There's a group restoring one of the old Nike-Hercules sites here in Alaska -- Site Summit. I keep meaning to go up there and see what they've done.

Nike-Hercules was an interesting concept. How it was supposed to work was by setting off nukes in the paths of incoming Soviet bombers, so they could be effective without having extremely good accuracy (as the old saying goes, "close" counts with horseshoes, hand grenades, and hydrogen bombs).

This would have kinda sucked for anyone who happened to be on the ground underneath, but hey, omelets, eggs.

I had a friend with a 60's Impala. Pretty car but pretty incompressible. And then they made him put seatbelts in it in the 80s. The dashboard was a steel wedge. You would of pivoted at the hip and sliced the top of your head off at eye level. He never ran into anything though, he had a missing sewer grate rip his axle off.

I had a 77 nova that I ran into a concrete embankment at 55mph. The main thing that deformed was the steering wheel column which my chest pushed in about a foot. I felt like hell for months.

280 How is there a "single vehicle traffic collision?" That is a lousy way to avoid saying "accident." If it's a single vehicle, it isn't "traffic." And if he hits ... the ground, it isn't really a "collision" in the sense that people usually mean (like another car, a tree, a building, etc.).

Why not just say "incident" in this case?

My opiate experience is limited to 2 prescriptions of vicodin and 1 prescription of oxy (5mg), none refillable. Not my thing. However, assuming you can get a clean supply, opioids are really not the scourge they are made out to be. Our bodies have opioid receptors, after all. So if you do a line everyday of stuff you know is clean, and you otherwise maintain your physical, mental, and emotional health, you're probably better off than, say, alcohol. Hart is 54 and he's in pretty damn good shape in this regard while I'm going to guess that even among the horde, us 53+ contingent aren't in as good physical and mental shape. I'm not advocating that people use anything, but it's not helpful to take an absolute position and be ignorant of a lot of related information.

It's highly likely it was the Navy, and it's damn near certain it was just a tragic accident. However, Bubba was up for re-election, and the fear was this was a terrorist attack, so the Deep State went into overdrive, preventing the truth from coming out.

The official story of course, is complete bullshit. What really happened? Well, as with any good conspiracy, we only know so much, and the rest we have to speculate. It's very possible if it was the Navy, there are only a very few select individuals who had the full story, and know exactly what happened. And as we all know, the brass in every branch of service are full members of Deep State.

Methadone was always a scam, and it's rarely used these days. Big Pharma didn't like the idea of street competition, so they made their own. You aren't allowed to get these people hooked on this stuff, and get rich doing it, that's OUR job!

436 >>>>Anybody remember that Steven Spielberg teevee fantasy series from the early 80's or so? There was an episode called "Hell Toupee" about a demonic hairpiece that turned anyone wearing it into a killer. I was pretty young at the time, but I enjoyed it.

Little League, school bands, class plays... fine. I'm talking about the kind of sports where the kid gets a personal trainer and spends eight hours a day on it, or the kind of music where the kid practices eight hours a day, or the kind of show business where you let your kid come within a hundred miles of anyone from Hollywood.
