Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Morning Report - 2/17/21 [J.J. Sefton]A left-wing activist facing criminal charges for his involvement in the Capitol riots received $35,000 from both CNN and NBC for footage he recorded of a Trump supporter being fatally shot inside the Capitol building, according to records he filed in federal court on Tuesday. Lawyers for John Sullivan, a 26-year-old Utah native, disclosed the payments as part of the activist's argument that he was acting as a journalist in the Capitol rather than a rioter. "Defendant is legitimately self-employed as a documentarian and it is oppressive to require that he not be allowed to continue his primary area of employment for an extended period of time," Steven R. Kiersh, the Sullivan lawyer, wrote in a court filing in which he argued for Sullivan to be allowed to continue using Facebook and Twitter. Sullivan, who founded the social justice group Insurgence USA, was charged on Jan. 13 with illegally entering the Capitol, civil disorder, and violent or disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds." Prosecutors cited video that Sullivan recorded inside the Capitol in which he called for burning down the building, while egging on others who had broken into the building. "We accomplished this shit. We did this together. Fuck yeah! We are all a part of this history," he said in a video cited by prosecutors. "Let's burn this shit down," he also allegedly said. The question is did XiNN and NBC pay him before or after the fact? Given that Capitol Police were actually opening the doors and letting some of the goons in and the actions of DC Mayor Muriel Bowser before the fact in not beefing up security ahead of the rally, this latest revelation is kind of telling. But, naturally President-in-Exile Donald Trump as well as upwards of half to two thirds of this nation are to blame for a "violent insurrection" in an attempt to overthrow the government. Amazing how no matter how provably guilty and no matter how heinous the crime committed by Leftists, it always redounds on the victims. Meanwhile, the Valerie Jarrett/Nazi collaborator George Soros-led junta speaking through its demented meat puppet Zhou Bai-Din, aka President Aqualung, is signaling (to me anyway) an actual purge of perhaps several thousand people. Biden said, "I got involved in politics, to begin with because of civil rights and opposition to white supremacist, the Ku Klux Klan and the most dangerous people on America continue to exist. That is the greatest threat of terror in America, domestic terror. So I would make sure my Justice Department and the Civil Rights Division is focused heavily on those very folks. I would make sure we focus on how to deal with the rise of white supremacy. You see what's happening the studies that are beginning to be done, maybe at your university as well, about the impact of former military, former police officers on the growth of white supremacy in some of these groups." He added, "You may remember in one of my debates from the former president, I asked him to condemn the Proud Boys he wouldn't do. It he said stand standby and stand, ready whatever the phrase exactly was. It is a bane on our existence. It has always been as Lincoln said we have to you appear to a battle angels these guys are not and women they are in fact demented. They are dangerous people."I can picture him fighting with Robert Byrd and Herman Talmadge. Oh wait, they were his best friends! Couple this with Malig-Nancy Pelosi's declaration of wanting some sort of 9/11-style commission to investigate the Black Wednesday Reichstag Fire "riot" that made her allegedly shit her girdle so bad it left stains on Titty Caca Ocasio-Cortez's dress three buildings away. Considering the 9/11 commission accomplished nothing except creating an entire new federal law enforcement bureaucracy - thanks Dubya!! - that does nothing but molest and impede the citizenry while apologizing to Islamists for us infidels not dying fast enough, given the current political climate, this one scares the crap out of me insofar as what the already predetermined findings will be: Anyone who does not swear some sort of allegiance to the Democrat Party, renounce Trump, "whiteness," perusing websites like Ace of Spades and Cut Jib Newsletter, sing the Black National Anthem while holding your child down as his/her gender is reassigned, surrender all weapons and ammunition etc. etc. will have to face the music. Prison? Maybe for some. For most, the prison of being denied goods, services and money from the State-owned company store, i.e. Amazon and Bank of America as well as the US Treasury in the form of denied bennies. Along with taking out Trump, the lockdowns wiped out a large swathe of the American economy: small businesses. One of Bob Ross' happy accidents, so to speak. Whether the Junta is doing this out of actual fear or merely paranoia makes no difference. This is getting real. G-d help them if we ever do give them something to wet their diapers about. Inshalla...

Harris and Biden don't use the toilet without orders from Rice and Jarrett. But yes, this is absolutely the Obama faction knocking off Clinton Inc operative Cuomo. It started right after a poll came out indicating Dems would vote for Cuomo in the next primary and Biden/Harris would both lose badly. Posted by: Ian S. at February 17, 2021 07:43 AM (6XLoz) 16
willowed on the ONT:
A short, simple explanation as to why Texas went in for wind power: First, let's just point out that there was never any need for it, it was a Corporate Fashion Accessory. then, factor in that Texas has a lot of competing energy companies, and that the Feds offered very lucrative subsidies to anyone who would build wind power, without any regard as to its viability. (It was Holy, so could not be questioned) Lots of empty land in West Texas where no one would complain about uglifying the landscape with these behemoths. It made all the dems extremely happy, and it made all the GOP-e grifters even more happy, since they had a hand in the permitting payoffs, the construction payoffs, the subsidy payoffs. When the public asked "why, though?" they would show all the great Supply numbers and give a speech about Energy Diversity and if you weren't impressed by that, or tried to question it, then you were some kind of troglodyte. It was guaranteed to make a fortune for everyone! And suddenly, this week, their Titanic hit an iceberg blown down from the north. Posted by: Tom Servo at February 17, 2021 07:43 AM (bxPTJ) 17

The power crisis in Texas is a perfect candidate for a case study. TX doesn't import power from any other state -- they stand alone. This makes a perfect example of what an entire country would be like. They had what - 20% - of their power coming from renewables? Not just wind but solar too -and they are failing at epic proportions.
This is a fantastic opportunity to shove this back into the faces of the green energy lovers on why we can't rely on wind and solar. Supplement - sure ok. I wish no ill will on any of the Texans suffering, well except maybe for the greenie libtards who think wind/solar will save humanity. Stay frosty, friends. Seems like as good a time as any to roll out that Floyd Ferris quote:
"Did you really think we want those laws observed?" said Dr. Ferris. "We want them to be broken. You'd better get it straight that it's not a bunch of boy scouts you're up against... We're after power and we mean it... There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What's there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted - and you create a nation of law-breakers - and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system, Mr. Reardon, that's the game, and once you understand it, you'll be much easier to deal with." Posted by: blaster at February 17, 2021 07:50 AM (ZfRYq) 41

This latest propaganda is Herb Marcuse, Ted Adorno, Max Horkheimer - the "Frankfurt School" of communists who were kicked out by the you know whos and were allowed to emigrate to America. They set up shop at the Universities and set about destroying the USA. This shows their gratitude at escaping almost certain death, naturally. You may remember a slogan "Make Love Not War", that was Marcuse if I remember correctly.

Typically what you do is install the panels on the sunny part of the roof, as well as a high capacity battery and some hardware to tie into the main grid. A lot of experts say that Tesla's lasting contribution to technology will actually be their batteries. It's really not a bad residential solution if you live in a sunny area, but the upfront cost is very high. The batteries alone are like $25k even before getting to the panels. It's really not a bad residential solution if you live in a sunny area, but the upfront cost is very high. The batteries alone are like $25k even before getting to the panels. But generators aren't cheap either, and you'll be getting significant savings on your electric bill every month.

Part of the issue with NG deliveries - crucial - are everybody went "green" and replaced the pumps that actually move natural gas through the pipelines with pumps powered by electricity.
They formerly worked by ... natural gas ... a very elegant solution to An engineering problem. But the "Clean Air" act decides such things for us. There was talk of damming the Colorado at Grand Canyon, and Glen Canyon dam was probably the impetus.
Interestingly enough, the Sierra Club was also adamantly against illegal migration and illegal aliens, reasoning that more people means more pressure on limited resources. It's like how he lies about how he and his second wife Jill met. Jill was married at the time, and she and her first husband volunteered to work on Biden's first senate campaign. Jill worked out of Biden's home (where Biden lived with his first wife Neilia), and that's likely when Jill and Biden first began screwing each other. But then Biden's wife died -- either as a suicide or in an accident -- and Biden decided that he'd better hide his relationship with Jill, so they made up a story that they met for the first time a few years after Neilia's death. I'd be all for adding nuclear capacity to Bay City here in TX. But one thing I'd really like to see: nuclear waste reprocessing. The French do this and the amount of nuclear waste they can't do anything with is surprisingly small, given that 70% or so of their electricity comes from nukes. And, unlike France, we have a place to store the waste products we can't do anything with (only Finland has such a place).

I am assuming it. I have occasional contact with Mr. Lifson and I can assure you that he does not have the financial means to weather an extended legal battle with the likes of Dominion and no doubt its billionaire backers. And even if they did, the jury pools in California (where he is based) won't exactly be friendly to his side of the argument. Posted by: J.J. Sefton at February 17, 2021 08:28 AM (s2VJv) 202
You state that like it's a fact. Has Sidney Powell retracted anything? A good lawyer could argue that Dominion was acting as an agent of the feds and is prohibited from violating the First Amendment. Furthermore you're validating MP4's hypothesis that "our side" will never do a damn thing against tyranny.

You need sustained winds much higher than you have stated. There is a lot of info on the web documenting wind resources. The power that can be extracted goes as the cube of the speed so lower wind speeds like you have are not economical. One of the problems with large scale wind power is that where the resources are located tend to be far from where the power is needed. Posted by: pawn at February 17, 2021 08:32 AM (ogSaj) 231

The very phrase "green power" is a joke. It implies permanence and harmony. Neither is true.
Everything we do is a conversion of one form of energy to another, and there is NO SUCH THING as 100% efficient conversion. We simply take natural energy - in a form we can't control - and convert it to a form we can control, at a net loss. That's how it works. Solar is diverting energy that would normally impact the earth, and diverting it. Wind is diverting energy that would do "something" and diverting it. Since both net sources are so big, and our initial divergence so small, we simply don't - and shouldn't, yet - consider the consequences. But do either, on a large enough scale, and there surely will be consequences. Which the mushy headed liberal fucks never consider - because they are fools and simpletons. I can't imagine - simply can't, and I have a rough working knowledge of these things - how big a battery facility would need to be to store the amount of energy needed to run a medium sized manufacturing facility for a day. Just a single day, mind you, in the middle of storm season with no solar production. And this capacity would be needed every day for any factory running part of second and all of third shift. You can blame the political machines that wield absolute power and control over the bureaucracies and the electoral systems to a certain extent but ultimately, it's the fault of people who continually elect leftwing asshole after asshole who raise taxes, welcome illegal aliens, unlock the jails, regulate small businesses out of existence and brainwash children into subliterate robots forever dependent on The State. And then when these people flee the misery they brought upon themselves, they take their voting habits with them and elect the same leftist stooges to wreak havoc on the place they sought refuge.
++++ I think this has gotten more complicated in light of recent events. The latter is certainly true and I have lived through it. CO, a state away from which I am moving very soon, has been ruined by the locusts from the coast. Posted by: sniffybigtoe at February 17, 2021 08:55 AM (xfb67) ++++ The losses on each transition are pretty staggering. Of course, generation isn't exactly efficient either since heat is usually a middle step (except hydro), but you can achieve improving systemic efficiency overall. But in essence, electricity isn't about efficiency at its core. If it can be efficient, great, but that isn't the point. The point is life itself. The entire modern world since the 19th century depends on three things: clean water, refrigeration and sanitation. Life as we know it has those three corner stones, with transportation immediately behind the Big Three. Those corner stones require tremendous gobs of energy. iPhones and TV sets and lights are great, but life goes on without them. Life doesn't go on without the Big Three (or Four). Worked with a company that tried chemical storage of solar by heating salt in big tanks. It failed spectacularly - because everybody involved tried to cut corners on just how expensive it is to build a tank that can withstand the abuse of containing molten salts.

So some of it uses the power of regulatory commissions and other state laws allowing "choice" of power suppliers and corrupting that process to get the liberals desired result. No public debate. No review of how bad it could get (like Texas). No backup plan. In NY, when Indian Point comes off line there is no plan to replace the power is supplies. It won't come from windmills or solar. It's going to be a disaster that leads to power shortages on a grid that's already struggling and looking to "buy back" power from people with their own generation. Taking over the GOP has failed and will continue to fail because the GOPe are better at game theory than our side is. They have shown time and again that when their candidate loses a primary, they have no problem throwing the seat to the Democrats to prevent our candidate from winning.
While at the same time, we have been unwilling to do the same to them when our candidate loses the primary. The result, then, is that their candidates win and ours lose. Their candidates fill the seat, ours don't. They retain control of the party. The only way to change this dynamic is to be willing to throw seats to the Democrats to prevent GOPe candidates from winning. Do this enough and the balance eventually changes. It's risky, yes. It can be even be dangerous, yes. But if you don't do this, nothing will ever change. Game Theory 101. I fear that by the time the plebs scream loud enough about outrageous electricity costs and rolling blackouts due to increasing renewable crap, it will take years to re-activate old and construct new natural gas and coal generating plants to make up for the units mothballed or demolished due to green energy mandates. There is a cost and blackout nightmare in the making. But it is going to be hard to reverse the current trend.

348 the TX cold has closed some refineries apparently, and some natural gas supplies are also restricted (?) ... not sure on details of why, but mostly, some operations for oil and gas are also not hardened for such cold. ... so it is not just the "green energy" that is causing the shortages (of electricity, but also a problem for some of the natural gas directly used for heat)
Posted by: illiniwek at February 17, 2021 09:02 AM (Cus5s) Natural gas pumps in many cases require...electricity. And as far as refineries, crude and refined product can't leave by truck in all likelihood or arrive by truck. By the way, states and federal governments are compelling unreasonable, unworkable and disastrous alternative energy plans. They are compelling these companies, by law, to comply with plans the power companies are stating up front will lead to severe shortages and disasters.
Then when things predictably go wrong, they point at the power companies and start threatening too take them over. Because, you know, if the state ran things it would be so much better, and the plans more workable... Posted by: Marcus T, Unforgiven at February 17, 2021 09:06 AM (VpIIl) 371

Capacitors have an inherent resistance - which means they'll discharge all on their own over time. There are photos taken from balconies of darkened, power starved buildings in the suburbs of the glowing skyline, lit up like Christmas and Mardi Gras. When asking their overlords why this is, they get the simple "Its Complex. We need to keep power to government, the hospitals, COVID wards and the Comfort Shelters". They hit all of the politically correct hierarchy, because urban drug addicts should have a warm place to go while you are on your own. And apparently downtown hospitals don't have any back up generation like your hospital must have. Posted by: Reuben Hick at February 17, 2021 09:17 AM (zV48b) 421

Skilled people make terrible slaves, and that is always the very last step. The powers that be will squeeze everyone else to fund incentives for the skilled people on whom their powerful, nice lives depend. Compulsion will come later. There is still a whole lot of loot left in this country that they can channel as they'd like before alternatives become necessary. As far as power goes in general...
Civilization only advances when there is a corresponding increase in affordable energy. We've been moving backwards by trying to "conserve" everything. This country needs to build 500 to 1000 small, modular liquid salt reactors as a government project. They would be on federal land, immune from liability and siting lawsuits. Power from them would be fed to a simple interconnected grid for free. Local utilities would charge for delivering the power. Not only would this bulletproof the electrical capacity of the nation, but it would provide extremely low cost power to individuals for heating and cooling. Base industries would flourish because the power is their biggest expense. Just like a national highway system, a national power system would benefit the totality of the population. Think big. A bit late to the thread today, but some considerations on hardening your personal infrastructure.
Low hanging fruit, maximum insulation if possible, if building new or renovating, passive solar heating techniques (or cooling if in the hot regions), switching to led lighting throughout house, some solar electricity (better for electronics than most generators), and ground loop or open loop (pond or wells) hvac. In some regions, solar assisted water heating is also useful. For the most part, the biggest use of electricity and/or nat gas, etc. at home is the hvac system in much of the US. If you can minimize that usage (using the earth for a heat source and sink is a big one using heat pump technology, and then hyper insulation and sealing), one can reduce one's major expenditure of energy to hot water heating (there are heat pump water heaters that are very efficient and on demand natural gas comes next--plus solar heat concentrators can quite effectively preheat the incoming water which even raising the incoming water from the 60's to the 80's increases your efficiency of water heaters substantially but this works best with tanked water heaters than on demand.) - I also am skeptical except perhaps in particular geographic areas and for a limited non-exclusive capacity or usage. And that would be assuming fair market competition to other energy sources, without big gubbernmint subsidies/kickbacks. Posted by: Biden's Dog at February 17, 2021 09:48 AM (MSTJr) 487
It's even more fake. If I recall, it was taken during a test of the chopper de-icing system. The whole story of blaming the wind turbines on Texas' outages is fake. Numerous power sources and equipment failed. This is not to say yay or nay to alternate energy methods overall but the turbine blame game was nonsense. We need to be aware of the fake news coming from our own teams.

Said devices and systems may not function as desired. A lot of the problems here in Texas are due to this simple fact of life. Posted by: Gref at February 17, 2021 09:49 AM (AMIL/) 488
478 jwest,
I would agree, furthermore, we need to reprocess nuclear reactor fuel as well. That would more or less eliminate most need for nuclear waste storage at power plants. The French have issues but their embrace of nuclear power and reprocessing has shielded them from some of the idiocies shown in countries like Germany and England. Let's start with an April 15th target for a "Rally on the Mall"
One minor update - make it April the 19th, the day of the Waco Massacre and the subsequent OKC bombing. Posted by: Reuben Hick at February 17, 2021 09:54 AM (zV48b) 492

Posted by: Bill R. at February 17, 2021 10:01 AM (wzzJf) ++++ Because you're a flyover rube. In America, people talk to each other. Even if you didn't see it live, the odds are good that *someone* with whom you interacted knew the real story. In the insular parts of the country that rule us, however, no one ever discusses it. Truth doesn't penetrate the permiter. "How did Bush win? Literally no one I know voted for him!" Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at February 17, 2021 10:06 AM (UZVEt) 496

You may have missed it, but the NRCC is targeting 29 Democrats in the 2022 elections.
https://tinyurl.com/prwxddy8 They have a clear path back to a majority in the House and have more cash than the Democrats. Malig-Nancy lost the Speakership once before. It's time to do it again. Posted by: MachiasPrivateer at February 17, 2021 11:12 AM (EMi53) 502

Open Blogger, do you mean "inshalla," or "deo volente"? The Biblical God loves His enemies. Islam's god murders his enemies. Different gods make different followers. Hence Islam's daily record of mayhem, 1000s of British girls raped, etc. You invoke "allah" when you write "inshalla." The equivalent term, invoking the Biblical God, is "Deo volente," used for centuries, often abbreviated D.V.
