Back in my day, if your unit was deploying and you were pregnant, than you got left home and didn't deploy. Knew of many women back then avoiding deployment through this policy. So is that policy changing?

51 I said before we did not have women serving in my unit. We did have some nurses/medics I met a the battalion level but no one at the company level, which was 90 percent of our training. Now that I recall, there were female soldiers in a data processing unit that sometimes used our armory.

But is it is not about whether women should serve. They have always served in many capacities. There was an argument or discussion on whether they should serve in certain capacities. The idea held by most for hundreds of years was it was a bad idea for women to serve in direct combat roles. I am not up for a big discussion of that right now, but really it came down to two issues. It was a question of morals and what society were wanted to be, and also a question of how it would effect overall unit cohesiveness.

They were not allowed on the Coral Sea or the Ranger when I was on them.
I remember after I got out they started putting females aboard Aircraft carriers and that a bunch of them became pregnant, never heard the numbers.

61 I think when Carlson talks about the "feminiazation" of the military, there is more to it that women serving in certain roles. I think it is about how the entire force is forced to be more effiminate. Didn't they make some Rotc troops walk in heels? Didn't they take forever cashiering a West Point grad who openly and publicly supported Communism?
I still hold the military in the highest regard. They are they best of this to this day. But something is going on here. There are things going on that never did before and for some reason most think that is ok. My fear is the best will leave the service or never join in the first place unless something changes. And a decade or two ago, congresscritters would be holding inquiries as we speak.

He used to meet with the military officers all the time to try to figure out what was really going on. He had a special love of the Marine Corps. My guess is he will speak up at some point.

100 it keeps going up and companies like XOM keep going up. My fear is the minute I buy in, the Dems will tax and regulate them to death. The thing with investing in a government controlled economy is you have to figure out who they will favor and who they will not. I noticed Boeing has been going up a lot lately. I mentioned before that that one company is one of the few both parties agree on. Doesn't mean they wont blow it regularly as they have in the past. But historically both sides have supported Boeing and its endeavors.

I did say this six or seven months ago as I recall. Still not a prediction because I don't do that. You can't predict these things, at best you can talk about the past and what went on before.

I think they decided that women can serve in combat roles, and I guess even the infantry. My concern is not a troop, but the leaders we have now. Are they focused on the mission? I sure as hell hope so.

That was happening to me non-stop when I built a new desktop and tried Ubuntu, using the built-in Firefox browser. Half the stuff on YouTube wouldn't play, especially not livestreams, and I could never open any video link from Twitter. I finally gave up on Firefox and installed Brave for Linux - problems vanished overnight! Now everything plays with no problems at all.

Same situation here.

But as with everything in life, our individual experiences may vary.

I'm seeing an increasing number of senior enlisted leaders who are detached from our history, heritage and our proper roll in big military.

Not a large number, but that percentage is indeed increasing.
And with the purging of folk who think the wrong way, I expect that percentage to continue to increase.

Almost as if there is a plan in place.
And we just don't know about it.
