In tv interview Moderna CEO said that he sees annual covid shots for the forseeable future to combat the covid variants, etc.. Naturally he'd want this, but does anyone see CDC or any government officials putting the breaks on that? It's a self-sustaining cycle: we need vacines to get back to normal, and we need vaccine passports to show proof of vaccines, so the people pushing the universal digital ID have a vested interest in continued vaccines to justify implementation. Gah, need more tinfoil. Posted by: Lizzy at May 22, 2021 05:55 AM (bDqIh) 44

Lizzy, I'm hoping that with more states now going maskless, if we manage to have a good summer with few cases and then don't spike too much in the fall, maybe people will climb down from the curtains and stop being so afraid. And then refuse to get yearly vaccines for something that has such a low death rate (except for those who really want/need it).

If you raised 'em right, shouldn't be any problem. I took my daughter out to the yard first thing in the morning every day when she was an infant and let her go potty. Also fed her in separate area away from the dog and cat. Now as teenager, she pretty much knows when she needs to use the bathroom and I just throw a plate food down and a bowl of water and let her free feed. If the weather is nice I'll let her run loose in the yard. Posted by: Bitter Clinger at May 22, 2021 06:06 AM (5We2S) 57

While it is likely slant in the news coverage, quelle surprise, the rise in open hostility in this country to Israel and Jews is troubling. We have clearly too many immigrants from places with antithetical beliefs to theirs and importantly ours, but the common cause with terrorists by others is a worry. Great tweet from the ONT about how fear has become a virtue in America. How far we have fallen. Recall the famous democrat's exhortation "we have nothing to fear but fear itself"? Forget hopes of greatness, no nation can even sustain itself when fear consumes its culture as it has ours. Look to our "leaders"? They either exploit fear or appease it. We're a lost people right now.

Yeah, the open Palestinian is disturbing. It is a bad sign. The way this has spread to big cities simikar to last year's BLM stuff is concerning. Just interesting how we're coming up on a year of open hatred, and in some cases, violence against white people, and the rapid implementation of CRT in schools, businesses, and now the military. If you complain you are a "white supremacist" and/or "Nazi." The sensetivity toward the hatred of whites has vanished. But when it's another demographic . . . Absolutely. Nothing unique about it. In fact if you crack open Scripture and read about it, it pretty much happens over and over and over again, throughout all time. Jews began worshipping other Gods, judgement came. Again and again. Christians, be they Catholic or Protestant, are no different. As a dog returns to its vomit, so a fool repeats his foolishness. Here in Texas, Gov. Abbott finally came around and is issuing an exec order banning any government requirement for masks at all levels, including municipalities. (Which harelips little tin gods like Clay Jenkins in Dallas) private businesses can still tell people not to come in without a mask if they want, but no government body at any level can require it. So it's pretty much down to only those business owners who want to virtue signal to leftists.

I always loved that gasoline/diesel exhaust smell, and I finally remembered where it started. When I was 5 or 6, my parents took me on a cross country train ride from Phoenix to Milwaukee, took 3 days. (1965, passenger train service was already on the way out, but there were some lines that were still running; this was long before AmTrak) It was magical, watching the country roll by through those observation windows - the desert, the Rockies, the endless plains - and we had to change trains in the middle of the night in this old train yard in St. Louis, and it felt like a scene in an old black and white Film Noire movie, and that diesel smell from the idling train engines permeated the atmosphere. It was like a living dream, and clearly I never forgot it!
I also remember the Milwaukee train station which was our terminus. All of these marvelous old station buildings with cast iron ornamentation, very late 19th century but still working. I went down there on a visit some years ago, all that's left is a few brick foundations and fields of grass - now it's just a place for people to sit on blankets and watch fireworks out on Lake Michigan. Will all be gone soon. They make their money now selling milk, bread, and rather expensive grocery items, and jerky sticks, and prepared food, and of course the ever favorite gas station fish delicacies.

According to Peter McCullough, actual MD who treats actual COVID patients with an actual and effective treatment plan, the original variant of the the damned virus on which the "vaccines" were formulated has just about died out in the US. There are 40 variants running around now that the vaccines won't affect. Most folks don't know the flu shot they get every year is a crap shoot. They take an educated guess on what variant of flu will be most threatening. That's why we had such a bad flu season a few years back... they picked the wrong variant. It's all manipulation of the masses. Meanwhile, a "new more virulent" strain is reported to be clobbering China, Taiwan, and India. My guess is that it is a new virus from same lab since natural viruses typically mutate to weaker strains, not stronger. IDN, not a virologist, but that's what a lot of them say.

Does your wife buy straws?
If you take a plastic straw, and bite down on the last 1/4" of the straw, you can flatten it. Make it nice and flat by dragging it through your teeth. Then, take a pair of scissors, and cut off the edges along the sides of that 1/4". Cut the corners into a curve. You've just made a reed instrument. If you blow through it nice and hard, it will make a low noise, like a duck. Then, cut the straw at different lengths, and you can make higher and higher tones with the straw. If you have several children, each one could have a straw with a different length. They can play the straws like a band for your wife when she gets home. Hours of fun.
