Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Morning Report - 6/23/21Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-New York) appeared on CNN Tuesday and admitted that the Democrats' federal election bill is all about Democrats staying in power. That's it. That's the post. They cynic in me would say the GOP killed this nightmare only to preserve their spot at the trough. If Democrats can rig elections forever, there'd be no need for a phony opposition to bamboozle the rubes, would there? In any case, at least for now, it's a pretty big win for our side, however it came down and however long it lasts. Meanwhile, reason for optimism that we're not done yet comes not from Congress but from where it really matters; in local school boards and community boards on the front lines of the fight.Democrat Jamaal Bowman admits S.1 legislation is a power grab. "If we deliver [S.1], we maintain power in 2022. If we don't...we risk losing power.". . . The Democrats are acting like a questionable win at the presidential level in the midst of a historic pandemic, losing seats in the House, narrowly capturing the Senate in questionable special elections, and losing big at the state level, all constitute a mandate for them to obtain total power forever and to push a hard-left agenda that the American people don't support. Two people were reportedly arrested at a school board meeting in Loudoun County, Virginia, on Tuesday after the gathering was declared an unlawful assembly when large numbers showed up to protest Critical Race Theory (CRT) and transgender ideology being pushed on students. "The Loudoun County School Board ended the public comment section of its June 22 meeting on a unanimous vote after Chair Brenda L. Sheridan repeatedly warned the attendees in the Board Room that loud public demonstrations violated the decorum of the meeting," the board said in a statement . . . . . . "The Loudoun County sheriff's office declared the school board meeting an unlawful assembly. Everyone told to get out or will be trespassing," Reuters reporter Gabriella Borter tweeted with videos of the incident. "Two arrests made at the Loudoun County, Virginia school board meeting after it was declared an unlawful assembly and some parents here to protest against critical race theory and a transgender policy refused to leave right away . . ." . . . Political consultant Ryan Girdusky, who recently started the 1776 Project PAC to support local school board candidates who oppose CRT, tweeted, "The anger over people's children is boiling over and now elected officials are scared of their own constituents. Good."Emphasis mine and BINGO. Now put that Koh-i-noor of wisdom into the context of November 3rd through January 6th, a politically-engineered panic over a genetically-engineered Chinese virus and the palpable and justifiable fear that we are heading for a disaster, and then this next item makes even more sense: [So-called quote-unquote "president"] Joe Biden will renew the gun control push at the federal level during his Wednesday speech on crime. The Associated Press reports that Biden's speech will contain a mix of new executive orders and renewed calls for "Congress to pass gun legislation." White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki told reporters that although the focus of the speech will be on crime, guns will also be a "big part" of it. She said that Biden is focused on "putting in place gun safety measures... using the bully pulpit but also using levers at his disposal as [so-called quote-unquote "president"]."I understand Biden's handlers told him to say that all the crime, violence and lawlessness that is running wild through the nation's predominantly Democrat-controlled urban areas is the fault of the mere presence of police, PIEOTUS Trump's indifference to the suffering of colored people of color and his ignoring of the Peking Pulmonary Pox. Therefore, to solve this, law-abiding American citizens and legal gun owners must surrender their weapons forthwith (can't find it now but do I really need a link for that?). My advice? Arm yourselves to the teeth. If you live in an area that pisses all over the Second Amendment, get yourself firearms even if it means getting them "off the back of a truck," if you catch my meaning. We now find ourselves existing as de facto internal exiles in a land controlled by an illegitimately installed junta that will accrue and hold onto power "by any means necessary." They no longer respect our laws, traditions and customs because they and their forebears have spent the past 100-plus years doing all they could to undermine and overturn them, or observe them only in the breach when it served their aims. We owe them nothing. And if we continue to be purged from all quarters of the public square and worse, demonized and labeled as irredeemably evil, then things are going to get a lot more "interesting" than merely being booted from and arrested at a local school board meeting for having the gall to raise our voices and object. Hell, we still have dozens of innocent people rotting in jails for merely showing up to the Capitol on January 6th and facing charges of violent insurrection. I cheer the parents in Loudon, as well as the good people of Silverton, Colorado for defying the little bastard commie stooge and reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, just as I cheer and pray for our political prisoners and martyrs like Ashli Babbitt, Kyle Rittenhouse and, yes, Derek Chauvin. So whether it's CRT, gun-grabbing, transexual perverts, religious persecution, vote rigging, lockdowns and all the rest, the shriller, louder and foaming-at-the-mouth-ier they object, the more confirmation (as if we needed it) it is of the righteousness of our cause. And, the more dangerous it becomes as the Enemy ramps up its response. But these parents, Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier, the 9-year-old girl seen on video criticizing her school board for putting Black Lives Matter posters around her school, despite a ban on political posters are showing us the way forward. We might get yelled at, spit on, hate-shaked, fired from our jobs or even worse. But G-d is on our side. As long as we are on His side, His will be done.

The Communist proponents of CRT and transgender ideology were bussed in and given first speaking roles so that opponents to CRT were never heard. The bussed in agitators started immediately with outright attacks on Christians and threats. So the School board blames the parents who were never heard and never had a chance to be represented. And the stupid parents are so damned foolish that even after this spectacle will send their kids to those gulags to be programmed into hate filled, anti-American, Satanic minions of the State. This is both. Those with faith defend the sacrament on the terms dictated two millennia ago. The Left is politically weaponizing the Eucharist because they demand to be treated as gods. Marriage transcends them, it has been around for millennia, enjoyed by billions of people in all cultures, times and lands. Yet they demand ownership of it to dictate what they please. Hijacking the Eucharist to serve their evil intents is just the next frontier. They are enemies of the Cross and, like everything else they choose to profane and blaspheme it. ++++ And you can be sure that the new gun laws will include an outright ban on "assault weapons" and major restrictions on magazine capacities, with official guidance to extend bans later. So here's a thought experiment: why use a gun to commit a crime? There are many reasons. Portability. Power. Disposability. Concealment. It's easy to hide a gun, kill someone with it and then throw it away. Yet that doesn't actually really apply to long arms or magazine capacity. Those are hard to hide. They are harder to use. They are more expensive. If there is a reasonable argument for gun control - and there isn't and I reject any gun control premise - it is in handguns, not long arms. Yet they keep going after the rifles. "Common sense gun control" my achin' ass. Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at June 23, 2021 06:58 AM (Jsjd7) 60

Codavilla also repeats a great idea to make colleges and universities responsible for student loans, as some kind of guarantors. He puts it into a context I hadn't thought of before, as a means of fighting the overwhelming socialism of faculties. If they are financially responsible themselves for student success, standards will rise instantaneously and the focus will, overnight, turn to making economic success the outcome. No more CRT, Gender Studies, or whatever, among faculties.

They don't want the church getting all uppity, going against their 'abortion for all, at any stage in the pregnancy' policy. Just submit or be punished. Also, that's a very public rebuke of Biden and others if they are denied their ability to claim being super-Cathlic and pro-abortion. This is no different from forcing religious halthcare people and private religious hospitals performing/assisting with abortion, or emplyers such as the Little Sisters of the Poor to cover the costs of birth control, etc. of their employees. The oligarchy's perversion of American law, its partisan seizure of the
justice system, of the intelligence agencies, and of the military, is the deadliest weapon in the war of annihilation it wages against our Republic. Led and largely staffed by partisan Democrats, scarcely distinguishable from the private corporations and institutions it oversees, the bureaucracy legislates and administers against the rest of us. Posted by: Huck Follywood at June 23, 2021 07:04 AM (4AoAK) +++++ The first obviates the second. They're communists. They will keep doing what they do regardless of liability. If they burn through the endowments and run out of money, then so be it. They'll get in line for a bailout and if that should fail (fat chance), then the institutions will just die and close. Student loan responsibility will do nothing to change the universities. Reversing Bush 43's bankruptcy reform for student loans - and then repealing the preliminary reforms - would do. Make them dischargeable in bankruptcy, and get the FedGov out of the student loan business. Interest will spike to 25% if loans are available at all - and suddenly a lot of people are going to pause. The problem will sort itself out within ten years if we cut off the loan market manipulation. Five if we get rid of Fed student grants, too. So, I found a gold chain with a small gold cross that I thought I'd lost decades ago. It was trapped under a carboard flap at the bottom of a storage box in my closet. It's only 14K (I was young and poor when I bought it) but it has great sentimental value. So dull looking when I found it, it looked like bronze.
I did this thing I found on the internet: line a bowl with aluminum foil, dump in a teaspoon or so each of baking soda and salt, then pour in a cup of boiling water. Agitate it around for a few minutes, then rinse. (I also brushed it with a small nail-type brush) Wow, you could see the crud just foaming out of it in the bowl. Came out as shiny and clean as brand new. I don't know if this method is safe for gold jewelry with stones, but if you need to clean some plain gold jewelry on the cheap, that worked terrifically. IIRC, that's what they label people like Nick Fuentes who defend being white in the same manner that other races/ethnicities promote their demographic? So not just: "Hey, this racial talk is divisive, you guys!: but White* culture, traditions and history have value and should be specified and defended. *"White" as is idenitified by CRT, which is more akin to western civ/American and European and Christian history, traditions, values, etc.. And that's the catch-22 of CRT and anti-racism: the activist haters get to define whiteness, and to defend yourself you have to both defend your race while also somehow denying you are a racialist who accepts their premise that whiteness = western civilization's value, traits, and hostory. white identitarianism??
Posted by: dantesed at June 23, 2021 07:35 AM (88xKn) ++++ (1/2) Requires a bit of history and like many nasty things, it comes from Europe. After WWI, the disaffected Marxists created a new brand of socialism (Fascism, or national socialism). The new Fascists arrived at their approach by assessing why Marxism failed to take off during WWI, when everyone agreed that it *should* have flourished (all the Marxist prerequisites were met). They determined that the problem was Marxism's class focus. Class was simply not a big enough part of identity. No one thinks of himself as a "proletarian" in a global oppression structure. The Fascists identified *nationality* as the bigger factor in identity, and that socialism should be recast along those lines. Thus began the holy war with the legacy communists. They fought the Fascists while remaining true to the Marxist class basis. They were opposed to any other basic identity for socialism. So the Fascists - and the other socialist splinter groups - that were based on non-class identity (whether nationality, or race, or religion, or any of the many others at the time). These were cast as the "identitarians." Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at June 23, 2021 07:51 AM (Jsjd7) 230

Of all the identitarians, only the Fascists were truly dangerous and saw major advancement against the traditional Marxists. Thus was born Antifa, the communist opposition to the national socialists. After WWII, there were even more disaffected Marxists. The legacy communists embraced PoMo and its hybridized chimerical offspring of Critical Theory. They are similar to the Fascists they used to fight, except for the all-important factor of nationalism. They are still universalist, but use any identity conflict to wedge-drive and advance the universalist socialist agenda. Antifa is still around, of course, and is still aligned to the universalists. They changed tactics and philosophy under the covers as they embraced mutable identity instead of class (essentially, became Maoist instead of Marxist). As the CT crowd pushes harder and harder on fracturing identity, identity-based opposition has come back to the fore. The CT folks are identity-driven to exclusion, but differently. The use of "identitarian" as a pejorative is legacy language and, essentially, a historical irony. While anger is rising, the majority of Americans haven't reached the 1776 level of emotion required for action yet. As an aside, Manchin's move was pragmatic and cost us nothing, wasting emotion on such things diffuses the focus on the important.

But the Weimar government was very particular about just whose thugs would be permitted to run riot in the streets for fun and profit, so the SA remained legal while the RFB was proscribed. Once they were forced underground, the remaining elements of the RFB formed up a new street army from the assorted flotsam of German society, and that became Antifastische Aktion. Sort of a mirror image of the state-sanctioned lawlessness in the US today. Posted by: Yudhishthira's Dice at June 23, 2021 08:07 AM (7U3R4) 295

Also, the tag line for CRT is "not equality, equity". They are trying to hide that in some otherwise innocuous content. Don't fall for it. We had a so-called "leadership" course where they tried to pull that garbage. I told them nothing was more unAmerican, undemocratic or racist. What we seek, what we endeavor to preserve as a nation is equality. Equity has zero to do with it.
Posted by: Marcus T at June 23, 2021 08:02 AM (dhhKu) "Equity" is the new bullshit word. Because while it sounds like "equality", it really denotes having a bought and paid for interest in something like stock in a company. "Equity" now means that "they" (ie. the "oppressed person of the week") has an interest in your life, you deplorable white person, because everything your do, everything you gained through your effort, everything, your very existence damages them. So, they have an interest is stopping you and your children and grandchildren by any means possible. You want Naziism in the modern world? Ladies and gentlemen, I give you CRT. One can judge which group believes themselves to be untouchable by the social and political system by their rhetoric and which group actually has real consequences applied to their speech and actions.
The people behind CRT are unable to hide the fact that they believe themselves untouchable because CRT reassures them of their virtue and thus are simply not able to effectively employ euphemisms. The movement began in law schools and universities and was originally intended for judges and bureaucrats in order to win power not on the facts or precedent or even existing law but on broader grounds of alleged principles. This, to some degree, makes the rhetorical switch to equity instead of equality difficult to manage when it ventures outside its home territory of law and education. Germany actually did cause the formation of the Soviet Union. This is just fact. We owe the fucking Krauts soooo much we can never repay ------- Germany is an odd case in world history. They're a highly advanced culture, with a huge amount of human potential. But the other Europeans feared them, and kept them divided and stultified for centuries. Bismarck finally pulled them out of it, but after he was gone, and his firm guidance gave way to Hohenzollern adventurism, they were a powerful but essentially rudderless nation. Like a brutish and strong child in a man's body, but on a national scale. With no understanding of how to conduct affairs of State, but with millions of Europe's most gifted and patriotic people, they blundered through the entire existing global order, leaving behind massive swaths of wreckage, three times in three generations. The problem with going after "Critical Race Theory" is that it leaves too much room for squirrely responses such as "There is no class in Critical Race Theory" etc.
We need to go more basic and to the heart of the matter. Just say "Systemic Racism is Bullshit." There is nothing of the sort in the current US of A. And if you want to talk specifics about "effects of history" and specific, "disparate impacts" that you believe are a problem then we can talk about that. But this one bucket of "we're systemically racist" is the starting point that is total, poisonous crap and needs to be rejected out of hand. 364 They will definitely try on a state level. But that's why a lot of people are moving to free states. They see it coming and no sane person wants to live through that despotism again. That people have already burned down the capitals in places like Michigan and New York defies reason.

Don't disagree with what you're saying. But I guess I'm also saying that the "GOP" (or its MAGA sucessor party) needs to make the affirmative case for the reality version of reality and the American story. Yes a holding action of being "against" something is just that. But "we" and by "we" I mean actual leaders who have a full time job in trying to save the country, need to affirmatively describe why the America as founded, and the America that exists is not "systemically" racist, but rather a unique advance in not only individual liberty but in the ability of people of all races to have a country and a home in which they can be their best selves. 373 Joe, fwiw, DeTocqueville agrees with you. His greatest worry about the new republic was the power of public opinion--which once set does that to losers in the debate over an issue.
Part of the reason that a lot of noxious and evil ideas resurface is when those holding them have insulation from consequences--for example the Loudon School Board members calling on police to rid themselves of troublesome parents via arrests. Same as the insouciant lying, distortions, and omissions by our so called mass media. They are relying on corporate behemoths or wealthy patrons along with the misguided Scotus decisions to avoid consequences. Posted by: whig at June 23, 2021 08:36 AM (pO7gM) 391
I just read the statement of brave Nicole Solas, a young Rhode Island mother who successfully drove the chair of her local school board to resign. In the closing moments the partisan racist school chair pleaded for parents to come together and fight Solas and the rest of us, under the guise of "compromise" and "coming together".
Solas rightfully responded there is no compromising with Marxists, only victory. Posted by: Huck Follywood at June 23, 2021 08:40 AM (ZppVk) 392

Oh yeah, their takeover "floundered". Its not like they can steal an election, ignore existing election laws, claim existing election laws can only be enforced by the legislature (is this true of murder laws?) and that there is no legal recourse for voters, refuse to produce documentation required by law, and declare dissenters terrorists. We got a Victory! Send money.
