San Diego Teachers Refuse to Teach American Students In Person -- But Volunteer to Teach Illegal Alien Kids

Hey let's pay them more money to not do their jobs and take on additional work outside their employment.

EXCLUSIVE: Teachers from San Diego Unified School District are teaching migrant children in person before their own students, Fox News has learned.

I'm glad Fox published this -- but I don't think it's a secret why they have the exclusive.

Our "Journalist" Heroes would never break such a story that hurts the political posturing of their teachers union allies and immigrant army pals.

SDUSD students are currently learning in an online-only format and are expected to move into a hybrid model on April 12, where they will be learning in a combination of in-person and online formats, according to the school district's website.

"We have 130,000 kids who haven't been allowed in a classroom for over a year in the San Diego Unified School District. It's great that there's in-person learning for those unaccompanied minors from Central America, but I wish every child in San Diego County was allowed the same opportunity for in-person teaching," San Diego County Supervisor Jim Desmond told Fox News.

"The system is broken when San Diego teachers are teaching migrant children in person, but the 100k students of taxpaying families at San Diego Unified School District are stuck learning in Zoom school," Emily Diaz, an SDUSD parent, told Fox News in an email.

"We agree that every child deserves an in-person education, but why are taxpaying students put last? If this is a humanitarian issue then who is rescuing San Diego Unified students, because our leaders have failed them," Diaz added.

23 Let me rephrase part of his quoted statement:

"First of all these unaccompanied minors should not be in the US, much less receiving instruction. We either have borders and immigration laws and policies, or we don't.

Second, even the CDC, whose technical expertise has been shown to be far from reliable, has all along recommended keeping schools open, as of course school-age kids - and most teachers and staff - do not face any risks from the virus greater than that they face all the time from influenza.

The teachers and their organizations should be ashamed of their irresponsible, scientifically baseless behavior, which has damaged our children's education for no benefit."

My sister in law left Ohio a good conservative republican in the 90s and slowly over time morphed into a wine mom Obama backer who still acts confused why San Diego devolved into a hellhole similar to LA and why her lack of Spanish is a career hamstringer.

50 This is a false comparison and I have to believe that the post author understands that. These brave educators are volunteering to teach undocumented migrant children in the only manner those children can understand. These educators have determined for themselves that the needs of these suffering migrants outweigh the risks to themselves.

The domestic child population, however, is in an entirely situation and it is incredibly disingenuous to conflate the two. Domestic schoolchildren are accustomed to using high technology and are equipped to safely and effectively learn in a remote environment. This protects them, their families and the educators. These options are not available to new arrivals from oppressed lands and so some of our educators face the risks necessary to reach them.

Drawing false comparisons like the author does here only serves to promote and continue neocolonialist modalities that impose domestic standards on new populations. It is the old-fashioned notion of "Americanization" by another name, and it is just as dangerous, regressive, unfair and contemptuous of native peoples and migrants now as it was then.

95 What's fun and will get even more amusing is the folks who did vote for these people and voted for a lot of other stuff like this in the past will now be the people complaining about what's going on.

I love it. Did they think that none of what they encouraged would even impact them? Did they not notice how so many other people were?

Did they really think about any of what they applauded and how it could escalate?

Previous nations and even empires have collapsed because of the influx of foreigners into their society/community. Because contrary to the diversity squad, all cultures are not the same or have the same values but one that that does count is numbers.

When enough Central and South American peasants arrive in this country just their actions alone will dictate events let alone if they illegally vote and put in place laws and rules that favor them and disfavor the current majority.

Yep. All gone now. UC sucks - and applies political litmus tests for faculty and grad students (requiring an essay on what applicants have done to support and promote perversion). The freeway system is hopeless now, especially after that shithead Jerry Brown imposed his "road diet." We're urged to conserve water, because Jerry Brown on becoming governor in 1975 as one of his first official acts scotched a water infrastructure project that had been drawn up, approved, and funded. It would have precluded the periodic water shortages we now have by redistributing water from where it is plentiful to where it is not.

It makes me sick to see what has happened to California.

172 Anyone here know small engine diagnostics?

I have a Briggs and Stratton powerwasher I bought second hand. It won't start. Here's what I've done:

I drained out all the gas, added SeaFoam and a bit more gas to get some gum out, then drained it again. I took off the carb bowl and verified it's clean, the little float valve thinger moves freely, and I'm getting gas.

I took out the spark plug and verified I had spark. It was black all over. I changed it out for a new one.

Posted by: bonhomme at March 30, 2021 03:24 PM (i0wNm)

173 I changed the oil.

I tried starting a bunch of times with spritzes of carb cleaner straight into the carb. I could keep it running with little spritzes of carb cleaner, but it dies without that.

I think my next step is to take off the carb and clean the crap out of it.

Thoughts?

A couple points.

1. When the left claim "that was not real socialism," they are really saying that the ruling class suffered under tyranny, so that does not count. In real socialism (in their mind,) the masses (us) are lead by the enlightened (them,) and only we suffer under tyranny. That is why Stalin, Lenin, Mao,.... do not count.

2. What they want is a socialism which boils the frog slow enough that there is no revolution. They think they found the path with vote fraud and immigration, as well as tech censorship.

3. Teachers are in a precarious position. They are not ruling class, but foolish tools of the Left teaching the children to hate the country. They are looking for a power play, but the best they can do is this BS. They are not needed by the left now that vote fraud made them redundant, and big tech means that it does not matter what they teach.

idk, I have good luck getting small engines to work but I can't really say I know what I'm doing.

The things I check are air flow (ie, is the filter clean if there's an air filter), gas flow, oil flow, and spark plug.

If all of that seems fine and it still won't work, start fucking with things and yelling at it. Occasionally something stupid like the pull start coil will get wonky and not actually be spinning the engine, that's a pretty easy fix. Usually I try the carrot / stick approach "cmon engine, you know you want to start" and "you're going to the fucking dump if you don't start now!" and eventually it works like 95% of the time.

Schools in every state get money from Uncle Sam for meals and other stuff, based on student attendance. If families with kids or planning to have kids either move out of Cali, or don't move there, that's fewer kids and Fed dollars for the Cali schools, meaning fewer teachers (in theory). Other Blue States and Cities are likely also looking at fewer American students in the near and far future, theoretically leading to fewer teachers.

How much do you think Joe's Handlers and the unions like that???

PS: Joe's comments about needing to reducing K-12 class sizes due to COVID also plays into keeping the teacher payroll up while overall student numbers decline. Neat, huh?
