Its spiritual warfare. God designed humans to eat meat. That is how we get completed proteins, and animal fat is crucial for brain function. There are some vitamins that just can't be properly synthesized, but are found in critters.

The mere fact that we salivate when meat is being cooked should be a clue that for those who don't believe in God, why did human "evolve" into eating meat, but the same smell is repulsive to herbivores?

They are against all of the Created Order, so naturally there is a war against humanity w/r/t meat.

I can't imagine a pill would do it.

227 Welp. Went to the funeral home today to make Mr. Empire's final arrangements. In was not *quite* as bad as expected, though I was surprised that it'll take 2-3 weeks to get the death certificates -- maybe a bit longer with New Year intervening.

First, the JP needs to decide whether or not she wants an autopsy, and sign off on the cremation. Then maybe a few days or a week for that. He was an atheist, so obviously no religious service -- maybe a small gathering at graveside. Sister offered two plots beside my mom and dad, so accepted those.

Picked a nice wooden engraved urn with urn-crypt, fraud protection service, decided I need to give sister a power of attorney for when my time comes, and set up my arrangements in advance.

I think I may be close to the character limit, so more when I have more info, or if any of you have input to share.

I'd bet you could count on one had black aristocrats in GB then. There was a miniscule amount of black blood in the nobility, not noticable in looks. Some of it descended from Alex Puskin who was maybe an octoroon.

There once was a man named Benny. Benny made a Faustian deal that if he never cut his beard, he would live forever. If he did, he would die and be cremated.

One day, Benny was fraudulently induced to trim it to nothing. Zap! Benny died.

The moral? A Benny shaved is a Benny urned.

Now here's where I've got a strange turn of personality that's actually useful at times like this. I don't start feeling positive and clear of mind until the situation is absolutely hopeless, and everyone is falling apart. Part of it is that you no longer have to worry about consequences, when you know there's no hope then you're free to do anything. You're not going to make things worse.

That's a very kind gesture because that's a good cut.

Can I suggest grilling it? Smokers are great and I use mine often, but some cuts are trickier than others (chicken breasts come to mind). Marinate it in something you like or go buy some Dale's or make a soy/brown sugar mixture and let that sucker sit on the grill for a bit before serving it with some simple sides like mashed potatoes to soak up the juices, and then take your buddy a six pack to drink on his porch with him.

I get more GOP fundraising texts now then before the election.
I ignore them, except one said "we want your opinion, not a fundraising text".

It listed 4 or 5 topics similar to the Trump opinion texts of a few months ago (what is the most important issue to you?: 1) immigration 2) foreign policy 3) etc.

There was also "other" and a box to fill out. I said "re-elect President Trump".

I skipped the rest. Then the last one was "comments".
I said "The GOP abandoned President Trump and let a fraudulent election stand. Rot in hell, GOP"

I wonder how many others commented similarly. The answer is, not enough.

I've often thought an eternity of that brief moment of finally resting after being exhausted only to be woken immediately after, forever, would be a miserable torment.

"Congress Pays $850,000 to Muslim Aides Targeted in Inquiry Stoked by Trump," reads the November 25 New York Times headline. That payoff went to Imran Awan and his family.

Thank you. Yes, he was fine Saturday morning when I went to take his BP and give him his morning pills (about 0930), but when I went out to give him his midday ones, I found him in the front bathroom between the toilet and the tub, unresponsive, so I called 911.

It seemed like forever before the paramedics and police arrived, but I doubt it was actually ten minutes. They checked him out, but I heard them telling each other he was cold, so I had a pretty good idea what happened, confirmed by EKG.

I'm coping (what else can one do, especially a former Marine?) but it'll probably take me a week or so before my voice stops breaking when I talk about it
