58 willowed

The stupid, elitist NCAA could have done this because all of the schedules this year were already a joke. This single playoff game would have made millions in TV revenue.
And would have set the stage for an actual 8 game playoff, which would be spectacularly successful.
But the NCAA is involved. So never mind. Big bank balances and small minds are a dangerous combination.
Posted by: LeftCoast Dawg at January 01, 2021 07:57 PM (sy5kK)

You guys realize the College Football Playoff's are not run by the NCAA. They use the NCAA rules for playing , but it is a separate 501c organization that runs the entire playoff and the NCAA has no say in who is in or out of the playoff.

The television rights were sold to ESPN. The selection board is made up 18 college AD's, former coaches, and until this year, Condeleeza Rice and some other athletic big wigs.

It does make me wonder why Trump would have brought back various forms of federal execution. So much weirdness going on. So much psyops and misinfo.

Like, what ever happened to the Scytle servers that were supposedly take in a raid? Did the good guys not get them? And, what ever happened to Haspel? Kind of conspicuous by absence, since she was kind of everywhere in October. Either a lot is going on, or absolutely squat.

As somebody said after Lin's tweet about Epstein being alive. Wouldn't it be awesome if on 1/6 they trot Epstein in front of congress wearing an orange jumpsuit where he spills his guts complete with a slide show?

Who knows, but I'm entitled to dream. Since that sort of stuff won't happen during the sleep deprivation sessions at the reeducation camps.

174 Rod Serling at war!

For a variety of reasons, Serling was transferred to the 511th's demolition platoon, nicknamed "The Death Squad" for its high casualty rate. According to Sergeant Frank Lewis, leader of the demolitions squad, "He screwed up somewhere along the line. Apparently he got on someone's nerves." Lewis also judged that Serling was not suited to be a field soldier: "he didn't have the wits or aggressiveness required for combat." At one point, Lewis, Serling, and others were in a firefight, trapped in a foxhole [in the Philippines]. As they waited for darkness, Lewis noticed that Serling had not reloaded any of his extra magazines. Serling sometimes went exploring on his own, against orders, and got lost.

I watch kids shows, especially these days since I don't want to be pissed off every hour.

There's a show called 'Just Add Magic' about three girls who 'inherit' a magic cookbook. The various recipes the girls cook have magical effects. Every episode in season 1 has the girls cooking...nice slow motion effects. It's a great show to watch if you have any young chefs in your family.

I finished season 1 twice...because it helps to understand everything. And the main star, Olivia Sanabia, I follow her on Instagram. She's 17 and the most beautiful girl and really pretty too..

During quarantine, she had "Positivi - tea with Olivia" where she would share good news and try to cheer people up. Baked a peach pie in one episode. She said Amazon, it is an Amazon show, had professional chefs come in and teach. Very nice show. Cooking. Kid friendly. No gay crap.

I watched Mike Tyson Mysteries thinking it was an animated kids' show. Animated it is but kids' show it is not. Iron Mike voices his own character and makes fun of himself and everybody else. For example, he's sworn off violence but had his fingers crossed on two exceptions 1) Grand Wjzard of the KKK and 2) if somebody builds a time machine so he can go back and punch out Hitler. Garry Kasparov introduces himself as a grandmaster and Tyson interprets that as a Grand Wizard and punches him out. Mike mistakes chess playing computer Big Blue as a time machine with Hitler inside and punches it out revealing an IBM fraud (not that a fine company like IBM would do such a thing).

That sounds wonderfully bizarre.

Many of the cartoons these days are very adult. Think "Archer". I don't watch much animated stuff. I just want to be able to sit down for 22 minutes sometimes, watch characters I care about and laugh without being bombarded by all the gay crap.

And we all here, rightfully hate Disney. But their Disney Channel shows are really well done and well written. I find them funnier than most 'adult' shows. And the kids on Instagram - all the girls are girly. And family and God are most important to them. It's like a propaganda backfire.

It's just fine with 4 teams.

When you consider that the 1-seed has blown out the 4-seed more than not in the past 7 playoffs, why does anyone want to see a 1 vs. *8* matchup? (Yeah, $$$$$, I know.)

As for the other bowls, there's still something to them, especially the big ones.

Christian McCaffrey played in the Rose Bowl, but backed out of the Sun Bowl.

College football is the one big sport where numerous teams can end the season with a win, even if it's nothing to do with winning the entire sport.

They had a lot of "remote" campus offices for teaching elsewhere, and they let the home campus go broke.

Take it out when you are alone, obviously you keep the ammo stored, check one more time that it is empty, and just handle it. Point at a specific thing in your room, a door knob, a corner of a room, anything. Practice pulling the slide back, with the mag in. Dryfiring doesn't hurt it, it's not a rimfire.

It will be interesting to see the murder rate in places like Minneapolis in a year or two whenever they get the numbers published. If it's like Baltimore after their riots over a thug dying the murders had a noticeable increase. Of course they like to claim other crime in Baltimore dropped but I doubt that. Are you going to report that you were mugged or had something stolen when the police have announced ahead of time they're not going to do shit about it. Murders get reported because you can't ignore the corpse rotting in the street.

509 It is good to be respectful of a gun.

Too many get comfortable and lose the respect they should have and get casual about handling. And that's when they shoot themselves.

No one's ever been shot by and unloaded gun. Problem is that all guns are loaded until you have verified it yourself and if you haven't had the gun in sight then you don't know for sure what it's status really is. So always check.

They make that even easier than racking the slide there are cutouts so you can see if a cartridge is in the barrel and some guns have a cocked indicator. Also they can be checked by touch on the slide.

So check twice, even three or four times that it's empty. Practice dropping the magazine and clearing the chamber. Again and again.
The most experienced shooters I've ever met constantly check, and ALWAYS clear it before they hand it over to someone else. Who ALWAYS clears it again.
And a bonus, every time you get more practice pulling back the slide and the gun feels more comfortable in your hand. And more comfortable in your mind.

You want to have this habit ingrained into your mind asap.
