The “narratives” included “misleading or unsubstantiated allegations against President Biden” (note they didn’t use the word “false”. Best of Breed and a Hound Group 3 for Delilah at today's Brazos Valley KC show. Ridgies had huge entries this weekend and she beat them, so it's a nice chunk of change.
There were just three conformation events this weekend, one in NC one in California on an Indian reservation, and this one in Texas. So this nice little show had about double its usual entry with lots of high rollers.

Knuckles look like I got in a bar room brawl.
At the end, I had two screws left over and for the life of me, I couldn't figure out where they went. I was debating driving around until something fell off and figuring it out that way but I was able to locate the offending holes in the morning light.
Take apart something complicated and when your done have fasteners left over. It's an OCD nightmare.

We didn't get the keys to this house after closing until the day we moved in. The couple we dealt were a nightmare. The guy was a total jerk and literally threatened the person we had hired to fix two of the windows.
I've been fairly lucky in that the worst thing that happened to me was the previous owner of the Chandler house swapped out the garage door opener for a cheaper one. (Seriously, why bother?)
Still, next house I buy I'm having a clause put in the contract that failure to vacate the premises and deliver the keys at closing will be considered cancellation of the sale by the seller.

Long and rambling story: My grandmother had 30,000 chickens. Every day a few would die. She threw them out in the same place, and the buzzards ate them. My mother was horrified by this and thought she should get some lime for them. In town, she found that she could get lime at the drug store . . . and lemon, and a little booth to sit and cool off in. So the mine shaft and lime are apparently unnecessary, if the buzzards are sufficiently well-trained. I hear pigs work in a pinch too.

Nope. It's documented to drop air temps by close to 70 degrees just with the increased surface area. Should eliminate any heat soak, especially in the hot south. People are running tunes by I'm happy as it. It's a 400 HP rocket. That's plenty for my lead foot. I've seen claims of close to 600 HP on a tune but I don't think that aluminum will take it for long.

Ugh, I sympathize. Don't know how bad yours will be, but the dentist is always anxiety. I had my backmost molars pulled and a bone graft in one, 2 months ago. Cost $3500 cash. Publius had to load me into the truck, I was a sedated wreck afterwards.I have a re-eval in a month, then will get an appointment to have the post put in (another 2 grand). God only knows what the tooth itself will cost.

The big problem with tape as a medium for distributing music is that it is harder to mass-produce. Records could be stamped out like cookies. Tapes had to be high-speed duplicated. You could nearly always get better sound by recording your own cassettes using quality tape in a good recorder.

Well, well. A young Kraut physicist has discovered a new type of "warp bubble" spacetime, which he calls soliton bubbles.
You may have heard of such previous "warp drive" theoretical musings. Up until now, all of them required "exotic matter", which has properties like negative mass-energy (thought to be impossible, but not so much now). However, such things are, at this stage of the game, impossible to do macroscopically.
Anyway, the Kraut figured out one using only regular positive mass energy. A "warp bubble" about 100 m wide, big enough for some space ship, would require only about 100 Jupiter masses of energy. That is take the mass of 100 Jupiters, convert it to energy, and use that to warp spacetime in the proper configuration.

The problem with all these warp drive ideas (and worm hole ideas) is they all seem to, or could allow, the dreaded closed time-like curves to exist, meaning time travel and paradoxes.
Also, while it gets beyond my understanding, there are quantum field problems with them. It may be that you could open a door so to speak, but you could never pass anything real through it without destroying it.

My limited knowledge of the subject says that she was essentially defiant with respect to the mask requirements, and the place is apparently packed every day with customers. LOL! Broseiden probably wouldn't believe this, but we knew we were meant to be together before we ever met IRL. It's amazing how much you can discover about sexual chemistry from a distance (after you've gotten a sense of their character, of course, and how they respond in crisis). Publius was there for me as I coped with the disintegration of my family from 600 miles away.
I was going to drive down for a visit ahead of time, but ended up renting an apartment, sight unseen, and moving down here before I met him. Bold? Perhaps, but then, I knew who he was already. He is A+++ quality.

One of Jack Benny's running gags was that he was a tighwad. I mean tight. (how tight was he?) He was sooo tight.....
A common one would be someone would make a crack, and he would explain to the audience it was just a gag, he wasn't that bad. And then something would happen that would show he was a even bigger tightwad than the gag portrayed.
In one skit, he's robbed at gunpoint and the guy says, "Your money or your life!!". He stands around silent for a few seconds, and says, "I'm thinking! I'm thinking!"
In another one, he does a long sketch where's he's at home, and some hot blonde comes to his door (she was one of the bombshells of the day) with car trouble. SHe lures him out to her car, and then her accomplices jump out and kidnap him.
They take him back and try to get money out of him. A very hard task, turns out. They discover he has a little safe in his shoe, with a combination lock (light Maxwell Smart, but a safe, not a phone). They get it open, and he has some unredeemed bus ticket in it.

The crooks then hit on the idea of taking Jack to the bank and making him withdraw money. He does (and meets George Burns there, tries to signal George he's in trouble, but George is oblivious, thinking Jack has gone nuts).
They have a gun on Jack and he has to go to the teller. She says, "Hello Mr. Benny, here to make another deposit?" He says, "No..." She say, "Oh, you're just here to visit your money again?"
He says, "No, I want to make a withdrawal." He jaw drops wide open. Everyone in the bank stops what they're doing, amazed. He gets the money. More hilarity ensues, and the cops soon get there and rescue Jack. The bank had called them, knowing Jack would never withdraw money of his own will.
He gets his money and goes back to the bank to put it back in. The bank is closed. Word got out that Jack Benny had withdrawn his money, which causes a run on the bank, and it closed.

Pretty much. And, even more than that, if by some improbable set of circumstances, we were supposed to meet, and it turned out she was indeed "at some dudes house drinking", it wouldn't bother me a bit, 'cause there would be some innocent, Maybe Lucy Ricardo lunacy, explanation for it. :-)
For example, I might have set up a hot date for us at Henry's Smokehouse in town. She was coming there, but stopped off at Old Man Hogg's greenhouse on the way, 'cause she saw he was running a special on some tomatoes and other stuff.
She stopped there, gets to talking to him and Junior and they happen to show her some of their homemade hooch they made out back, and ask her if she would like to try some, and they'll let her have a little if she likes it.
And that is how Miley might "forget and end up drinking at some dude's (green)house".

Re the Ratcliffe thing. The UFO nuts have long held there were two factions in the government. Those that wanted to keep this secret (we can't handle the truth -- we'd go crazy) and those who want to put it all out and let it all hang out and let everyone see the evidence.
Ratcliffe may be an indicator the second faction is gaining some traction.
And re an Alien invasion. Don't worry about it. If even the most fantasitic UFO nut stuff is true, the aliens have no intention of invading us. If they did, they would've wiped us out already. If they're here, they're content to leave us be and study us (while maybe doing some experiments and dissecting a few of us and other animals from time to time), and have no intention of interacting with us beyond that.
Just like we'd have no intention of interacting with some lower species we study and experiment with.

The cashier removes the cash, placing it in the till with her gloved hand.
The cashier then makes change from the till with her hand, places it back in the same plastic cup, and offers me the cup to remove the change, using my hand.
Pretty clear transmission path, even with the plastic cup.
