Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Thai Prime Minister Sprays Reporters In Face With Disinfectant When They Annoy HimThe incident took place as Prayut, a former army commander who seized power in the Thai military coup of 2014, held a press event in Bangkok. The Associated Press reports that Prayut was asked about a possible reshuffling of his cabinet, and he retorted by telling reporters to mind their own business. Shortly after that, Prayut walked up to the front row of reporters, doused them with alcohol mist and then walked away. He ended up engaging with the press some more, but repeatedly kept spraying in their general direction...Truth is the best disinfectant, except for disinfectant.

Need more of this kind of thing. Its a pendulum thing; first reporters are needed because the truth is being hidden by those in power, then they become a destructive force to liberty and need to be culled back. Its like unions: you have abusive ghastly businesses exploiting workers horribly that unions fight, then unions become too powerful and are a parasite on the entire nation's economy and destroy business.
You never get that sweet middle where things are good on both sides, it just swings to extremes constantly until forced back. Posted by: Christopher R Taylor at March 09, 2021 01:26 PM (KZzsI) Posted by: Prayut at March 09, 2021 01:26 PM (830x5) 52

The North Face is being celebrated by the very industry it snubbed. The Colorado-based company recently rejected an order for 400 jackets from a Texas oil and gas company because it reportedly didn't want to be associated with an industry that doesn't meet its brand standards.
Ironically, the jackets and almost every product The North Face produces and sells is made with nylon, polyester and polyurethane, all of which come from petroleum. So, the Colorado Oil and Gas Association decided to have some fun with the situation. It bestowed its first-ever "Extraordinary Customer Award" on The North Face, saying it appreciates the company for its abundant use of oil and gas. The one my mom had as a teen (they were pretty rare in the 40's) lived to be 21. The one we got in the 60's, and almost died from a terrible infection, wasn't supposed to live very long and had semi-functioning rear legs its whole life lived to 22. The first one was extremely mellow and laid back, the second one more than made up for that.
Posted by: clutch cargo - processed in a facility that may contain lead at March 09, 2021 01:44 PM (46GDR) My first one was an apple head, lived to 19.5. Very laid back, would play fetch. would also bitch loudly at the drop of a hat. The younger, was a modern noggin, pointy faced, muscled up, schwartzenegger of a tom cat. loud and needy doesn't begin to do him justice. fooker would howl just to hear the echo in the shower. Swearsies! He would get up out of my lap, walk to the back of the house and into the walk-in tile shower and howl. When I'd go back there, after maybe ten minutes of serenading, he'd look over his shoulder at me and let another blast go, then walk off, bitching about the interruption. Actually, the Framers cribbed from the English Bill of Rights adopted in 1689 by Parliament after the Glorious Revolution drove James II off his throne.
The 2A equivalent is that Protestants were allowed to have weapons for self defense. For the most parts, the English did not use natural law as a justification which is why bit by bit they have lost their rights. Note the difference between subjects under the crown and its ministers and a republic where individuals of age are assumed to be sovereign. Posted by: whig at March 09, 2021 02:21 PM (pO7gM) 349

BTW, most of the current firearm restrictions date from the 1920's when due to violent labor strikes, violence remaining from Irish independence, and a fear of a Red revolution, the Brits used New York state's 1911 Sullivan Act as a model to tighten down restrictions on firearms. Ever since then, the ratchet has become more and more severe both in limiting self defense rights and in the effective means of doing so.
