Surveillance Society: Tampa's Leftwing Mayor Says That Any Fan Who Didn't Wear a Mask at the Super Bowl Will be "Identified" By Law Enforcement and Prosecuted

Weird that all this high-tech facial analysis equipment is never available to identity antifa terrorists.

People have "identified" one maskless scofflaw in need of prosecution: The mayor of Tampa herself.

Or at least a tall, slender middle-aged blonde woman with Problem Glasses and a WNBA Coach Haircut.

Sure looks like the mayor.

Now, given the lightning logos on the jerseys, one can guess that that is a shot from a Tampa Bay Lightnings hockey game, but, as you can see, people are wearing masks, so this is during the pandemic.

But the mayor isn't wearing a mask.

Exit Question: Do any of you think she'll be prosecuted?

Exit Answer: No, none of you think that. Laws are for the Morlocks only.

By the way: Gathering outdoors is illegal again. Momentarily. Until Antifa, BLM, and/or Democrats want to gather outdoors again.

I don't recall seeing a valve on N95's (I've been seeing way too many lately) but N100's certainly do have one. The "fashion" masks have valves of some kind although I've never examined one. The KN95's (whatever those are) that are proliferating don't have a valve/flapper either.

2018, the German Trade Union Association (DGB) found in an analysis of
employment in the energy transition. The drop in employment is mostly
due to the collapse of Germany's solar power industry over the past
decade, as many companies were forced out of business thanks to cheaper
competitors from China scooping up most of the market.

116 An N95 or N100 or whatnot can have a valve or not. The valve makes it much easier to exhale, but does zero outbound filtration. The theory behind the "everyone wear masks" thing is to prevent you from spreading your germs, not to prevent you from getting someone else's. The valve defeats that entirely, and is why they don't meet the mask requirement for air travel (though a gaiter does, because policymakers are dumb).

If you can try to find surgical masks with metal across the nose. Put the mask on without your glasses and form the metal piece to fit snugly against your nose, the put the glasses on over it. I see so many people with surgical masks on with the metal piece straight across like it came out of the box, sitting on the tip of their nose. LOL. No wonder they are uncomfortable. 168 In figures released Tuesday morning by CBS Sports, the big game had a total audience of 96.4 million viewers on CBS and a bundle of platforms and outlets, according to Nielsen. Confirming suspicions that many had even going into the matchup between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Kansas City Chiefs, that is the least-watched Super Bowl in recent history.

With around 91.6 million viewers on CBS alone, the 2021 Super Bowl is still the most watched show of the past year. However, taking an 8% stumble from what Fox had on its broadcast network last year, the 55th Super Bowl distinctly had the smallest network audience since the very different TV era of 2006.

What is also true is that the total numbers, from CBS, CBS Sports and NFL digital properties, Buccaneers and Chiefs mobile properties, Verizon Media mobile properties and ESPN Deportes television and digital properties, are the lowest since 2007. They are down around 5% from what last year's Chiefs win over the San Francisco 49ers pulled in.

175 You can get N95's with or without an exhale valve. The exhale valve makes it easier to breathe and less problems with health problems from breathing in stale air within the mask. The KN95 stuff is simply an alternative.

However, the exhale valve function more or less obliviates protecting other people by wearing a mask.

All these sorts of high level masks have to be tight enough to leave welts on your face after removal for protection as they cannot allow any leakage around them. At a certain point, easier to wear a respirator mask except for the decontamination problem. It is still an exhausting slog to wear the gear and probably detrimental to your health.

I use different masks depending on what I doing such as insulation installation, solvent use, and various finishes. None are pleasant enough to wear long term.

I find it stunning to watch basketball and football coaches constantly grab the front of their logo adorned cloth mask, pull it down, scream at a player or yell plays, then pull it back up hundreds of times during a game. And then touch players, chairs, other coaches , clipboards, etc. during the game and after. Hilarious.

This reminds me of all the actresses who decide to become the next Martha Stewart. Lindell started this with e legitimate need: his son was having trouble sleeping. He spent a lot of time experimenting, then he slowly built the company, then expanded into related offerings.

It;s great that you want to emulate someone's existing business, but at least acknowledge that they didn;t just build their company over years of work and investment, sacrifices, in the case of people like Lindell and Stewart, they created a new product/a paradigm shift from an existing market.

The arrogance of Hogg is astounding.

297 I avoid wearing a mask as much as possible. Luckily my county has made it optional despite our dipshit governor. Last Friday, I walked into the local Xfinity store to drop off my cable box sans mask and nobody said a thing.

Some places around here are militant about mask wearing, and some don't care. I reward the latter with my continued business and don't bother with the former.

At my place of employment, I am supposed to wear a mask 'while in motion". At my desk it's not required. But if I get up to use the copier, restroom break, etc. I'm supposed to put one on. Access to certain doors in my building require a badge, so to avoid masking up, I keep my hands full and hold my badge between my teeth. Or, if I can't do that, I carry a mask and loop over one ear and start to pull it over my face, and by that time I'm past whoever I'm trying to fool, so I pull it back down and stuff it in my pocket. I've actually been (quietly) commended by a few colleagues for my resistance.

Eh, I won't go quite that far. Black people can't escape blame for taking the bait, and walking into the trap, over and over again, for generations. That's on them.

But that trap was set and baited over and over again by unscrupulous white Democrats who never relinquished their claim to owning the blacks. Democrat social policy in the black community has been deliberately designed and refined to create an environment of poverty, ignorance and perpetual dependence. Every single thing about it.

Yes. This is why the restaurant rules are so laughable. If maskes are to work at all to prevent spread (assume it, for the sake of argument), you need to, in order: wash your hands, put it on in a clean environment, wear it no more than 2-3 hours depending on humidity, wash your hands, remove it, safely dispose of it, wash your face, wash your hands again.

Wearing a mask into a restaurant, taking it off, putting it on to go to the bathroom, taking it off again, putting it on again to walk out - that is you removing and reapplying the mask at minimum twice and potentially four or more times, all without sanitation protocols that are necessary. It is markedly worse and *less* sanitary to do that, but those are the rules they wrote because they're tyrannical idiot assholes.

Several points, passing over the hypocrisy one.

First, what is the legal basis for such prosecution? And who the hell is she to make that determination?

Second, assuming suitable answers to the above, did she say this BEFOREHAND, or only AFTERWARDS, i.e., ex post facto? I seem to remember that the Constitution frowns on the latter.

The "melting pot" and being "color-blind" are both racist elements of pernicious white supremacy. It denies the person's racial identity and forces them into conformity with the dominant culture. It's deeply evil. This is why sociology has evolved away from the problematic "melting pot" concept and moved toward the "salad bowl" concept where discrete groups live together but distinctly.

The Comintern (i.e., Stalin) in 1945, when he ordered the CPUSA to abandon the "melting pot" idea and push the "salad bowl" one.

Why? Because he knew the problems that ethnic divisions caused in the USSR, and he wanted to infect the US with the same problems. See Bella Dodd's book, "School of Darkness" Ch. 13. (Available free.)

449 Just back from the store, they must have had 6 people dedicated to taking down the superbowl displays that were chock full of stuff they couldn't sell. I declare the superbowl a success. Did get large avocados for .77 each though.

There is a boastful quality to the claim that they can identify and hunt down random individuals who are guilty of nothing much.

"We have the technology."

As always, I appreciate the lesser intellects of the Left for letting the cat out of the bag.

453 397 Speaking of the NFL, Wapo's headline on the death of Marty Schottenheimer must be seen to be believed. At Insty.

What a cheap shot. You stay classy, WaPo.

454 I stopped in a local headshop the other day to get some e-cig juice, and was quite surprised to find none of the hippies working or shopping in there were wearing masks (mandated where I live.)

As soon as I walked in, gaiter pulled half-assedly over my mouth only, the employees all started reaching for masks. I waved them off with a "no worries, man: and yanked mine down.

I stayed and hung out with the hippies for a while. It was nice.

455 I wonder if any Tampa police captain is really going to assign officers to run this fool's errand.

458 True formerly, not true now. Virtually all of their complaints now are false, whiny, and/or a transparent attempt to avoid accepting responsibility for self-inflicted wounds.

Yeah the target has shifted now, its white Americans. Particularly non-woke ones

The last time I saw a trial this solemn, it was with half naked guys in the locker room, with the tallest guy standing on the bench seats, presiding over the event.

461 Isn't Hogg's dad a Fibber, or some other kind of Stasi?

462 414 But are stadiums ever in nice areas of town? It might just be the stadiums I have been to. Two that stand out are Yankee Stadium in the Bronx and Memorial Stadium in Baltimore. Those stadiums were not in the best of areas.

Cubs play in Wrigley which is one of the nicer areas of Chicago. It gentrified though.. up until the late ninties it's was really rough.

466 This sort of fits in since it's China flu related.. I
just got a notice that I can get my covid shot and I'm scared to do
it... Anyone here get one?

Not planning on getting one. A small percentage of people are seriously affected by the shots, including death.I imagine about the same percentage of people who are dying from the Covid.
Maybe the one shot Johnson and Johnson, a non MRNA vaccine, when it is available. The MRNA stuff scares me, I don't need to be a test subject.
