The Morning Rant

talking ape.jpg

Of all the creepy things going on with Biden's inauguration, I think this is the most disturbing:

171 The Department of Defense (DOD) has announced that, after an exhaustive
Pentagon investigation into almost 25,000 troops, there is "no plot" by
the National Guard to launch an "insider attack" against Joe Biden. The
probe involved vetting thousands of troops following allegations from
Democrats, and their allies in the media, that the National Guard would
"attack" Biden at his swearing-in ceremony.

Posted by: SMOD at January 20, 2021 11:30 AM (3aI0K)

So my question is, what evidence did the incoming Biden administration have of an "insider attack"? And of coursed, the answer is: none, because there wasn't any. They demanded a "vetting" of the National Guard troops assigned to DC, and what this actually is a demand for a personal loyalty oath to Joe Biden. I wonder if they had to sign some sort of document? Did *anyone* on Biden's team realize how corrosive this is?

This is how things are done in a third-world country. When a new "president for life" gets elected or bumps off the previous thug, and assumes command over the armed forces of his country, he may not know which troops will be loyal and which troops are not. Perhaps some will back either the old regime, or some other rival, so in some cases, a regime change is followed by a purge of the military. But that is not the way we do things in this country, and that has NEVER been the way we do things in this country. When you join any branch of our armed forces, you don't sign a loyalty oath to the president or any elected-official, you sign an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States of America, period. That should be sufficient. The fact that it is apparently not sufficient enough for the incoming Biden administration speaks volumes.

I'm not surprised that the Democrats, who have been injecting third-world factionalism and thuggery into our national politics ever since the Obama administration, would do something like this. I'm just surprised that the Pentagon, or whoever was the CO of the Capitol troops, went along with it. I would think that Biden's demand for troops who would be loyal not only to the constitution, but to him personally, is a gross insult to the professionalism and traditions of our armed forces. I think it should've been treated as such. The Biden team should've been told by the Pentagon to go pound sand.

And this touches on something that I've noticed ever since Biden was declared the winner of the election, namely, what are they afraid of? The Democrats are not acting like winners, they're running around like frightened rabbits, trying to censor this and shut up that and deplatform this guy and cancel that guy and with even the control of the executive branch and both houses of Congress, not to mention absolute control of news media, entertainment, and academia, it feels like there's a layer of panic underlying everything they're doing.

So why exactly are they frightened? They remind me of a criminal gang who just pulled off a big heist, and they're holed up back in their hideout house with their stolen loot, and now they're trying to figure out what to do. They're afraid of the law, they're afraid of other criminal gangs who might take their stuff, they're even afraid of each other, selling each other out or ratting out the whole operation and wondering who among them might betray the others. This is not the attitude of someone who has won the game honestly. It is the attitude of a cheater who is afraid that the illegitimacy of the win will result in it being taken away. Of course, that will definitely *not* be happening here, we're stuck with Biden (or Harris) for at least the next four years. But we're now at the part of the Iowahawk sequence where they're strutting around wearing the skin of the presidency and demanding respect.

++++
They don't care if it's corrosive. They demanded this "vetting" and will demand special Party loyalty oaths for one reason: fear.

They're afraid of anyone in authority they don't own. When that fear was manifested in one man - Trump - they fought it head on. When that fear is manifested in many men - like the possibility of a National Guard that isn't Party-loyal - taking it head on isn't a good strategy. So they instead demand compliance and then they can take single men head-on as needed.

I have always said that the New Democrats know how to win elections; they don't know how to govern. Because acquiring power is the only thing they care about. Look at Obama: now election trick was off limits, including releasing child custody records of opponents. Governance? AWOL.

I grew up in Chicago. Mayor Daley was a machine pol but he knew how to run a city. These leftists don't have a clue.

They are going full tyranny, threatening anyone that even questions their "win". They may be (should be) afraid, but they simply know that we know, so they will clamp down on dissent harder now, because they can. --- They can't bury all the evidence, but they can make life painful for any that bring it up. --- And many prominent voices on "the right" will just shut up and confess the lie "Joe won, time to move on". Because that is easier/safer than becoming a target. Cheaters/bullies know this ... it is just an extension of the last four years, or the last forty years of the race card being played as a weapon.

Your first mistake was apple. I bailed on them for everything but devices. They want you to use Safari, and will torture you. This is the same thing as them killing off Parler in their app store. My only suggestion would be a complete uninstall and reinstall, but it's entirely possible whatever update apple just put out is meant to kill any of the evil alt-tech apps.

195 They completely lack self awareness.

There are fundamental reasons the market and economy was the best we've ever experienced under Trump.

Some of those factors were trade, key industries growth, tax policy, energy policy and pro growth corporate policies.

Those led to large gains in key sectors, job growth, industry growth, historic increases in wages across all demographics and increase in corporate earnings. That all led to better GDP and higher tax receipts.

Democrats are attacking every one of those factors in a negative way. No amount of "stimulus" will forestall the long term consequences of this attack on our economy and the individual. SME's, our job growth engine will take a huge hit.

They can try to blame COVID, but look at all the economic indicators and where they were trending until The Fraud and Democrats pulled their coup.

But the Dems were already in freak out mode and Pelosi was asking for crew served weapons also. So they double freaked out once they projected onto Trump Pence what they would do if they were in Trump Pence shoes. If PA doesn't find a way to punish the state level operators who let the steal happen, then yes they deserve what is coming to them. It's not like election integrity wasn't an issue in Philly before 2020. The time to take this seriously was 20 years ago or further back.

Maybe they can start to turn things around now, but that's going to take building the incentives at the state level for the state legislature and governor to taking election integrity seriously. Will they? Can they?

Of course we "know" now that the entire Russia hoax was a plot hatched by the outgoing Obama Regime in 2015-2016.
QAnon was just so much "mis-information" designed to mis-lead people on the Right as to what was going on.
The bitter story of the Trump Administration was that his own party sand-bagged him and undermined him all along the way. We may never know how much they undermined him in various ways, in terms of instructions to his Cabinet and agreements with the Republicans in Congress that were never acted upon.

It remains to be seen whether they'll fold to the ChiComs, like the legislative and Judicial branches. 255 They are acting like winners. It isn't polite, it isn't by the rules as written, not a hint of magnanimity. And we won't get any. The game is played by their rules, winner take all. And they now control everything, formal and informal power centers. And they're now flexing their muscles. Why we keep thinking they're going to act like gracious winners is beyond me. This is war.

They're not, though, and nobody expects them to be gracious. Contrast with Obama's immaculation: if they were acting like winners, they would've had a real spectacle. Styrofoam columns, the whole 9 yards. And they'd be trumpeting the things they're doing instead of sitting around taking angry phone calls from Justin Trudeau.

The wicked fleeth though no man pursueth.

They know what they did and that a majority of Americans know too. They have lost any moral claim to rule now which means that they will attempt to rule by force. To do so means resting on sheer malevolence that further undermines their public support.

We should not apply facile comparisons with revolutions--this was not such an example. This is a coup, more or less, and coups' success ultimately rest on the consent of the governed. Otherwise, every action taken further alienates and destroys the moral foundation of the government's regime itself.

Think how long in Eastern Europe that the communist regimes lasted when the USSR withdrew its troops. None of these regimes persisted because the majority of the people hated them. We are more like Eastern Europe right now than Russia post 1917.

When the crazy edicts start coming out of DC, they won't mean much when 25 states band together and say "no." I see Allen West's "union of states" coming to fruition in this time. And they don't need to secede. All they need to do is refuse to obey any unconstitutional BS coming from Washington. And there's nothing Biden or is fellow travelers can do. Not sure about that, at least not right away. Currently the order primarily affects small drillers, the big oil companies have years of permits stockpiled. Reducing oil supply and competition to increase the profits of big oil seems pretty straightforward.

There won't be any exemptions for anyone. They've made it clear this is an assault on the energy industry- and it's going to be ubiquitous. It's going to hurt producers and states at ever level. It will drive up the cost of production for American producers and make us uncompetitive in the world market. Based on their plans, we will go backwards to importing cheaper foreign oil solely due to The Fraud and Democrats policies which increased our costs. That's just fact.

Never happen. But keep dreaming and running from the fight.

It takes a huge amount of organization, fund raising, state level building and other significant factors to build a party today. This isn't the 18th century. A "new" party that lacks all those things would take a very long time to become any type of electoral factor, if ever.

It's a huge distraction that needs to be avoided and is only being pushed by people to weak or ignorant to take back the party.

The party is the voters, and Republicans have been very lazy about getting their hands dirty and becoming involved at a level that makes a difference.

We should be grabbing people by the neck and ensure Dogshit people like McConnell and McCarthy don't even lead a karaoke session. But we are too busy dreaming of new parties and anything else substantive.

The problem is deep red states putting people like McConnell there. If they put the (smart) conservative equivalent of Kameltoe Harris (like Rand Paul!) we wouldnt have to worry about Johnson being squishy now and then.

But in the meantime, they need to get to fix the election laws in those states.

385 The thing is, they don't deserve this. They didn't want it. They didn't vote for it. PA went for Trump, overwhelmingly. Their vote was stolen, just like ours. PA did NOT vote for Biden. I'm not a Pennsylvanian but I can bet they are absolutely heart sick about this, especially rural and Western PA. They will lose jobs and livelihood and their families and communities will suffer. That's reason number 1232 that stolen elections suck.
Posted by: Agent Cooper at January 22, 2021 11:44 AM (Dc5Qe)

And what Pennsylvanians need to do is start knocking on their state reps doors.. and ask them why they didn't do shit and what they are going to do to fix the mess they allowed to happen... if they don't, they will get nothing and be forced to eat it.

I assumed that they were no longer welcome in their home states any longer already. Their re-elections depend on whether they control the Dominion machines.

the "mess" in PA was caused by our Leftist State Supreme Court and our evil Governor! and the USSC was asked to help us right that wrong, and they declined!

390 No, they are not afraid of anything. All their enemies have been squashed flat. They are gloating. They are being spiteful little gits. They are twisting the knife. And they are saying they will never be challenged again. Being total ignoramuses, they don't know how the Third Reich, the USSR, the British empire, Rome, and any number of other "permanent" political units crashed and burned. It may take a while, but they will eventually fall. I probably won't live to see it, but it will happen.

It's actually beyond most users to get around that, even with a VPN, if Google decides to get serious about it. Their tentacles are into everything.

394 Marcus T has a good point about organizations and part of the difficulty is that it takes millions of dollars now plus lawsuits to get a new party even spun up. Furthermore, parties based on personality like Teddy's Bull Moose party lack any sustaining basis going forward in a majoritarian system.

That being said, the major barrier to a new party is that you have no officeholders and you will attract a lot of cranks of all sorts for a vague chance to hold office. Many Whig officeholders in the North became Republicans by necessity as the Dem path to office was blocked and the bridge was burned behind them as the Whigs collapsed as a national party with southern whigs becoming bystanders of an older generation as the Dems ruled supreme and got all the new talent.

398 Two points on treating the NG as a threat:

1) During the Trump presidency, there were numerous calls from leftists for our troops to "do the right thing" and frag President Trump. They just can't conceive that they're opponents wouldn't behave the same way they would if given the opportunity.

2) By the time an officer reaches a position with enough authority to put a stop to the vetting, he's more politician than soldier. Refusing to treat 25,000 soldiers as potential traitors would end his military career. Sadly, we apparently have an officer corps that cares more about career advancement than about their troops.

401 Absent any legislative changes to how districts are selected such as Proportional Representation or rank order voting, you will have two major parties (Duverger's Law). Thus, in order to start a new party, you must destroy one of the pre existing parties and to triumph over the Dems will require quite different policies than many here would support. Quite a few of posters here still want things like free trade, the role and regulation of corporations, the role of the judiciary, and so on.

402 The trans-women in sports might save male college sports. Imagine half the football team ids as women. Suddenly the university no longer has to offer women's soccer but no men's soccer to comply with title IX rules.

Get that agitation going and then if conservative voices came up with a good on-line education maybe the commie education beast could be killed. Lectures by great teachers and then some kind of video chats for class discussions could make online learning viable I think.

408 No white male should ever serve in the US military for a country that will send him off in foreign adventurism to get killed and will keep trying when he gets home if in fact he makes it back.
