The Acting Secretary of Homeland Security has issued a National Terrorism Advisory System (NTAS) Bulletin due to a heightened threat environment across the United States, which DHS believes will persist in the weeks following the successful Presidential Inauguration. Information suggests that some ideologically-motivated violent extremists with objections to the exercise of governmental authority and the presidential transition, as well as other perceived grievances fueled by false narratives, could continue to mobilize to incite or commit violence.

They aren't afraid of Trump. They survived Trump just fine. They're afraid of the 80ish million people in this country who either support or don't hate him. *We* have to be contained. Silencing anyone offering a word of encouragement or an outlet for us to talk is the real purpose. They can survive Trump (and have). Losing control of half the adult population is much more terrifying. They've crossed the point of no return in this effort. They literally *can't* stop at this point. We get subjugated and destroyed forever, or they fail. There is no middle ground. They cast the die and now they can't let off the gas for any reason.

Because the world the envision isn't possible right now. They want a small world with anything *they* want, full of robotic automation, where they hold all of the assets and the rubes rent from them. The rubes will also serve them, and be subsidized by them.

The problem is that there are *way* too many rubes. They want a fairly small servile class, all tame and cooperative and who do what they're told. A big rube class that resents their loss of employment, money, ownership, belonging and community is in the way.

The "Great Reset" is about power, but it's also about remaking the world to suit themselves. That world has probably 90% fewer people. Once they get the ball rolling, they will kill a lot of people.

Posted by: Notsothoreau - look forward at January 27, 2021 01:49 PM (JKNZq)

It is to boost Union wages as Union contracts are often tied to the minimum wage. So if the min wage is $7.50 but some areas have to pay higher because of the market then the min wage workers are making that more but the union contract is still based off $7.50, hence why the Unions are pushing so hard for the raise which on the surface doesn't impact many of their members, until you dig into the contract.

I don't even think they're scared of the Boomers and whatnot.

I think they're scared of the people my age and younger who communicate in memes that largely ridicule the ruling class, especially the Democrats. They know that humor and culture are very important, and they are worried that they are losing their grip on the younger generations, who have nothing but nihilist disdain for them, and the major institutions. The entire system only works if we all accept their world view. If a large number of young people are ridiculing it, that's a problem for them.

If they investigate anything, it should be the hedge funds taking naked short positions and the broker-dealers that facilitated it since, as Harry noted in the previous thread, it's illegal. If you're wondering why the market is down big, it's because all those short holders of GME and other targeted stocks are scrounging for cash in their other positions to cover the huge margin calls they are getting.

Lemme put some learnin' on ya. If you have a tech hub, if it's not actual industrial engineering you are going to have to hire SW Engineers of various stripes. They go to college. And get arts degrees not science degrees. They are overwhelmingly communist pawns no matter where you are. And likely your own supply of communist coders will exhaust quickly so you'll end up importing them from the last Tech Hub, in this case California. And they will bring their communoyuppiehipster lifestyle preferences with them which means you will get even more communoyuppiehipster businesses to serve them. Pretty soon your state Votes BIDEN.

It will happen to you to if you move a tech hub into your area. The problem is the colleges. Any location employing large numbers of college educated workers whom DON'T have a big S after that B are going to lean hard left.

Eh, maybe. The primary purpose of driving up the minimum wage is it benefits Unions. Most Union contracts are linked to minimum wage plus a percent as their floor. Every time min wage goes up, the Union floor wage goes up. Unions then get to argue, "Why pay $15 for an unskilled moron when you can pay $19 for a good Union man who is highly skilled?"

They also get the obvious added bonus of looking like a hero.

Yup. My prior job was exactly because of this. The company moved the division for which I worked from Silicon Valley to Denver Metro. Why? Because the wages were *half* of what they were in SV.

When I left, they were up to 75% of SV - and the company was reducing that office through attrition in favor of cheaper locales in other parts of the world.

This is all political theater.

The Department of Homeland Security on Wednesday issued a national terrorism advisory to last several weeks.

"There is currently a heightened threat environment across the United States that is likely to persist over the coming weeks," the DHS bulletin said before admitting they "do not have any information to indicate a specific, credible plot."

The DHS took a veiled shot at Trump supporters and conservative media outlets even though the only violence since Biden's inauguration has been by far-left Antifa and BLM in Seattle, Tacoma and Portland.

"We remain concerned that individuals frustrated with the exercise of governmental authority and the presidential transition, as well as other perceived grievances and ideological causes fueled by false narratives could continue to mobilize a broad range of ideologically-motivated actors to incite or commit violence."

The Biden Administration is using the military and the might of US law enforcement agencies to intimidate and silence anyone who believes the Democrats stole the 2020 election with vote fraud.

I doubt it would work. From the looks this was a case where someone got careless and is now watching their shorts get hoisted up the flagpole as a result. I gotta expect that Amazon, Alphabet, etc. all have pretty astute folks keeping an eye on their stocks to keep this from happening.

Remember, this same tactic can be used for lots of assets, including several rather notorious cases regarding national currencies, involving players whose names most everybody here already knows.

Posted by: creeper at January 27, 2021 02:08 PM (XxJt1)

Yes the monetization happens regardless of your actions. And really that's the strange part of all this. It is well known that youtube ads even google adsense is broken, i.e. there is no satisfying link between google's ads and benefits to the advertising company. Advertising in general is kind of broken.

I've settled into the belief that google/alphabet isn't being paid for advertising anymore. The flow of money is more like that of a vassal to the merchant's feudal lords. These aren't ad buys anymore. That wealth is taxes being paid by merchants to their tech lords and masters. The merchants are granted leases by their oligarch tech masters to exist online which can be stripped away at any time.

We've entered into a feudal system and what's happening now with the "great reset" is just formalizing that.

325 From Urban Dictionary:

cut sling load
Military hand and arm signal given to a helicopter pilot when their rope-suspended cargo is liable to cause the aircraft to go out of control. It is issued by holding the left arm out horizontally hand in a fist, knuckles up and then waving the right arm at the elbow so that the knuckles pass under the left elbow in a cutting motion. It is a term that signifies dropping a topic, problem or person in a hasty and irrevocably conclusive manner.

This bothers me.

1. The people "blacklisted" were commies.

4. They were not canceled, but shunned by people wanting to make money and not sell crappy propaganda.

WSB is mostly just an investment club that specializes in high risk / high rewards investments.

GME was one of those, originally, that ended up being in the unique position of having more outstanding shorts then the float, and WSB was like "uh, guys, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity."

Also, again, and I can't stress this enough -- almost all of their investments fail spectacularly. I watched a guy go from like $5,000 to over $2,000,000 back down to $0 on, IIRC, MU puts in a matter of a few weeks. Just kept "YOLO'ing" the money back in to it. It was pretty bad.

361 WSB is mostly just an investment club that specializes in high risk / high rewards investments.

Read or watch some of the blacklisted authors, and you will quickly realize that they were "blacklisted" because they sucked. Lots was produced and is available. No one stopped them from producing, but major American companies chose not to hire them. If they produced wonderful stuff, they would have been hits. But they didn't they produced crap comparable to the SJW action hero crap we see today that everyone hates.

This was not organized by the gov. (yes, there were hearings, but that was about foreign infiltration and people working for foreign gov. trying to take over the country.) the blacklisting was done by studio heads that did not want to fall into that muck.

Blacklisting in the 50s was like the mean girls in HS not inviting you to their party. Today's cancel culture is the school administration hiring thugs to kill you. No comparison.

In principle, a cabal of major financial institutions could manipulate Amazon's stock, but would face two impediments.

First, it would be grossly illegal, and impossible to hide a conspiracy on that scale. Now in the President Asterisk regime, that obstacle could be overcome by buying an indulgence from the Democrat Party.

But the other impediment would the temptation of each institution to break ranks and profit from its competitors' collusion. Greed would essentially work to impede other greed.

Their locations are a bit harder to locate but I do know they have facilities in Quincy WA and Cheyenne WY. Out of respect for Ace, I won't take this conversation any further.

442 In principle, a cabal of major financial institutions could manipulate Amazon's stock, but would face two impediments.

Most dedicated shorts(which is a small group of funds, long-short hedge funds which are far more common don't do this because their positions involve being long-short in similar assets, such as being long Ford and short GM) will dog-pile a company before retreating for a bit without any sort of communication between them. Each wave tends to reduce the number of long-term investors still in the stock.

Then Billy gave a barn-burning speech for Obama's reelection in 2012 that was so powerful and persuasive, it had *me* ready to vote for him.

(The only reason I subjected myself to any of it were all the people that were convinced Billy-Barr style that Clinton would "sabotage" him, whilst I unfortunately was not. I like being right, so I watched.)

449 You know I ultimately wonder what YouTube et al are getting at with banning Trump. Trump was never going to lead an armed revolution. If he were it would have been done earlier not now. This outcome the cheat-to-win was always the most likely with the followup courts-say-go-hang the most likely succeeding outcome. Trump's not stupid even with all that confidence he had to suspect this outcome was reasonably possible, and therefore hedged against it with force *if that was his intentions* while he still had a lot of it at his disposal.

So what is the fear now? What's the game now? These moves don't evince a winning design either to bring us to heel or force us to confrontation before we are ready. They are giving us time and motivation to consolidate our political circles, purge their compromised presence from our lives and prepare for political persecution. It doesn't make sense.

I reckon he came to a conclusion that many have, including me. A self-regulating market doesn't work when you have monopolies that conspire in constraint of trade and/or have captured the state system.

If that happens - and it has - then those firms need to be destroyed. I wildly prefer a corporate death sentence (antitrust action) to the alternatives, but "hands-off" works well when you have a fair, honest and open system - but is murderous if you don't.

Posted by: Harry Paratestes at January 27, 2021 02:38 PM (UPoLF)

Was watching YT video on this case last night. Turns out the fibbies had eight cigarette butts left by Cooper, presumably all full of his DNA.

They lost them.

508 I remember warning against the deplatforming of Alex Jones, while
Establishment Neoliberal scumbags like National Review and Ben Shapiro
applauded.
The National Benedict Arnold (Online) could not defend Alex Jones, after all he was not polite company. Yes, they talk a good game, well sometimes, but if they could speak out but risk a barb at the next dinner party? No, that is too much. Next you'd ask neocons to fight the wars themselves they want others to fight for them...

509 This just in: the Pope COULD be an atheist.

Actually, that's a pretty good bet.

We do know for a fact that the Pope is a dope, and also that he will not live forever.

An Atheist unlikely. He's shown true actions of sacrifice to a concept objective greater good in his lifetime.

Is he an orthodox Catholic? Hmmmmm. That bears a better discussion. A strictly Orthodox Catholic would not believe in the virtue of secular government as such, and certainly not suggest that world governance with an ostensibly secular body was a good idea. Only God can be Just on such a large scale, and on Earth any organization *NOT* placing God at the head whom tried an enterprise of that scale would be doomed to the failure of babble. Again pointing to the core solution is conversion not fancy human structure eschewing God.

511 Which Russian assets does China want?
Posted by: TheJamesMadison, back to random thoughts

Siberia. A huge area with vast mineral and agricultural wealth. And...."lebensraum" for the Chinese. Vastly underpopulated.

512 I was just placing some option trades and there is a banner at my broker saying you can no longer place Gamestop trades on margin.

That won't really hurt the thousands of little folks driving the price higher with cash purchases, but it will take the starch out of the hedge funds if they are held to the same standards. But I doubt they are held to the same standards. That just never happens in this country anymore.

513 Don't even get me started on how my white supremacism led me to adopt a nice brown baby from Guatemala. Apparently I culturally appropriated him from the Mayans. Plus I saved him from poverty and starvation. How dare I?
