Leftwing Hysterical "Journalist" Virginia Heffernan Goes Into Histrionic Hate-Spiral After Trump Supporting Neighbors Plow Her Driveway, For Free

What's the problem?, you might wonder.

Well, there could be several answers to that question.

Histrionic personality disorder (HPD) is defined by the American Psychiatric Association as a personality disorder characterized by a pattern of excessive attention-seeking behaviors, usually beginning in early childhood, including inappropriate seduction and an excessive desire for approval. People diagnosed with the disorder are said to be lively, dramatic, vivacious, enthusiastic, and flirtatious. Women are diagnosed with HPD roughly 4 times as often as men.[1] It affects 2-3% of the general population and 10-15% in inpatient and outpatient mental health institutions.[2]
HPD lies in the dramatic cluster of personality disorders.[3] People with HPD have a high desire for attention, make loud and inappropriate appearances, exaggerate their behaviors and emotions, and crave stimulation.[3] They may exhibit sexually provocative behavior, express strong emotions with an impressionistic style, and can be easily influenced by others. Associated features include egocentrism, self-indulgence, continuous longing for appreciation, and persistent manipulative behavior to achieve their own needs.

The problem is that these neighbors graciously plowed her driveway without asking for pay and without being asked. They had their snowplow out, and they were just plowing the neighborhood, as a favor.

The problem is that Heffernan feels she might owe them at least a thank-you.

But, because they voted for Trump, she doesn't want to give them that thank-you.

So you can see this hysterical woman's First World Problem.

This is terrifying! And what if the neighbors commit some other kindness in the future? What then? Heffernan: 'What do we do about the Trumpites around us?' 4/10
'My neighbors supported a man who showed near-murderous contempt for the majority of Americans,' says Heffernan. 'They kept him in business with support.' And I'm supposed to accept generosity from THEM? 5/10
Still, they plowed the driveway so nicely. What to do? Heffernan thinks and thinks, comes up with answer: I'll acknowledge their kindness with 'a wave and a thanks.' But no 'absolution.' No way. 'Free driveway work...is just not the same currency as justice and truth.' 6/10
But wait! Heffernan *can* give her neighbors something. She'll give them the opportunity to apologize for supporting Trump! 7/10
More importantly, Heffernan will offer her neighbors the opportunity to put aside what they believe and take up what she believes. What could be more generous and neighborly? 8/10
Heffernan: 'I can offer them a standing invitation to make amends. Not with a snowplow but by recognizing the truth about the Trump administration and, more important, by working for justice for all those whom the administration harmed.'
Thus Virginia Heffernan comes up with a way to repay the spontaneous kindness of neighbors: A wave, a thanks, and an invitation to become like Virginia Heffernan. What more could a neighbor want? 10/10 End.

One tweet was enough to blow up the situation. "The poison here, from [Heffernan], suggests one should shun their kind neighbors because of their political choices. This is the kind of psychopathic behaviour that only a lifetime of indoctrination (and/or drugs) can create," a user tweeted highlighting the paragraphs in the article where Heffernan allegedly spewed hate.

For anyone thinking, "Boy, she seems so emotionally balanced, she surely must be a pleasant-looking woman to be so naturally socially gracious," boy, did you make a boner on that, boner-maker!!!!

Snow does funny things to people. Especially in the East, it seems.

Have a neighbor at our other property who raises hell if our lawn mower goes even one inch onto his property. No fence so we basically have to leave a one foot strip unmown on that side of our property.

Used to have a neighbor like that when we moved in. As it turned out he was claiming a strip or two of our property line. Dad didn't make an issue over it, although he later discovered the actual property line which was in our favor. He figured if the guy wanted to burn gas cutting his grass, who was he to argue over it? The next neighbor in that house wanted to build a dog enclosure fence, and consulted about the property line. They're better neighbors by far.

My wife got a text yesterday about 4 pm from a neighbor. The husband had been working all day on his snowblower and couldn't get it to work. We had a snowfall of about eight inches, and they have a big drive, and Super Bowl, ya,ya,ya. So I told my wife to text her I'd be right over.

I spent at least a half hour on it, they have about 4,000 square feet altogether. I didn't mind.

You know why? Because this woman and I had talked recently about the election and I filled her in the irregularities in the Pennsylvania election results. She didn't get crazy, but asked good questions, seemed interested, asked me what my sources were. She said she had heard nothing about it. In other words, she had an open mind. Definitely not a leftist.

I went to college with a guy who was one of the most stunning people I've ever seen in real life. I'm talking young Paul Newman level of jaw dropping this is God showing off, male version.

His girlfriend (now wife of like 25 years gah we're getting Old) was, in pictures, pretty plain. Not ugly, per se, but plain. It was to the point of you looked at pictures of them together and thought what is he doing with her?

In person? She is one of the kindest people in the world and she lights up every room into which she walks. Being with her is the human equivalent of all the happy drugs. She radiates pure joy. In person? She is one of the most beautiful souls you will ever be blessed to meet and he says how he has no idea why she is with him.

Now that we're all well into being 29, in pictures he's still amazing, bone structure doesn't lie, and she looks like the beacon of joy she is. Your outside eventually matches your inside works both ways.

Living in and working in the Chicago area all my life makes you guarded. We'd go fishing in northern MN every year and it took time to get used to really nice people who won't steal your stuff the minute you turn your back and aren't up to no good just because they're smiling for no apparent reason.

540 So moved to a new house, in a new neighborhood last year. HUGE lawn so my little self-propelled push mower wasn't making the grade (3 hours to mow lawn in the heat). So I did the prudent thing and invested in a garden tractor (aka riding mower).

Well, being the practical person that I am, I invested in a few "accessories" over the last year. Got the bagger attachment which made short work of "raking leaves", and got a snowblade attachment which has made short work of clearing the driveway and sidewalks.

I've also helped out a few of the neighbors with both since I'm pretty sure they are all older than I am, and I'm not going to watch a 60-70 year old woman have a heart attack trying to shovel her Prius out of the driveway.

BUT, NEVER ONCE, have I asked anyone about their politics before offering my help. I simply ask, "Would you like me to hit that with the tractor?" And the answer has always been "Yes, and thank you so much."
