Video: The Capitol Police Allow Protesters Into the Capitol

At least, that's what it's claimed to show. I don't see the Capitol Police around. I do see what seems to be completely unlocked doors-- no one has to pound on the doors or pry them open. They open just with a pull.

Did Capitol Police open the doors, or were they just never present, or were they present but left?

I don't know.

But apparently it is now unquestionably a good thing to shoot and kill a 14-year Air Force veteran -- who served four tours fighting the elite's wars in Iran and Afghanistan -- for entering " " " " the People' House " " " " through completely unlocked doors.

No memorials, no questions.

This is the snarling face of fascism, millions of "Good, Decent People" cheerleading for shootings and killings and calling themselves righteous and virtuous for doing so.

These are the "Good Germans" of Nazi Germany.

As a matter of personal experience, I can attest that trespassing doesn't feel like trespassing when an institutional building's door is unlocked.

There was a private school near my house that was empty in the summer. They had a big, beautiful indoor basketball court.

They frequently left the doors of the court unlocked.

Obviously, we'd always go there first to see if the doors were unlocked, before going to a back-up court.

Yes, we got chased out a lot. Eventually guards would come by.

But given that we didn't have to force the doors -- it just did not feel like any kind of a crime.

Of course it still was trespass. It just wasn't breaking and entering. Entering, yes, but not breaking.

But I'll tell you, that lock is a major psychological thing. Sure, you can always bust open a door lock.

But breaking that lock feels serious in a way that just entering the gym doesn't.

And note, we're coming off a year of being told that we must forgive the minor arsons/lootings committed by Mostly Peaceful Protesters, because they're "angry" and feel "aggrieved" and have been told inciting fictions by their political leaders and because being part of a mob just changes the way you think.

We were told that we couldn't judge protesters.

Well that was then and this is now.

Now we have to lock all these serious law-breakers up -- and possibly charge them with treason.

And also, we have to assassinate some unarmed female veterans of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

This is the People's House.

Come in, and we'll murder you.

6 In all the life streams I was watching, I never saw how the first people inside got in.

Could be that the cops let them in, I don't know. But once people were in, the cops kind of gave up for a while and everyone else went in through the front doors, which were unlocked.

Which makes even a trespassing charge a hard sell.

Or, in the alternative, you could charge them with treason and hang them, I suppose.

28 Just an FYI: based on the Gun Thread and conversations with many other's I'm beginning to be a little more than nervous about the violence that seems to be headed our way. No formal organization. No "group" that could be outed. Just informal communication to determine who's like minded and where people can go in an emergency should Shit Hit the Fan. I know I'm late to the party as a Prepper, but if someone had tried to convince me last summer that MSM in collusion with Social Media, could ever steal both houses of congress, the judiciary, the FBI, the Justice Dept, and now the Presidency I wouldn't have believed it was possible just because there would be too many Patriots standing in the way. Today, I don't even see any Patriots trying to defend themselves.

I was thinking about all the fundraising mailings for the rethuglicans and recommending the old gag of filling the postage paid return envelope with as much dirt and cardboard as possible when it dawned on me: this revolt against the party is t for some little transgression. This is the one where we actively say, as Andrew would have, "FUCK YOU, WAR!"

And so, my greybox friends, I suggest you respond to each and every party mailing by repurposing one of the many Amazon boxes. Fill it with a few bricks or large stones, use those little airbags they supply you with to pack everything together nice and cozy tight so it doesn't rattle, put a printed (not handwritten) "FUCK YOU!" paper on top, and seal that baby up. A cinder block would make a nice gift if you have an old one hanging around, as well. Use packing tape to affix the return envelope to the box, and send.

It's important to send nothing inherently dangerous, and for goodness sakes make no threats! Don't even include the word "WAR!!" on your note lest you be hauled in for postal terrorism :sad face:

As I mentioned yesterday, I have a friend who is involved in less savory parts of the internet, and on those message boards, there are several people who claim to have gotten on various Antifa mailing lists. Long story short, a week or so ago, they were alerting proud boys and others that antifa was planning to do some infiltrating both to further their own cause (collapsing society) and to make the proud boys and maga people look bad.

So Proud Boys decided to show incognito and try to find and disrupt the antifa people.

But every one there knew that antifa was in the crowd. there are videos of people pointing out people and saying "that guy is antifa, he just tried to break a window" and proud boy looking dudes running up to that person and escorting them out of the area.

Some highlights from the book include listening to the other side, forgiving others, and loving communities...hork hork. Plus this fat bast*** included his favorite recipes. I made a few of them and this fatso judson really likes salt. I couldn't eat more than a bite of his recipe for pimento cheese because he called for so much damn salt! Plus he tells the story of how he learned to make gravy, yes GRAVY, from the Barefoot Contessa. This guy is a terrible southerner all around.

88 Not that I care that antifa was the vanguard here. I don't think anyone did anything that bad, I think marching on government buildings to demand accountability from our elected officials is not a controversial thing to do in the least.

I do wish there had been fewer windows broken, but I mean, no one burned the city down, so as far as recent protests go, I'd say this one did pretty well.

89 The door where she got shot was locked.

It looks to me like the first allowed them into the building with NO resistance, even moving barricades and opening doors.

Then there were doors which were locked and they broke glass to unlock. Some groups may have also done that to enter the building.

Then they got to a door which was locked, and they broke glass to unlock, but

There was a guy with a gun hiding in the shadows. I am not saying it was intentional, but it was a set up. That poor woman had no idea she was going to be shot since they had already done the same thing on other doors.

No, the truth is not got to come out in any meaningful way. MSM and Big Tech will see to that. They have set up the means for the biggest totalitarian iron curtain you've ever seen.

See the dystopian visions of the future of my scifi books and movies. Total control of information and stifling of the population through absolute panopticon technology. That's been created (the population let it happen for the "free stuff" they handed out), and now it will be activated.

We have to go underground.

95 Set up, but videos of not harassed cops holding the doors does not look like a violent mob at all.

The part that's too late for Trump is that either the evidence was held out in such a way as to make it look "explosive" and then it was just 1000 papercuts. Lin Wood is busy talking about his dog's castration and Sid seems to have killed the kraken. The only one left is Trump. Does he have the "goods" on China Joe or the Epstein-pols? Due to the lack of scytl servers, this is starting to fade. The italian stuff is interesting, but not timely. You'd think they'd have dropped their info two months ago, but then you'd have thought Congress would get off their asses and note that they'd be the next to be frauded...Congress and the DOJ are most to blame, and of course that guy in charge of election integrity, what's his name...tupPence

100 Maybe this is a consequence of not taking the left as seriously as we should. I still have no problem with what happened with this and at best it's a tactical blunder on our part.
I'm just glad there were some Trump supporters that stormed in too. Even if this didn't happen we're still terrorists/criminals in there minds so BFD. So what if antifa got it rolling and we followed.
I'll take the positive "optics" of this maybe inspiring others and showing what kind of actions we can take. How many f'ing times has the left done this in the same building? Rhetorical question, I know.

114 How is it a "trap" to let people into the Capitol? Thousands pass through it on busy days. Worked there for years, in spring and summer you'd plan your route to avoid the main public areas to save time.

Galleries are not always open to the public. And when they're doing business in the chambers, duh, you can't meet with them to "redress grievances".

Was someone shot walking down the hall? Or doing something else? What was that?

I would assume they'd close off public access on a day like that, with a major public event happening. Certainly they would if crowds started "pushing back" police lines, which several here claim they say first-hand.

So the very access to the doors is a mystery, one that probably explains the removal of the Cap Police chief and House Sergeant at Arms. But I see more mysteries and questions than answers.

184 m - no outsiders are allowed in either chamber. Staff are allowed (with limits) on the Senate side, not sure about House, but I never see any there other than official Speaker staff, and pages.

Galleries in both chambers, not always open, when they are, people rotated in for 15-30 min during busy periods, as long as you want otherwise. Press galleries both chambers, rarely many people in those, only at certain high-profile moments.

I was never around for a presidential certification session (what % of Americans even knew such a thing took place before this cycle?), no idea, but assume the building would be closed to visitors. Low season, pro forma activity (normally).

Capitol Police may have changed - but they used to be not terribly impressive, basically a patronage gig via the Speaker at the time. But they certainly can set up barriers and prevent entry to the building (very easy, few doors, almost all conventional size).

The company I was working for for a while was one of the biggest in the industry. When the C-level people decided to try to start selling to FedGov (we'd been selling to state and local gov's for decades), it was decided that the best way to do that was to build an inside sales office in Fairfax, VA, place a sales team there, and hire a bunch of "DC people" to be our outside sales force.

And it worked. Got a lot of big contracts. Seemed like a strange choice to build a random office in Fairfax, VA at the time, but makes total sense in retrospect.

238 HERE'S someone familiar with the Capitol:

It is an exact copy of Mao's Cultural Revolution.

In August 1963, Mao gave a speech denouncing systemic racism against black people in the United States. He cast it as a result of imperialism, thus making it the duty of all enlightened revolutionaries around the world to fight for the "complete emancipation" of black people in America."

Malcolm X spoke admiringly of Mao's global leadership at a rally in Harlem in November 1964. Huey Newton, the founder of the Black Panther Party, came to view Mao as a hero and visited China in 1971, meeting with Chinese leader Zhou Enlai

Sorry, I didn't phrase that well.

Pilots have declared emergencies (usually fuel emergencies) so they could jump the queue to lane their plane, and they have been sanctioned by the FAA, up to being banned from flying the US.

So yes, a pilot could divert without declaring an emergency (happens all the time), but it would be harder to explain to his company why he did so.

Or he could declare an emergency, but it would be hard to justify to the FAA.

Senate rules change with majority leader. Not really much change, except when Byrd took the job from Dole (or Mitchell? forget now). He *hated* staff on the floor. He had them build a little fence in front of the staff couches, which you can see in the rear of the chamber, to "otherize" staff, because he knew too many senators would freak if staff were banned. Staff barred from Dem cloakroom, not GOP one.

Which was quite a perk - nice and quiet, no TV lights, WATS line phone booths, and often snacks (Jesse Helms would always tell staff to eat - "what is this? A gottdamned monarchy?" he said once, in a joking tone, while some guys looked over a nice appetizer tray without touching it).

270 So this story would identify me to a lot of people but I'll tell it anyway.

I was in trial. Working with a partner, we drove to courthouse together, but I had my keys in my pocket. I got up to do some witnesses and took my keys out of my jacket and threw them into a banker box we were using to store exhibits because I didn't want to jingle was I walked around on cross, its distracting to jurors and I might do it and not even Know I am doing it.

Anyway, we drive back to the office after trial, work until about 12:30 1:00am. As we are packing up to leave the office, I realize I left my keys in the courtroom in the bankers box. My partner is like - there is no way I am driving to your house in the morning and picking you up. We are going to the courthouse to see if we can get a janitor to let us in the room.

So we drive over he pulls up in front. He tells me to run up to the front door and just try it see if it is open. I'm like no way. I do it. It is open. I am afraid to go in. He's like come on, I go with you (ex prosecutor). We go in and we find the court room itself locked. Although the front door was unlocked.

Heh, I guess that's true.

"Turns out I have a plane full of domestic terrorists who are being very rowdy, I'm afraid for my life and for the life of the non domestic terrorist passengers" would probably play well in todays current enviornment.

Although I suspect American Airlines would still not be pleased. It's very expensive to land at a random airport. Plus then they'd have to unload everyone, refuel, recalculate take off weight and everything, take off again, and get the plane to where it's supposed to be, and pay ANOTHER landing fee.

339 Pilots have declared emergencies (usually fuel emergencies) so they could jump the queue to lane their plane, and they have been sanctioned by the FAA, up to being banned from flying the US.

So yes, a pilot could divert without declaring an emergency (happens all the time), but it would be harder to explain to his company why he did so.

Or he could declare an emergency, but it would be hard to justify to the FAA.

Yeah, Big Tech made devices that they can control what software is allowed to be loaded. Perfect tool for the panopticon. All done in the name of protecting you against malware (which is a real threat, of course). But also very useful for running a totalitarian iron curtain.

PCs never used that model, thank God. MS will try to make Windows more like that, looks like, but the old Win32 desktop and command line interface is very popular and they won't be able to get rid of it.

Don't trust MS. All resistance/underground activity needs to be done with Linux (virtual machines are option too, if you don't to run Linux on bare metal).

Y'all had better become Linux geeks, and geeks in general to avoid the Panopticon.

Maybe Pelosi will allow a vote on Articles, knowing that the vote will split / end the GOP. Trump is neutered -- it's not that he's a threat. Procedurally, McConnell can't ignore Articles that are delivered to him -- he has to take it up, which will eventually force a vote. Several members of the GOP will defect, splitting the party.
If Pelosi proceeds, that's her objective. If anyone other than Romney votes to convict, it's the end of the GOP.

Did they shoot an unarmed woman for getting too close to Chuck? I want to know.

Anyway, they has plenty of space between them and the Air Force vet. They had a TAC Team on her side of the glass. No law enforcement on her side had guns out. But they shot her dead with an aimed shot.

Got it. Just be ready for what comes next.

I will not get a motherboard with a BIOS that won't allow you to disable SecureBoot(tm). So far, most of them allow it, but that could change.

IIRC, Fedora went through the some hoops to allow it to get a key to boot under SecureBoot. But not all distros do.

A couple of weeks ago, one of the conservative blogs had photos of Biden's team preparing the inauguration in the same place, but they were removing bleachers and any viewing areas for people to gather. They also had put up a bunch of weird ass flags, like Austria, LGBTQ South Africa, Trans flags etc. While they DID have photos of the correct place, it's so hard to tell these days if it's photoshopped etc. But, when Biden's own people say shit like "celebrate the diversity of the people" I have to think it's entirely possible. They can certainly change their minds at the last second, especially if goolag gives the thumbs up for their deep fake Biden replicant.

So double secret impeachment which requires shredding the rules in the House and a nuclear option vote in the Senate where Pence has the deciding vote until Jan 20th.

Some debate over whether impeachment is moot once the term is officially over.

I expect distorted readings of my comments on lefty sites, but I was clearly setting aside what the Left are doing. Murder is a read line for me, and x100 when done by the state.

But that only supports my statement. The protesters did little wrong, and much much less than any sane person would expect in any large protest. A few broken windows, a clown with a podium, and allegedly some papers on the floor. (I really doubt that last one.)

557 552 Sorry to hear about that CN. Words like condolences simply do not match the occasion. Glad your pet did not suffer.

Thanks. Me too. I lost one to pancreatic cancer which was very painful to see. This time there was no decision to make.

559 The legal term you are grasping for it "an attractive nuisance".

That unlocked basketball court was an attractive nuisance. It was very attractive to little morons.

Since no one got hurt, the matter never got before the lawyers. But if akid drowns in your pool when you did not have a locked fence to keep the kids put, you will be legally liable.

And clearly the Capitol building is attractive and its occupants are a nuisance.

560 Thanks, creeper. I'm still stunned. He was improving so much since September and we had the best day on Sunday

That was his gift to you, I bet.

561 These people getting their lives ruined because they went into the capitol is insane.

People are getting fired for just going to the protest.

563 Tracy Beanz has been purged from Twitter.

She started as a home internet sleuth with UncoverDC and became a podcaster with Dark to Light. She's gained the attention of Trump, Flynn, and Powell in a very short time. She recently interviewed Patrick Byrne.

Please continue to follow her on Twitter and Podbean. She's wonderful.

564 From what I remember about trespass law (as part of getting my JD in Bird law). If you do not have a posting that the public is not allowed, it is not trespassing until you have been told to leave and you fail to comply. These are public buildings. So the public should be allowed anyway (though obviously they can be locked and access can be restricted).

568 I watched the video. The Capitol Police are there, on either side of the hallway as the cameraman walks through. They do part to let the protesters pass into rotunda.

Incidentally, the Capitol is a public building. It is open to visitors. You don't have to sign in. It's not the White House. It's more like the Lincoln Memorial.
