The funny part is, everyone knows that nobody is ever getting "instated" as President without the Uniparty's blessing ever again, unless an actual insurrection removes the State forcibly.

I live up here in Maine. Every fucking day we're treated to another staple up here that is endangered by global warming.

Gulf of Maine heating up because of global warming? There goes the lobsters!
Forests are dying because of Global Warming! There goes the papermill industry (whats left of it that the leftists haven't murdered)
Blueberries are dying now... oh please.

This is because Southern Maine is literally a breeding ground for liberal guilt about *everything*. Perfect example is how our local town council is going out of its way to basically carve up its own municipal building codes to enable a "affordable housing project" in the middle of the town center. Mind you the "town center" consists of a blinking yellow light, one restaurant (sandwich shop) a gas station, the schools and a gas station. But we need affordable housing for "local labor workers". Morons.

Wait until she finds out what actual blacks think about the neighborhood convenience store owners.

With respect to the "vacation time" debacle, by reading between the lines I can tell you exactly what happened there: there was a calendar app where people could enter their preferred vacation dates, likely first come, first served. She didn't sign up. Someone else chose a date.

Then she wanted that same date. She got refused on the ground that someone else had already chosen that date. She got butthurt and claimed that a third person didn't sign up until after her, but still got his or her date. The fact that the third person got the date because it was STILL OPEN doesn't matter to her. Nope. Racism is the only possible explanation.

In all probability, this was agitprop the administration simply made up and ordered the Party press to report.

But if there is *any* truth to it, Trump probably made some offhanded remark and they just twisted it up to create another insurrection narrative.

They were banned because you could go crazy with them up and down 20 Hz clacking and they would shatter. I think some kids got shards in an eye and that was that. They were interesting though, kind of old-school fidget spinners. You just know ninjas in feudal Japan past their time doing the same with their bolas.

Weird things keep hampering Allen West. He seemed poised to be a Trump level GOP superstar and then got redistricted out of a job in Florida, the same state DeSantis is very popular in. Maybe replacing Boneless is the move which will define him otherwise he's running out of good options.

191 Good Morning.
It is already hot here this morning. I was thinking yesterday how different it is here than MA. It is already summer here. I've been able to swim outside for a few weeks now. In MA, you have about 6 weeks of summer, July 1 to mid August. The ocean never gets warm, just barely tolerable. You have to deal with black flies, then mosquitos and worry about ticks.
The only good part is being able to open the windows at night because it cools down.

216 Speaking of fidget spinners, you know what has taken their place? This is really just little kids in grade schools. I know they were marketed to adult dorks but that's really a niche they made their money off of kids 4-10 who saw their friends with one and begged their parents for one too.

So the new thing is pop-it. You know how on your soda paper cup from fast food, there are the little bumps on the plastic lid you can press if it's cola or diet or sprite or tea, etc? Well, a pop-it is just that but more like 50 bumps you press in and out in a silicone rubber toy. Costs probably 50c for china to make and they sell for 10-20 bucks. Amazing. Kids all over are getting these things.

Cicadas got their business done pretty early in the SE, nights are mostly quiet. Which reminds me. Now that on every perceived holiday weekend people think they have to shoot off fireworks something weird happened on Memorial Day weekend, aka "The Long Weekend".

I was sitting at the computer desk, around 11 pm and a firework went off, and in response a bird that was right outside the window suddenly whistle-chirped. Never heard birds react to fireworks before, maybe it woke the poor feller up.

267 I grew up dirt poor. My favorite toys were some cardboard chickens that were playing pieces from a long-gone game and a precious puzzle map of the United States that was missing only Massachusetts.

Oh, and the beer bottle capper. I spent hours handing the caps to Dad so he could press them onto the bottles.

I knew we were rich the year I was seven and received a NEW bicycle for Christmas.

Dad was building our house while I was growing up. He'd bought an 18-room hotel and we lived in four rooms while he tore the other fourteen down and used the lumber to build our house. Where was I going with this?...oh, yes...
