The Morning Report - 12/17/20

vicorvanq.jpg

Good morning, kids. Thursday and the big story is the impending report from DNI John Ratcliffe as well as its implications for President Trump's final gambit - Congressional Republicans discarding the Democrat electors in the six swing states (plus New Mexico), recognizing the GOP alternates and thereby voting to restore his legitimate victory for another term. On the downside, there are a few moving parts for this whole thing to be put in motion, with the biggest problem being the human element. Either out of hatred for Trump and the desire to restore the Deep State status quo, fear of political and actual physical retribution or both, the collective backbone of several hundred Republicans is in serious doubt. Now that said, much like the womp rat-width exhaust port on the Death Star, it may be a one-in-a-million shot to vaporize it but as of right now it is a shot.

Perhaps that's why Mitch the surrender turtle shit his pants yesterday, flapping his goiterous turkey wattle that the party collectively recognize the Electoral College's decision and become accessories after the fact to the greatest crime in American history. From what I understand, all it takes is one Congressman and one Senator to object to the EC to start the procedural ball rolling, and we have over a hundred of the former and probably a good half dozen or so of the latter eager to tell Mitch to blow it out his Chinese finger trap.

Meanwhile, getting back to DNI Ratcliffe's report, it should be noted that it only covers one aspect of the election theft, that of foreign interference. No, not Russia buying $150,000 worth of anti-Hillary Facebook ads in 2016 but a coordinated effort involving China, Iran, Venezuela and perhaps Russia, and the compromised and rigged Dominion voting machines among other things. That alone should be enough to pull the emergency brake on the crazy train and reverse our headlong plunge into the abyss. The fly in the ointment, as has been the case for the past four years, is a Trump ally at the top of an agency relying on hundreds or even thousands of his underlings that in whole or part are firmly in the enemy camp and have been sabotaging this administration since day one. Given the proven infiltration of the Communist Chinese into our government, bureaucracies, as well as the proven bribery of some of our highest elected officials and their family members of same, the Ratcliffe report if done honestly would certainly implicate CIA, FBI, DoJ and a litany of other alphabet soup agencies that were supposed to secure our election systems from foreign interference. In the event, they more than likely aided and abetted it in 2020 if not 2016 and who knows how many other prior elections.

Additionally, we have this nugget from money honey Maria Bartiromo:

"An intel source told me President Trump did, in fact, win the election. He says that it is up to the Supreme Court to hear suits from other cases across the country to stop the clock. This follows the high court's refusal to hear the lawsuit from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton."

While all of us were ripping the Court over its refusal to hear that case because of standing issues, is it possible that they ditched it in order to get to the individual state suits? Honestly, at this point, who the hell knows or even cares. As per usual, we follow the rules while the Enemy does anything and everything to accrue and hold on to power. And that's giving the Court completely undeserved credit for being above the board and impartial in this. The steal is real. It happened. The evidence of all kinds is massive and incontestable. The six state legislatures should never have certified their votes and at a minimum not awarded any electors to the College. But they did. Texas' lawsuit should have at a minimum been heard and by all rights SCOUTS should've sided with the plaintiff and thrown out the fraudulent results. Yet here we are. We'll see what happens with Bartiromo's source vis a vis SCOTUS, but I'm not holding my breath.

Not to be defeatist, but we are going to have to prepare for the possibility of America as founded ceasing to exist at noon on January 20th, 2021. The question is, upwards of 200 million of us will essentially become dissidents in our own country, internally exiled like Andrei Sakharov and Natan Scharansky. So, as Christopher Roach at American Greatness ponders, what comes next?

The most workable model is less Ronald Reagan's GOP and something more like Poland's Solidarity movement in the 1980s. Even under Communism and the imposition of martial law, this grassroots trade union managed to resist the regime and convert the government's suppression into a high cost in international censure. Some of Solidarity's more important tactics included underground schools and workers' strikes.

What if we went on strike?

It is difficult to adjust to the reality that ordinary politics essentially are over. The signs of a slow-motion breakdown of the old system first appeared only as fragments: Supreme Court cases on controversial social questions, sustained government growth under both Republican and Democratic administrations, intelligence agencies meddling in an election, and the full-bore resistance by the bureaucracy to the Trump Administration. The real "mask off" moment has been the suspect election of 2020.

We have to face reality and fight the good fight effectively on the terrain on which we now find ourselves. That means changing our lifestyles and efforts in ways that achieve maximum personal independence, mutual support, and tangible results.

There is quite a good essay on the conditions in Chile that led to General Augusto Pinochet from Jay Schalin over at American Thinker. He concludes:

The Chilean coup of 1973 offers hard lessons that many will not accept because these lessons do not appeal to superficial norms of fairness and tolerance. For one, electoral politics do not always equate to human flourishing but can instead bring repression. For another, a nation must deal harshly with those who would deny liberty to the rest.

Of course, Pinochet had the entire armed forces and police of Chile behind him. We do not have that, not in its entirety. But I can dream, can't I? As always, keep the faith and keep your powder dry.

That baffles me. Until Mitch did that, I thought Mike Lee's H1B gambit was the ultimate move in giving away the GA senate races. But this goes far beyond that.

Is McTurtle tired of being majority leader? I've always known he's a shit, but I thought he was a smart shit with an agenda. He surely cannot believe that, whatever the Dems offer, they will actually give. That's not how they play.

1. Is it true, as presented? I know better than to take news stories at face value.

2. What exactly does it actually mean? Is it simply that he's arguing that there were illegal actions, but cannot point a finger at a particular guilty agent? Avoiding the level of proof needed for criminal accusations? Or what?

People who rely on the MSM for news know nothing about what is going on (I'm in Ga and can't believe how many people have not seen the vid of the ballots being pulled out from underneath the table). Send people links to the people testifying in from of their state legislators about the fraud they witnessed as poll watchers. This is the most direct and irrefutable evidence that fraud occurred and proves the media is lying.

I have also drawn connections to the Chilean example over the last few years.

54 Of course, Pinochet had the entire armed forces and police of Chile behind him. We do not have that, not in its entirety.
________

We often hear the military is against us. When it comes to the high command, I don't doubt they've been corrupted.

But I wonder about lower ranks. I recall when Tianamen broke out, the Chinese found the units in Peking wouldn't break bad on the protesters, and had to bring in others. And they had had 40 years of Maoism to instill loyalty in the troops. Bad as things have been here, the Dems haven't gotten THAT bad (yet).

When people speak of "mutiny" they tend to think of Bligh and Christian, and that in a fictionalized form. But really it's been a variable phenomenon, which has worked in many ways throughout history.

The same applies, of course, to the police. Though they are full of corruption (as always) and those in charge are usually rotten, there have been many cases lately of them showing some measure of spine and sense.

She wanted me to get blood work to look for inflammation markers and a chest X-ray.

Well, ED doc would have none of that. Refused to even do the testing, claiming it was a waste of time. Said there's nothing they can do for me unless or until I get worse. +++++++++++++++++
Spot fucking on. First, you *are* giving the Court undue credit. They dismissed a case under original jurisdiction for lack of standing. Preposterous.

But this comes back to game theory. Which activity consistently shows superior results? It's tit-for-tat. If you get hit, then you hit right back, just as hard. Ignoring many "tits" without a single "tat" just makes you lose the game.

It turns out that "an eye for an eye" does *not* leave the whole world blind. It leaves the world largely balanced and peaceful.

155 Mi mama is from Venezuela - she spend most of my childhood telling me "We'll go back to Venezuela as soon as Chavez is dead!" Her take on Chile was completely different from America's; for one, revolucion is normal to her. (She lived through 14, I believe, before she left.)
As she explains it, the military, the bureaucracy, and the office of el presidente (and the police, if a separate branch) are to power in South America what the executive, legislative, and judicial branches are here - and a coup is a normal way to provide checks and balances. Mind you, they don't really represent "the people", they're staffed by the sons of the oligarchy that own all the power and the wealth, so the trigger for a coup is usually "When one branch makes life too uncomfortable for The Right People."
So when Allende stepped too far over the line, and all across South America they knew he'd sold out the country to the communists... the military came to Pinochet and made him the architect of the necessary, painful, bloody coup. As for the Dissappeared? They were mostly the people on the lists of who was to take over when they put everyone in the way against the wall and turned full communist colony. How do you think he knew who to grab?

According to mi mama, no matter what the socialist press in Los Estados Unidos says to tarnish his memory, the feeling in the rest of South America is split between those incensed that he prevented the glorious communist takeover... and those who think he should have been beatified on the spot. San Pinochet, she called him, whether or not the liberation-theology soaked Church agrees.

But it doesn't apply just to me. They don't know how many people are actively distrusting them, either. Suppressing speech has consequences. If things ever go plaid, it's likely going to sneak up on everyone because the Left has created an intelligence blackout.

Why have representation at all, if all they are expected to do for fear of retaliation is dance to the tune of the Speaker or the Senate Majority Leader?

214 My main take away today is we need to keep pressure on all of the state legislatures in question AND on congress. Mo Brooks is solid and has already vowed to challenge the electors. We need to be both blasting McConnell's office for trying to cosign the steal and put pressure on Senators to also pledge to challenge electors. The most obvious choices are Senators who are directly effected and conservatives Senators.

Call Loeffler and Purdue and blast them for their inaction AND demand they challenge. I do not expect that they will suddenly find courage or ethics but the yelling may be cathartic.

The conservatives we need to focus on, I think, are Cruz, Rand Paul, Josh Hawley (thanks for adding him to the list J.J.) and Ron Johnson. Also call your own senators whoever they may be and blast/ demand of them as appropriate.

These people are frustrating and maddening and I know we all would rather take a literal blow torch to them, but if we are to win this without a shooting war, we still need to keep working the phones, picketing their offices and homes... whatever it takes.

They are some of the most stringent Wearers-of-the-Mask in my parts.

My only guess is that it stems from them thinking the nefarious gov't system is always out to extinguish them as a group. Even though they don't give 2 thoughts about an abortion clinic on every corner in their neighborhoods, many truly believe the fable of AIDS being created to kill them all.

223 Because that's what it's been called for a hundred fucking years and that's what everyone knows it as.

In the old times the ER was a room in the hospital staffed by new interns or whatever family doc they could scrape up. Since the 70s, emergency medicine has been its own specialty, with its own training and board certification. The ER is now its own department in the hospital on par with the surgery department or radiology department. If I am talking to a hospital administrator, then yes, we are the emergency department. But for patients, I don't care... unless you ask me what I am going to specialize in when I am done with school.

279 Gunshot Wound Victims Included in Colorado County's Chinese Covid-Related Death Totals, Report

Murder-suicide case, husband 38 y/o, wife 32 y/o. Not exactly a high risk demographic for the COVIDz.

Grand County has had 3 deaths attributed to COVID prior to these two, so this would represent a 67% increase in COVID deaths, which the county thought would reflect poorly on them in the eyes of potential tourists.

On a side note, the coroner has determined that wearing a fabric face covering would not have prevented the gunshot wound.

Perhaps not. But you be just effective on the outskirts. Or just pulling over and walking away or parking in rest areas and refusing to drive. A general trucking strike would result in paralysis in three days. Everything is JIT now and stores don't maintain inventory. And there are too many truckers to nationalize them and hand it over to armed forces equipment operators. They could probably avoid outright starvation by doing that, but not much more.

Trump may have other Aces to play, but the main thing is to get the evidence past the censors, which is obviously why so much is being blocked. The MSM spins everything, defames Trump at every turn, lies about hard evidence. But the videos coming out are getting better every day ... Epoch Times and others putting facts together in digestible videos, while also skewering the MSM propaganda machines and their denials.

-
Do you know why the left wins? Because they take the most ludicrous of positions and push them FOREVER. They never give up. They never look at the wall and believe it's too high to climb. They have people arguing right now on the legitimacy of a man putting on a dress and competing in women's sports and whether that makes him an Olympian. AND THEY'RE WINNING! That's INSANE.

You lose an election in what's supposed to be a Republic and you're like "Oh, gosh! It's all over now! There's nothing else to be done! I guess Trump didn't save me, so now the state owns me!"

It's not wrong to continue to plan for the future. We have to break the Republican Party and make something better. It IS possible. And if not, we'll try something else. But war is the last thing you actually want. Especially if you don't even have the strength of will to attempt to oust a political party.

Well, if the super cynics want to put their money where their big fat mouths are (VERY doubtful!), they can bet $5000 right now at Predictit, that the DEMs will win both seats in GA, & then on Nov. 6th, get $10000 back-- because the odds where people bet real money are 2-1 in favor of the GOP holding those seats-- & that was BEFORE the Emerson poll came out.

396 NSA gathers all sorts of intel that can't be used in court, BUT it is used to develop a "parallel investigation" that knows exactly where to look for the smoking gun. Bill Binney described that long ago ... and it seems Mueller was using such evidence to try to frame Trump.

One military guy (Whardon?) said their were white hat hackers that observed packet flow from the machines into Frankfurt. That made the server raid from a CIA facility interesting. Hard legit evidence would be on some servers or routers, which would reveal the voting machines were indeed online, I think it would reveal activity and links to where the (digital) packets were flowing.

That may be why they know there was active interference. Machines were connected and accessed. Maybe Ratcliffe's evidence includes that ... and since machines were not supposed to be connected, proof of foreign countries accessing them during the election would be pretty alarming (a wake up call to the public?)

Deadline may not even be Jan 20th, who knows. SCOTUS could "stop the clock", whatever that means. How long to prove Trump won in a landslide? Or did they wipe the machines? But we know it was the Dems, we know Trump won until they stopped counting and we know that was a premeditated plan.

417 Biden is going to be sworn in. Patriots have to accept that reality head on and get ready for what's next.
My prediction - Biden will lead the most hated and resisted admin in history. Believing they are now immune from retaliation at the ballot box, he and his friends will foist their insane leftist pet ideologies on everyday America, sell out to our enemies, and wreck the economy -- and red pill 3/4 of the population in the process.
Allen Wests union of state will come into fruition, as mayors, sheriffs and governors band together to defy the insane directive coming from Washington. It will start with defiance of further Covid restrictions and escalate from there. When Biden orders Texas to tear down the wall and open the border they will tell him to go to hell. When Biden signs an EO banning gun ownership 30 states will tell him to GFH.

That's how the resistance will look in the next four years. After that, I can't imagine how it will end up.

419 Trump won. Nobody cares.
He's a jerk, and by now there's not even a veneer of lipstick to hide the pig.
His "you're fired!" persona isn't an act. He really does believe that you can lead using that "technique," because when you are a proprietor in high-end real estate... you can.

But POTUS ain't the same as "Real Estate Tycoon," and after four years you'd think this idiot would have figured it out. Maybe he did, but maybe he just can't change...
Being POTUS is all about team building and team leading. It's the biggest job in the world - larger than any CEO's gig, in terms of moving parts. Jeff Bezos doesn't have to run all four branches of the military, while running Amazon. Musk doesn't have to run the EPA while also running DOJ and NSA.

It takes a team - an empowered and trustworthy team. A team that you support, and don't badmouth.
It takes so much time that if you have time to constantly rant-tweet, then you aren't doing it right. This is doubly true if you haven't built a team that you can trust. If you are looking over every shoulder, like some deranged Captain Queeg, then there is no time for tweeting...
...yet, here we are. His "Administration" is worth of quotes, since they were more volatile than an electron cloud. Revolving door, in and out. You're fired, you're fired, you're fired. Oh, and btw, here's 20 nasty tweets about what a jerk you are, and how I am "the victim..."
...even though I am President of the United States.
This last wave of "I WON! SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING!" would be entertaining if it wasn't from the President of the United States.

As he sits there, less-loved than Nixon at his lowest, and completely isolated with only the porn-star wife that he bought keeping him company, all that's left is the petulance.
And the tweets, of course. Oh, there is always time for that, isn't there?
"Hey Fox! Screw You! I'm glad that you're dying!""Hey SCOTUS! Screw You Too!"
Johnny Cash's smash hit "Sam Hall" is brought to mind. Very relevant at times like this.
Did we vote against Fingers and the Skank? You bet. We beat them fair and square, and our leader was too busy tweeting and too busy alienating every competent resource that could have helped him, to protect our franchise.
Donald Trump rightly said "if there was election fraud in 2016, it fell to Obama to stop it." That is correct.
Same thing in 2020. It fell to Donald J. Trump to stop it. It was as predictable as a sunrise. Nancy did all but telegraph that it was coming. It was a haymaker that any pro would have ducked and countered.
But we don't have a pro. We have Donald Trump. A Real Estate Tycoon who thought that POTUS was an OJT gig that you could just "figure out. as you go, while pointing and yelling 'YOU'RE FIRED'"
He wasn't even able to use the agencies that he runs, like the CDC, to stop an obvious scamdemic.

He, didja here? In 2020 the CDC is now reporting - right now - that deaths are... down.

What a coincidence! What a Festivus Miracle! If only someone could have ordered that they report this data every month, like they would in normal years. If only someone was running things...
if only

Instead of someone leading things and getting us out of this mess, we got the Tweet-Victim. The Jerk. He has always been a jerk. His entourage is a classic grifter-cloud, no different than any other celebrity. He has friends in the same way that Gene Simmons or Cher have friends.
And just like with those other celebrity clowns, those friends evaporate as quickly as they appear. When the going gets tough? C ya.
He won. NOBODY cares.

prediction - Biden will lead the most hated and resisted admin in
history. Believing they are now immune from retaliation at the ballot
box, he and his friends will foist their insane leftist pet ideologies
on everyday America, sell out to our enemies, and wreck the economy --
and red pill 3/4 of the population in the process.
Allen Wests union
of state will come into fruition, as mayors, sheriffs and governors band
together to defy the insane directive coming from Washington. It will
start with defiance of further Covid restrictions and escalate from
there. When Biden orders Texas to tear down the wall and open the border
they will tell him to go to hell. When Biden signs an EO banning gun
ownership 30 states will tell him to GFH.

That's how the resistance will look in the next four years. After that, I can't imagine how it will end up.

442 (1) If your personal doctor sends you somewhere called "ED," change doctors.
(2) When we tested positive (4 hour wait, 4 days to get result, 3 more days before they even call from the County Board), we asked about access to "therapeutics," and doctors at several levels said this disease ain't that serious, just treat the symptoms, and if you get bad enough to go in the hospital, then we will give you whatever you need. Seemed uninspiring.

(3) But County Health did call back a week later, to double check that fever was down, and let us know that with no new symptoms, we were no longer contagious and could go out --"But wear a mask because you can still catch it again."

(4) But we're not done. A couple of days after that, we each got a real legalistic threatening letter outlining the fines and jail sentences if we had gone out before we were cleared. Fucking two weeks after we'd actually gotten sick. It was like retarded kids playing doctor.

448 "The six state legislatures should never have certified their votes and at a minimum not awarded any electors to the College."

Is this actually true?

The way I understood it, the legislature defines how the election is to be run (even THAT the election is to be run, technically), then the executive branch runs it, and their Secretary of State and/or governor certify it.

I didn't think the legislatures certified anything. Or is that wrong? I thought the executive branches, many of them Democrats, had gone rogue, both in terms of NOT running the elections as prescribed by the legislatures, and in terms of illegally certifying results that were obviously corrupt.

If the legislatures certified, committing treason against both the party and the country, then there would be a question as to whether they can change their minds (I don't see why not). But I thought it was a matter of them stepping in and declaring that the executive branch had failed to run a legitimate election (which is obvious) and overriding the tainted result, which is their right and their duty, constitutionally.

That's getting really down in the details, so is anybody in here up on this?

449 "...that the party collectively recognize the Electoral College's decision and become accessories after the fact to the greatest crime in American history. From what I understand, all it takes is one Congressman and one Senator to object to the EC to start the procedural ball rolling ..."

The way McConnell put it, basically he was telling us "we don't have the votes". In other words, Romney and maybe another one or two (how ever many it takes) would be a traitor to the party and America, and it would be embarrassing for them, and for the party, so don't do it.

I know there's a Congressman who has agreed to do it, and I think Rand Paul and Ted Cruz have both volunteered to be the Senators.

But it remains to be resolved whether the VPOTUS breaks the tie if the House and Senate disagree, or whether it has to be unanimous between the two. The law does not say (which seems idiotic).

Since it's a LAW, I would question whether it's Constitutional anyway, but hey - if it saves the Republic, go for it. This wouldn't even be happening if the Dems weren't allowed to violate the Constitution AND the law with impunity.

452 I don't think it is appropriate to criticize Senator Mitch McConnell. He has been amazingly successful in getting President Trump's agenda protected. He thinks well ahead of the Democrats and his actions are carried out to reach long term goals. And remember the Republicans have a very small majority in the Senate and several "squishy" members, so he has to figure out how to keep the majority on our side. He has done that remarkably well.

Here are some of his achievements:

1. More than 200 judges, including 3 Supreme Court justices. This despite having to get cloture voted on nearly every one. More cloture votes than for all previous Presidents. This week alone, despite everything else going on, he has gotten 4 judges confirmed and a 5th one ready to be confirmed (one of them by a 48 to 47 vote!)
https://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/vote_menu_116_2.htm

2. He handled the impeachment motion from the House amazingly well. The Senate Democrats wanted many new witnesses, which would have lengthened the whole debate for months, perhaps even to now! That would have been a huge blow to President Trump. He stopped them, saying we have to vote on what the House sent us. Period.

3. He stopped the bloated stimulus bills sent over by the Democrats in the House, especially the "HEROES" bill of last May, avoiding trillions of dollars given to Democratic party special interests, way beyond what did get approved.
