scam an election primary, and incidentally proving Trump's legitimacy on his questioning the nationwide 2020 results.

And I thank them. But I do have (a very obvious question) to wonder how so many of those "test" votes, enough to narrow the gap between Adams and Garcia, just so happened to be for Garcia. About a 100k swing out of 135k. Rats refusing Cheetos on the streets of Times Square would be less suspicious.

From a 12% lead to less than 3% -- I mean, if someone was just punching in random vote totals, why not votes for Trump or Mickey Mouse? Neither is running for mayor, you could see if the tallies were working properly, etc etc etc.

But they chose to use a real live candidate, with a massive vote advantage for their "test". FAIL FAIL FAIL. And then "forgot" to clear the test.

My understanding is that it will not be like that in the slightest. The money will be sent to "black communities," as in untold amounts of our money will go to progressive activists, academia, agitators, and other African-American auxiliaries, so that the "elite" becomes ever so entrenched, and the only way normal people look at that money is if they're affiliated with one of these progressive choke points.

That way, when their plans fails, they'll just circle back to "even this amount is not enough to uproot the poison of white supremacy" and demand money in infinitum. As J.J. already mentioned, $25 trillion has already been invested to help African-Americans, and major cities have been Democrat run for 50-100 years. But you're not allowed to notice.

If you have a single family home, in an area that gets good sun, solar is fine for powering your home thereby freeing you, somewhat, from the idiocy of the power companies. Anything larger than that is pretty much fantasy.

There has been that. Since his last game, inflation has been about 60%, so effectively the extremely long-term contract works against him in that respect. But by taking the extremely weird payout deal, Bonilla got a much bigger contract than he would have on a normal deal structure. He's likely coming out ahead as compared to where he would have been on a standard structure, especially given that taxes are lower now than they were when he signed.

205 >>Is this where ballot are rejected for mismarks and misreads and then BATCH reallocated to each candidate?

No, this is where the system splits a single vote.
For example, if a voter selected a 1st and 2nd choice candidate on the ballot, then their 1 vote would NOT go to candidate 1. Only a fraction of it, such as .7 goes to candidate choice #1, and the .3 goes to 2nd choice candidate.

This is working as designed, provided the weighted count amounts (.7 and .3 are correct -- in this case, I made up these numbers). BUT, this opens up possibility for stealth shenanigans if the Dominion person tweaks the fractions to one candidate's benefit.

But the important part is that this feature resides in Dominion machines where ranked choice voting is not applicable, either because the state does not support it, or it does not apply to presidential elections. The feature can then be used on the sly to affect the non-applicable elections, as was seen in some 2020 precincts.

Sorry, I was wrong. The Mets owed Bonilla $5.9 million. Which they still didn't have. If Bonilla had gotten it, invested and sat on it (I know, stop laughing), he would have had over $100 million. Doing the same with the annual payments, he would make some $90 million. So Bonilla lost $10 million by taking the deal.

PA Democrat Governor Vetoes Election Reform Bill that Mandated Voter ID

Quick point on this. This is not a bad outcome necessarily, and could end up with Wolf voted out.

The heavy use of Absentee ballots in PA was due to Wolf's emergency orders. The legislature just stripped him of those powers, thanks to a ballot initiative in a special election.

Election law in PA reverts to how it was previously, where PA was one of the few states without "no-cause" absentee ballots. This makes it harder for Philly to cheat because they have to do it through election day fraud. Remember, Trump was way ahead after election day. It was the absentee ballots that were used to steal PA.

Yeah. Watching the Progressive square sexual mutability with racial immutability is going to be fun, especially as they continue to degrade sex. It used to be that for a dude to be a lady, he'd have to wear makeup and get tits bolted on and shit. Now, though, he can just identify as whatever, whenever, in the name of "gender fluidity."

So they've even removed external characteristics from the identity. The sex side is making things harder on the race side every day. The gymnastics will be amusing, once I bring myself to yell "YOLO" and just watch it burn.

It works for a single family residence. It doesn't scale up for commercial interests. Plan a solar panel farm, battery room and line loss for just one 72 story high rise. Include land needed for panels for EVERYTHING needed to juice a building for 24 hours. Lights, cooling, heating, elevators, escalators, computers, radios, etc.

Everything that is plugged in has to be figured out and provided for. Everything.

Maybe it's "green" related, maybe not. It could be the normal crime and incompetence causing problems in grid maintenance, too. There's more crime and incompetence every year.

Where I am, it's a semi-routine thing. Almost all of our power here is nuke and hydro, and it is extremely reliable - but our local grid is all above-ground and the environment is densely forested and wet as hell. Most of our power outages - and we have a fair number of them - are due to tree falls. Thankfully, the power company here also has its shit together and isn't too corrupt and incompetent, so when it happens they get it fixed fast. I've only ever had one power outage lasting more than 20 minutes.

If it is grid tied solar, it has to go down with the grid so it doesn't energize lines when workers are repairing them. The power company knows when they deenergize a grid by opening the major breakers that they control, but they don't know if the breakers are open for all the houses with solar because the home owners would have to open their own breakers.

So the codes require grid tied solar to go dead with the grid.

267 Thanks, Jewells. I think what really rankles is the plot. Oh, I know a true artist can wring a great variation on even the most hackneyed plot, but 'lonely man buys sexbot' is far from original. Hell, even Lars and the Real Girl had an interesting take, despite being a mess of a movie.

Whatever. It's another hot day and I'm just in my usual cranky-before-work mood.

270 I dunno. I suspect strapping slaves into low-friction stationary bikes attached to gensets is egregiously carbon-negative when you consider how much people *eat.* Horses would be better, if you're going to go down that road.

I ran the numbers some time ago on the cost differences between commuting on a bicycle or on a motorcycle. I didn't go into the secondary or tertiary effects (such as health benefits or risks of cycling in traffic).

Just on the cost per calorie, unless one is eating a lot of cheap pasta, it costs more per mile to bicycle. I don't know what the CO2 differences would be because the degree of conditioning, traffic and weather probably make quite a bit of difference.

I suppose wind turbines and solar could power pumps to elevate water behind a hydro and use the reservoir as a battery, but could probably serve to desalinate water and do other operations that could probably be performed in semi-scheduled batches.

297 Actually, one sexbot story I thought was darkly funny was one where an engineer took a new model home for a beta test. After a certain sex act, which the engineer proclaimed was "the best ever!" the 'bots programming adjusted to perform only that sex act an an increasing and demanding frequency. When the engineer tried to shut off the 'bot, she not only blocked his ability to do so, but began cutting off any outside communication and preventing him from leaving the house, on the presumption that she could provide comfort, sexual stimulation and food, so he would have no reason ever to leave.

The story ends with the engineer on a secret line desperately trying to get his company to come and disable the 'bot while it tears the house apart searching for him and threatening to sex him to death for his intransigence.

306 154 I'm not a lawyer and I don't want to be one. But, can anyone explain what happened in the Bill Cosby case? Was it prosecutorial misconduct or what?
___________

Here's what happened:

Andrea Constand, a lesbian basketball coach at Temple U, made a sexual assault claim against Cosby. The D.A. at the time investigated the claim, and determined that it wasn't particularly credible, and that he had no chance of getting a conviction against Cosby due to all the inconsistencies in Constand's story, the fact that she waited a year before coming forward, the fact that she'd continued calling and socializing with Cosby, and the fact that she appeared to be trying to shake him down for money.

The D.A. then made a public announcement that he would not be prosecuting Cosby for the alleged assault on Constand, and that he expected that she would proceed with her civil lawsuit and get her justice in that venue.

Cosby's lawyers asked the D.A. to sign his public statement that he wouldn't prosecute Cosby, which he did, and Cosby's lawyers told Cosby he now had to testify in the civil suit, since he had immunity from criminal liability.

310 Would like to know more about rooftop solar?

1. You say electricity is basically $0, but what was up front cost?
2. You don't have batteries - do you need those, or just to store electricity. Is that where the really cost is?

1. I don't recall the exact numbers but it was a good bit. I went for some upgrades. At the time that I got it, Obama was still prez and was shutting down reliable power plants. I could foresee electricity prices skyrocketing and wanted to be less reliant.
2. Having batteries is not required for the $0, just a power company that pays you for the excess you put into the system. The batteries, and load systems, allow you to be disconnected from the grid entirely - although not likely forever.

Here is a youtube channel (https://bit.ly/2TpiH60) that explains a lot about various systems. They're an installer but the guy does a really good job doing pro/con at least of systems.

Tesla makes a battery unit called a powerwall, it can store enough energy to power a small home.

Seems nice. Couple of problems.

Most municipalities will not allow you to store solar or wind generated energy in batteries at scale, you must re-supply the grid.

These solar systems are fantastically expensive when compared to a gas powered generator and simple back feed/interlock system circuit breaker setup.

You have to replace your powerwall every 10 years at least at tremendous cost.

Also the cost to maintain and replace alternative energy systems is expensive. Again, alternative energy is bullshit.

329 Cosby did testify in the civil lawsuit, and he made some damaging admissions related to other women, not Constand. Cosby then settled the civil lawsuit with Constand, and agreed to pay her just under $3.4 million to end the matter.

Fast forward a decade. There is now a new D.A., and a bunch of other women have come forward and claimed that Cosby assaulted them too. Cosby can't be prosecuted for these other women's claims, because the statute of limitations has passed. So the new D.A. decides to prosecute Cosby for the Constand alleged assault, and use the other women as evidence of Cosby's "pattern or practice" of assaulting women.

Cosby's lawyers object and say you can't do that, he has immunity as a result of the prior prosecutor's promise. The trial judge says no, that promise wasn't enforceable. So Cosby is forced to go to trial (twice), he gets convicted (mainly because of the testimony of the other women), and goes to prison. Cosby appeals, and the PA Supreme Court says the first D.A.'s immunity deal must stand, so the prosecution of Cosby for Constand's claim was illegitimate, and he must be released.

Why? I don't pay less for any line power that I use just because I have solar. I provide to the system, they pay me, I take from the system, I pay them. It evens out.

332 Anyone know what batteries would cost to realistically store enough power from solar panels to operate normal stuff in a normal household (AC, dishwasher, etc) without planning and monitoring so that you don't run out of power daily and have enough to do it each day over the course of a month?

For one, you don't run your dishwasher and heavy draw equipment from battery, you run it while the sun shines. I have the house equipped with an extensive UPS system and there were a number items that were certainly No Go. It was tough justifying the refrigerator.

333 It works for a single family residence.

Everything.

:: puffs joint ::

This is why you need to use solar glass for the windows, which gives you huge coverage of PV capacity. For tall buildings over 30 stories, you can place windmills on the face of the building at certain intervals, generating even more. Then there's always roof area and space committed to parking lots today. With the reduction of parking facilities courtesy of better public transit, that space is now available for more solar capacity.

This is a solveable problem. We just need to get more creative. man.

334 t's an exercise in what you need. Look at your power requirements as you would for a generator. I'm going to guess you probably need 10kwh for your house. There are probably calculators on the net to do that for you if you don't want to do math

You'd have to route off of I-80 and hook south on major through streets across southern Chicagoland through places like Joliet.

This is what I used to do anyway, when I drove 80 a lot. The toll ways and construction and congestion through Chicago made the long southern detour worth it. It never took longer, and was usually faster.

357 >> This Brittany spears thing is bizarre.

Right?

I think it's this: back when Brittany had her meltdown it was the height of the mean girl paparazi - gossip blog - entertainment media era. They shamelessly, mercilessly mocked and fed on Brittany's fall from grace along with others, such as Lindsay Lohan.

However, in 2021, with the new woke rules for treating public women, especially celebrities (think #MeToo), these same groups -- entertainment media, gossip blogs, and the people who ate up this coverage -- now realize their past behavior was abominable. What's made it worse, though, is that there's a new documentary about all of this, called "Free Brittany," I think.

So, they are now having their hideous behavior shown to a new audience along with seeing their part in Brittany Spears beng put under a controlling conservatorship for years and years (still in place today).

That's why it's a thing -- it's the media having to discuss the media's bad behavior, so they are now casting themselves as Brittany's saviors against those appointed by the courts to control her life.

(And yes, I hate that I know this)

Sometimes I would just bring a few sets of clothes in on those days that motoring is by far the better option (e.g. predicted heavy rainfall or dramatic change in temperature / cold front).

I'm not trying to sell you on solar.

I've been happy with my system. The payoff is 10 years and it'll bump the value of my house when I sell it.

I don't buy into the green bs. My purchase was entirely based on protecting myself from cost increases from the government helping me.

405 I'm no fan of Britney. But I am a fan of individual freedom. These conservatorship laws are ripe for abuse and worse, the courts have continually reinforced them. They are especially being used where someone is wealthy, to separate them from both liberty and property that is rightly theirs. How in this country, can someone essentially be forced into sterilization or given lawyers which are basically under the control of the conservator? It's one thing if a person is elderly and demonstrably suffering from dementia. But that should not supersede their prior wishes and will. It also should not be a process by which the people running the conservatorship get rich or otherwise confiscate the property of an individual. There are so many fundamental problems with these arrangements, I am glad Ms Spears is shining a spotlight on it. She may have some issues, but nothing justifies the trap they've put her in.

-- Cig style socket with clips for charging cells
-- Trickle charger the 12V car battery
- 1000W Inverter from car for sump pump and long extension cord, can drive box fan in summer
-12pack of green propane and an adapter for BBQ tank

409 I saw in Arizona there are small communities running out of water, because the Saudis and others are "farming", drawing down the aquifers to grow crops (which I guess they ship back to Saudi Arabia).

So the water level drops below the current wells of the residents ... aquifers can't keep up, but nothing is done to stop them.

There is no evidence, zero, nil, nada, that C02 is the the control valve of global temperatures. Sure you can see scary pictures and graphs from the Ministry of Truth, but that's all fake data.

There's no REAL data that shows a connection between human activities and temperatures.

Yep.

ANd this is a thing because of the woke/feminist angle.
As with the recent Chrissy Teigen thing, it gives Lefty meangirls an opportunity to make a show of reevalutaing their past behavior, admit some smal sin in participating in it, then absolving both themselves and the Lefty celebrity as having sufficiently adopted the 2021 woke thinking on treatment of public women.

See, they'd never go back and do this with, say, Sarah Palin. They are still very OK woth meangirling icky conservatives.

And I'm not saying you've done something wrong. But the idea that you have a $0 electric bill is similar to the electric vehicle costs. In both cases their are a bunch of government incentives going on that allow it to happen where if you were actually handling the cost all on your own you probably wouldn't have done it.

Last election, 3 out of 4 Jews voted for Biden. Knowing the antics of 'The Squad' the whole time. Unless they're stupid, they're just as corrupt as the people they vote for and I don't think anybody can accuse your people of being stupid.
