The Morning Report - 2/22/21 [J.J. Sefton]

Good morning, kids. Happy birthday to some old white guy named George Washington. Start of a new week and several things are popping at once, not least of which is the coming apart at the seams of our society even as the illegal and evil junta officially known as the Democrat Party is making its move to not only consolidate power but to officially outlaw any and all opposition. The effort becomes that much more effective, though, when krony korporationz - along with colleagues, neighbors and even family members - put the iron in the glove by making life impossible for the average citizen who refuses to knuckle under and grovel at the fetid feet of their socialist/globalist/anti-American overlords.

In any case, some of the bigger stories popping up include:

-- the long knives coming out for Angel of Death Cuomo, which his Emmy Award and best-selling fictional book on his pandemic "leadership" are not able to shield him from,
-- the catastrophic economic, psychological and physical toll the two-week lockdown, which has now been ongoing for nearly 50 weeks has taken on us showing no signs of being lifted by Dr. Sigmoid Fraud (aka Anthony Fauci), the quack hack whose word is Gospel while his record is G-d awful, and despite the fact that this Chinese virus is provably marginally worse than common flu and that we have achieved herd immunity already per Johns Hopkins (I guess they'll have a gun to their head to retract that claim),
-- the repercussions over the spectacular failure of Texas' energy grid during last week's deep freeze and its implications of the absolute madness of "going green,"
-- the concomitant, rapidly-approaching catastrophe of the Junta destroying our fossil fuel industry and the economy in general when cheap, abundant energy is no longer available,
-- the danger to our national security when the Middle East flares up yet again due to our reliance on foreign energy and how it only emboldens our geo-political enemies and rivals in that region and elsewhere to potentially get frisky,
-- and of course the complete erasure of our southern border when instant citizenship - and official Democrat Party registration - is granted to millions just for showing up.

Meanwhile, small business that used to account for nearly 75% of our economy has been decimated, and what remains subsumed by a handful of mega-corporations, all conveniently aligned with the Democrat junta. At the same time, said junta is printing and borrowing so much money that very soon the word quadrillion will replace trillion when we talk about the national debt. All of this is, as the saying goes, unsustainable. At the risk of invoking The Monkey's Paw, given the nature of the evil that now controls our government and much of society, perhaps a Cloward-Piven implosion is preferable to living in a neo-GDR. That said, why not help it along?

There is a saying in some parts of the Balkans, "hiqja qimen thiut" which roughly translates to: every hair from the boar. This phrase grew in popularity, especially around the time of the collapse of the Soviet Union and fall of communism in the Eastern Bloc states. What it means is a simple metaphor - the government is the boar and it can be killed by subtly plucking every hair from its fat body.

Less poetically, it's a guide on how to dismantle the bureaucracy that communist regimes rely on...

... But if there's one thing consistent in American history, it's that our government doesn't fight well against decentralized forces. The 20-year war in Afghanistan is a current example. So, the good news -- if you're uncomfortable with the rise of agitprop teachings in the form of public school indoctrinations, church humiliation exercises and mandatory Critical Race Theory training in companies like Coca-Cola that just want you to "Try And Be Less White" -- is that the bureaucracy that the left grows more and more dependent on, is extremely fragile. Ironically, the easiest way to break it is to heavily participate in it. Every hair from the boar...

...There are subsidies for everything. Housing, clothing, food, electricity, hot water and home heating fuels, hell even cellphones and internet bills are picked up by Uncle Sam (thanks, Obama!) Even if you earn too much, the processing time for millions of new applications would drain the system even faster and demoralize government workers. Before you describe your pride to me, remember that illegal immigrants do not hesitate to take every advantage of our social services. The reason communism ultimately fails is because more is taken out than can be put in.
-- In most states in America, you can opt out of weekly tax withholding and choose to pay at the end of the year. This gives our government systems less funds to gamble with during the year. Only the financially savvy should attempt this.
-- Caught speeding or fined for not wearing a mask? Ask for a trial. Most citations have an option to plead not guilty and if you don't pay it, you will either be given a court date or have it dropped all altogether. Extra points for utilizing a public defender. Worse case is you end up paying the ticket anyway, but at least you did your part to clog the system.
-- I don't know of any places left in this country with well-kept roadways. That means if you're unlucky enough to get a flat tire, because you totally, absolutely, maybe hit a pothole, you can sue the town. A few dollars to file a civil claim and you could end up on a new set of wheels and tires...

Sarah Hoyt had a great post some time after the election was stolen about each of us becoming a practitioner of "Irish democracy." (can't seem to find the link but here's her blog). As Bill Ayers discovered, hurling Molotov cocktails at military installations and building bombs in Greenwich Village townhouses doesn't do much. It's the "long march through the institutions" that got us to where we are today. If each of us becomes a pest and a nuisance by going right up to the line without crossing it, at a minimum, it will drive them nuts and perhaps even overload their capacity to rule.

Another idea is to challenge them, not from the right but by going even further to the left than Titty Caca Cortez. Form a 501-C3 and call it the "Committee for Progressive Accountability" or something like that, and whenever something gets screwed up as it inevitably will, issue a press release that blames their incompetence on not being fully on board with progressive and socialist ideals. Call them out for stealing the election - from Bernie Sanders in the primaries.

We're behind the lines now. Time for us to sow some dissolution and discord since we are now counterculture. My two kopeks, for what they're worth.

This happened to us 3 or 4 years back. Hit a massive pothole in SC near the GA border. We contacted the state, submitted our paperwork, and got completely reimbursed for a new tire and tow service. A few phone calls was all it took.

I guess I don't understand this line of thinking. It dovetails with that 15-min interview I watched the other day in the sidebar with Michael Malice. I don't see the American government, now which appears to be lunging unimpeded toward communism, being fragile at all. They're steamrolling everything in their path, they steal what they want, they're imprisoning and stripping the constitutional rights of Americans and not a damned thing is being done to stop them. Ok, so we can nibble at the edges, get on as many social services as we can, break the system from overload. But what really needs to happen is brute force against them. A massive pushback, from individuals, from states. I wish they were really as fragile as is hoped.

The NOAA even had the gall to say no major hurricane had made landfall in the US for ten years - and they said that less than ten years after Ike. The people of Bolivar Peninsula would no doubt disagree with the characterization of a cat-4 storm surge as not major were they alive to do so.

Frankly, I don't want government assistance anyway. After Allison (which up until Harvey was referred to simply as "The Flood"), my parents were offered a FEMA loan, but the terms were horrific. Had they taken it, the government would have had the authority to, e.g., prevent them from purchasing a new car. They declined.

I'm not sure, because there are a lot of factors. Theoretically that (harsher more so than earlier) would make sense, unless it was so severe that it didn't penetrate deeply into the general population (think Ebola) I think the relative virulence/infectivity potential of the virus coupled with how extensively it spreads into the population in question is key.

This has been so infuriating to me.

We have data now. We can observe and state trends. But we have been given no information whatsoever about blood types, genetic variables, and other factors. Instead we got elevated case counts, motorcycle deaths counted as COVID-19 deaths, etc.

Two years ago I went to an orientation meeting at Virginia Tech. The brand new admissions director said that Tech didn't care about test scores, they were not important.

Then I went to the Engineering School's orientation, and they basically said everything that guy just said was bullshit.

HOWEVER - the female director of admissions into the engineering school had a presentation showcasing 6 students, 1 white girl, 4 women of color, and an Arab male.

So I suspect that it is a matter of time.

241 On the topic of resistance - Irish Democracy, going Galt, whatever - I was thinking about the Arab world this weekend. The Arab World wasn't great but also wasn't a total, regressed basket case until relatively recently. I got to thinking of what led up to its enormous, disastrous collapse. It was radicalism. The Islamic radicals started rebelling and seizing power. Everyone who was smart left the Arab world. By the mid 80s, essentially everyone from the Arab world worth having was already in the West. No one has ever suffered brain drain like the Arab world (especially Yemen as the stand-out example) has since the late sixties.

The radicals took over, and the quality people left. I've decided to keep my eyes peeled for out-migration from here. It's harder here because there are so few places to go, but it is likely worth keeping an eye on.

Yes indeed. A strategy of overwhelming the system. It would work, too. Sadly, no one is willing. Take a much smaller example of when this *didn't* work: the TSA's nudie cameras. People objected to this gross invasion for a number of reasons: some because it doesn't work, some because of modesty, some because of general privacy concerns, some because they are incorrigible, some from a civil liberties standpoint, etc.

What was the best way to end the TSA body scanning system? Opt out. Force the pat down. Every time. If more than about 5%-7% of travelers had done so, the system would have collapsed. Airports would slow to a crawl, flights would be constantly missed, scheduling out have blown up, etc. Yet virtually no one did. And the system remains, stronger and more invasive than ever.

Has enough changed to move the "opt for whatever clogs up the system" group from less than 1% to the 7%-10% that is probably needed? I hope so, but I very much doubt it.

312 It's been decades since I've been in Maryland. I grew up in Wheaton and for a number of years my folks had a beach house in O.C. We used to "hit the beach" several times a summer, go back again in the fall and even spent a New Years or two there. I miss the fresh seafood and DelMarVa corn.

Non-Marylanders just don't "get it" about Ocean City. Having traveled to many other beach destinations, OC definitely lost a lot of appeal for me. But I have so many memories there as a kid, teenager, and young adult. Nostalgia will always take me back there from time to time.

(and note that nothing specific was provided in that regard in the OP. One can find more information about, for example, applying for Social Security disability payments - or even the fact that it's a workable approach - on a random neo-nazi site than what was provided here.)

Hoyt's advice is premised on two things: first, her own experience with the pussy pass, and her assumption that of course everyone will be treated as leniently, and secondly the law enforcers not being hypocrites and therefore not willing to make unprincipled exceptions to make line-pushers into horrible examples.

Once you think about what she's saying in those terms, you realize how idiotic it is. But don't take my word for it! Go ahead and try it, see where it gets you. Just don't plan on success.

I do that, every single time. I have never once been through the cancer machine. My immediate family, the same.

I still remember how Glenn Reynolds just totally shut up about those things and all the bribery that had happened (John Pistole had very definite financial connections to the people manufacturing them), after making a big show of protesting them for a few months. That was the second real indication I had of what a total cuck he really was. (The first being the Gates of Vienna deplatforming incident that got him to actually respond to me publicly.)

America deserves what it's getting. Those of us who don't deserve it have seen it coming for a long time and have done what we can to minimize the personal damage, but it's not the first choice by any means.

326 I'm part of a youth program that teaches integrity, patriotism, and self-reliance. We used to only serve half the population. However, in an act of long-term subversion against anti-American anti-Western-culture programming, we've opened the program to all youth in America.

Girls are no longer stuck in the "woke" pro-abortion Girl Scouts ghetto; they can join the Scouts BSA program in the Boy Scouts of America.

A lot of left-wing hatemongers are screaming that this is some kind of terrible threat to progressive ideals. Maybe folks on the right should consider whether those loons are, well, right.

Girls should learn to camp, shoot, kayak, climb, give First Aid and rescue the helpless. Selling cookies is a limited skill set.

They have not changed requirements for girls at all.

What BSA skills would you NOT want your daughter or wife to know?

Troops are separate entities so there is limited overlap with boys.

Charter organizations can limit membership so if you want to join an all-female heterosexual mormon troop you can maybe find or start one.

Most troops are open to any religion. You can learn a lot from your catholic/protestant/jewish/hindu brothers.
