Was Trump right about hydroxychloroquine all along? New study shows drug touted by former president can increase COVID survival rates by 200%
A study on 255 patients was done by St Barnabas Medical Center in New Jersey
The resulting report, out May 31, found hydroxychloroquine to be effective
The drug, when used in a high dose and with zinc, increased survival rates
The authors found it was only helpful in severe cases of COVID-19
Patients given the drug as part of the trial were on ventilators
Trump's allies have seized on the report to declare that he was correct
As president, Trump touted hydroxychloroquine as a preventative treatment
He even took it himself, despite doctors then warning it could be dangerous
A growing number of studies are now suggesting the drug could be useful

On Megan Kelley's podcast, in her interview with Lara Logan, she says she's spoken to doctors, and they all say, "All doctors were taking HCQ during the pandemic, all of them, as a preventative. All of them."

Now that's not proof, but it sure indicates that the left's -- including such leftists as the writers at The Bulwark, and of course AllahPundit -- absolute certainty that not only was HCQ not effective, but was positively dangerous, and likely lethal, was yet another purely political claim put forth by Communications Majors pretending to know something about science.

I've always wanted to point out the gross asymmetry of proofs required to vindicate either Trump's or the media left's (including the NeverRight pseudoconservatives') positions here.

Trump said that HCQ might provide some benefit.

He also said that maybe HCQ would not work, but "what's the harm?" in taking it. This, based on the fact that the drug has been around since the 1960s and has very few side effects .

That is a modest claim. He doesn't need much to be right. All he needs is for some people to be helped by HCQ. Not cured -- merely helped.

And he didn't even say he was guaranteeing that -- he said it might help some people.

So, to disprove the Bad Orange Man Who Is Always Bad and Wrong, the leftwing propaganda media and their NeverRight Twitter Palz had to prove a very immodest claim -- that no one could ever be helped by HCQ.

And, to defeat Trump's rhetorical question "What's the harm?," they had to assert that Hydroxycholorquine will literally kill you.

As I say: Quite immodest claims, claiming 100% certainty about 100% of cases, and furthermore, asserting the extreme claim that a drug which has been found safe and relatively risk-free after having been used by literally tens of millions of people since the 1960s is suddenly a Life-Stealer, just because the Bad Orange Man uttered the Bad Orange Man Spell of "What's the Harm?"

Now, obviously, it takes a lot of evidence to prove such immodest -- large -- claims.

And the leftwing propaganda media and their NeverRight Twitter Palz never had that evidence.

And yet, despite their claims about Lovin' the Science, they went ahead and insisted that they knew that hydroxychrloquine could never, ever help anyone, and, despite its 50+ year record of safety, was in fact a lethal poison.

Now, there are some people for whom HCQ should not be prescribed. But that, too, is knowledge we have 50 years of world experience with. Doctors know when HCQ would be "contraindicated." And in such cases, they would not prescribe it.

But the fact that a relatively tiny number of people might have a bad side effect from the drug is no reason to flatly say it can never be prescribed. Almost every single drug has bad side effects for some number of the population, from large to small to tiny.

And yet the leftwing propaganda media, and their NeverRight Conservative, Inc. junior partners, all insisted that the fact that doctors should avoid giving the drug to a relatively small population for whom it might be dangerous meant, perforce, that Trump just told the nation to inject raw poison into their veins.

This is preposterous -- but we've seen so much Amazing Science from the Communications Majors that man both sides of the political aisle (all the way from far-left to centrist Biden voters!) this past year.

Trump was right. Indeed, given how small the claims he made were, how modest and contingent they were, it was almost impossible for him to be wrong.

And yet, the Communications Majors who all suddenly got Ph.D.'s in Twitter science made the most immodest, absolutist, hysterical claims about HCQ.

They had an election to rig -- and when you have an election to rig, "Science" means whatever your Twitter Agenda for that day requires.

And they will not retract.

And AllahPundit will not be covering this story.

But I'm very confident about who won't cover it.

Oh, I don't think so. This has nothing to do with some people pretending to know everything and claiming their expertise. This is just the same old playbook they always run:
1. Trump said it was good.
2. Trump is evil and wants people to die because he's evil.
3. Therefore, what Trump said is good is actually unhelpful and even lethal.

It could have been HCQ. It could have been anything else. Hell, if Trump said breathing was good, they'd be running articles on oxygen toxicity at high pressures during deep-sea diving and how Trump's dangerous oxygenated rhetoric is a clear indication that he wants our brave Navy divers to die.

I asked my physician, during my 2020 annual physical, about the effectiveness of quinine in tonic. He said the concentration was too low to expect positive results; maybe it will help, probably very little. Hydroxychloroquine with zinc, vitamin C and vitamin D, is the plan.

After some research, it looks like green tea extract might work well enough, not as good as quinine, but better than tonic. "EGCg" is the extract. I now keep a bottle of 200mg EGCg, 80% catechins, with my vitamins.

I paid no attention to the CNN article. It has an agenda, and therefore I am suspicious of everything in it. I based my comments on my knowledge of how drugs come to market and my knowledge of how the stock market works.

I assure you, the new billionaires didn't start buying stock in their own companies . The whole point of stock grants and options in lieu of salary and bonuses is for this eventuality. It's a gamble, and it paid off handsomely for these folks.

No, that is sadly wildly inaccurate. That "New Scientific Method" has exposes the potential for an honest experiment to be run or for an honest result to be published, so long as it doesn't reflect Trumpist heterodoxy.

That is not true in any way. There is no room for honesty, anywhere, in anything. To be accurate, it needs to be "Observe subject, formulate ideal state for subject, create assumed changes that would lead to the ideal state, run a poor-quality and bias-confirming experiment, collect results, manipulate the results if needed to ensure that hypothesis is confirmed, then publish results but withhold data and accuse anyone who demands that you show your work of being a racist."

That's the real new scientific method.

According to CDC and WHO data, take that as you will, the survival rate overall for all combined groups, is around 99.5%. That's how likely you are on average to survive catching the Wuhan Flu.

Some groups have a lower rate (elderly, very health-compromised, overweight) but most have a much, much higher rate of survival, especially the younger you go. Children are nearly immune to even getting sick from this stuff.

255 I read the abstract of the present analysis showing benefits of HCQ yesterday. It was used in LATE STAGE Covid, at HIGH DOSES, given by the weight of the patient. And azithromycin plus HCQ was better than either agent alone. Just like Zelenko said way back last year.

Dennis Prager's personal experience using HCQ as a preventative sounded pretty good to me, too. He later added ivermectin.

Personally, I bought some oral horse ivermectin. Just in case. Already take quercetin and C for other reasons. Take D. There are some other agents that may also help. Dextromethorphan may hurt.

Me neither. Houses here are going for $100,000 more than last years assessed value and they are getting it. And they are getting it in three or four days after the listing goes active. Something is more broken than 2008 IMO. Can't put my finger on it but there is more cash chasing real estate than there is real estate to suck it up.

That goes for used vehicles too. That market has literally gone insane. My 2015 Toyota Tacoma with 51,000 miles on it pulls a kelly blue book trade in value of $5,000 more than I paid for it.

I don't consider my current "value" (~400K, and a similar house a few doors down with a smaller back yard went for $450K last week) to be real, at least on the medium-term time scale I'm expecting to sell and move. I think the better value is about twice what I paid (less than above) is closer to correct down the line.

Wow. Where to start on that one?

First, I specified a research startup. Every one of them dreams of becoming a FIPCO, a fully integrated pharmaceutical company. Practically none of them ever make it.

Second, established pharma companies of course make money, but they don't make anyone in them billionaires, not even the CEOs. Those people are employees, and are not paid billions of dollars.

The people who could in principle become billionaires are the entrepreneurs, but that generally doesn't happen in the biotech/pharma space. Bezos and Amazon? Sure. No years of burning money on research, no regulatory barriers, no just cash in, products out on day 1.

A research startup? No. In the interest of brevity I described two rounds of VC funding. More typically there are multiple rounds of financing, each one diluting previous stockholders' holdings. If the founders end up with 1% ownership at the time of the liquidity event, they're doing very well indeed.

There's reasons that I think she had it for a couple of weeks before anyone knew but she died in less than a week once she tested positive and rushed her right into ICU. That sounds correct. I believe that they rank you in the percentile you're in, so 99 means "99th percentile" or that you're above 99 percent of test-takers. You can't be in the "100th Percentile" because that would mean you scored above all test-takers, which would include yourself.

D is harder to dose because it's fat-soluble and the dosages vary wildly based on weight, body fat percentage and diet. I don't know what the toxicity level is, though, and if it's reasonable to fear getting to that level with OTC product.

They may have taken them down but full size images of the front and the back of the standard Vaccine dosage and day of shot "certificate" can be found on a lot of states' Health Department pages.

I found a couple but you have to word the search just right to bring them up. A lot of the images are no good for various reasons but the health Department ones are in a pdf that is on a state website and so are easily reproducible/printed.

Not that I would think of doing that.

You can get a tube of pony paste ivermectin for like 12 bucks and its works. Its the same active ingredient ivermectin, same concentration. Pharma is bent on extracting your money. If everyone knew you could take a zinc supplement and vitamin D and never have a cold again - there goes a multi billion dollar market...

It would not surprise me if this stuff cures cancer, and they know it already.

Smart ass little B has an IQ of 112, which is better than the median but not great. She's smarter than probably most of the people she knew in school simply based on the law of averages, and she's a loudmouth who's been told that she's awesome no matter what since she was 3.

Given the IQ test (of dubious value, but whatevs, it's approximately objective), she actually doesn't do that well. Surprise? She's kinda smart, but her upbringing has told her that she's the best. Talk about toxic.
