Just as a matter of armchair poly-sci... I have to imagine that the vast majority of Trump voters were not wishy-washy whatever votes. They were cast with a near revolutionary fervor, in protest against a system gone off the rails.
The vast majority of Biden voters, given the strength of the candidate and his many, many useless years in Washington and his no-platform non-campaign, must have been less enthusiastic. In terms of "battlefield prep" for any coming Unpleasantness, the pro-Barbarian side is really starting off on the wrong foot there. How can 2021 not be worse than 2020? Look at the trend lines. The Left has declared plenary war on America, with territorial gains on every front. They are suddenly going to retreat? Or, after 75 years of ineptitude in fighting the Left or slowing their infiltration of every institution in America, our side is suddenly going to hit upon the solution or the will to execute it?

We Are Facing Unprecedented Corporate Tyranny in America
_________ To me, the key point came late in that. Which is that these guys are NOT where they are by winning in the free market. Sure, at the start, they did so (in so far as the market was free, which is rather limited). But once they got rich, it's been government favoritism that was key. The one thing I hold onto is that they have decidedly not gained at the ballot box.
- Sadly, though, that's a technicality that doesn't matter. If the traitors aren't hanged and assets seized, I don't see any hope at the federal level. Votes literally don't matter, and they'll matter even less when there are 40M new Illegal American voters. I think state and local will become more and more important, with county-level politics being the most important. Look around to counites where the sheriff said "I'm not enforcing this mask bullsh*t. We've got actual crimes we're worried about." That's probably where you want to live in the next few years. And how does a lack of honor code play out on the battle field -- will there be an inequitable number of injuries and/or death because you've allowed stupid people lacking in morals to serve beside honorable ones? Will one of these students go on to be the next Bradley Manning, Bowie Bergdahl or Spencer Rapone?

A Legitimacy Crisis of the Left's Own Making
_________ That was better than I expected. I knew it'd be on my side, but the author does zero in on the primary problems: 1. The fact that the loss of confidence predates Trump (about which the media and pols are in denial), and, worse, 2. That they simply refuse to even consider the question of whether they are worthy of trust. The latter is the bottom line. We seem to have reached peak irrationality in that the very technique of rational argument has been forgotten. I see this on even philosophical sites, and it's dismaying. Reason is, ultimately, the only shared faculty we have. Throw it out, and it's all about whose will triumphs. That is a nasty prospect. Posted by: Eeyore at December 31, 2020 08:08 AM (7X3UV) 91

82 Cobb County having two bad signatures is just plain old BS. You could have perfectly legitimate signatures that should be thrown. Most people, as they age see significant changes in handwriting and signature skills. If you're of a certain age, sign your name on a piece of paper while having morning coffee. Put the paper in a drawer. Repeat for a week. Compare the sigs on the seven sheets and you may see some big differences.

What we've got is an extremely powerful centralized government, with day to day administration delegated under very strict guidelines to these quaint entities that we call "states". But make no mistake - just about every aspect of our daily lives is regulated, in some form or fashion, by the central government. That is, being so easily hacked, loaded up with malicious hardware and bloated with dangerous software (e.g., weighted voting) plus internet capabilities is intentional:
I want to know how, in a first world society, that even having one line of code for "weighted voting" in a machine would not result in public execution of all those involved. Do they put this feature on a brochure when marketing this to election committees? There were a lot of people involved in these decisions and the writing, testing, deploying and maintenance of this code and all things aware of it. Army "leadership" overall is a mess. West Point cheating scandal is merely a symptom. Generals with big, "look at me" twitter personalities are cringingly "communicative" on line, staff NCOs and field grade officers gleefully bash civilian leadership on social media, soldiers openly mock the service, itsleadership, the mission on line, and all of it is varnished with the Army's weird strain self-righteous posing it calls "leadership".

#225 - I expect Democrats to go the Madeleine Albright route: "What the point of having this superb military you're always talking about if we can't use it?" They think the military is a knife resting in the utensil drawer, always sharp, always available if you just want to pull it out. I think they'll do that, and end up with a military catastrophe on their hands, one so utterly complete they won't be able to cover it up or get people to forget it.

Trump could invoke the Insurrection Act for the purposes of seizing all election-related data and a legally supervised audit. It would be a decision based on an exigent reality of confirmed subversion of election process threatening the viability of the Republic and with all other options exhausted or corrupted. The impact of a large standing military usually involves discussions of the ground forces. Not so much about naval and air forces. My thinking is that the merger of government and corporations into what now rules us sees all aspects of th military as being part of their economic control. This includes digital technology, of course.

This f'n year. After Trump got elected in 2016 I started taking orders for new equipment that had been put off for year.
Now after Biden's election, no orders except for this week I have several customers that want to pay for new equipment this year even if I can't deliver until February at best. Companies had a good year and have suddenly decided they want to spend some money in this year instead of waiting for the next. Now I have to decide whether to deposit their checks this year or next. If Trump was a for sure, I would deposit them this year, if it's Biden then next year because I think everything will go to crap after 3 months. It seems to me that much of what flies as conventional wisdom is 1980s thinking misapplied in 2020. A big standing army made sense during the Cold War - frankly, it wasn't big enough. Now, as you say, it's just another tool to use against us. And like most of the tools available to the political class - we insisted on giving it to them. Now we know at least one answer-- that almost every thought to counter the Communists has to be backed up by some type of Action. Civil demonstration and civil disobedience. And object lessons if the other side wants to get sporty about it all. Or we can develop fingertip calluses to rival those on Kamala's tonsils as we 'keyboard' them into submission. Total sarc. And most immediately and most of all, to me personally , is the fact that the greatest modern warrior for America , Donald J Trump, has asked all of HIS people to be in DC on January 6th. Action for today: Dont give more money to Walmart. And be in DC on the 6th as The Man asked us to be.
