Finally cleaned the Mosin-Nagant from .... 2.5 weeks ago? It's OK, dry climate (which has been dry as paper for months). After 20 min. with two powerful solvents and a lot of patches, and a brush, once again accepted that a 1925 bore will not likely be mirror-bright again. Rifling is stronk, like bull. Shoots nicely. Fun to imagine it made it to Berlin in '45.

Watched the first half of German silent SF movie "Die Frau Im Mond", about a rocket trip to the moon. It's amazingly prescient about rocket launches (Professor Hermann Oberth was an advisor), and the movie tropes about space stuff are already there (and it's only 1929), but mein Gott they need an editor. An hour and a half in and we haven't even gotten to the blastoff!

I am really expecting, and also hoping, that the Trump Group has a plan to pull this off. From what I see around the net in various places I frequent, I'm more than a little worried that if the Opposition succeeds here things could get bad. Lots of angry armed people that know things and I think the thought that Trump will fix things has served as a safety valve. With the Opposition in charge of the WH and the exposure of the GOP as not to be trusted, that could be the tipping point for a goodly amount of capable people.

A couple generations of Climate Change Doctrine in meteorology schools has so corrupted the models from poor and erroneous assumptions; changing historical data to conform to modern demands; inflating some inputs while removing others, has resulted in forecasting models that no longer work in the real world but do produce results that favor the political agenda. Actually something real is happening in Georgia. This guy Jovan Pulitzer has a way to scan paper ballots to prove which ones are fraudelent. They are going to let him do it. His method takes hardly anytime at all. He says he can scan 500,000 ballots in a day. He has shown that the machines can be hacked so his method does not involve the machines. He shocked the committee today by having a white hat hacker actually get into the Dominion machine while they were sitting at the hearaing so he could show them that the machines were connected to the internet even though they were not supposed to have access in either direction, in or out.

illiniwek, I don't think you'd identify the individual ballots that were adjudicated. That change would be electronic, which is to say not reflected on paper unless you also took those ballots out of the mix and printed replacements for them, but if you were going to do that, there's no point in the electronic change. So I suspect if he just has the raw ballots, he'll find discrepancies in the total.

People have been paying me quite well for enjoying my hobby. I find that in my industry, it isn't so much the writing the software, but the understanding the domain, discovering what the client really needs, strategery, architecture and all points between original idea to shrink-wrap. When I get bored, I find a different industry and domain, and sometimes a major change in location (e.g. Capetown, Kabul, Dresden) Posted by: Doctor 🐧, President Elect at December 30, 2020 09:13 PM (J3Eio) 473

Lin-Duh @ 390- Furring out is using slats to make the space between two members smaller. Say 2 uprights like studs, and you cut your purlin or bridging or fireblock 1/8 short, just fur out one or other of the studs and you will have to cut again to fit. After judicious measuring! If this board of which we speak being 1/8 short is a dare I utter....shelf? Just fur out one or other of your uprights and you are good to go. It's also called scabbing, but that word seems somehow wrong when talking to a lady.

Trump is only down by about 11,000 votes in Georgia so they don't have to find many. Also, they showed video of votes being subtracted from Trump and moved to Biden. As votes are being counted, votes are being subtracted from Trumps totals and switched to Biden. There is no reason for this to happen. This video I watched on TracyBeanz twitter showed over 30,000 votes being switched.

I'd never heard of Tito's vodka, but just became a Sam's Club member and bought some ... glad to hear it is good stuff. If I like it, might be good to have a couple (several?) cases for the apocalypse. Might be a better investment than dollars or gold. A couple shots is about all I can handle, certainly all I need.
Posted by: illiniwek at December 30, 2020 08:31 PM (Cus5s) Tito's is good but overpriced for what you're getting. Svedka is a better buy. Tito's is marketed as handcrafted, and is run through small batch stills but they bring in ADM corn alcohol by rail.... so they were actually sued for misleading advertising.
