A top Democratic operative says voter fraud, especially with mail-in ballots, is no myth. And he knows this because he’s been doing it, on a grand scale, for decades.
Mail-in ballots have become the latest flashpoint in the 2020 elections. While President Trump and the GOP warn of widespread manipulation of the absentee vote that will swell with COVID polling restrictions, many Democrats and their media allies have dismissed such concerns as unfounded.
But the political insider, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he fears prosecution, said fraud is more the rule than the exception. His dirty work has taken him through the weeds of municipal and federal elections in Paterson, Atlantic City, Camden, Newark, Hoboken and Hudson County and his fingerprints can be found in local legislative, mayoral and congressional races across the Garden State. Some of the biggest names and highest office holders in New Jersey have benefited from his tricks, according to campaign records The Post reviewed.
"An election that is swayed by 500 votes, 1,000 votes -- it can make a difference," the tipster said. "It could be enough to flip states."
The whisteblower -- whose identity, rap sheet and long history working as a consultant to various campaigns were confirmed by The Post --- says he not only changed ballots himself over the years, but led teams of fraudsters and mentored at least 20 operatives in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania -- a critical 2020 swing state.

A Bernie Sanders die-hard with no horse in the presidential race, he said he felt compelled to come forward in the hope that states would act now to fix the glaring security problems present in mail-in ballots.
"This is a real thing," he said. "And there is going to be a f–king war coming November 3rd over this stuff ... If they knew how the sausage was made, they could fix it."

They don't want to fix it. They want the vote to remain fixed.

41 Honestly, this is not surprising news. I worked on the IT side of election systems for years - I worked on Michigan, Maine, Mississippi and Conn's systems. All paths of possible fraud have been known for years. The biggest impediment to fixing systems, and ensuring fair and honest elections are the Secretaries of State (of both parties). They were, and I imagine, are, monumentally disinterested in fixing the identified holes in the systems - both in registration and tabulation.

Relevant: in 2016, Wayne County MI precincts unable to do a basic reconciliation of their ballots and roster of voters = 62% (so high that the frivolous Jill Stein recount was stopped in its tracks, under state law). In 2020, same statistic = 71%*. Who runs the MI legislature? Yeah.

Where election integrity is actually seriously addressed (FL, OH - I think), what have been battlegrounds for a generation are taken off the map, and all the visible indicators line up (GOP success and/or Trump success = popularity = election outcomes). Elsewhere? Varying degrees of disconnect between all visible/common sense factors and presidential election results.

I do not think the needed reforms will come in time to prevent some really bad outcomes in the future.

AZ Senate won their lawsuit to subpoena the Maricopa county machines for a real audit -- something might come out of that.

The GOP's future lies in the Rust Belt, and I've not seen or heard anything concrete being done by the PA / MI / WI legislatures that are supposedly GOP-controlled.

Where election integrity is actually seriously addressed (FL, OH - I think), what have been battlegrounds for a generation are taken off the map, and all the visible indicators line up (GOP success and/or Trump success = popularity = election outcomes). Elsewhere? Varying degrees of disconnect between all visible/common sense factors and presidential election results.

All paths of possible fraud have been known for years. The biggest impediment to fixing systems, and ensuring fair and honest elections are the Secretaries of State (of both parties). They were, and I imagine, are, monumentally disinterested in fixing the identified holes in the systems - both in registration and tabulation.

It is very clear that the GOP, including down to the state level in many cases, wanted Trump gone - hell they never accepted him as president or party leader from his appearance on the scene.

Every one of the back-up/safeguards in the original constitutional design (state legislatures, Congress), and those whose role has "evolved" (courts), completely and utterly failed here. As catastrophic as removing Trump from the WH was, the systemic collapse is possibly even more important.

Hear me out. The problem is not the fraud, that is the effect, or the planned result. The problem is that we migrated from a relatively secure system of in person voting using auditable systems to one of complete chaos. By design.
In the 80s we used to worry about democrat groups busing people around on election day to vote under assumed names in multiple polling stations. That was fraud (the kind the dems claimed did not exist) and was enabled by poor roll maintenance and lack of ID. That was the fraud that the GOP decided we just had to out vote.

But then we relaxed mail in requirements, and then we went electronic, and then the shit show of 2020. This was all designed to make fraud easier.
The story line here is that we went from FLA 2000 where EVERY ballot was examined with a microscope to audit that vote, to today where we have to trust the mother f--ckers that stole the election. Regardless of outcome this system is so broken that it is not democracy and not legitimate. It is as if people could pay taxes by "swearsies" without records, receipts, audits, or threat of penalt

I believe Canada, of all places, has an excellent system - paper ballots, observers, voter ID (not sure about absentee or other not in-person voting, but believe it's minimal). This is not rocket science. I've participated in int'l election assistance activities to post-civil-war states having their first elections. The simple approach *insisted upon* by donors and the key recongizing powers, US, EU, UN - are as obvious as the measures we're talking about there.

That being said, it's only been, what, 100 working days since the election, and in that time a new legislature had to be seated and things have been tied up in court? 100 days is like rocket docket for anything in a court. I'm willing to wait to see how this plays out and not give up yet.

259 NJ went this route. With Abbott which required better school districts to send cash to poorer ones. This resulted in some districts getting more money per student than Princeton. (not a joke.)

Also with Mt. Laurel. That one required high cost areas to zone for (and subsidize) low cost housing. The feds do this with Section 8, but that mostly affects apartments and lower middle class (who have gated complexes (like Zimmerman) but the criminals are inside the gate.)

Mt Laurel resulted in a scramble by towns to find a place to put their low cost housing. It was a shit show. It mostly impacted working class neighborhoods since the wealthy areas were spread out enough and small enough that they could make a deal with a neighboring town to put it on the border.

Both these decisions (they were both legislated in the courts) harmed the working and middle class, and helped the administrative state. They ruined NJ.

BTW, this is also the plan TFG had with moving immigrants to the heartland - punish the productive classes.
