The Quotes of The Day

Quote I

"They [property management owners] can change the rent rates within 30 days notice. I don't think that's fair,” Emily O’Donnell with the Housing Assistance Program Chattanooga Neighborhood Enterprise

Quote II

"The delivery of education must ensure that no child experiences harm from the resources that are shared." Manny Figueiredo, director of education for a school board in Ontario, Canada

Quote III

“They were definitely in talks on canceling the whole season over that picture. But our vice president of athletics and our coach really fought for us and kept the season alive,” Rory Freck, a John Burroughs High School baseball player

Quote IV

“I expect all this vile destructive self-serving nonsense from Meghan Markle – but for Harry to let her take down his family and the Monarchy like this is shameful,” Piers Morgan

Quote V

But there’s something else that’s going on that’s more subtle. What that is, is that the industry, the producers, are practicing serious capital discipline and they’re not roaring back to produce more oil. And also, they’re getting squeezed by the administration.

So,the ban on leasing — the prohibition on new leases from the Biden administration — that’s going to create a psychology in the industry of, “There’s going to be less available,” and the psychology drives the pricing as well.

As long as we see this hostile administration, we’re going to have a problem with prices. Shell Oil John Hofmeister

The ONT is making it official. There is now an official pool for when Kamala "The San Francisco Head Hunter" becomes *Resident of the White House.

In Embarrassing Senior Moment, Biden Forgets What Pentagon's Called, Blanks On Secretary Of Defense Name

After bumbling through a public appearance last week - at one point mumbling "What am I doing here?" while forgetting the names of key Democrats, the President of the United States on Monday couldn't remember the name of the Pentagon, or his own Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin - who spoke minutes before Biden took the stage to offer remarks during International Women's Day.

All official entries must be emailed to petmorons at gmail dot com. Not sure what the winner will receive. We are like the current administration, we will make up shit as we go along.

Well of course they did. White House praises 'courage' of Meghan and Harry after interview

White House press secretary Jen Psaki praised the "courage" of Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and Prince Harry for speaking out about mental health after their prime-time interview with Oprah Winfrey.

But she declined to say whether the president and his wife, who is a friend of Harry's, watched the bombshell TV appearance.

The couple used their first major TV interview since moving to California to accuse other members of the British royal family of racism, and the Duchess of Sussex said she had contemplated suicide.

Psaki was asked whether President Biden and the first lady had any reaction.

Jill might have watched it. Joe was in bed with his drool guard in place.

If I go out to dinner and have a bad meal and/or service, I won't go back. Serve rot to our armed forces, keep your contract.

The Pentagon on Monday said that no moves are being made to remove any company from food service operations after National Guard troops assigned to protect the U.S. Capitol got sick from eating tainted meals served to them last week.

About 50 National Guard troops have been treated for gastrointestinal complaints — six as outpatients at military treatment facilities and the others at an aid station set up at the Capitol, Defense Department spokesman John Kirby told reporters.

But after food vendor facilities were inspected multiple times, “with no substantial issues having been recorded,” Kirby said he is not aware of any changing contracts due to the illnesses.

Jester and Happy. Not what you think it is.

LEONI TWP., MI – An 18-year-old man was killed Saturday while running on I-94.

Shaun Happy, of Chelsea, was fatally hit by a Jeep on the freeway around 7:14 p.m., March 6, on I-94 near Sargent Road in Leoni Township, Blackman-Leoni Department of Public Safety Director Mike Jester said.

The driver, a 37-year-old man from Rochester Hills who was driving a 2020 Jeep westbound, was uninjured, Jester said.

Let's figure this out. To become a psychologist you need a Bachelor's Degree and A Doctorate Degree. So basically one is spending 8-12 years in higher education. If you are a psychologist and can't figure out how to get a hug. There is something wrong with you.

Renee Behinfar lives alone in Scottsdale, Ariz. The pandemic has been painfully isolating for her and has left her longing for warmth and touch.

On a recent afternoon, she finally was smothered in long-awaited hugs — by a 2,000-pound cow.

“It was really my first real hug of the year,” said Behinfar, 43, a psychologist who sought out bovine comfort with a friend.

People are signing up to hug cows at sanctuaries across the country, many desperate for affection as the nation approaches a full year of social distancing during the pandemic.

When Sammy the cow, who was rescued from a dairy farm, laid her head in Behinfar’s lap and fell asleep, Behinfar began to cry. The pandemic, she said, has been a time of unprecedented loneliness.

“In the end, I really didn’t want to let her go,” Behinfar said.

Doctors have God complexes? Who knew.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — The Medical Board of California said it would investigate a plastic surgeon who appeared in a videoconference for his traffic violation trial while operating.

The Sacramento Bee reports Dr. Scott Green appeared Thursday for his Sacramento Superior Court trial, held virtually because of the coronavirus pandemic, from an operating room. He was dressed in surgical scrubs with a patient undergoing the procedure just out of view; the beeps of medical machinery can be heard in the background.

Hey Honey, I found the perfect place to go on vacation!

Did you ever have a toy excavator as a child? It's probably a stupid question for anyone reading this website. If you didn't, you wished you did and if somehow you haven't gone on to work in heavy construction, you probably still hold that dream close to your heart: to use the big, big digger. Luckily for you and your (maybe too) young children, there's a theme park that'll let you live out your dirtwork-adjacent fantasies.

Diggerland USA in New Jersey is America's first water park slash excavation party paradise, and you can book there now for when it reopens on March 13. This isn't a sponsored piece, we're just really excited about that second bit, though the water park is surely fine, too. What we're into is the part with real machinery and the even more heavy-duty Diggerland XL, which is where you can actually get control of proper equipment and use it to crush an unfortunate car.

Who knew that New Jersey could be fun?

Genius Award Winner meets Tonight's Feel Good Story of The Day.

MARCH 3--Angered that her roommate was playing the Chic classic “Le Freak” “over and over again very loudly,” a Florida Woman allegedly battered the disco devotee during a 12:15 AM confrontation yesterday in the duo’s apartment, cops report.

According to an arrest affidavit, Mary Ann Lannon, 53, “became upset” after the 64-year-old victim--who is Lannon’s cousin--put the 1978 song on repeat.

Investigators allege that Lannon freaked out and pushed her kin into a “makeshift tiki bar, causing the bar to fall apart and the victim to strike her left eye on a speaker.” Lannon’s cousin, cops noted, suffered “severe swelling and bruising to the left eye.”

Lannon, who was arrested at the Tampa Bay-area apartment she shares with her cousin, was charged with domestic battery, a misdemeanor. Seen above, Lannon was released Tuesday afternoon from the county jail on her own recognizance.

A judge has ordered Lannon to have no contact with the victim, whom she has lived with for the last five years.

The sailors were already in place and the band had begun playing when Cher emerged in her outfit."

70 I used to think that Mommala would take office the first day of Bidens second year in office, because, you know, the Constitution says you can only be elected twice and only serve a total of 10 years, so if she takes over at 2Y+1d she can be reelected (giggle) twice.

But, you know what, they don't care about the Constitution and thinking that it matters anymore is just ADORBS. I will be surprised if she isn't in there by the end of the summer. And then she will get elected (giggle) twice, because no document written by old white men can bind a beautiful woman of color.

I've always been an artist of sorts, but painting has always been a difficult medium for me. And painting seascapes is very high end painting. Still, I'll see a scene like that and feel the desire to capture it.

Maybe some day. To be honest, I want to move on to sculpture. I like the three-dimensional aspect. I'll spend hours at the Loveland CO sculpture garden. A lot of good work there. Hell, Loveland has really neat sculpture pieces all over town. I'll leave the high end painting to others.

103 Incidentally, don't the English dirty usurpers non-Jacobite royal family have a well known and historically documented habit of frowning on marrying outside the blue bloods? I do seem to recall one of their kings having to choose between the throne and his American floozy, and going with the latter.

This all seems like a non issue, but why let history get in the way of a racial QQ session? I'm sure the black guys and gals getting shot at in the ghetto feel really empowered that some posh boys are whining about 'only' getting a few tens of millions of dollars and on-demand media attention.

This is a question to which I have given entirely too much thought. My initial impression was narcissist, yes, like Obama, the most archetypal narcissist I know of, but I came around to BPD. The tell is the amount of drama that she creates around her, and the fact that she seems not to be able to get along with anyone that she can't turn into a thrall.

I do not doubt that there are BPD men, but I am happy to say that I have not met any, or at least that I have not hung around them enough to say. The good thing about BPD is that it produces a revulsion at a gut level in those who are not vulnerable to the considerable charm that a Borderline person can muster, and I count myself lucky that I am one of those people.

246 Well, that was interesting. I just "fixed" a dead LED bulb, a "hundred watt equivalent". It flickered yesterday, and then went to about 25 watts worth of light. So I replaced it. Took the dead one apart just now, and I could clearly see that the two 6.8 uF, 200 volt caps on the board had overheated and swollen up; the plastic covers were split.

Dug around in the "electronic junk" box, and found two rated at 4.7 uF, 400 volts, and swapped them in. Screwed the bulb into my desk lamp. Bingo! It lit up brilliantly. So I glued the globe back on it. I will put it into some non-critical fixture, and see how it holds up.

Well, the reason I ask is two fold. First, if they have no record of you specifically because they never saw your ID, then they'll have a hard time restricting the unvaccinated from travel or large gatherings. They'll have to just take your word for it.

Second, if a strict ID policy is in place, I'd like to remind Democrats that showing an ID creates an undue burden on minorities and since the Dems are in full control of the government, the only conclusion can be that the Dems are trying to keep minorities from getting the vaccines.

If you get the vaccine, you can still catch and spread the Covid but you won't get as sick if you catch it.

An unvaccinated person can catch and spread Covid, but will supposedly get much sicker and thus more likely to stay home if sick.

Sounds like unvaccinated people would be less likely to be out and about when contagious and thus are a lower disease transmission risk.

Unless it is the government (who ignores laws they don't like when they like) they shouldn't be able to check.

Shouldn't.

Now whoever- say an airline- could make you actually providing proof a standard to use their service.

Well until the government passes a law establishing a national database that can be searched, but I am sure the Supreme Court would say that is Unconstituti...snark.

When Chuckles takes over, then the kid could easily get the prince title, and would have if these two hasn't screwed the pooch so.

Public health has nothing to do with the shitshow Covid responses from the Deep State gubbermint, or the Democrat/Progda machine. It never has. It has been a Psy Op from the start. Real data proves it.
One simple obvious example is that it's proven that kids aren't affected by the 'Vid, and they don't spread it to their elders at home. Yet, schools in Blue states remain closed, and the teachers are screaming bloody murder when asked to do their jobs. Cuz, the 'Vid.
What is it, really? It is a first step to overthrow a formerly free nation by using it's people's sense of fair play and caring about their neighbors against them.
Breaking down the good spirits of free people is the goal.
And yes, it is a non-military war against America, started by the CCP.

Seeing Christina Applegate (yum) and David Spade continuously try to hide their cracking up is so much more genuine and real than just about anything you see on what passes for TV today.

It was a new character so in the dress rehearsals, Farley apparently wasn't quite so animated. I don't think anyone in the sketch knew what he was going to do until it was happening live.

And *none* of them but Farley knew about the breakaway table they put in for him to flop on at the end, so it shocked everyone. Again the whole cast's reaction is completely real, especially Christina (yum) who looks totally fucking terrified.

That's precisely the point. You don't give your opponent a name they like. You tag them with something that makes them look less than lovely to the public. It's what they've been doing to the right for decades.

Turnabout is fair play. Sure, they'll squawk about it, but the beauty is, it's actually true. And the public knows it is. No amount of squawking will disguise the truth when it's so in our faces every time a woke ad pops up on TV or Twitter/FB ban another right-leaning poster.

As was posted here earlier, the old epithets like "socialist" or even "communist" don't have power anymore. If the public thinks about them at all, they think they're probably good things. They've been trained to think corps = evil. Well, the corps are on the left's side now. We're simply amplifying the truth.

Posted by: CharlieBrown'sDildo at March 09, 2021 03:11 AM (Q9lwr)

584 Caps take a beating. You wouldn't think that they would, having no moving parts other than electrons, but the dielectric is usually very thin, and the changing electric field does produce mechanical stress, especially in something like a switching power supply where it's being charged/discharged at hundreds or thousands of hertz.

Of course, once even a small amount of leakage current starts, it's like water infiltrating an earthen dam. Leakage current -> more heat -> more dielectric degradation -> more leakage...

Most of us have probably seen old equipment where the caps have literally exploded.

lots of fiddly bits in lowers, and springs, which like to launch itty bitty parts off into the distance. a small clear plastic trash bag, or a dry cleaning bag can corral them prior to extended flight, if you do your manipulation inside one. also, do all your w*k on a racist surface, so the bitty pieces stand out when you are looking for them again. the pivot pin detent installation tool is very helpful, as is the trigger pin alignment tool. i've got a Homie's tool box full of all the different weapons of mass destruction needed. everything but the torque wrench fits in there.

and the vise, of course.

e-mail me ifn you want details.

Posted by: redc1c4 (*OTUS Zhou Bai-Din Cheated) at March 09, 2021 03:42 AM (EqQXp)

588 oh yeah: get a bag or two of "sprong" replacement parts... the various detent pins and their tiny springs, etc, that shoot off, never to be seen again, at least whilst you are looking for them.

i also found some fiber free applicators on Amazon, so i can use brake cleaner (red can) to completely clean upper receiver barrel recess/threads and barrel extension surfaces, then gently apply anti-seize compound, prior to assembly (muzzle devices as well). otherwise that shit gets everywhere. ask me how i know...

also, torque your barrel nut to 30 ft/lbs 3 times, to w*rk everything in, prior to actually going for the final installation torque. do NOT go for max on the barrel nut, but middle of the range, then just enough more to clear the passage of the gas tube, if you aren't already indexed. M-Carbo has the best price i've found on Rok-Sett (SP?) for the threaded pins on your gas block and hand guard, if you aren't going old school M-16 style on those.

Harry and William each inherited around $10 million from Diana when she died (her divorce settlement). The money was invested for them, and today Harry's inheritance is estimated to be worth over $30 million.

Harry and William also each received $2 million, per year, from their dad Charles' holdings. Apparently Chuck stopped paying Harry's yearly "allowance" when Harry decided to move out of the U.K. and give up royal duties. And the queen stopped paying for Harry & Megs' security teams, which is why they're pissed. Without the yearly millions from Chuck and Liz, Harry and Meggie had to dip into Harry's inheritance money, and at the rate Meggie spends, that wasn't going to last long. So they were "forced" to cut multi-million-dollar deals with Netflix, etc., just to make ends meet! Such hardship! No wonder they're mad!
