Anime of the day is Shirobako, from 2014, a not entirely unrealistic look inside the anime industry. Yes, everything is a bit too clean, but the depiction of people working unreasonable hours under insane constraints for crappy pay is pretty accurate.

It's also a great show in its own right.

23 Nice AMV Pixy, featuring some of my favorite shows of recent viewing, mostly thanks to your excellent anime palate. Last night, I finally finished Escaflowne and the entire journey certainly was a complete and worthwhile experience filled with fine action, memorable music and iconic mechs.

The overall plot definitely needed more time to fully expand upon its many plot points and mounting conflicts so the conclusion was a little disappointing and the romance a tad contrived for me.

Still, I would definitely recommend the show simply for Escalowne herself, as that mech in dragon or robot form definitely hit the solid spot in my heart to remain one of the best mechs I've encountered.

And the music never fails to capture the key moments of the constant drama and all the praise begins with the beautiful intro, deep orchestra for the battles and of course Escaflowne's personal theme is perfection.

As for the characters, the main leads- King Van and Allen are awesome for the most part and the side characters like Dryden, Folken,, Eriya & Naria and especially Dilandau all greatly enhanced the story's significance.

The US has had 40K+ new cases annually ever since the 1990s. Every year, year in and year out, for a virus with an extremely known route of transmission, an extremely predictable group of carriers, and a virus that could be essentially eradicated if it weren't so noble and good.

Nonexistent in South and West Texas (Hispanic dense). And political events in the cities like Houston and Dallas. But since we are heading to a national day off that will change.

It used to have a pretty great library of old and new anime but it seems a lot smaller now.

F'rinstance, Shirobako was easily available up until a few months ago then nothing.

Has one of the other services now become the Big Dog in anime streaming?

If you're a high end user of a certain type, and know a lot about computers and software and enjoy spending your time working around and fixing a ton of lame-ass problems, yeah..Apple isn't for you.

If you're some shmoe like me who wants a computer that's a black box but does all the simple tasks you want it to do, without problems ( as a general rule) - like word-processing and surfing the net, etc,
then Apple is for you.

Also, if you want all of your personal info to go to one evil corporate entity instead everyfuckingcorporate entity in the world, then Apple is for you.

106 Apple's been an arrogant elitist ripoff from day one.
I remember when they reported on a meeting between the top admin of Apple (Jobs and everyone else. This was back in the early years when they only did computers) and it was reported that some wanted to lower the price just a little bit.
Jobs and some French guy went ballistic. Said that the people who bought Apple deserved to get ripped off and besides no one wanted to give up any part of their bonus.
Apple should've been in the dustbin of computer history by now. A mere footnote but the ripped off someone (I forget who. They ripped off so many computer tech companies) and got the lead on the phone market and surprisingly it took off. (bet it surprised them too)

And they've been having slaves make their shit for decades and charging the snob leftists that would swagger around telling everyone how they were part of a small minority that used the very best computer. Why it had to be the best, it cost so much.
Same with the phones. Then worst thing happened; Microsoft started to imitate them and made what was already borderline into something that was just a source of angst and anger.

I've hated Apple from the beginning.

Vrv started offering Crunchy Roll as one of its many channels for only a couple of dollars more that CR alone. Over the last couple of years Vrv has been dropping channels and now only has a handful, while reducing what those channels offer as well. I'm going to finish Naruto Shippuden and then drop it since Case Closed isn't worth $10 a month. I'd love to know the alternatives as well.

El Hazard takes the cake in audacity, though. Not only do they disguise the protagonist as a woman for pretty much the first half of the series, but they also have the lesbian girlfriend if the woman he's pretending to be sneak into his bedroom for a little fun.
